I thought I'd toss out a positive note:

I have now collected 1399 shifts of data for my rental tracking and the rewards/shift distribution still looks about the same:

# Rewards | Count | %
0   11   1%
1   23   2%
2   56   4%
3   106   8%
4   226   16%
5   278   20%
6   236   17%
7   178   13%
8   118   8%
9   58   4%
10   45   3%
11   29   2%
12   19   1%
13   10   1%
14   6   0%

69.84% of shifts are rewarded 5+ times
49.96% of shifts are rewarded 6+ times

Not exactly pool-related, but has anyone else noticed (and I'm sure they have) spot going to almost US$450 in the past couple of days? Wonder if that is going to be symptomatic of the ramp-up to halving...and whether it's going to end up being a spike.

To infinity and beyond...on two 741s and one of only 3...nope, make that 4...full nodes in Hawaii...on <30A. (I have other gear on the Hoth ice planet)

Good call Crispyato, I use the main URL for NH, WH, and my rigs as well.  I was using the DE node for NH but it gets a bit strange every once in a while.

I've been wondering about this as well.  At present I'm using DE for my NH rentals and the main URL for my WH rentals.

A few times I've lost built up positions in the rental queue when DE goes down (which in turn causes a cost increase of ~3% to rent at a higher price for a bit when it comes back) and I've seen invalids in the 0.4% to 0.5% range from my NH rentals from time to time (but that might just be a coincidence of when I looked at the workers page).  I've been wondering if I should just start using the main pool address for both.

Hot damn does that put me in the running for the avalon?

I had put in a smaller rental a few hours ago and it ran out.  I almost didn't run another rental but I figured what the heck...

Yeah I just checked the list and saw that myself.  e46btc is only 27 Th so that one is still the longest by a small miner. Ah well at least I got us off that long one.

Amen to that!  It's always satisfying to hit a block here on kano, especially when it puts the skids on one of the long ones  Cheesy

You said one gigabit connection for that proxy?
Maybe a 100 megabit would work?

Quick question, how long does it take to submit a share that solves a difficult block here or any block for that matter?

I'm asking because I have my miners auto restart every 12 hours, due to my custom configuration (Auto downclocks during the day, due to hot weather, then it restart and auto clocks to normal speed during the night, due to cooler weather and not have to worry about heat issues building up in my garage).

Would submitting a share that solves a block ever take longer then 12 hours?

I'm just curious if rebooting my RPI every 12 hours would prevent the miners from solving a possible block here... Please chime in. Thanks all...

Block by LoneRangir with 9.4THs!  He gets on the Acclaim Board with his first kano block!  Good job by a smaller miner!

I know it's been a few days, but I can't believe I finally found one for the pool!  My first in a year of doing this at Kano/CKPoool.

Sorry, just catching up on the posts....

That's like saying - OK msdos will work, when you could have 64bit linux Tongue
Well it's not that bad, but the point being, don't use old tech unless you have no choice.
