on a related note - ckpoolmonitor.zachmonroe.com not properly connected anymore to pool and no block emails - has zach gone holidays? Zach knows. I e-mailed him a bit ago. He's at work and will get to it.

kano.is (US) works best of all nodes from SW Pacific Ocean - cable must go direct to US. Note average ping from here is 157 - so still not great but works OK. Asia and Europe all far worse for me (was expecting SG to be better but its 230) I expect its related to how my carrier gets the cheapest deal. how can I know the list of servers? I think something inside US will be better for me! thank you!
https://www.kano.is/index.phpMain server will work fine for US. Someone will correct me if I'm wrong. I am doing AVG: 169.356ms on 10 packets. I am located in South America, so try all servers will be good for me. I think over 100ms is wrong, right? Thank you for your fast response... but I only see there kano.is I am using: stratum+tcp://stratum.kano.is:3333 But I am on East Coast North America. You can see the main server address's and ports on the link I posted (main page). Edit: I think the main server is in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA

SG node was 'network dead' there for 16 minutes from 22:05 UTC to 22:21 All miners will have failed over to their backups. All are back mining on the SG node again: user count and worker count is back to what it was before it happened.
Edit: well the worker count is now 2 lower than when it happened - it went back up to the previous value then down 2. So anyone with bitmain hardware there may need to check if 2 workers/miners failed away and didn't return.

can't believe how bad my timing was to test out rentals. Started just over a day ago - rented @ 0.0024-0.0025 so far - because of all these blocks its made a 45% return on what I spent on rented hash...(got 145% back) hardly a good test at all (HAHA) Now price is too high for further testing - so I will just wait it out. The crazy renters are back on WH renting multiple PH raising the prices..... Grrrrrrrr. Damnit.
I hate to kill my rental but I'm not price-chasing. It was running for the past two days at .0026 without problems. %#$###@@(*^&@
Edit: I shall take this opportunity to lower my bid price even lower. It will come back after their BTC's are burned up.

I've added another node in EU - this one's in France fr.kano.is ...
Thank you for continuous effort @ European node. This one has good ping: 55ms vs 62ms at DE and 81ms at DK - measured in average broadband from south of UK Speedy broadband gets 20ms at FR and DE

Same here. I got lucky and got in before all of these blocks were found. The rental had about a day and a half remaining. I'll wait till the price drops and my order is picked up again @ .0024 or so.

Sigh, another network issue there for almost a minute. The main mining node of the pool seemed to get hit by a large amount of data for a minute. It resulted in a lot of disconnects and reconnects. I guess it might have been some sort of DDoS and the DDoS protection cut in and resolved it. Numbers are back close to what they were just before it happened. It occurred at 23:02 UTC

The past couple of days have been pretty good - price-wise. Had everything at 0.0025 (or below). Perfect timing as this is the "steadiest" my rental 5ND has been in quite some time. Been renting through the recent reddish patch, so today's block party brought me back up to break-even, and a tiny bit of profit. With that, I feel ok letting the rentals go idle - no need to play the game and chase the price up to something that'll just be unprofitable.

Yes, my shift graph was looking pretty good and on an upward trajectory for a couple days! Then POOF, straight down. LOL Edit: Someone with deeper pockets than mine has a fixed order in for 3PH @ .0038. ( They now are fixed at 5ph @ .0042. Can that even be profitable? May be for some people..... smh

I too have been enjoying the 0.0024 rates. 0.0029 is as high as my bot will chase the price right now, so except for my own 12TH rig I'm out at the moment. Today's blocks bring me to a 4% loss since starting up the rental bot. I keep hoping to reach a small gain before June, but it isn't looking likely.

Which DC did you settle on? I decided on CryptoBoreas. Toomim and Oregon looked good as well, but the power cost factor is significantly less with the Canadian folks, and our comms so far have been solid. I should have these boxes out by tomorrow PM. This will (1) give me my flat back, and (2) allow for expansion. Your input and that of the others (I got a fair amt) was really helpful. Thank you.
