Either way, I doubt its on purpose. It should be brought up to the MPOS devs who made the pool software.
MPOS-Dev isn't linked with reduction of % of the block in any way. It was made by the owner of a pool realized to attract more miners! Several months ago I wrote the owner of a pool of pool .verters.com that they have too big percent of the block - more than 250% and I asked that they opened shares statistics. Such overestimated % of the block could be because the owner could finish to himself shares and it to overestimate the speed of the workers! After that at them sharply the % decreased twice. For an example compare this statistics https://aikapool.com/limx/index.php?page=statistics&action=blocks

I personally don't use either pool, but I agree with Wolf that it does sound that way.

Verters registers double of your actual hashrate on the pool, so it makes somewhat sense to divide the round-luck-percentage by two in the end. It would have been nice to clarify that to AikaPool instead of just attacking him

Hi, miners!
*FUD*
The probability shown is more closer to the actual than with the original calculations, dividing it by two to get the percentage seems to work out better. The point being here though is that all blocks are shared correctly and all miners are calculated on the same basis. Just because your pool has no activity, and you have done absolutely nothing to support vertcoin other than fud about my pool here - no wonder people don't want to hash with you. Start doing constructive and useful things for the community instead.

It would have been nice to clarify that to AikaPool instead of just attacking him Every so often he makes the same old thread again. And yea, I could probably do with resetting all the data - but the monumental effort then to ensure all of the accounts remain the same, I just don't have the free time to do that. People find blocks, people get paid. If anyone is having any issues who actually hashes at my pool, let me know and (as ever) I'm always happy to help out. People attacking people however is only negative for the community.

Owners pools deceive people! This is really bad! I wrote it for those who can count, and not the owner of the pool Verters. Community pool, let them decide. Here is an example of statistics from my pool, and all calculations are correct! By the way, I did not understand exactly what you have done better on my pool? You have MPOS and use it. I made a lot of improvements, the overall balance of the window, the general registration and more. My pool is the only one on which there is a general balance. "Suchpool" year already promises to make the overall balance. The statistics of my pool became worse when the algorithm was changed to Lyra2REv2. It it is calculated truly! I don't change statistics for involvement of miners!

Here statistics with pool.verters.com especially for those who isn't able to use the calculator! ... verters pool is configured bad, or missed the codefix for lyra2rev2. i dont know (i have just tips) Here is the explain: i searched a block with (almost) same difficulty (397-399): This is from your pool (398.5 diff -> 102022 expected shares): This is from verters pool (398.21 diff -> 50971 expected shares): Yes this is wrong calculated. this is the last hour stats from verters pool (397.74 diff -> 101824 expected shares): If you compare the diff here with your pool, this expected shares looks good. So, bad news for you: "Block Overview" stats is good on verters, "Last 20 Blocks Found" stats is bad. and bigger bad news for you, that last block stats bad for "wrong side": 398 diff required ~102k excepted shares, the block has 144k shared, so the block luck is 141%, not 283%. I help you to understand this: they show worse block lucky, than the really block lucy on pool

And if you look back some posts, you'll see that I said exactly the same thing. No need for all those big pictures, bad words, wrong calculations, etc. Now, back to mining and trading...

I studied MPOS very well! And well I understand that you simply try to finish to me false information as the truth! Let it remains on your conscience! I in some minutes can make statistics as at verters! I will have a % of the block (all time) - 68,52%
If someone knows the sites of other pools for VTC mining, I ask write to me, please.

I have a very old version of MPOS, with my own custom Bootstrap theme that I made before MPOS got one - with that and quite a few performance optimizations for the stratum (changes to the DB structure / layouts / some queries), its quite difficulty just to update it, so I only patch it for security issues as they come up - meaning that the calculations may not display the correct numbers as you and others have pointed out. Quite aside from that, I'm not sure what you're accusing me of? Check the blockchain if you want to see which blocks we find - you will see every block we found is accounted for, and for those blocks - every miner is attributed their fair share. Now, you ask what I have done - you can ask the core Vertcoin devs about that if you want. Going back to early 2014 just after launch, I created the first crypto currency calculator for vertcoin, created a forum (thisisvtc.com - which sadly is mostly dormant) - created and maintain the Only patched and valid version of the Vertpunk wallet on wallet.thisisvtc.com, maintain the insight vertcoin blockchain, again patched and updated. I created the initial codebase from which jk_14 made some modifications for any merge mined coins on the new architecture, and support the vertcoin developers and the community for about 20 months now. Tried to spur on an initiative last year for a VTC community run group, which sadly fell through in the end, and probably a tonne of other things I've likely forgotten now. What have you done?

Well, there is this one multicoin site called Aikapool which seems to be having Appaulingly unnatural 4 week luck: 251.59% Last 7 days it was 299.47% Last 24 hours it was 205.74% What is going on there? No way can that be accurate.

hi , i'm trying to compile an OSX qt but have hit an error. i've tried qt creator 5.2.1 5.3.2 and 5.5.0 the deps in the vertcoin-qt.pro say boost 1.52 i've tried 1.54 and 1.55 macports was playing silly buggers else i would've tried 1.52 as well, but apparently 0.8.6.2 updated code to 1.55 so i figure it's probalby not boost ? my error is a tad excessive http://pastebin.com/PASA0H4pbut here's the tail end .... std::_Rb_tree<std::string, std::string, std::_Identity<std::string>, std::less<std::string>, std::allocator<std::string> >::_M_insert_unique(std::string const&) in libleveldb.a(env_posix.o) std::_Rb_tree<std::string, std::pair<std::string const, leveldb::(anonymous namespace)::FileState*>, std::_Select1st<std::pair<std::string const, leveldb::(anonymous namespace)::FileState*> >, std::less<std::string>, std::allocator<std::pair<std::string const, leveldb::(anonymous namespace)::FileState*> > >::_M_insert(std::_Rb_tree_node_base*, std::_Rb_tree_node_base*, std::pair<std::string const, leveldb::(anonymous namespace)::FileState*> const&) in libmemenv.a(memenv.o) ld: symbol(s) not found for architecture x86_64

Why is it using leveldb to compile? Shouldn't you be using berkeley db for bitcoin-esque coins, particularly bdb 4.8, and if you're using another version you have to configure using --with-incompatible-bdb flag?

Why is it using leveldb to compile? Shouldn't you be using berkeley db for bitcoin-esque coins, particularly bdb 4.8, and if you're using another version you have to configure using --with-incompatible-bdb flag? Because leveldb is part of the sources. To answer the original question, it looks like QT Creator isn't compiling leveldb for you, so it's probably easiest to pop open your terminal, navigate to vertcoin/src/leveldb, and run a make all.
