1101  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Casino Slot Steamers on: July 29, 2023, 02:25:25 PM

Do you guys follow the casino streamers and are they fun to watch? Or do you think that playing casino slots yourself is more fun?

While these streamers may earn a good amount of money through streaming, they sometimes may become inspirational to the gamblers which may lead the normal gamblers to gamble more or become addicted too in some cases.

I only watch one time, these streamers are good at tempting us to play more by showing how they easily win these games I will be tempted to play more hours, they are good at promoting casinos which is why casinos are playing them to stream casinos they are playing I don't have problem with these streamers it's just that I feel envy and could motivate me to play within my means, which I'm trying to control.

Same here. The last time I watch was the time I was looking for a strategy to win on blackjack. They are not sharing those strategies but I think those who follow these streamers are just as curious about how to win on particular games. But the sooner I learned that they were given money by the casino only to play on them and share the live stream the sooner I learn they are only playing pretend.

Win or lose they make money by promoting the casino.

1102  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Quit gamble! Easy or Hard? Let's talk. on: July 28, 2023, 06:49:50 PM
That statement proves that an addicted gambler without any willingness to face that hardship to avoid gambling will continue to repeat that same cycle, and nothing can be solved, there's a need of proper guidance with the help of professionals, there are patterns that those professionals studied to bring the balance back, and with your dedication and focus to really quit, you will be able to find ways to keep yourself busy without thinking anything about gambling.

To develop habit for something is very easy but sometimes very difficult to quit especially when the it's a bad one, sometimes those addicted to something doesn't know they're addicted until people let them know about their addiction to such act, and it's in our best interest to help people who are addicted to gambling change from the addiction, they could be your brother, sister, relatives or even neighbours that's why they need help because the consequences of their addiction might affect you in one way or the other, it might be a stressful task to carry out, but it's worth it and the change doesn't come easily, it takes a gradual process and requires one to be patient with addicts until they gradually change from their addictions.
Every problem have a solution also their a solution for gambling addiction as well and there are several ways they could be helped, earlier on i mentioned patient, you need to be very patient with them, giving them advices and let them know the consequences of addictive gambling and how it could destroy them mentally and financially, you don't go advising someone to change with violence or raising your voice on them, for cases that seems difficult like cases where the gamblers are deeply addicted you could refer them to visit therapists that would teach them to maintain good behaviours that would help them with  their gambling disorder.

Extending your patient applies with a person that close to you, for sure no one wants to see someone they know are suffering from any addiction that have a bad side effects to their life, the relationship with the addicted person is important as you really wanted to bring that help to a possible solution that will move the person from his addicted habits to something that will alternatively use his time and his mind, something that can get his attention and possible his focus to forget about his gambling addictions.

Whatever it takes, that key word patient will be a big factor for you to keep your distance close to the person you love, if there's a self-will the chance is not impossible, even how hard is it you both will find success to quit,.

Yes you are right that mate and in addition it's hard to have a friend or a family member that addicted in to a specific thing.  Because you need to influence him back into normal.  And also by the help of a gambling addict your goals will be achieve but if you don't have the cooperation and dedication then one thing for sure you can not change him back into his normal life. Because the main thing they need to quit is their self.

An addict can give up gambling if he/she gets a good treatment from those whom he/she cares about. Those addicts can only stop such a thing if they get impacted by emotions of the ones whom they love, but still the loved ones would have to show them that they really need them, and that's the only way to make a gambling addict give up on the habit of gambling.

That's true that those gambling addicts need self-determination to end up gambling but that self-determination can only come when they feel that the ones who truly love them are in need of them, and they would harm those with their bad habits if they continue gambling. Love is a very powerful emotion, and the ones who are influenced by love often tend to give up on any addiction.

It will still depend on the personality of the individual. Some of us will wait for the wake-up call before doing something productive in our lives. If this addict turned homeless for a long time all because of his gambling losses, he might be able to widely see what he did wrong and will finally wake up.  This is if his personality thrives to make himself better.

