There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, but full nodes are more resource-heavy, and they must do a lengthy initial syncing process. As a result, lightweight clients with somewhat less security are commonly used.
Advertised sites are not endorsed by the Bitcoin Forum. They may be unsafe, untrustworthy, or illegal in your jurisdiction.

Resend 10k (or more) VNL to your default wallet address in 1 transaction, then restart your wallet, unlock it and wait 15 minutes. I sent to the exchange and back.

your instincts are to simply attack anyone who doesn't agree with your community rather than try to listen to what they are saying. I never said VNL was the same in terms of tech. The issue is if a coin is allowed to die on the vine by a community too stubborn or arrogant or both to address concerns for a coin then it doesn't actually have a right to expect anyone to buy it.

Simple, get a peer review, show you don't need to hide. Cause if you don't soon you will look like you hiding. Communities make or break a coin, please tell me there is a sane person here that gets the coin needs to answer critics with a peer review and then we can move on.

It's open source, how could you hide anything? Also everything will come with time, currently this is a beta software with continuous development. Marketing/promotions will come when it's ready (DarkPP,etc.).

I can't say anything for QORA since I don't know it, but we are progressing steadily.

What would the community have against a peer review?

VNL IS claiming quite a significant jump in tech so get a peer review and be above reproach. VNL is still very undervalued and this is due I think to the ability of FUD to stick at the moment cause of this lack of review.

Block reward reduction 59?

No, Node Incentives came to live.
The node incentives system starts at block 210000.

You can read about at http://vanillacoin.net/wiki/Technologies/Node%20Incentives.md

it is a way of decentralizing (even more) an already decentralized systam, by didtributing the PoW rewards not only to the miners, but also to ppl who are running healthy nodes  Smiley

your wallet needs to be connectable and online for some time. the reason for it is a broader distribution

you keep your wallet online, and send 10.000 coins to your own wallet in a unique transaction, and unlock your wallet
Your will be rewarded by pow miners, because you are a node maintaining the network.
Its cool! Cheesy

You need to open the port that can be found in config.dat and have a stable uptime.

Try resending your collateral and restarting the wallet. I'll ask around on the cause of the problem.

i have success with this today, the steps i did was: sent 10.000 coins to my own addres, configured the port in config.dat to reach the machine running the wallet, closed wallet and opened again, and unlocked the wallet.

I identify errors. After the arrival of interest in the reward goes astray. When the share of wallet and takes a lot of balance becomes less than 9999.

Just a couple of notes

1. Make sure you send your collateral to your default wallet address - this is the address that appears in the rpc command "getincentiveinfo"
2. Make sure you are using the latest version of the wallet - see the website http://vanillacoin.net/wallets.php

If you are having issues drop onto IRC - there are plenty of people there who can help

https://kiwiirc.com/client/irc.freenode.net/#Vanillacoin

Or post on the Official Forum - https://talk.vanillacoin.net/

Posting issues here on BCT will only delay you getting a resolution to your problem and will feed the trolls and fudsters
