Since no one already mentioned it yesterday. Note the last diff change (yesterday) was only 0.395% So is there a limit to how many workers you can have on Kano per 1 account? I only ask because am at 83 and now anything past that I am getting a connection refused. I am working with S9's and have tried several other trouble shooting techniques before coming to this forum, but the next 5 units all have been refused by your pool but I can connect to others. Very frustrating as I have a lot more that I am planning to move to this pool. Can you offer any help. Thanks Blockmines You got a space on the front of the username on some of your miners. You'll have to remove that So the 5 that I am having problems with is because of a space? happened to me once. it happens when you copy the address and mistakenly include an additional empty row; when you paste it in, it manifests itself as a space before the address; caused my miner to drop to secondary for a couple of days before I noticed. Well I will give it a shot when I get to the office tomorrow. I hope that is all it was. Thanks for your help!! So next, with so many miners what is the easiest way to control them all at once? Finally what is the general consensus here for a backup mining pool to Kano? (I won't mine out of China, there is too much hashing power over there already) Thanks for your help!!

@blockchainmines: Welcome! I enjoyed your videos on you tube (we chatted about a year ago). Very nice setup you have. You will be very happy mining here at Kano CKPool. Best place to be, hands down!

It's too bad that nextdifficulty.com seems to be frequently stuck (like it is now). I've found it to be more useful for indicating the trend during a difficulty cycle.

I'm sure they will, they are from Canaan.
I wonder if they are going to offer some to Kano for another miner give-away.

Well...not exactly what we expected, or what many of us were contemplating...but actually I'm a happy camper with it. Here's why...compared to the A6, almost double the hash on 78% of the power is the first one. I can double my home production and still use my microwave (long story...most of you know it already). Second reason...although the one A6 I have cooked, Canaan took care of it promptly and civilly. In the meantime, since they did not want the failed unit back, I dismantled it to take a tiptoe through the tulips. Having torn down innumerable S2s, S3s, and S7s, I'm VERY impressed with the design and build quality on the A6 (how many insides of a BM product have you examined and NOT found bits of solder paste here and there, or cold solder joints? This inside was pristine. Whatever shorted was an internal component and not a bad connection), and this ROQ unit is obviously right up the same alley. Third...I'm still liking the RPi controller arrangement, although I'm moving to a separate controller for each unit rather than chaining (more control). I haven't talked with Labrador yet (I'm sure of a couple of you are already on the horn), but I'm also pretty sure they're going to like this one. So...on the whole... Yippee-hoo!

To infinity and beyond...on two 741s and one of only 3...nope, make that 4...full nodes in Hawaii...on <30A. (I have other gear on the Hoth ice planet)

I did some simple math with the bitcoinwisdom calculator.
3% diff increase 1% pool fees. Current BTC Price
0,06 USD => NO ROI 0,03 USD => 452 days 0,02 USD => 369 days
Gonna pass for now

You think that's good, or bad? I'm running numbers now. I can't see where it could be bad at this point. It's exactly what was needed, IMHO. It's good for all venues.

You think that's good, or bad? To be honest, I was hoping for a bit better efficiency from the 16nm chips. Having written that, a sub-1000W miner that runs on a standard PSU is certainly a nice boost for the hobbyist. The open source software, and the fact that they run mainline cgminer is absolutely fantastic. I don't want to hijack kano's pool thread with this conversation. There is a thread in Mining Speculation where there's an ongoing discussion about it. Back to your regularly scheduled mining discussions

I did the same calculation. Over 300 days for free power. I can't justify this either. Too bad. I was really looking for better competition for the S9. Maybe at least it will pressure BitMain to deliver a higher quality product, but I doubt it.

I wonder if you could upgrade just the board from our A6 ... skipping Fans, Case, Controller ... Would be quite nice because the form factor looks the same. I'm dreaming here ! Hoping to finally buy the new gen miners to point them here
