Hmm... It's not impossible - but all those dumps have been absorbed and the price is (currently) back up over 0.01 in spite of a BTC rise.

Which is way better than I expected.

Let's see what BTC does, if it fails to breach 750 again I can't see XMR going down as far as 0.004x and if it doesn't drop that low soon (December) I am not sure it ever will.

We are still waiting for some contributors to finish of code, but I can image we will roll out the new release by the end of November. As noted earlier, I was "all out" for awhile there on the 004 speculation around here... but got back in again, luckily, before things headed back up here to 010 again.

However IF Risto's 004 call turns out to be right after all?  I'll srsly probably even go *borrow* some fiat money to back up the truck for more XMR, LOL

This *strength* lately at holding pretty strong to 010 has been impressive, to me anyway.  Maybe that's false hope or misplaced confidence but even compared to BTC's movements lately, Monero's just *feeling* to me very much like a horse chomping at the bit to GIDDYAUP and RUN!!!

The Article you are quoting is outdated, as you can see with the Jaxx mention in there that everything is running good :p, above code is finished afaik but atm there is some issue especially on Mac that leads to some further push-back in date, but the word now is that there needs to new binaries out before the 5 January as Shen improved/overlooked the RingCT implementation and found some minor things to fix.

Afaik the GUI is basically done, just waiting on two issues to get fixed with daemon, so that a daemon point release can be done in coincidence with GUI release. This was discussed in dev meeting on Sunday, and though I got the impression that It wouldn't be done this week necessarily, there seemed to be a push to get it out a few weeks before the upcoming hardfork, so that people can be using latest version (with GUI if they prefer) when hardfork takes effect. So, that only really leaves like a two week window if it's not happening this week, but is happening at least two weeks before Jan 4.
