1081  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Trojan Wallet stealer be careful on: June 23, 2016, 09:17:16 AM
I mean WTH man, you warn us not to download/install anything from this forum and yet you just wrote your own malicious link.
The link isn't malicious, it's a download to a disk encryption program. There is a difference between downloading a program from a trusted URL and downloading something from a shady one.
Why would the staff allow a topic with a malicious link to be stickied?

Nobody will get fooled by this. Especially by that ridiculously negative trust of yours.
AFAIK Nefario wasn't negatively trusted at the time of this  posting. The trust system didn't exist back then, and I'm guessing it was prior to recieving his scammer tag.
1082  Economy / Collectibles / Re: Silver Wallets - A New Kind of Physical Storage [5% OFF] on: June 22, 2016, 10:41:08 PM
Did you miss the sale? We'll give you 5% off on every coin you order.

Get yours now!
Is this offer still valid?
1083  Other / Meta / Re: My Account got banned for unknown reasons on: June 22, 2016, 10:26:33 PM
I have just seen that JAK1 post and i hereby confirm that i have no link with JAK1 and i have not sell that account or whatever. I wonder  would you believe anyone without any proof ? Please  provide any proof of that?
This is the first time i have heard of Jak1 and you people have made a while story of mine with him without any proof ?
I don't believe him here, it is just the only reasoning for your ban that I can see.

This means anyone can use anyone account name and mods will ban the account ?
I addressed this in my original post, if you had read it fully before replying.
While I doubt that you got banned simply from the word of jak1 in his ban appeal (and that this is complete speculation) I expect that the staff may have found further evidence to link you to this account prior to it being sold, therefore having copy-pasted posts and broken the rules by doing so - resulting in a permanent ban across all of your known accounts.
The staff wouldn't blindly trust the word of a random user, especially one that originally lied about his ban appeal.

As said previously, you will have to wait for a staff member's reply before you get a definitive answer. Try PMing hilariousandco or Cyrus asking them to comment on the situation. If it were an issue with your posts, it is likely that one of them dealt with you.
1084  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: 〖ⓉⓊⓉⓄⓇⒾⒶⓁ〗 Stop Bots + Proxies From Using Your Faucet on: June 22, 2016, 09:57:03 PM
What does that script do exactly?
Which script do you mean? The first one in the thread?

How do bot get past the captchas exactly?
They use an API which sends the captcha's image to a server (for a small fee) where another person then solves it for a reward.
1085  Other / Archival / Re: Updated Overview of Bitcointalk Signature-Ad Campaigns on: June 22, 2016, 06:23:24 PM
Don't be absurd. Assuming that LIR campaign will pay in BTC and not in LIR, they can be listed in the OP. New campaigns are able to get into the OP. Their status would be Payment Not Yet Confirmed (PNYC) as the campaign is new and hasn't reached the first pay day just yet.
Apart from Jeremycoin was completely correct, as if you looked at the thread you can see that:
Equivalent paid in LIR coin, example Joe posts 10 posts, so that will be 0.007btc worth of LIR, amount will be determined at the end of the sale .

Why is OP not replying to this thread nor updating the status of same. Its being 13 days now and in this times ideally quicker if possible is better. No doubt he is doing a wonderful job of having this thread but sooner its gets update better for all to get confusion cleared.
Due to the OP's staff duties he is busy a lot of the time. If you really want the thread to be updated, you can create a PasteBin of the amended OP similar to how shorena used to.
1086  Other / Meta / Re: Referral Link on: June 22, 2016, 12:20:58 PM
Referral links are against the rules of the forum as if they weren't it would encourage spam of people posting them for an attempt at a quick buck.
If a post is constructive enough, I believe that affiliate links are allowed (however the post must contribute significantly).
1087  Other / New forum software / Re: Shadow / Stealth Type of Ban Please on: June 22, 2016, 10:52:15 AM
If a poster disturb you, use ignore button. It's just under his user name...
I don't believe this is the point of the function that the OP suggested. The point would be to give this sort of ban to offenders (such as spammers) so that they believe they are still taking part in discussion on the forum, when really they are not (perhaps lowering the chance of them making alt accounts/ban evading).

