1001  Economy / Securities / Re: [HAVELOCK] SCRYPT 4 GH/s hosted scrypt mining project by CRYPTX on: August 14, 2014, 07:01:41 PM
No update on new hash to be added to network.
BTC price crashing.
CryptX admin/hosting fee's still outrageous but hey at least somebody's making money.

Going to be a helluva ride to the bottom it seems.
1002  Other / Archival / Re: Done on: August 14, 2014, 05:47:12 PM
No don't think you can transfer the mining contract. But why would i risk a mining contract worth 8k for a loan of a few bucks?
How is it a risk if held by a trusted member in Escrow?  Unless your saying neither myself nor anybody else on here is worthy of that level of trust.  Wasn't necessarily proposing an all or nothing if the contract was actually transferable either FYI although I can see how you would've read it that way from my post.

If it turns out you can transfer a near comparable amount of hash-value to cover the loan (i.e. a portion) I would still be willing to provide the loan.  But it doesn't sound like either it is or if it is that you are willing to allow some trusted member to hold onto it until you pay the loan back.  If this is the case I suspect you will find it next to impossible to secure this loan with no collateral but I wish you the best of luck.
1003  Economy / Securities / Re: [HAVELOCK] PETAMINE - 1,150 TH/S HASH RATE (1GH/S per Unit) on: August 14, 2014, 05:37:08 PM
They seem to be in freefall right now... to the people (ie Puppet) who have been incredibly bearish on PETA, at what point, if any, do you see these becoming a good investment?
In short under peta's current model the timeline for these becoming a good investment will probably happen around the 2nd of Nebruary (that's right, the 2nd February of Never!)

The fixed elec/hosting fee's of this operation coupled with the fact that there is no longer any hardware reinvestment fund to et all basically guarantees that this asset is on the fast-track to 0 for investors.

CryptX and company sure do appreciate your investment though I'm sure.
*smacking myself in the head for still owning any of these

*IPO Magic: I wish I would've been wrong though :/
1004  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why the price of bitcoin is falling? on: August 14, 2014, 05:24:21 PM
In a word BitLicense.  It's the death-knell for bitcoin in the US if it passes and I suspect if it does we will definitely see the $200-$300 range again by the end of the year sadly.

Bitstamp switching bank's isn't helping matters much either atm.
1005  Economy / Economics / Re: STOP SELLING NOW!! URGENT CALL TO BITSTAMPERS AROUND THE WORLD on: August 14, 2014, 05:18:37 PM
Oh how I wish the OP would come to pass but sadly I really don't think it will :/

imho, there are far too many unscrupulous people out there with way too fat of a bitcoin bag...not to mention this BitLicense situation having everybody in the US pretty much shaking in their boots!

Many thanks...looking forward to trying out the site!
1008  Other / Archival / Re: Done on: August 14, 2014, 07:32:36 AM
Who is your mining contract with?  Is it transferable?  If the answer is yes to both of these questions I would be willing to provide the loan provided you transfer the account to either me or a trusted escrow member for loans duration.  PM me if interested.
1009  Economy / Speculation / Re: My Prediction Chart on: August 13, 2014, 06:11:49 PM
The really nice thing about graph's that don't actually display any numbers is that they are really really hard to disprove! Smiley

1010  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Implemented STUN protocol for cryptocurrency on: August 13, 2014, 05:47:10 AM
Interesting concept.  I know STUN server's have been used for a number of year's for NAT traversal for VoIP devices located behind NAT.  Are you currently considering implementing a Port Restricted Cone of some sort?

Definitely agree that having only a single source for current web-based lookups is not a good thing.  dyndns takes a hit and we have some serious problems imho.

I should probably modify those lines in my wallet's local-source from non-working one to something like:
whatsmyip.org (as a secondary).  Honestly I'm a bit surprised there is only a single fail-over (albeit invalid) currently in the system.
1011  Economy / Exchanges / Re: [IPO] CoinPal - Crypto-Currency Exchange & Profit Switching Mining Pool {NEW} on: August 13, 2014, 03:39:18 AM
Heīs still selling shares on cryptostocks. Thatīs real wild west here  Lips sealed

btw: BTC Volume 0.00009176 BTC on coinpal.

Itīs a nip-and-tuck race with alcurex  Cheesy ....  Undecided Cry    (invested in both of them)
lmao @ volume comparison...i thought I was the only poor schmuck that actually lost satoshi's on both of these ventures.  I received an e-mail from Mr. Gay himself several days ago, a couple of them actually, each one promising to give a complete update here on in the thread as well as on CS announcement as to current status and future plans of CoinPal.  Obviously he hasn't come through on any of it :/

Then there are names such as Craptsy instead of Cryptsy.

*Note: I can make fun of them since I use them constantly.
1014  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Government Is Trying To Explain Bitcoin to Normal People | TIME | #bitcoin on: August 12, 2014, 07:34:59 PM

If they are explaining it and explaining risks then good.  If they are saying its for drugs and child porn it means ban hammer.
It's a good thing good ole US fiat isn't used for these types of activities :p

Given the new potential regulation pending from NY I'm surprised they feel comfortable enough with their grasp over the bitcoin basic's to even go so far as to try and explain Bitcoin to 'normal' people.
1015  Economy / Securities / Re: [Cryptostocks] BBBB Bitcoin Emerging Market Fund on: August 11, 2014, 08:47:09 AM
e-mailed you a really rough draft ODS file with most of the base value(s) plugged in that I could determine at a glance.  Hope it helps.

1018  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][MAX] MaxCoin - Alive and Kickin' on: August 11, 2014, 06:32:48 AM
Maxcoin has No features.

Maxcoin has No community

Maxcoin has No adoption

Maxcoin has No working developers/development team

Maxcoin has No exchange support/buyers, having been delisted from most of the exchanges it was previously on because of having No buyers, but tons of sellers which = no trading going on.

This coin is only a pump and dump by Max Keiser(who abandoned this coin to go and make Startcoin/Startjoin), there has been No development on this coin at all, and there is no development team working on this coin.

Maxcoin is dead and has been for a long time.

Doesn't get any more honest than this.  This coin will be dead by the middle of 2015 at the latest now I'm guessing.  Looking for my exit position on these puppies.
1019  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] LazyCoins- Crypto Currency Exchange-0% Fee Trading- Beta Launched 21/07/14 on: August 11, 2014, 05:31:42 AM
Just signed up for an account to give it a try and have to say I like the nice clean interface.  Agree it's much more responsive than bittrex (especially on my old-ass laptop).  Like the QR code availability when depositing BTC as well so I can just scan with my phone and go Smiley

Once I get the necessary confirmations I'll go ahead and try putting in a buy order or two.

Oh yeah, buy orders placed for BC and Jade, somebody sell into me will ya so I can verify their trading engine works :p
1020  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: FAS - Shares Auction Results / Fasbit Reputation page on: August 11, 2014, 05:20:47 AM
Looks like ole fasbit might be back in the game.  Just paid out a dividend on FAS asset on CS for 1 satoshi/share.  It isn't alot but at least it's something.
