I am here to just say one thing? Why do YOU hate people? and you should really give a valid reason not a shitty one that says 'Because Jews, Because Christians, Because Atheists'
and Yes, I am a people's person for those who ask, just tell me, come out of your shell and say why you HATE people like myself, and I could be here to clarify things to you, or not...
Also here is something that most muslims mistake about people's person like me is that "Christianity or Buddhism hate other religions" for this I say, Christianity or Buddhism does not hate ANY religion, but they suggest to 'invite' them to Christianity or Buddhism or Judaism, as slowly, and peacefully, even if they refuse, you can try and try, until it's their choice, you stop. and for all the wars that happened, it's because this other religion decided to come into war on Christianity or Buddhism or Judaism.

Southfield police have arrested a 39-year-old man who allegedly stabbed two other men multiple times at a bus stop near Northland Mall in Southfield Saturday night.

Terrence Lavaron Thomas, of Detroit, will be arraigned on charges of two counts of assault with intent to murder, one count of carrying a dangerous weapon with unlawful intent and one count of possession of marijuana.

Thomas’s bail was set at $1 million cash or surety bond.

According to police, Thomas attacked the victims, a 52-year-old man and 51-year-old man from Detroit, after he “made several comments about his religion and asked the victims about their religious beliefs just before the assault occurred.”

I realize a lot of people in the Middle East are fed propaganda like that by their government and media.  But I do not think these conspiracy theories have merit considering the truly vast number of incidents across widely varying countries, continents and cultures.

The Vietnam war was fought by the US for 18 years and 58,000 servicemen died.  That's 3,200 per year. 

Muslim violence is killing that many per month.  3998 dead in January 2015 alone.

You can't shrug these kinds of numbers off.

Because American media have gone the other direction and don't seem to be calling terrorists, terrorists.

They never called the guy at Fort Hood who shot up 30+ people shouting Allah Akbar a terrorist (even though he had links to known terrorists), they called it an "incident of workplace violence."

They rightly deserve that Purple Heart. They are Heroes and faced and survived an enemy.
Great job by our leaders to approve this decision. Our military men and women face enough hardships and deserve to be recognized for the horrible act committed against.

I may have misunderstood. I admit, I do make mistakes (as my wife reminds me, often).
I thought they were only eligible for the Purple Heart because their injuries were the result of an enemy combatant? Leading me to assume the President finally accepted this was an act of war.
Am I wrong? If so, I do apologize for my misunderstanding. My main point was that I am happy that our brave military members are receiving recognition for their injuries at the hands of a terrorist.

Amen. I know a lot of Muslims who absolutely hate DASCH. I was in Jordan when they got the pilot and I assure you, there is very little support there. They do not consider DASCH to be Muslims, but rather as cultists.

I don't have the time right now to look up the rules, but I strongly suspect that the Army leadership can by itself designate who gets the Purple Heart, and did so to right the wrongs here.  The "wrongs" were the decision by the White House to not call this an act of terrorism, or an act of war.  This I believe caused the surviving family members to not be eligible for benefits for the soldiers killed in war or terrorism.  In turn this was a political decision.

Yes I feel the same.

There is an issue which troubles me a bit, here is what it is.  We see often atheists and liberals arguing and insulting fundamentalist Christians, often from a position of ignorance.  This is done based on correct facts, however the Christian finds not that his religion has been insulted but his culture.  Or the town he lives in, or his friends.  He does not see it as a strict fact base argument against particular sentences in a religious book.

I don't think anyone here seeks to insult the greater context of the culture in which people live, whether it is Islamic or Christian or secular.  

However when a question is posed such as "nothing to do with Islam, again "extremists" all I can do is go to the data, and noting that it seems a full blown war is in progress, comment on that as it does seem something far in excess of a "few extremists."

How this may be reconciled with the certainty that I do not seek to insult the Islamic religion or it's adherents is of course a bit of a quandary, but there it is.

Side note - I am watching the remastered blu ray Lawence of Arabia tonight.  An amazing movie.
