1081  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Is Happyminer real? on: May 29, 2023, 01:12:09 PM
Classic ponzi scheme pretending to be a cloudmining site. Stay away from it at all costs.

Some Redditor asked them a question about their hash power and what he discovered is pretty interesting

Here's one of the answers from their support bot:

"As ASIC are the most energy-efficient miners, we use them since they dominate the market. Our hash power can reach 471700 GH/s, making us one of the leading providers. Furthermore, our mining farms are equipped with state-of-the-art supercomputers and cooling systems that are extremely efficient."

So their entire mining operation is a measly 471.7 th/s and yet they offer physically impossible returns? (For those who are unfamiliar, the profit from mining bitcoin at 471 th/s without even subtracting any power or maintenance costs is currently about 35 bucks a day, that's something someone would have in their garage as a hobby)

Ofc email support never answered to explain to me how this math works for them.

You can use this calculator to see how much their hashrate which makes them the "leading providers" bring them per day even at zero power costs - https://minerstat.com/coin/BTC  Grin

1082  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Is Tornado cash still up and usable? on: May 28, 2023, 10:54:48 PM
@Bitcoin_Arena. It might be, however, where will the attackers mix and launder their stolen coins if they kill Tornado Cash hehehe.
They will try to use the AMM exchanges perhaps?
I am also seeing some forks of tornado cash and on different chains though I am not sure which one is legit and which one is not.

There is also word that Tornado cash Governance control is about to be restored.

in also other news, it's said that a Wallet drainer moved funds to Tornado Cash, which translated it to still being functional
1083  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: nftonspin.com looks like a scam on: May 28, 2023, 10:31:14 PM
I have left them a negative on their profile, of-course reversible if they respond positively but I have some doubts if they will do this. A trust flag will also be applied if nothing happens in the next few days.

Both of you aren't regular in the gambling board. As a result, both of you aren't aware of them. NFTonSPIN has an ANN thread in the gambling board:
Thanks for the info.

Yes bro am 100% sure its real as its my affiliate money I got and the app am using is downloaded from IOS app store directly and its called Trust Wallet which is a part of binance

I would really love to help out, but I don't know how to go about this whole situation. Had you had a little bit of reputation here or a good enough activity. I would have sent you the TRX without having any doubts that you would refund it.
1085  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: nftonspin.com looks like a scam on: May 27, 2023, 11:48:17 PM
How did you come across this site?

Feels like a confirmed scam if they refused to make payments and respond to your messages

1086  Economy / Lending / Re: I would like to borrow 0.0054 BTC on: May 26, 2023, 11:54:48 PM
You have to leave something of high liquidity for the lender so that he can sell it off to recover the money in case you default the loan. Just like you would go to the bank and ask for a loan, you have to provide collateral.

I am sure you know how the internet is filled with scammers so, no-collateral loans for a user without even reputation is a no-go zone for the lenders
1087  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: ✅ [ANN] Bettercallraul.it No KYC Crypto Exchange | LOW FEES & Private | CLI ✅ on: May 26, 2023, 11:28:06 PM
Bettercallraul is not accessible anymore he pull the plug because he knows that he is being tracked its good that Royse is implementing new measures to prevent a similar occurrence, it's hard for bounty managers to experience something like this, only experienced managers can come out with this bad experience, this is one of the risks of being a campaign manager, an inexperienced manager will just run away.
One wonders where they got the funding from to run a signature campaign for some good number of weeks.

Could they have been past scammers coming in to pull off another scam but then failed when the exchange failed to gain traction and now look for an alternative scam service to introduce to the forum in the near future?
1088  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: ✅ [ANN] Bettercallraul.it No KYC Crypto Exchange | LOW FEES & Private | CLI ✅ on: May 25, 2023, 11:57:47 PM
Maybe not many people are use exch.cx, I didn't even heard of this exchange.
probably because it's fairly new, about 10-11 months old and they also haven't bothered to advertise themselves.

