I could definitely get used to this...the new S7 should ship Monday, so another little bit for the stew... do kindly update us on the "performance" of the B16 S7 . . . more powah to the pool. I will do that. I'm working on some low-cost cooling/noise mitigation logistics that may be of interest to "mini" miners who can't stuff their hardware in the garage (because they don't have a garage)...I'll post it on a more appropriate thread, though. Yeah...it was nice to wake up to blocks. I'm making enough now that the third (and last...it will max out my power) S7 will likely be paid for by BTC from current production. That's for 1 May. The plan is to be at full capacity before the halving, as that will provide me with a decent base for future projection/planning. The info I glean here, and the new acquaintances/relationships generated, from the board is invaluable.

To infinity and beyond...on two 741s and one of only 3...nope, make that 4...full nodes in Hawaii...on <30A. (I have other gear on the Hoth ice planet)

Hi all, I thought I'd just say hello I started mining a week ago with a new S7. Tried a day on AntPool then started reading this forum and came across this pool. I've been mining with Kano the last few days and I'm very happy with the rewards after my N Hashrate stabilized. On the hardware side, I got caught by customs and they ripped me off so there's no way I will achieve ROI with this S7. I live in an apartment building and luckily enough have managed to have Internet in my basement cellar using a PLC adapter (I live on the 6th floor!!) so no annoyances whatsoever from the machine. Also, incredibly good ping and bandwidth, so very pleased with this PLC adapter. I'm doing this more as a hobby but some future plans are: * Get a second unit, this time second hand probably * investigate about mounting some S7's into a U4 rack case and take them to a hosting place * Join some friends to the project and look for a dedicated space to put some machines I always keep an eye on this thread so I will probably come back with more questions. Pleasure to share the adventure with you! Cheers

Would not mind to see the rules changed to track the highest share of a solved block for the month, hehe. Mine was a 8.56T
I thought the same thing when I hit a 3.98T share but there was a 13 or 14T share a page or two back.

Pleasure to share the adventure with you! Cheers Welcome to the Kano CKPool! We are a crazy bunch at times but the more, the merrier! You've made a good choice by pointing your machine here. You will not find any better pool operators than kano and -ck (ckolivas), the developers of the CKPool software and the two main developers of cgminer which runs on practically every piece of hardware out there. These guys have a special operation going here.

well i was not aware that there is a new kano S5 firmware Latest official Firmware from Bitmain is SD-S5-20150715.tar but with Cgminer 4.8.0 and a lot of hardware errors on the S5`s, but the 4.9.0 reduces the errors in general on the S5. I know that Cgminer 4.9.1c and 4.9.2 are S5 ready, but I cant seem to find them anywhere.

Those 2 firmwares are not official firmwares for the S5`s. I need the unofficial build of S5 firmware, if any one got them ?

log in ssh (root/admin) cd /usr/bin mv cgminer cgminer.bak wget http://ck.kolivas.org/apps/cgminer/antminer/s5/4.9.0-150105/cgminer chmod +x cgminer /etc/init.d/cgminer.sh restart note this is not persistent and will revert to 4.8.0 (or whatever the S5 FW has) after a power outage
