Even if you use Bitcoin through Tor, the way transactions are handled by the network makes anonymity difficult to achieve. Do not expect your transactions to be anonymous unless you really know what you're doing.

Mining doesn't work even after unlocking wallet, no cpu usage not with ui or even setting setgenerate true 4 does nothing

If you are using Linux

make sure you have gen=1 in your NoirShares.conf file. It defaults to gen=0 (mining off)

I'm having problems syncing again though. I see plenty of this in my debug.log

InvalidChainFound: invalid block=00af670a27e730bd4e91  height=1075  trust=40886  date=09/21/14 05:54:46
InvalidChainFound:  current best=00a216b4c994cc0d50b8  height=81  trust=411  date=09/18/14 16:05:30
ERROR: SetBestChain() : Reorganize failed
ERROR: AcceptBlock() : AddToBlockIndex failed
ERROR: ProcessBlock() : AcceptBlock FAILED

This basically means the Linux client is broken. It can't follow the longest chain.  The alpha code isn't working properly.

can anyone upload the version 0.2.2.2 to https://mega.co.nz/

Are you a part of the ORB Community or want to be it, then gives your vote! here!! One of the first 30 currencys in the World is Orbitcoin DEV Forum - don't forget free ORB's are here ORB Faucet, tell your friend's - With PoW (without Asic's)/PoS Hybrid-System everyone can mine ORB with general purpose pc-hardware. The PoS (Proof of Stake) generation features very low energy consumption. Green Stake over PoS

So strange. One Windows Machine I uploaded an earlier Noirshares wallet which got malware an hour later. (just sayin')

The Linux machine I've been compiling source, likes to connect to Barwizi's VPS node 8.38.76.74 but it always claims there is only 81 blocks in the chain. So the VPS seed node is giving different answers (I was previously synced to it on another box, and we were at 1700 blocks. Now it is sending out that 81 blocks is the current height to a new client.  It's almost configured to stop extra nodes coming on the net)

There's another longer chain out there +2000 blocks, but the blocks were created without paying a mandatory fee, and 0.2.2.2 complains about it, so it won't reorg based on the longer chain either.

This really starts to smell of a manipulated pre-mine by buggy code.

I've had enough.

Good luck to all of you.  Oh, and notice I didn't have any big red scam warnings.  That would be childish.

I'm outta here.

No, the NRS price I got was straight from Logans document. There was not ONE day that NRS was at .00004 BTC during the time the general fund was open, where did you get this number?

Read my accounting barwizi. I pointed out where the BTC is missing. As for the rest of you, please show me how 15-17 BTC worth of assets wasn't left over and taken by barwizi. Then find the premine money. Then explain the 2/3rds downtime of the mining op. No one has shown me that I am wrong. You guys keep buying into barwizi's numbers that are HALF of what the real NRS price was at the time.

You really are a master of misdirection. I have posted plainly here for everyone to see using your "evidendce", it's actually you who is supposed to explain the fictional numbers you keep throwing up.
My numbers are sound and verifiable, yours aren't plain and simple.

Well your efforts to hide behind obscure numbers wont be tolerated

No, the NRS price I got was straight from Logans document. There was not ONE day that NRS was at .00004 BTC during the time the general fund was open, where did you get this number?

 Angry Angry Angry

who do you think you are kidding ? the price even went down to 0.0000184 , and instead of using that number i used the more frequent 0.00004s, or would you like to use this table and end up with a lower median?

Stop kidding yourself, everyone knows how much they invested and what it was worth at the time, and it's documented. So dont waste our time trying to feed us bogus inflated numbers to  justify your crap.

I said prove your  numbers and all you do is blather on some numbers without backing, i am using the same docs as you and posting actual proof, facts and figures that can be verified. So unless you will do the same, your claims are unfounded and you are dragging my name in through shit just because you have hurt feelings about Project XUC.

Barwizi, if you want to prove that NRS was 0.00004 at the time people were transferring NRS to you, you cannot just pick some days and say, that was the price for the whole period.
So let's come with facts:
Look at cell x4 of the document. That states that on 3/26/2014 Lajz99 has sent 0.32405 BTC worth NRS to the General Fund. On that day the lowest value of 1 NRS on Poloniex was 0.00007598
See for yourself: https://poloniex.com/exchange/btc_nrs
Let's take another cell from the document: AD27: That states that another GF holder has sent 1.13 BTC worth NRS to the General Fund on 5/4/14. On that day the value of 1 NRS on Poloniex was 0.00004
Ok just for fun: cell T19: That states that Argakiig has sent 0.25 BTC worth NRS to the General Fund on 3/17/14. On that day the value of 1 NRS on Poloniex was 0.0001499
There are transfers from 3/14/14 to 4/12/14 and the price has had a low of 0.0000184 on 4/10/14 and a high of 0.0001499 on 3/17/14. Beside from that one day low on 4/10/14 there it almost always has been above 0.000035. So if you take 0.000035 and 0.000135 (I choose 0.000015 BTC lower then the most high in that time) the average would be 0.000085. So Chocobo's statement is right, 0.00004 is half of the price that was the average value of that time.
Having said that, I must conclude that the 49.81 BTC should be taken as starting point of our investigation, and that NRSlogan was right with his document.
So that means that having paid around 33 BTC for the mining op, and around 6.5 BTC for the taxes, there is 10-11 BTC that needs to be accounted for. Where is it Barwizi?
Having said that there was 12 BTC mined with the machines. That makes 23 BTC that has to be accounted for. Where is it Barwizi?
Of course there will have been costs. But they have to be accounted for. Because it was done with OUR (GF) money.
Plus there is a still a premine (presumably dumped) left to be accounted for....Where is it Barwizi?

