It seems so. That could propulse us quite a bit. .015-..018 and beyond once the inertia has set in.

Two new currency pairs will be available for exchange trading: XMRUSD and XMRBTC

So now you can buy XMR directly with fiat. This plus the GUI can´t get more bulliesque.

It seems so. That could propulse us quite a bit.

This opens the window between usd and xmr.
This is necessary step if it is in the pipeline of Monero project to replace btc as number 1 crypto marketcapwise (not necessarily userwise). That can be sort of "Independence Day of Monero".

This is very significant since one can move between USD and XMR directly with decent liquidity and no concerns with problems on the Bitcoin blockchain. Furthermore this is likely to encourage other Bitcoin - fiat exchanges to follow.

... because multisig is currently not implemented in Monero. It is, however, on the roadmap for a future release after the GUI and RingCT.

Edit: At a minimum one has to wait for the release of the Monero GUI first before anyone can goof "up the multisig with Monero".

I still think the wast majority of Monero volume will still happen on Poloniex.  
Yes this thing on Bitfinex is important, since is USD/XMR pair. So everyone who want to enter with fiat can enter there. But this cant give Bitfinex sole chance to par with Poloniex.



Most volume on Poloniex never worried me, since if something would go wrong on Poloniex. one other exchange would pick up Poloniex volume already next day.

Remember those old times (less than 3 months ago) when Monero fell from 0.02+ and so many people here were whining and nearly committing a suicide? Now it's hardly back at 0.012 and you are all about pictures of trains and rockets.

I wonder what's the average age of people here.
