1001  Other / Off-topic / Re: BFL "EasyMiner" Released. Reviews? on: May 09, 2012, 06:36:30 PM
Any way to allow us to mine where we want, pools other than Eclipse??

Did BFL answer this or am I just blind?

In 4-6 weeks they will release a miner that allows you to mine anywhere you like.

In the meantime they are paying Inaba for doing the PR and tech support around here by locking easy miner to his pool only.
1002  Economy / Lending / Re: DoubleIcaras Collections Thread [2nd] on: May 09, 2012, 06:27:25 PM
Don't get the point of selling debt. It is worth 0 now he defaulted ...

It is not like you will ever get that scammer anyway.

Even if you have ALL his details what can we do ( legally ) to him ?

Most likely we get sued for harassment because BTC is not legal tender and he has not committed a criminal offence Angry
Let's say I lend you some of my rare baseball cards and you promise to give them back to me in one month.  Let's say the baseball cards are worth about $1500.  Now let's say you do not return them when you said you would.

Has a crime been committed?  Could I go to court over this claim?  Are baseball cards legal tender?

Answers:  Yes, Yes, No.

BTC is a virtual good by legal definitions. I would LOVE for somebody to take the likes of Linode and Tom Williams to court over BTC.

LOL Good luck getting BTC thieves into court Cheesy
1003  Other / Meta / Re: Unjust scammer tag on: May 09, 2012, 05:26:39 PM
I had no debt it was a donation for all I care.

The fact that you choose to interpret it as such is what everyone is taking issue with. It amounts to someone handing the shopkeeper a $20 instead of a $10 by mistake, and the shopkeeper saying "as far as I'm concerned, that's my tip. You can't have it back". It's dishonest behavior, and that's why people are calling you out on it.

We're not saying you're the biggest scammer of all time, so don't trivialize the objections by making us sound irrational. You'd be pissed off if the shopkeeper kept your $20, even if it was just $10 lost. The fact that you're making this a huge issue of "bitcoin doesn't have chargebacks" just shows how far you've gone to rationalize what you've done and avoid admitting you're wrong. This has nothing to do with bitcoin chargebacks. We know that bitcoin can't do chargebacks, and that's why you still have the money. The point is your honesty (or lack thereof) and the fact that you're citing a technical aspect of bitcoin (the lack of chargebacks support in the protocol) as a justification for your own decision.

Yet another failogy.

It is more like this : smart1985 dropped a quarter in the sewer. I found it ( working like a rat in the sewers ) and kept it for myself. Finders-keepers.

I could have captured the DNA on the coin and gone to police station and scan the DNA database and return the lost quarter to smart1985 but why bother ?

He dropped the coin, his problem to get it back from the sewers !

I offered 10 months of service for 25 BTC ( original deal was 2.5 BTC for a month ) and he doesn't like that policy and I am huge scammer Cheesy

I would have returned if he did not attack me.
1004  Other / Meta / Re: Unjust scammer tag on: May 09, 2012, 04:41:38 PM
Firstly, thanks for the thread bump.

It would be a crime for everyone to forget how big of a scammer I am.

What is this talk about A1BITCOINPOOL coming back and you buying my "debt" Huh

I had no debt it was a donation for all I care.

1009  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: Sign of 5970 failure? on: May 09, 2012, 03:38:58 PM
the VRM on the 5970 is a weak link. they tried to save a buck a card by going to a 3 phase power rather than the 4 phase power that is on the 5870 and many cards VRM run way too hot and die a early death because of it.

I consider it a design defect, the manufacturers should eat the cost of the rma's luckily in the 5970 days many offered lifetime or 5 year warranties. many companies dont do that anymore, especially after the nvidia chip fiasco and various problems with ATI.

Indeed. This is why I avoid 5970s and only have 5870s.

Wondering if 7990 will be a compromise to save $$$ again when GTX 690 totally owned all ATI has and almost 96% peformance of SLI GTX 680.

They can't afford to skimp on the 7990, I think ...
1010  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Where are my coins? on: May 09, 2012, 02:39:46 PM
I've sended little bit more than 17 BTC to my account on glbse. It was over 16 hours ago. They didn't show up, bitcoin client shows that transaction have 0 confirmation and blockexplorer can't find that transaction either. WTF?

I probably stole them Cheesy

Can blockchain.info find the TX ?

Probably you are being a little greedy and did not include TX fee and TX is now stuck !
1011  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: SECURITY ISSUES - anyone interested in a manhunt? on: May 09, 2012, 02:37:22 PM
You probably won't be able to get the attacker from the IP address alone, it's most likely a TOR exit node, public proxy, botnet or a hacked server.

