Block solvers do not get an extra reward. My math is crap but if you run 80TH you should be on top of this already PPLNS here is based on 5N - so it averages your performance over a longer period than "n" i.e. about 2 days previous to hitting a block. Your rewards - all depend on the luck of the pool.Pool has good luck - you earn more. Pool has bad luck - you earn less. As an example (and assuming you have been mining at 80TH for 2 days previous) these are some guesstimates of your daily earnings (based on my actual earnings here). Yesterday at 80TH - you would have earned about 0.512 BTC (8 blocks) The day before at 80TH - you would have earned 0.192 BTC (3 blocks) On average - if the pool has 100% luck you might earn approx 0.256 BTC +/- (based on a particular point in time yesterday - 4 blocks - but as hash keeps increasing lately on the pool your per block payout decreases but the number of blocks SHOULD increase - my math falls apart at this point) The luck here seems to usually be over 100% - so you might hope for slightly better. A clear comparison with F (something) Pool (PPS at 4% fee) which currently pays 0.00248538 BTC/TH - you would earn 80 x 0.00248538 = 0.199 BTC approx if they actually paid out to this figure. Hope that helps - cheers - usukan So how do i find out how much btc i make daily on pplns with around 80-90 TH? do block solvers get xtra reward? and how do the payments get redistribusted?
this is so confusing the pplns?
any help would be appreciated
Thank you very much usukan, after a couple of days mining it started getting clear to me.

... and to say a little more of my post above that got interrupted by a block Making them lose a bit more wont really make a difference to anyone withholding. Paying everyone fairly is way more important. ... in my book 'fairly' means based on your work done vs the rest of the pool. I expend effort and time to track miner problems, and in my opinion that is what's best. -- The real issue is actually chickens. I ate chicken for dinner just before we found that last block. More chicken sacrifices required -- Edit: oh and I know who the new top miner is, so as I guessed before, it is all hardware and no they wont ever be withholding. HAHAHA seems like the VooDoo code it´s working... more sacrifices !!!!

I got my S7 power supply delivered on friday and I'm now waiting for the S7. It ha been delayed because DHL had no clue what a "bitcoin miner" is. (as if they couldn't Google it...) It took a few email exchange (and a tax payment) to get it cleared out of customs.
Expecting it tomorrow now... 3 days lost...
So received and connected my shiny S7 to the DK node, DE as 1st failback, main as 3rd failback. (from France) maybe I'll be lucky and hit one with this (loud) baby. 4xS3+ and 4xS5 turned off untill I find a suitable hosting place for them (got a 2keuros raise on my annual power bill, and kWh price has increase over 30%)

If it's one of the shiny new B16 S7s, yeah it's loud. REAL loud. I had to encase my two little banshees in a styrofoam wind tunnel to get the noise to something bearable, since I have no separate room for them (living room). Was up at 0200 our time to check on a data recovery and saw the blocks coming...woo hoo! I can deal with that...

To infinity and beyond...on two 741s and one of only 3...nope, make that 4...full nodes in Hawaii...on <30A. (I have other gear on the Hoth ice planet)

Well that didn't last long now did it DK node is currently dead and I'm trying to get to the web site to find out what's wrong ... Anyone connected to it will have failed over. Problems started about 50 mins ago but it's been non-responsive for about 15min.

Antpoo just stole block 412203 from its miners. Outer space baby. Blockchain says they mined it but it does not show on their statistics page. Pretty damn shady.

Wow, that'd be really chump if true. That block is also extra fat and juicy; I saw it was worth over 28 BTC on Blocktrail...

Problems started about 50 mins ago but it's been non-responsive for about 15min. Well it was all back up and working a few minutes after I posted that, and yes it was a network problem, not a server problem. Their status page showed they did indeed know about it (though I was unable to get to the status page until the problem was resolved ...) So I guess we can make a vague assumption that it was just coincidental that it happened on the first day I had it up and running and they do know what they are doing since the status page was not a vague "we're not sure what's going on" comment (unlike linode who I find I am usually telling them about a network problem and they usually reply: "we can't see it" ... "it's all ok now" ...)

A while back, one of y'all had a recommendation re a colocating/hosting company, I think it was in WA state. I'm now having to look at perhaps doing that for some of my "spare" hardware. Please PM me if you have any info. Mahalo...

I've put the thread title back to 35PH coz it's stayed that or above for a while again. ... and I've added another node, a JP node again as we had before, except I don't expect this new provider to switch it off like the previous one did. So, for remote nodes you can mine to any of DE, SG, DK and JP All the same settings as each other for mining, just different first 2 letters e.g. de.kano.is sg.kano.is dk.kano.is jp.kano.is Like the DK node, the JP is a trial of yet another provider to see how they go. Of course, it is most advisable to have the main node stratum.kano.is as a backup after any remote nodes you have. - and of course there's the CN node, but you can't mine to that one, it's job is getting blocks in and out of China faster. Edit: block!

I think the CN node is working.... there seems to be a balance in the universe... whenever we get into that long red blocks... the pool gets back on her feet a bit quicker than normal.... just my humble opinion