However, there are problems with this as suggested above. The idea is nice, but it would be impossible to execute as it is intended.
1088  Other / Meta / Re: My Account got banned for unknown reasons on: June 22, 2016, 10:47:58 AM
While I am just speculating, your account name was mentioned in the ban appeal of jak1 as being the previous owner of his account. This account (jak1) was found to have copy-pasted posts on the 19th May, however in the ban appeal he claims that the account was sold on the 25th May. This would mean that the previous owner of the account had copy-pasted those posts, the previous owner which is said to be you.

You should probably wait for a staff member's comment before you say anything, but this seems like a viable explanation.

Maybe there was a reason why you get baned with this forum whatever reason is,your the only one who already know what you do.
😁😁
What a very constructive and helpful post - oh wait it's a YoBit campaigner. That explains it.
1089  Other / Meta / Re: [suggestion] [programming forum. on: June 21, 2016, 11:27:05 AM
It would go beyond a jobs forum. It would be a community of good-intended programmers to help each other. This would make programming discussions less competitive (and less stressful) because after all, some users are not here for the money.
So you would want a Bitcoin version of StackOverflow?
I can understand the idea, but I don't think it would be implemented simply because there is no need for it. Programming jobs belong in the Services sub-board, and any programming questions can be asked on sites such as StackOverflow or can be created for a bounty the Services sub-section (or Services Discussion if it is a problem with an external service - E.G an API).

I don't think signature campaigns have not been given their own subforum because signature campaigns attract  a lot of spam.
Signature campaigns have not been given their own sub-forum (AFAIK) simply because there is not enough to warrant them having their own sub-forum. There are only 10-20 active at the same time, so there is definitely not enough to fill a sub-forum and maintain activity.
1090  Other / Meta / Re: My account get banned by moderator on: June 21, 2016, 11:18:30 AM
Your account was found to be copy-pasting posts by hilariousandco to boost your post count. This is a form of spam and is absolutely not allowed on the forum, especially when you're gaining something by doing it.

Your ban is permanent (as a time has not been specified in the ban message), meaning that you are not allowed to come back to the forum and post outside of this thread again. If you are found to be doing so on another account, that account will also be banned permanently.
By the looks of things you're a scammer too, so perhaps it's a good thing that you're banned from the forum.
1091  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Coinroll Signature Campaign Not Paying Out . on: June 20, 2016, 03:43:34 PM
I recall a similar situation happened previously when CoinUT's campaign lowered payment rates without warning halfway through a term.

My suggestion to anyone affected by this, and what user's did in the situation previously mentioned, would be to archive your profile currently and remove the current signature. Use the archive as proof to the manager that you stayed in the campaign until this point, and as a marker for where you should be paid up to (providing that the campaign does end up paying at all).

There is little point providing free advertisement, and a situation like this shouldn't affect your posting habits.
1092  Other / Meta / Re: Need Admin Help - Account banned for Unknown reason - Please Unban me on: June 20, 2016, 03:07:36 PM
what proper research should I done? there is no way to check every single post and verify that if this is copy pasted or not.
I just checked the posts and I found everyposts good and about the topic. this is all research I can do.
If you genuinely believe that you couldn't have possibly done any other research towards the posts on the account, you are either very lazy or very silly. If it's possible for someone to find the account to be spamming (whilst gaining no real reward for themselves), then I am 100% sure (and would have thought) that you would have done the same - especially so considering you were dropping $40+ into it.

You're expecting the staff to forgive you for:
  • Doing something that is not endorsed by the forum,
and then
  • Being ignorant/lazy whilst doing this causing you to buy a spammer's account.
I don't think - and hope - that no member of the staff wouldn't even think of allowing your account to be unbanned.