The IP that the biggest scammer on the forums posted is running a mail server that is sending spam, and has tried to dictionary attack something before:
http://www.projecthoneypot.org/ip_187.113.24.162

Yeah. Looks like the Russians are doing it from looking at that site above and the content of the spam messages :

187.113.24.162.static.host.gvt.net.br

http://webcache.googleusercontent.com/search?q=cache:E9qKWrLYArgJ:kadastr.perm.ru:8080/pflogsumm/current/13-11-2011+&cd=3&hl=en&ct=clnk

BTC-E exchange anything to do with this Huh
1012  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: SECURITY ISSUES - anyone interested in a manhunt? on: May 09, 2012, 02:04:14 PM
Same here.

187.113.24.162 from Brazil Huh

WTF !

1013  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: Success unlocking 7950 to 7970? on: May 09, 2012, 01:32:13 PM
I was swarming around CHW.net and found it. Here you have the source, VGA.it168, translated. Not a perfect job from Google translator ("fire hurricane"? lol) but images say everything.

Will just a few cards be unlockable unlike 6950?

What do you think?

Very interested in this.

What versions of the 7950 can be unlocked now ?

Is this even real or just a fake ?

I suppose the bigger question is "WHERE IS THE 7990 Huh" now.
1014  Economy / Securities / Re: Announcing GPUMoney, “Monetize Your Gaming!” GPUMoney.com on: May 08, 2012, 11:34:56 PM
This is not a sustainable business model. Trust me, I'm a doctor scammer.[/quote]

Best joke today !

I think this might work because of the little children that don't care about the heat and the power bill for a magical sword or something ...
1015  Other / Off-topic / Re: Little known facts about myself/yourself. on: May 08, 2012, 08:57:32 PM
Just like my signature suggests, I am the biggest scammer on these forums !

Cheesy
1016  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Litecoins--Dead or Alive? on: May 08, 2012, 08:46:10 PM
Hello Smiley I have recently become interested in LTC and have mined 7-8 of them (mostly on GPU, ~75khash/s).

I was curious what you guys thought... is litecoin dead? Are there any known merchants that accept LTC? I poked around on the internet and couldn't find any merchants accepting them, did I miss something? I understand the exchange rate is orders of magnitude lower than BTC (1BTC is worth thousands of LTC).

Nice try Solidcoin sockie.

~BCX~

OK. Let me guess the connection :

they both start with the letter V !

Vorksholk = ViperLemon dude Huh

How much are you getting paid to pump up MicroCa$h this time around ?

Strange you were dormant for months but since MC has been announced you are always promoting ScamCoin ...
1017  Other / Off-topic / Re: OK, i confirmed the model of FPGA they are using in BFL single. on: May 08, 2012, 08:37:01 PM
I am pretty sure they are using different chips for the boxes.
1018  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Algorithmically placed FPGA miner: 227MH/s per chip and rising on: May 08, 2012, 08:34:29 PM
Why not hold the secret for yourself instead of giving it to the masses leading to instant difficulty rise Huh

Just like my buddy ArtForz. He made 60 000 BTC off a 4850 it was claimed.

Or you don't have faith in BTC / mining and selling the bitstream is more profitable you think ?

Thanks for the development work BTW. What education do you have for others looking to become as skilled ?
1019  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: BitForce SHA256 Single on: May 08, 2012, 08:27:58 PM
Can we please get this moved to FPGA section ?

Thank you !

Is this really inappropriate for this board? It says Hardware, not GPUs. This isn't necessarily an FPGA-centric discussion and I'm curious to hear people's opinions to OP's question.

Really ? FPGA subforum. Can some moderator please move this there and also make a note to others to post in FPGA section because BFL is not using Radeon 6990 inside !

1020  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: Is it truly economically beneficial to run to FPGAs right now ? on: May 08, 2012, 08:25:24 PM
7970: Currently $405USD, ~700Mhash, 250W, warranty 1+ year from many reliable manufacturers available instantly, resale >$200 if sold in 2 years. Also play games and act as GPUs... Return on investment time: Dependent on your local electricity prices. Block reward halving in 7 months...

Fill in the gaps for other devices.

Note: I only have GPUs.

No way man. FPGA is the best thing since sliced butter.

Oh and them BFL wonder boxes are tasty as peanuts !

I get the feeling that everybody is saying "GPU is dying" so they can grab them at a cheaper price ...

I will be laughing at the FPGA folks with 20 or so useless boards when the gold dries up here Cheesy
