Well I thought CK is in Australia so I figured the servers are there as well but was not sure what was better as far as West or Nice. But I partnered up with another and together we are throwing hash here to see if we can hit a block.
Server is located west coast USA.

TY good to know.

Sounds almost like a "Pool of 2" on top of a "Solo Pool". Does that make it a "Meta Pool"?  Smiley

Pretty clever, Phillip. Looks like you have a severe case of "Mining Addiction", since you aren't running several Killowatts of mining hardware for the summer. I think there's a 12-step program or something.....

Well.....I approached Phil...so if this doesn't work out... I may need that 12-step program  Tongue

well we are priced out  so we sit a bit.  Good to know that you are closer to westhash then nicehash.

No worries I can also move our remaining 5.6 btc to west hash for only 0.0005  right now both are too high

nice is at 0.0111

west is at 0.0103

I have an idea will talk it over with aurel57

I want to hear your idea Phil....
I was going to say we could switch to west hash  since  it was at 0.0102  and mine it here. I then thought we could do both nice has and west hash at half the rates.

I then went to watch big bang theory and spaced out the older post.  I think just nice is better since  it is the larger source of mining hash.

Does this pool have it out for bfgminer? I ask because I'm trying to tune the voltage on some Neptunes, and bfgminer allows me to see hw error rates for each die while cgminer doesn't. I'll be using cgminer once everything is sorted out, but for now I need bfgminer. Seems like bfgminer (5.0.0) will only connect to the pool 10% of the time, and fail over to my second pool the rest of the time. cgminer (4.9.1) connects every time without issue.  Huh

Not intentionally, no. If there's something broken in its implementation that disagrees with ckpool then that's the first I've heard about it. Since I wrote both cgminer and ckpool it's only natural that's what I'd be testing with. Since the hostile fork's stratum implementation was initially entirely pulled from cgminer's reference implementation I figured it wouldn't have changed much from cgminer's apart from unnecessarily asking for transactions that no pool will do anyway.

I get disconnected every now and then. Like this morning when I checked my gear, everything went over to nicehash's solo pool for a while. Now its fine. I can tell there was not an issue with the pool, so it had to be something on my end. I use the "hostile fork" for my POS tube and the embedded cgminer is my S3's. Everything failed over last night.

This is true but the miningrigrentals site is so much better setup in my opinion. Very easy to use/understand.

renting hash is all about price and the website actually giving the hash to you.

Nicehash gives you the hash and has good pricing.  I am renting 325th for this pool at 0.0102
and thanks to your post I checked prices and I lowered my price from 0.0102 to 0.0101 see the 2nd and 3rd screenshots

my high share has been 2 billion

I lowered the price see below time it took under 30 seconds