For some addicts, they tend to dig deeper. Mess with the wrong crowd and even kill himself. Totally different character decides what their fate will be.

I lean Blachowicz at first glance but after seeing him facing off with Pereira, I change my mind.  Pereira is a big dude who could KO Blachowicz at the first round imo.

Looks like it. Izzy must have pissed his pants every time Alex faceoff with him. He's just glad it's over now and avenge himself.
Alex may actually KO Jan. He had been training with Teixeira who already fought with Jan.

Spreading my funds to fighters that might just win like Poirier, Michel Pereira, Holland and Bonfim.

What do you think about Derrick Lewis now? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YBVW--bVlCc

He is not serious about that. There is nothing serious about what he posts on Twitter. Why would he buy an account when he can just take that account himself, Elon doesn't care about reputation, he has far more concerned about his money and his Space X. The doge pumped when he did this, he still has influence over this coin.

What he is serious about is turning Twitter into X, he has plans to add an exchange and payment system to it.
1105  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: CBDC in Russia on: July 28, 2023, 04:05:33 PM
Russia has a large territory and it is impossible to ban cash there in a few years, but many countries have been unlucky in this regard. In countries with a small territory, it is easier to digitize all citizens and make a digital wallet for everyone. In Russia, this will first be implemented where the Internet is massively available, because many people use banking services via SMS.

The whole world is launching CBDC and so the future is all digitalization and we're all gonna be seeing digitalization of assets and Putin knows it.
In wartime, it's easy to make it happen when they are going to have a database of all people in each city. But they will need to incentivize the use of CBDC in order for it to be used by people in the remote area.

The sad part is that it's still gonna be aa wealth transfer and the poor get poorer still.
1106  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: It's on! 2024 US Presidential Election Biden+Harris Vs Trump Bitcoin betting.... on: July 28, 2023, 03:49:05 PM

Will NATO just accept China brokering the deal?
Or will Russia also will US broker the deal? Who has the leverage in their situation?

LOL.. do you really think that the Western nations will allow China to come up with a deal? That will be a massive loss of face for them. There is more probability of the Turkish president Recep Tayyip Erdoğan may come up with a deal, which is acceptable for both the sides. But as long as Volodymyr Zelenskyy insists on NATO membership, none of this is going to happen. Because there is zero chance that Putin will agree to any deal that would see Ukraine getting the NATO membership (which would mean NATO nuclear weapons place near the Russian border).
Seems because China itself has several disputes with Western countries so that it greatly affects the agreement that will be made by China.
If this is really done, there will be more and more negative thoughts and also cause controversy between countries.
Putin himself cannot be silent about the agreement because it can affect his goals so far.
Putin is one of the country's leaders to be feared, so I'm not sure it will go well.

China brokered the peace deal between Iraq - Saudi which had been in quarrel for a very long time. This happened just recently which the US would have done since they have the means as world leader. This notion is already seen as a shift of global order.  That's why China did have a peace deal plan between Russia and Ukraine but was not considered by the West. I guess they were still hoping Ukraine can take back what was lost by means of escalating the war.

There is a rumor that might pump Robert Kennedy Jr.'s chance to be nominated as the presidential candidate. However, this rumor is bad news for Biden's campaign in the Democratic national convention hehe.

According to some news sources in social media, Bank of America, JPMorgan and other banks have submitted reports that made allegations on president Biden's family of committing tax fraud, moneylaundering and other financial crimes.

Every news matters nowadays. When finance issues and Hunter were investigated, it was already speculated the democratic party is about to dump Biden for another. Not sure why RFK is interested to run for President because the problems will all be his once he sits on the throne. I don't think he'd get much support from his own party.
1107  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling experience using loan money on: July 28, 2023, 03:32:24 PM
I have not tried asking loan only to gamble the money. Those users must have some tips like they are very sure they will win and replay the amount after playing. My heart would be pumping so hard if I bet the money if it were me. I would be betting the money on sports most probably. Those who took loans to gamble, do they do it in casino games like blackjack nad poker or would they do it in sports?