But they are ranked highly on kycnot.me, with a score of 9/10

Did anyone from bitcointalk forum used this scam exchange and lost any money?
Apart from the unpaid campaign participants, I doubt if there is any member here who was scammed otherwise we would have seen a number of scam accusation

Total ripoff.
Sadly nobody spent time doing plagiarism checking for them, and I think this must be done when there are campaigns in forum.
We usually have very sharp forum detectives who just need an hour or so to detect such anomalies but i guess they were destructed by other service events at that time
1089  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Selling Altcoins for BTC on: May 23, 2023, 11:35:08 PM
I would suggest you head over to Tradingview and first have a look at the ETH/BTC chart so that you can make an informed decision on when you would want to sell the ETH for BTC
Look at the higher time frames. Bitcoin usually does better at the beginning of the bull run before ETH takes over later.

I would like to know, in which platform is your ETH staked?
1090  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Need TRX Coin I can pay using my verified Paypal Email | USDT $400 In Wallet on: May 23, 2023, 11:13:59 PM
I dont have enough TRX to do the transaction bro as $400 USDT is stuck in Trust Wallet
Are you sure you legitimately acquired the USDT?

If someone "gifted" or sent you private keys of a wallet containing the USDT out of no where then be careful. Once you send the TRX to transfer the USDT out of the wallet. The TRX will be stolen and won't even be able to move out the USDT.

Reading through the first comments member made in this thread. I realized that the service had quite a number of red flags but perhaps the chaos surrounding the chipmixer seizure made people not to pay proper attention or be critical to the new service

Any member here who has used BettercallRaul before?

Please confirm to me that the service was not a complete rip-off from https://exch.cx (which seem to be older and legit)

There terms of service... Lol, How could we not see this?

1092  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Tornado.Cash Sanctioned by the US on: May 23, 2023, 09:57:47 PM
Well some more bad news for crypto mixer Tornado cash. It was hacked and hacker has made a proposal to undo his attack. The hacker wants the governance and decisions to be made by token holders. But there is some mixed views about this.

https://bitcoinist.com/hackers-exploit-sanctioned-mixer-tornado-cash/
But he already dumped some of the tokens on the market... right?

So where does he get the authority to make a proposal?
1093  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: ✅ [ANN] Bettercallraul.it No KYC Crypto Exchange | LOW FEES & Private | CLI ✅ on: May 23, 2023, 09:44:18 PM
Yes it is not tired to my neck. And It is a personal opinion and decision to my end. So there is no big deal there. I am about to use mixers to mix my coins but it will be a reputable on. But I said so because of what is happening to the mixing companies but later I also discovered that BetterCallRaul was not a mixer company but an exchange platform. I am going to use YoMix to test my mixing experience. So you don't have to castigate me from your own understanding of my semantic pour out.
But you just said "Mixers should not be allowed in the forum again because they are not reliable". It's a clear stance It means all mixers are unreliable and should not be allowed here again. One wonders why you are still advertising an unreliable service.

It's your opinion but quite hypocritical given that you wear a signature of one of them. I don't know what they would think about your opinion  Grin
1094  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: ✅ [ANN] Bettercallraul.it No KYC Crypto Exchange | LOW FEES & Private | CLI ✅ on: May 22, 2023, 11:52:55 PM
From the two images, showcase in the forum , they are all one and that means the BetterCallRaul claim it seizure is for scam and not real.
Photoshopped image (Edited one) from BetterCallRaul
They just slapped in the BetterCallRaul logo and name in the photo  Grin

This is very bad of them. Mixers should not be allowed in the forum again because they are not reliable.
How will we know they are not reliable yet we already have some old function mixers?

I don't know what really happened to this site, but we can see that chipmixer doesn't say domain seizure, is this an exit scam?
The clearnet page of chipmixer has "domain seizure"

I think it's an exit scam though probably a well planned one.

