Get John!

+1

Can't really find anyone more trusted than John

I don't trade without his escrow services. he currently charges 1.5% (peace of mind is priceless). He's worked through awkward deals with shares sent to wrong addresses for me, and helped tough group buys. John (John K.) all the way, and nobody else.

Once a transaction has 6 confirmations, it is extremely unlikely that an attacker without at least 50% of the network's computation power would be able to reverse it.

If you are trading AM shares you might as well use TAT, he charges a third of what John does and there is no way he'll screw anyone over considering the huge stake he has in AM now.

It depends on how many shares are you trading, since there's a .5 BTC lower bound.

Let's just say that TAT is much cheaper when transfering > 8 shares, and John when having < 8 shares Wink*

Both are very trustworthy guys, and considering it's a small part of the total amount it's 100% worth it using escrow!
(Or buy from other members with a good trust rating Wink - *Based on a share price of 4.2BTC/share)

I created a new temporary page for the dividend prediction:

Eventually I'll add the meter next to the wallet meter on the live page Smiley

Oh no!

Another reason to use passthroughs.

Doesn't this also logically mean there are people out there who think they have shares but do not? If the double selling is significant, it suggests the current price is undervalued.

Well lets not go as far as compare john with TAT. I have nothing personal against TAT but he is not even close to beeing "trustworthy", he has long way before he prove himself and as of now he is not doing good job with his childish posts and not so professional behavior.

I don't see anything like that in his posts. I'd encourage you to be more precise, give some sources to support your claim. If you just throw something like that out of nowhere, it's only yourself that you're undermining.

Monero's privacy and therefore fungibility are MUCH stronger than Bitcoin's.
This makes Monero a better candidate to deserve the term "digital cash".

Kind of makes him looks silly, but we all have brain farts from time to time when it comes to our behavior.  He is competitive, I'll give him that, and an intelligent individual.

New ASICMINER Weekly Write-Up!  This time instead of posting directly in the thread, I am writing and hosting it on a Google doc.  This way I can format things better, add a table of contents for older posts... all sorts of nice things.

If this helps you, please remember to donate!

https://docs.google.com/document/d/18ZQsYx0dYWV-mlO8szVAYKJfaVZMueH_crS0UMzBfbk/edit?usp=sharing
I would suggest using a more understandable date format, the "mm/dd/yyyy" is quite insane to anyone who is not used to it.
If you do not want to switch to "dd/mm/yyyy" that would be understandable, but there are alternatives, such as "yyyy/mm/dd", or at worst "mon dd yyyy" (i.e. the months in letters instead of numbers).

NO! '''yyyy/mm/dd''' is best!  It's perfectly logical order, it's vocabulary-sortable, it's ergonomical to read (you don't have to finish reading the whole line if you need to scan with only month or year precision), and it's ISO!

Except, there should be hyphens (-) or en-dashes (–) instead of slashes(/).  Please fix this and it will be perfect! Smiley

I prefer this.

Updated!  ASICMINER Weekly Write-Up

DiabloD3, it is a pleasure to have something I am doing help you out. At least 2 years ago you spent a good long time answering all my stupid questions about GPU mining and what to buy... the rig you helped me build back then over irc has made me a happy man!

Again, Now that I have the date format perfect... if anyone has any other suggestions on content, format, or anything keep them coming  I want this resource to be the best it can be!

The next thing I want to do, is create an "Introduction to ASICMINER" that covers the begging till when I started writing weekly updates, there is no way I am going back and writing updates for weeks already past.  If you have good resources for information on that end... let me know.  I plan to re-read the entirety of this thread for the project.. but I am sure there is good information to include that is not in this thread, or maybe happened before this thread started.

As in a week. Those chips are in hand and ready to ship. The lead time Avalon announced was 8-10 weeks and it is now week 9.

yeah, but chips don't mine by themselves.  they have to be put on boards, tested, etc.  The fact that they are just getting the chips means that these chips are a good 4-6 weeks away from being able to mine.  And that's if things go right.

I think this is a bit of an exaggeration, exacerbated by AMC shareholders that are angry at me for my skepticism in their investment.

John K certainly has more history than me, and I use his services from time to time as well. This isn't a competition of trust. In the context of this escrow topic, you must realize it would be absolutely insane for me to scam on a deal. My trust, reputation, and TATI brand are of utmost value to me.

Expect only more demonstration and delivery from me. I am here to help set standards, not to lower them. Keep an eye on people like Deprived and myself, as we're the kind of forces that will root out the weeds, making it harder for scammers and the irresponsible.

More to come!

It looks at AM's mining wallet and divides by 400K Smiley.

Please read the text beneath the donut. Wink

Currently mined since wednesday is ~1900 coins. That value is linear extrapolated until next wednesday. (blue part of the donut)
The current coins in the known USB/blade sale addresses are added to that. (red part of the donut)
