So in order to find a block, my shares have to match network difficulty? How does luck factor in etc. Thanks!
Not your shares, your best share needs to hit the lucky difficulty number which is currently 10,183,488,432,890 - 10.18 T your accepted shares can be wayyyyyyyyyyyy passed that magic number and you may never have a best share of the magic number. so thats what makes it luck. you can be mining for a day and only submit "shares": 20622966027, but your best share is greater then 10,183,488,432,890 - 10.18 T then you solved it and get the block reward |

Oh got it. I always thought that bestshares was the best amount Ive submitted towards a block in all time. Alas, shares dont mean much unless its pointed towards a pool for distribution purposes right? I wish there was a discord server for this forum. Would be great! (quick someone tag @ck!)  |

My and my partners have 900th we do not do solo. As power bill is in the 2500-3000 range monthly.. And we would more then 17 months to hit a block. with standard luck. so 3000 x 17 = 51000 out of pocket with zero coins then hit a block worth 125000 and that is not true after ½ ing . |
