Anyone buying Bitmain's crap since the S7 fiasco fits the definition of Insane perfectly : Albert Einstein quoted : "The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again, but expecting different results”.
more along the lines of cognitive dissonance. http://www.simplypsychology.org/cognitive-dissonance.html it can be applied to the rational i see on these forums day n day out. lucky for me i wasnt in on the s5/s7 fiasco of loose sinks and burnt boards.. but so far (knock on wood my s9 still work).. Ive downclocked them to be certain they dont cook themselves.. Ill test my luck when winter sets in. But i agree after my treatment from bitmain warranty and the disrespect bitmain has for its customers these s9 will be the last things i buy from them. Honesly btc for us little guys is dead and we will save our selves a lot of headaches by just accepting the fact its over. Move to gpu or just buy and hold coins. BEst Regards d57heinz

my 3 S9 get dead on pool status i traveled to antpool until it fixed
All of Juvia's minions are S9s and mining at Mt. Kano without problems, and getting blocks. I think your dead connections to the pool maybe account related... could be the gear one of my 5 s9's is down will check on it today The controller is dead and it is a june 14th miner so it is out of warranty. Sooo very tired of these miners.

Labrador appears to be down?
Looks like Labs is back online -- is this anything to do with the Europe's comm downtime recently?

Looks like Labs is back online -- is this anything to do with the Europe's comm downtime recently? NL seems to be a bit flimsy these last few days from my view. My miner has failed over to the FR node several times and once to the stratum.kano.is node as well.

Looks like Labs is back online -- is this anything to do with the Europe's comm downtime recently? I kinda doubt it. It wasn't a long outage...just a few minutes. Could be Hydro was doing some switching, etc. No worries. I'm more upset that my 3-yr old K800 keyboard just crapped out...I'm having to use this flexible roll-up KB that I keep for my Armor X7 tablet. Fat-finger city.

Im so sick and tired of these S9 miners. Yet another center board is dead on Batch 1 S9. This is the 4th board that dies. Miners are all reporting 50° celcius and hashing at stock clock.....not whole truth, some cant hash at stock clock and has been down clocked to 600Mhz.
Im so freaking tired of these S9´s. The data center is also talking about rising service price on all S9`s since they demand way more service than regularly. Where the f.... are the Avalons :-)

At this point, I'm glad I didn't buy any S9s. If nothing happens by 1 Oct I'll likely be getting more A6s.

[/quote] no this mofo is a repeat offender. it is the one I got in august mined for 10 hours and killed a board. replacement came mine for 10 days and killed the controller. Up that f'ing ladder into the loft of the array again. Took home two units that were bad back in august since one was a repeat offender and the other was opened and out of warranty. one mined as philipma1957.1 the other as philipma1957.one the new unit's boards are all good the controller is dead. so I went to buy a controller from bitmainwarranty in Colorado and f you sold out. I am sick and tired of the support they don't give (pun intended). I have four boards on one controller getting 14th with that should be doing 23th

How long have they been mining without significant interruption? If a machine has been disconnected for a period of time, your rate at the pool will not get back up to par for a while.

And again it happens exactly at the same time in the middle of the night... And again my provider's support says will be fixed within an hour. Just curious - is NL node allright ATM and 20 minutes back? Tracking coincidences. UPD: seems fixed. BTW, last network block was 35 mins ago when I disconnected. This way all conspiracy theories are born

For all Avalon-minded here. There is definitely smth moving on and the project a7 is not dead. HagssFIN analysed parts of the code from GitHub meant for Avalon7. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1502116.msg16303099#msg16303099

Even the wolves have nothing for sale right now. Come on Avalon so we add to Kano.is!
I know...I noticed S9s seemed to be pau (Hawaiian for all done) a while back. From my personal, admittedly sometimes nimrod, view there is one (and more, I'm sure, but this one I prefer to hold) set of reasons for nothing being heard, and no S9s being built. If the rumors of an "A7" are founded in something, then it is probably in a performance/power/cost range that would put it hands down over the S9. If I were building S9s, I'd hold off on new batches if I had reason to believe I really needed an S10 instead...I'd be putting my resources into that S10. Anyway...assuming the rumors are not rumors...I think we'll know with certainty one way or the other by 1 Oct. Dunno why that date particularly, but it seems about as long as a company might be able to reasonably keep a secret like that...if it's a true thing. not sure if the avalon 7 will be a better miner, but the s-9 chip is not durable. The death rate is very high on the hashboards. This has to be causing them a lot of problems on many levels. Even though USA based bitmainwarranty.com now offers an s9 with 3 ,9 or 12 month warranties and will allow for paypal I am waiting to decide if I want more. With no info on A7 in sight and S9 boards failing without repair capability from Bitmain themselves... I have gone to Plan B to collect more BTCs, as a temporary solution. Sad reality this, in my humble opinion.... Would you tell more about plan B ? maybe in private