What nonsense? How could be I involved in a spam attempts which done by some one else and I bought the account after almost a week. please think once before saying something.
Because you're the owner of the account. You paid money in order to have access to a spammer's account to then post solely for the intention of earning money. This isn't the same situation as if the account was hacked, as that is not willing by the account owner. You buying the account means that you accept everything associated with the account - the account's post count, activity level, rank (which are all things useful to you) and any problems that may come along with the account.
If you don't agree with this, perhaps you should have 'thought once' before wasting your money buying a shit account.

my fault is only that I bought an account to earn some bitcoin from signature campaign. which is not a bad and illegal think according to forum rules and terms.
Buying an account isn't against the rules, no. Whether it is bad or not is subjective (and depends on who you ask).

Overall, you bought a shit account and got the consequences for doing so. Stop crying like a child because you were too lazy to do proper research, and accept said consequences.

Only one person can know about this and this is the previous owner of the account. I am sure the "Btcltccoin" reported this after 1 month. I don't know what benefit she get by doing this.
Hilarious can verify that who reported against this.
Why would hilariousandco tell you who reported the account so you could possibly harass them for doing so? Regardless, I believe that hilariousandco found the account to be spamming himself buy using a bot in a popular spam thread.

Here you go.  these  accounts are ALTS of Jak1.

1093  Other / Meta / Re: PSA: ACCOUNTS WILL BE LOCKED IF THE SECRET QUESTION IS USED TO RECOVER IT on: June 19, 2016, 04:38:34 PM
It will make your account vulnerable. (which is why the account gets locked to protect account theft when that is used to recover account)
Quote
Using this feature is not recommended. Anyone who guesses your secret answer will have access to your account.
It won't anymore, it will just be useless considering the account would just be locked if it were used.

What that quote is saying is about secret questions in general. Accounts only began to be locked after the forum was last compromised, as the secret questions and answers were leaked and could be decrypted to hack into accounts.
1094  Other / Meta / Re: Need Admin Help - Account banned for Unknown reason - Please Unban me on: June 19, 2016, 04:33:34 PM

The forum discourages account sales, therefore no one (at least, no one in authority) has much - if any - sympathy for you in this situation. It is your fault for not doing proper research on the account that you bought before completing the transaction for it, and now you're paying the price for it. Congratulations for wasting your money.

I don't think I should get punished for something which is not my fault or not I've involved in.
You are the current owner of the account, therefore you're automatically involved in it.

You just signed a message from an address that was posted on May 19.....
I believe the account had private keys to the staked address transferred along with it:
Edit: I thought the seller giving me the btc addresses with private keys so I don't need to stake new address and sign new message
1095  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: FaucetBOX.com Discussion on: June 19, 2016, 04:22:43 PM
Tap prompt the user to enter email and password before placing the wallet. Is it possible to do that? Help to reduce the bots.
Why should people have to sign up to use FaucetBox? Regardless, bots could just make accounts on FaucetBox to get around that.

Adding that to your faucet would likely be more effective, as a bot maker (probably) wouldn't put the effort into sign up to your faucet alone to abuse it.
1096  Other / Meta / Re: Sucker attempted to hack me because LISK holder. on: June 16, 2016, 07:06:34 PM
Is this site still attempting to scam users?
Most likely. Whether it be Bitcointaik or another domain, I expect that phishing sites will always be around attempting to trick people.

IMO, the best advice I can give is to install a password manager (E.G LastPass) and set it to auto-fill your Username and Password for Bitcointalk.org. This way, if LastPass doesn't fill in the form automatically, you know to check the domain and see if it is really Bitcointalk.org.

Tried to access the site via incognito it says site not found
I believe this is because the server is set up incorrectly/the owner is trying to hide the site. If you visit /index.php (or any URL similar to the link posted by OP) on the site it will come up with the default phishing site.

May I ask why a web host is running using both free hosting and a free domain (site88.net/000Webhost)?
Can't you transfer some of your own resources to host your own site and domain (providing said resources exist in the first place)?
