I see that the coin is now damaged by some of the hero members and I take that as part of the coin war.

VNL was damaged by the fact it contains unattributed code stolen from Bitcoin.

That makes your core dev a liar and a cheat.

Stop blaming the messengers for the message being delivered.

It's not our fault VNL's core dev is a code thief who, when caught red-handed, refused to do the honorable thing and confess/repent.

Stop blaming the messengers for the message being delivered.

Every time a block is mined, a certain amount of BTC (called the subsidy) is created out of thin air and given to the miner. The subsidy halves every four years and will reach 0 in about 130 years.

@iCEBREAKER

VNL's developer coded down far more single handedly than any of your XMR developers did, after 2 years XMR is still just a cryptonote fork with 0 innovation. I am way more confident in John is an actual developer (who is actually doing his job) than any of your devs.

Good luck getting adoption with that development pace and that toxic community, where core members spam different projects threads on a 0-24 basis.

VNL stole code from Bitcoin, according to gmaxwell, smooth, and most recently

Thanks for that.

Adding “#L34” to the vnl URI nails it for me:

Code:
{code}

That's a lot more than just a structural similarity.

It’s hard for me to see this as anything other than incontrovertible evidence of the author having a naively self-centred perspective on intellectual property rights, broadly translatable as “what’s yours is mine and what’s mine’s my own”.

More tellingly, it's also hard to reconcile this evident difficulty in critical thinking with any kind of work in the area of cryptography, notorious for its relentlessly stern demands of cognitive sophistication in its proponents.

Stand back a few yards and the picture becomes somewhat clearer. I've not even bothered looking at vnl, being confident that it’s just another variant of the “misunderstood but brilliant maverick outsider, wronged by a complacent community” media narrative and all the posturing is entirely consistent, even the expedient arrogation of others’ work. Given the evidence in the codebase, I'm reassured that my confidence is not misplaced, although I do have to admit that his choice of pseudonym is a bit of a give-away in and of itself.

Stop blaming the messengers for the message being delivered.

It's not our fault VNL's core dev is a code thief who, when caught red-handed, refused to do the honorable thing and confess/repent.

If your wallet is locked you will still get rewards if a super peer,
but you will not get PoS interest of 0.7%. For that wallet has
to be unlocked, which I see no reason not to be unless the
computer is in a public place.

I'd not unlock the wallet so lightly: a malware can easily steal all your VNL if the wallet is unlocked.
Better if you can unlock it for staking only: does the vnl wallet support it?

It's pointless to say anything to you because you are like stupid parrot which repeats things that don't understand.

You can only copy/paste and repeat things and by now we all know that...
So just stop with you idiotic role you play because such role can permanently reflect on your personality.

;-)

There are many places where Vanillacoin copied Bitcoin code. I have pointed out a good example previously, it won't be hard to find dozens more.

There's nothing wrong with copying and modifying the Bitcoin code, the MIT license allows you to do with it what you like, it just ask you not to be a scumbag and remove attribution and pretend you wrote the code in the first instance.

I urge everyone to report icebreakers posts, please indicate in the report that the person is spamming and re-pasting the exact same comments.

Please note that he feels bad that his supported fork has the same feature description as the base code after 2 years in the making.

No, it is not possible to unlock wallet for staking only. It was discussed before, but I cant find it now.
John-Connor said, that private keys must be in memory for staking.
So malware can steal your coins, even if
your wallet is unlocked for staking only. (As far, as I remember that corectly).
It is pointless to have such function in wallets, it is only false sense of security. (As far, as I understand this corectly).

And, if you have a malware in your pc, you will lost coins as soon as you type password for unlocking your wallet, whether is for
staking only, or not. Smiley

I think moderators are on their side because they just deleted my post while their spam is still on forum.
