I should probably stop "@'ing" ck on my pool twitter posts. .. Sad more people don't realize this and the ck's SPLNS pool are the best out there.

Hope this pool can update its interfaces and stats at some point, depending on the port your hashing on stats are not displayed for 4334 and is for 3333 among the other ports also doing the same. Not able to set static diff, could use some TLC on updates.
Not a chance. You want fancy shit interfaces, look elsewhere. This pool is in its dying stages and the last thing on earth I'm going to do is do an expensive fancy shit interface update for absolutely fucking nothing. The last 250+ block solvers didn't seem to care. Yeah it is hard to rent 0.1 btc of hash since that is about two weeks of profit for me. And the odds are more then 120 to 1. So 750 to 800 spent on a 120 to one shot is a move. Oh wow, so $800 buys me a 1 in 120 chance to win $100,000? That's a lot better than any 'little lotto' haha tempted to try this tonight. But the last time I tried to rent a rig at nicehash it told me the solock diff wasn't compatible and wouldn't run.

Hello, I've been wanting to learn more about and do some Solo mining for a while now. I have a decent sized farm at 20PH and am about to grow that out. I just pointed 10 of my S9's over here and they are running fine. Finding the stats is easy. This sure seems like a really good opportunity. Question; Obviously 140 TH/s isn't much Hash. Is there a consensus on the level of Hashrate that needs to be put to the task that creates better luck/odds. I would guess it's pretty high like 30-40PH?? I can't point everything here but I would move a good piece if truly "more is better"? Any input is appreciated.
Thanks!

philipma1957 will break down the odds and details for you, he'll see your post and comment soon im thinking about 15-20Ph for a month should get you at 100 diff for that block, but could get lucky and hit it in a week, or bad luck and take over a month to hit it

okay my advice is this. if you earn 20,000 x .00001791 = 0.3582 btc a day mining on a "safe" pps+ pool and your power costs are .1582 your current daily profit is 0.200 btc. You could point it all 1 day a week the loss is 0.3582 on that day (assume a miss no blocks) the other six days your profits are 1.200 you net 1.200-0.3582 = 0.8418 a week vs 1.2 a week. you should hit a block doing this in around 35 weeks. If I had 20 ph I would do it occasionally you stand to gain by doing it. If I had 100ph I would do 70-90 on a pps+ and 10-30 here. It is in your favor to do it but long dry spells do occur. Here I am on a different coin Last 50 Matured Blocks Height Time Found__________________Status_______Reward______Luck 62536 Sun Oct 27 2019 14:36:45.........PAID................10.2600..........28.55% 62534 Sun Oct 27 2019 14:14:15.........PAID................10.2602..........51.70% do four or five like this below and you fall behind 62527 Sun Oct 27 2019 13:13:07.........PAID................10.2600..........132.76% I will pm you more info

That's really pretty encouraging. I know there's no hard and fast rules in this arena, but my 20ph power cost is around $25,000.00. pretty good risk reward seems like.

Forgive my ignorance in Solo mining. Even though higher hash rate does nothing for individual miner's payout, does the volume of HR overall on the pool effect the general level of "Luck" on the pool for all members? Like in PPNS pools?

No. ref https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=763510.msg52866169#msg52866169 1 page back. Even in regular pools where users share the rewards when it comes to any single miner finding a block the odds are the same as if the miner was running solo over any given change in difficulty. Only difference is that there are more folks rolling the dice which vastly increases chances of the pool getting a block and when one pool user cracks a block all share it. Remember -- no matter what, it is just ONE piece of hardware that finds the block be that hardware a stick running 100GHs or today's latest beasts pushing over 70TH. We just hope to be the owner of that machine.

sometimes people will do a side deal. Say you and I point 20ph each for a day. You hit you send me 2 coins I hit I send you 2 coins. We used to get a lot more action when coins and diff were lower. 10 man teams .5 btc each a 5 btc rental when coins cost 200 and blocks were 25 coins it was feasible. we had 1 set of rentals we hit 2 blocks in 90 minutes 50 coins spilt 10 ways was nice

Hi, Pointing an asicminer towards this "pool" we are told to use solo.ckpool.org:3335 ... Coming from Denmark, I'm noticing "Pick the server nearest you - Germany: mine to de.ckpool.org:3333" which makes me think that I should do this. But, am I getting this all wrong or do I just config my miner like this: de.ckpool.org:3335 ?? Kind Regards, Dan http://solo.ckpool.org
Configuration: Just point your miner to: stratum+tcp://solo.ckpool.org:3333 or port 443 Asicminer tube/prisma owners need to point to a special proxy at solo.ckpool.org:3335 If you use an incompatible rental service that refuses to work on port 3333 try port 4334
Set your username to your btcaddress with any or even no worker extension, and any password. eg: cgminer -o stratum+tcp://solo.ckpool.org:3333 -u 1PKN98VN2z5gwSGZvGKS2bj8aADZBkyhkZ.0 -p x If you enter an invalid address you will be rejected
Pick the server nearest you! Server locations: US Mid: mine to solo.ckpool.org:3333 Germany: mine to de.ckpool.org:3333
Pool code and pool operated and created by Con Kolivas, creator of cgminer and ckpool.

Hi CK, Thanks for your reply... So this is the right format: Server: solo.ckpool.org:3335 Username: btcaddress.worker Password: x BTW, I'm running a full node myself. Bitcoin Core, but on a windows rig. I'm building a system to run on Linux instead and when this is ready I would like to use this to be able to solomine myself. But, what do I need to do, to make this happen? Yes, I know. Your answer would be in direct conflict with your interest in your full node service here.. But I'm asking anyway Thanks you for cgminer and this service too Kind Regards, Dan