Quote
Barwizi, if you want to prove that NRS was 0.00004 at the time people were transferring NRS to you, you cannot just pick some days and say, that was the price for the whole period.

I didnt pick a period, there is a tab in the document which has these prices and i copy-pasted them exactly, like i said, i am using what is in the document and nothing else.

Quote
here are transfers from 3/14/14 to 4/12/14 and the price has had a low of 0.0000184 on 4/10/14 and a high of 0.0001499 on 3/17/14.

I think in order to avoid further issues, we need to calculate on a per transfer basis, because we clearly dont agree.

I think you are just trying to make a sensation, if you were honestly looking for answers you would stay on track, we are still dealing with the actual amount put in , then once that is done we will move on to each issue in turn. Throwing up numbers like that serves no purpose except to try give credibilty to something you have not even proven yet.

So you presume I am not honestly looking for answers after I have put in around 5 hours work yesterday and today, trying to find out if the information given was correct?
I have even given you the benefit of the doubt for 7 BTC yesterday, but you were telling Chocobo his figures were not right. So I stepped in and did some calculations based on ALL the information.
It is not only you who decides how the investigation is going Barwizi. I react on your postings. I am still missing the receipt for the taxes. You still did not account for a lot of things and are trying to avoid conversation about them every time. Like I said before: if you want to be cleared from the accusations, you need to be open about your expenses for the GF. As the CEO, you are responsible in case other officers are not around.

Honestly I did not download the latest sourcecode in Github, after I found out that it was not keeping up with the Windows builds and I think I might have been on a wrong chain. I will try and see now.

do you have skype so we can have a more fluid conversation, then you can post what we find here? I am not avoiding anything and i keep telling you lets do one thing at a time. why do you insist on doing a lot of things at the same time?  I made us start from the beggining with reason, that way, we can make sure nothing slips by us. trying to do every thing at once will lead to miscalculations and maybe we'll completely miss some importnat stuff.

EVERYONE STOP! For now please don't run your wallets. I'm sorry to say i am resetting the chain to block 0.

The grant database is causing crashes because of the reduced amount clashing with those still adamantly using the very first wallet i released. Also there seems to be an issue with transactions that i am trying to deal with now.

So we are going to start from the beginning. There will be no more major changes for a while, and i will lay out the changes here later.

The new client starting afresh, (i promise this wont happen again) will be available within the hour. All genesis balances are preserved.

I don't use skype because of it being not open source. Also I don't see why I should skype, I do not need to debate about it to change the conditions. You can make a Google spreadsheet if you want with the accounting and give the whole GF holders group access to it. You can upload needed documents lke receipts to Google drive. Simple and effective.
The accounting question has been questioned here for around 3 months. So you have had 3 months to prepare these things. The amount still open and unaccounted for is 23 BTC. The Group will take a look and let you know if they see anything they have questions about.

Lol, I asked you the first time alpha came out if the mining would be permanent or could be deleted (reset blockchain). You did not answer the 3 times I asked. I guess people were thinking this would be permanent!
And now on your own you decide to throw away all the mining power people have put in, because your programming sucks.
What if NRS 2.0 would have been on the exchanges already?

Shall i quit and stop completely since i am so incompetent? I remember telling people that this is alpha code , which means it's got issues, and i tried to maintain their balances, but now we've reached a point where it just cant be.

So from now on you take over, since i am clearly not good enough a coder for your tastes.

I have problems with your actions, which don't show your competence. So if you are competent, then show us. I won't be too proud to applaud you if you show me being wrong.
I am not a coder. But I can read code to a certain extent and I have people available that can read the bits I can't.

I'm working on it. Maybe two or three hours.

I have fixed the GUI for voting as well.

Only small issues remaining.

Since you can read code to an extent...how many coins have this many moving parts outside of the basic bitcoin code?

Let's see there's PoS, Lotto, Voting , Encrypted Messaging and the Receipting functions,  Dynamic loading/unloading of wallets, two RNGs and a one of a kind PoW algorithm that is entwined with one of the RNGs.

If you want finished off-the-shelf software, wait until bitcoin goes from versions 0.9.*** to version 1.0.

I am dealing with all this code while also answering your questions, and doing research to try and  get an equitable accounting, how about giving me a sip of that super juice, because to maintain all that is just not possible let alone with me at my day job.
