I'm betting I'm not the only one who has been disillusioned that CCs are a hedge against money devaluation--seems Turkey's problems are our problems as well. My guess is that the market is derived by how much investor money can be allocated for high risk investments and not consumer demand, so maximalist's thumping their Bibles and claiming that BTC will overtake the dollar is extra funny for me today. People don't run to the experimental technology in times of chaos, they run to the side of whoever has the most thermal nuclear weapons and aircraft carriers.

That coming from the POV of a normie. But what if they know what we know? And as many of you guys said, this is a marathon, not a sprint (or race? I forgot. Lol). Anway, yeah... It'll all come around, and the normies will be getting in way higher than where it is now.

Maybe it's a triathalon and the lake is getting drained so the swimmers have less of a lead when we get to the bike portion.

In the last few weeks, Monero has seriously fallen in price, do you think the price will continue to fall further? Or is it a bullish trend?
In last weeks Monero got to the edge of the TOP10 coins by marketcap. Do you think the climbing will continue to grow further? Or is it a bearsih trend?

The patterns we have relied on when early adopter "whales" with no trading specialization were able to pump and dump reliably are no longer in control of the market.
I disagree. The major p&d cycle that made us wealthy is still there, and will remain there until the adoption curve slows significantly. That has happened in several coins, but has not yet happened in Monero. It has to rise simply because the fundamental value continues to rise.

I was thinking in terms of the broader market, specifically bitcoin which seems to be driving the prevailing crypto currency down trend. My theory is a suspicion at best, based on analysis of pedestrian information sources, and is clearly unsubstantiated. I would love to have access to the data at the big exchanges. I am happy to be corrected and defer to you analysis.

That influences the markets the most and helps the bears to rule so easily. But regarding to Monero that can not be sustained for too long. As usually it will rise wild as it used to in unexpected time. All we need is patience. I do not sell any single XMR before it goes to the moon. ICOs got more than 8 billion dollars just in the last quarter. They received them mostly in ETH and BTC. They had to sell some. No other options to operate especially in a downtrend. Soon we will have a lot of dead coins again and less options to invest for gain. Monero will be one of the few to survive.

I really think this is the last accumulation point before the institutions will just rule the entire market starting Q1 2019. I think Monero is getting stomped by those new Hybrid FPGA's and those miners are going to regret not holding. they are trying ROI instead of holding for the next leg up. Doesn't matter I still buy every week I can, 3 weeks since january I didn't buy I bought something else to try to roll over for m0ar XMR and 2 of them boned me. I also think it is interesting to note that BTC has coincidentally been falling in direct proportion to tethers not being created.

agreed; it seems that we are "digesting" the big 2017 ICOs, who have drained many newcomers and thus changed the landscape, without bringing much innovation.

Interesting slide about the cryptocurrencies Bitmain claims to hold in the context of their IPO: https://twitter.com/Excellion/status/1028426579158884352Monero isn't explicitly mentioned, although Bitmain probably used to mine monero with their Antminer X3 I think. Perhaps off-topic here, but I think it's also interesting to point out that they acquired 179,450 BCC between 31-DEC-17 and 31-MAR-18. That's more than the total amount of bcc that have come into circulation in that period

At best if not sold any could get half of that half million. But for sure they have plenty of XMO

No loss, they were not cypherpunks but get rich quick schemers. Anyone that joins these bitconnect type scams is an idiot and didn't do any due diligence and I have no sympathy for them and will not miss them. We warn them and if they don't listen then they make their own bed and when they are crying because they are lying in it hopefully that is when they will realize why they are there. And thats why everyone elses orders got pushed back. http://www.semiconnet.co.kr/channel_micro.html?menu=video_sub&com_no=771&video_id=8498&cate_no=11&cate_name=FPGA
