Agreed. He is responding to the lead BFGMiner dev who is probably adding support for these chips into his miner.

I concur.  Customers and potential customers come before us investors.

Isn't he also one of the bitcoin core developers?

Yes, I would rather he tend to the needs of customers first... and that is what I imagine he is doing.

In regards to friedcat fucking investors over and all that, one has to look at it from his perspective.

Many of the buyers of his chips are investors as well, one for sure is a board member.  If he fucks over shareholders, his current business relationships are tampered.  People pointed out that there are no laws that force anything him to honor his contract, this may be true but what does matter is reputation.  Friedcat has for a long time had a very solid reputation that is probably the major reason for a good part of the success we have seen.  With there being so many investors, he has a group of people actively routing for him.  I always recommend Asicminer products to people who ask, and answer questions when they are posed.  If he did fall back on his promises, I would imagine also he would have to start to fear for retribution...

I feel that he has more to lose falling back on his contract, then he has to gain from it.  The mining industry has yet to hit the big time.  Right now it is start up businesses that are setting up farms, no big companies in the space of data centers have gotten involved... I imagine that day may soon come, and having a clean and robust reputation will only benefit him.

All that said, I too, would really like him to come in here and say "Update coming within 48hours" or something to that effect in this thread.

I agree its annoying for shareholders to see FC posting these kinds of things, and "ignoring" shareholders, but that's his MO. He has never spent his time saying "I'll post tomorrow" or whatever, he just posts when he is ready to post and then shuts up again.

You can call it rude, insensitive ,whatever you like, but its his MO and people don't change their MO. Now if he ever got round to employing that PR person .... (wishful thinking)

Isn't HashRatio using AM Gen3 chips? look at this running farm :

http://www.hashratio.com/#prettyPhoto

so clients of AM are selling/shipping their products using AM gen3 and have own running farms full with AM gen3, they are actually making tons of money right now, clearly Friedcat sold a lot of chips long time ago and still he hasn't fulfilled his basic obligations to his own shareholders? If clients farms are running, it suggest us that AM farm is running too, but in stealth mode, non-visible to us, but we're not stupid. Jutarul, don't you want to say something about this mess and about that "May 27th." you mentioned ?

although i dont mind waiting, i think FC surely seem to enjoy teasing us like that. posting there and there, but just not here.. ^^

I don't understand how he can take the time to post that but can't give us a very simple update. This is strange... Very strange. Is it possible that minerpumpkin completely fabricated that answer? I cannot understand how a person could make such an announcement to thousands of people only to not stock to their word without so much as a single sentence to let us know why... unless he never said it at all. Even Havelock called it nothing more then a "rumor".

What answer? The ones Jutarul (a board member) posted? The one I just linked, well... I'm afraid I can't fake posts by friedcat himself.
No fabrications from my side  Smiley

Sorry I thought you had gathered the questions/answers for some reason. So where is this Jutraul now?

If hardware is sold for fiat which has to be converted into BTC, and all of the Chinese exchanges have been experiencing issues recently, wouldn't that potentially create a delay?  I'm surprised no one has mentioned this yet.

Sorry I thought you had gathered the questions/answers for some reason. So where is this Jutraul now?

I collected question-proposals, phrased the questions for FC and forwarded them to Jutarul, who gave them to FC. FC obviously answered them and Jutarul posted those answers. I can't vouch for Jutarul, but I - personally - believe that questioning his integrity would be quite paranoid, and am most thankful for his help of getting the questions through to FC and providing his answers.

How can you tell whether they're running gen3 hardware?

Yes, Neobee bagholders had the same "everything is fine, just stfu, our CEO is 2nd Jesus" attitude, when I warned them long before Brewster ran away with money. I am not suggesting, that FC is running with money... yet, but please keep this thread about ASICminer, not about personal attacks. Freedom of expression. Thanks.

Yes. If so, I'm surprised Friedcat hasn't mentioned this yet.
