best share was 888157369 with last share at 1543678869

How does that compare with current Bitcoin difficulty?

Not even close

Dunno, maybe you were mining an altcoin?

That, and bitmain's firmware is notorious for being "wrong."

could be, but i would place my bet on you having a back-up pool on nicehash, so someone rented your hashrate to mine some shitcoin and found a block on that coin! . shit happens. one of my S9s found over 170 blocks while mining on NH with best share not even high enough to solve the first block that was mined by satoshi lol.

Guys, how do you set up difficulty when mining on this pool using mining rig rentals?
Ive put 100000 on password field  d=100000, but everytime the miner connects, it gets shares of 10k. Ive even set it up with 1million diff, but still on 10k.
Am i doing something wrong?

If you use an incompatible rental service that refuses to work on port 3333 try port 4334

Almost 4 years mining solo here on and today the miners go offline  Sad
Kept minimum of 1th here and pushed up to 50ph at times with rentals.

Goodbye Solo Mining...

Now is not the time to quit, but to acquire more asics, at this low cost.

with btc prices being this low, to most people it makes more sense to buy bitcoin rather than buying an ASIC . in solo mining every ASIC you buy is a liability, unless you have free power.

this could be a never ending discussion, everyone should think wisely before attempting to invest in anything mining related now. the game has changed. sadly 2017 is long gone.

Keep something on solo, we are so close! yet so far?

and there also seems to be some manipulation going on to drop price so low that big dogs with $$$$ can buy low.   thats some bullshit!! Angry Angry Angry Angry Angry

Would love to continue stocking up miners and keep running, but solo was the dream way to have kept growing and kept the lights on and the power flowing but it was not to be.

Anyone want some miners?

V9's S9's A3's D3's L3's + loads of S3.  Probably no use to anyone now though.

Hi, is it possible to mine directly to a paper wallet?

I think of printing a few and rent some hash for the addresses.

Damn this block  Huh coming soon?
Well it looks worse than it is because of the difficulty drop. The percentage should ideally actually increment with current diff absolutely, and not be scaled relatively across diff changes. But yes, even at 15% less, it still sucks.
