Sorry been out of the loop for a while, can anyone please tell me when renting hash for solo.ckpool.org is there a better location to rent rigs from or is it really luck of the draw?
I can't recommend anything in particular but I'm sure some of the others can make recommendations. Hey -ck thanks for the reply can you please tell me server locations surely that would be a good start? de is in Germany and main pool is in Dallas US. There is a slight lag on German server compared to the main one so if you have a choice, renting in US and using the main pool is better.

Hi there,
I'm trying to connect a S9 to your pool.
But everything I tryed out, I'm getting status "Dead" and the username is not know on your server.
Does it take a several amount of time?
- sorry if this is already covered somewhere, but I could not find this topic in the thread

Are you using a Bitcoin address as your username?

Is there any point to any of this if your best share is only 45m? Seems like any usb miner up to 15TH will never find anything

I think the last block was a low power miner.

I think the last block was a low power miner. Remember that even 10PH miners are just made up of lots of regular sized mining hardware. It is ALWAYS small mining hardware that actually finds it, even if it's from a big farm.

if you have to ask that question, then you don't know about lady luck. Finding a block here on cksolo is purely luck. if stats on app are correct there are 1490 individuals mining here on solo pool, with about 2368 peices of hardware. only luck will have 1 of those machines solve the DIFF, no matter how big or small.

My first ever solo block here at ckpool a few years ago when a block gets you 25 coins. I was doing some cleanup on 5 x S7 (around 19TH) in my garage, midway a Fedex guy came over to send some packages so I had delay power shutdown... When I came back to my workstation, I saw -ck post with my BTC address..... if the Fedex guy didnt ring that doorbell ...... talk about luck.

Something i always wondering is " what port do you guys think is better 10k or 1M" and why? Forcing the gear to send just shares over 1M lost the chances of some 10k share hitting the block? Or those 10k shares are just statisticals?

Since you need a share well over 1 billion I bolded the correct answer. 6,353,030,562,984 is how big you need.
