For those complaining about the count down timer.   If it is off in your browser, it is most likely because your computer's time is off.   My computer was set 16 seconds slow from UTC.   When I adjusted it and refreshed the game page the countdown was in perfect sync.

I'm betting this isn't an issue on Linux unless you have disabled NTP or something like that.   Probably the same with the Mac since it is a twisted form of FreeBSD.   On Windows the time source is only sync'ed once every 7 days if you use the built in time and date control panel.  I'm not even sure if seconds get sync'ed since in AD one has to be off by a few minutes before there are problems.

I'm not going into details on how you set your clock.  There are probably 100's of web pages that cover that for windows if help is needed.

Anyway, there really isn't excuse for not being able to tell the time to the second, it just takes a small amount effort.    A good rule of thumb is don't check your computer time without checking it.

So, who are ready to jump on day#3 boat?

what do you think about the deposit volume? any guesses?

i might jump in but still afraid to be too late, deposits fly really fast.

I'm afraid I might lose my payment to the double spend bug!

how did that happen by the way? what bug?
It looks like some unconfirmed transactions maybe messed up the script.  The transactions were unconfirmed because some bozo sends transactions without fees.   If you are so cheap why would they play a game that can easily result in 100% loss?   Maybe they are doing it on purpose looking for weaknesses.

It has been discussed here recently. You can make a deposit with zero transfer fees and it will also be paid out to the next in line. Because it has no fees, it might take days, if ever, to confirm. Until then it could be double or triple spent. Needless to say these double spends will eventually not confim in the blockchain and the recipient will feel... well cheated.

Currently these no-fee payments are holding this game back...

why not just add some fees? 0.0001 BTC would be enough.

You can't add fees once the transaction has been sent.  At least I don't think you can.

last players of weekly round should receive a double payout so that payments or there should be some incentive to keep playing through the whole week (rather than just waiting for the next week)

That was my proposal too last week. The last one should get 200%, and the sum should be deposited from the early pay-ins.

When does the current round technically end? Shouldn't it be the second the next round begins? Shouldn't the "early bets" simply be considered as regular bets for the current ending round instead of being treated as donations?

What if some poor schmuck is next in line for a 1.95 BTC payout but needs someone to place a 0.01 BTC bet in order for there to be enough in the coffer to cover his payout (plus the fee for that 0.01 bet). As the game round is coming to a close, he decides that nobody's going to send in that final amount and sends it himself in order to free up that payout... and it arrives 7 seconds before the new round begins.

Is that going to be treated as an early bet for the next round and given to the house as a donation? Where's the cutoff?

Unfortunately Bitcoin has this issue with too long confirmation times, which is something really annoying in a game in which timing is crucial. Someone should consider creating a weeklyponzi in an altcoin with better confirmation times, like Doge or LTC.

i was also thinking of this. if its 24h why are last second deposits been kept as donations... them bitcoins are part of the game so people should be paid!"

When the game wasn't running this looks to have been the case.. Now it seems it will go to the previous day's activity.. Same thing happened with the weekly before it rolled over..

just push weekly to expire a few hours later. 2-3 hours perhaps. That'll fix it.

Move forward 2-3 hours it's a big problem for european people because will be in  middle of the night !

Move it 12 hours then.   No matter what time you use it is problem for some people.     Another option would be not to have a daily game on the day the weekly starts.

I think not having a 24 hour round on the day the weekly starts is a great idea. If both start at the same time the volume will be spread too thin between both games.

You may be interested in keep an eye to this ones too:

http://www.btcponzi.me/24h  --- 24h round starting son!
http://www.btcponzi.me/1h    --- 1h rounds! NEW one. Starting in a few hours too.

Seems a good idea to me to have a 1h rounds too, becouse all ponzis are alive just for a few minutes after starting!
I'll go in to see how it works Wink

There has been almost no volume since day 1. Invest on day 3? No sir not me, one look at the chart tells you how bad of an idea that is

this round is basically completely lost; the downtime didn't help at all. no one is investing any real amounts at all anymore and there are a lot of BTC in the queue.

personally I won't be investing in anything similar to this again, if I'd just exchanged into some other currency i'd at least always have something.

i don't understand the logic in having a week long game because evidently within a few hours of launch the game is pointless.