If you have $400 worth of USDT, why don't you exchange some for it for the $5 worth TRX you need?

I could help exchange the USDT but I don't have paypal right now. Good luck.
1096  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: HOTBIT EXCHANGE BANKRUPT || WITHDRAW FUND FAST on: May 22, 2023, 10:53:38 PM
How many people used and trusted this exchange anyway?

I have seen a number of scam accusations about in the past and never even wished to ever get registered with them
1. Stay Away from HOTBIT EXCHANGE
2. SCAM ALERT HOTBIT
3. You can lose your fund cheaply with HotBit Exchange. Don't be the next Victim

Hotbit listed many unofficial token which is not yet available in market with the strategy that they will give all these tokens holder 1:1 after token launch. They listed PI token which is not officially listed anywhere and price was pumped above 300$ in the Hotbit spot market. They listed Layerzero token recently and fact is that there is no token listed anywhere by official team. Hotbit users traded in these coins with thinking that they will be given these tokens after token launch but i think all goes in vain.
I see a number of exchanges do such a thing as well though I don't bother trading in such tokens until it's officially listed in an exchange

why do you want to use a mixer service when you can coinjoin with wasabi wallet?
Why would anyone want to use a service that blacklists UTXO's

Quote
Why do you trust someone else to hold your coins and expect him to send you back the money? You ought to be scammed.
Most of the scam mixers listed in the OP are phishing or clone websites. The number of mixers that might have exit scammed or even got siezed is very minimal.
1098  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Most profitable PoW coin now? on: May 21, 2023, 11:58:51 PM
The miner earns more than he pays for electricity, otherwise it is unprofitable to engage in mining. The miner can mine new coins that are not yet on the exchange, and due to this, earn a good profit. The price of video cards is cheap now, and will not fall much lower, so buying video cards can be a good decision if you believe in mining.
Mining makes more sense if the coin or new possible gem is not yet on the market and if it later gets listed and price shoots up or if the mining gear is somewhat efficient. But imagine someone mining a regular coin using old-not-so-efficient GPUs that are almost obsolete. They are in most cases going to do it at a loss in a bear markets which is why if someone just bought the coins using the money, they would be better off.

But anyways mining makes someone more involved.
1099  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Is Tornado cash still up and usable? on: May 21, 2023, 11:37:14 PM
Well, things just keep getting worse for Tornado Cash

The Tornado Cash Governance is under attack as attack gains control

Quote
Through a carefully crafted malicious proposal, the attacker managed to accumulate an astonishing 1,200,000 votes, surpassing the legitimate votes, estimated to be around 700,000. This staggering number granted the attacker full control over the Tornado Cash governance. With this newfound power, the attacker can execute various actions that could have severe consequences for the protocol.

Quote
The attacker, now in control of the governance system, holds the authority to exploit multiple functionalities within Tornado Cash. These include Withdrawal of Locked Votes, Drainage of Tokens, Bricking the Router

Perhaps the last nail on the coffin for them?
1100  Other / Meta / Re: Crimes of signatures campaign affects forum? on: May 21, 2023, 11:19:41 PM
I have be cleared of signaturesm campaign not to contribute an act that will leads of seizing this website, since forum no crime of signatures campaign can cause problem to bitcointalk I have no worries, because I notice a signature campaign that all the participants is on red tag and the name is 1xbit, won't this signature campaign bring a negative name for bitcointalk because of their several accusations which has not be clarify?  Can't government investigate forum because of their act??
This is no big deal

For example Google advertises so many scams and they are even bigger than this forum, so why aren't they investigated and arrest for taking money from scammers and facilitating scam by advertising them?

Why would FBI cherry pick Bitcointalk and leave out Google, Reddit, Facebook?

Ooh, did i forget to tell you that 1xbet, a sister scam company to 1xbit also appears in La Liga and Seria A display boards?