I want to know what's the experience on using loan money. Is there additional pressure on gameplay or just the same using regular money without an interest rate.

I have never borrowed money in my life to use for gambling. For one there's no guarantee that you'll win whatever you're about to wager on so you gambling on loan is like throwing your money into the sea and hoping that the wave brings it back to you.

For those that have borrowed and I have seen most of them do regret it while a few of them are lucky enough to come out with some profits, if you check the lending board you'll notice that lenders are not willing to lend to some accounts when they notice that they want to use it for gambling except that account is in a signature campaign that guarantees the payback of that loan.
For me loaning to gamble is a no go area for me.

Yep a no-go for me as well. If there is really the need to gamble, I might just sell the altcoins that I have been holding for years than ask for a loan.
1108  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🥊 The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: July 27, 2023, 08:26:47 PM
About Alex Pereira. I just read it one some comments. Is it really abuse to allow a fighter who had been knocked out terribly to fight again after just 3 months?

Good question. His fight with Adesanya was on 8th April, so it's closer to 4 months, but still. I vaguely recall some fighter or expert saying the recovery takes long months. Of course it depends on how bad the knockout was and on the fighter's age among other factors.
UFC often brag about providing high-level medical care for all the fighters, so it's possible that he went through some brain scans and they concluded that the damage was minimal.
I wouldn't be surprised if Pereira (or his agent) was the one pushing to make another fight quickly. He's not getting any younger and fans are quick to forget inactive fighters. Money-wise it makes more sense to do it now than to wait for another few months.

Alex Pereira is already 36 years old. He is certainly not getting any younger as you said. Probably a few years later, he will not be able to fight as well as he is doing now. So I think that is another reason why he has actually pushed so hard to take this fight. He was knocked out really badly against Israel Adesanya. I don’t think even if he is clear in terms of all medical exams, he should be fighting so early after he got knocked out.

I actually agree with you that he probably wants to stay relevant. That is a big reason why he took this fight so early. Of course he must be feeling confident about his ability going into this fight. But I also think that he wants to make as much money as quickly as possible.

I was just asking because I was watching a YT video about it and his fight against Jan. People are commenting that he might have trauma after that terrible KO. In the video Alex hardly can't balance himself, he had to have someone beside him. With brain knockout, sports association will warn UFC for abusing talents. If Alex will be knocked out by Jan, fans might bring this issue up.

Anyway, I actually would like the Poirier vs Gaethje fight to last long, they are quite enjoyable to watch in their first fight.  Its Alex vs Jan that might not just be on round 1.
1109  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Robert Kennedy Jr bought each of his 7 kids 2 BTC each! on: July 27, 2023, 08:07:52 PM

If he bought ETH, the quantity might just be 32 ETH for each kid he has but because he bought BTC, it must be a significant amount sp why he chose 2 BTC? We can not tell for sure what the significance of just 2BTC but it's still enough compare to those with none.

I can still say RK Jr is serious about his BTC support and is now asking for BTC donations for his election campaign. Crypto will really be used for the next election and we might just be observing more politicians faking their support for crypto.
1110  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [Warning] Scammers have created fake crypto projects using the X.com name. on: July 27, 2023, 07:44:21 PM

It is logical to use that platform for its promotion. I guess the scammers did make money, the naive investors are just going to send some amount thinking they are the first to invest.
The account wasn't blocked still, if it ain't blocked people will think this is really real so where is the censoring team when it's very much needed?

Even if it's an obvious scam, if the investors see the token is listed on the exchange and there is volume, a lot of investors are actually going to join in. We've seen this happen in the past.
1111  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: It's on! 2024 US Presidential Election Biden+Harris Vs Trump Bitcoin betting.... on: July 27, 2023, 07:19:26 PM
He doesn't really have a plan.  Duh.

And the options aren't "support the war" or "don't support the war".  You either help Ukraine defend itself or you allow Putin to get away with it like the west did with Hitler and Mussolini in the late 30s.
Well.. this is the picture that the Western warmongers want to paint. There should be no war at this point, if Ukraine wasn't bombarding the rebel held cities non-stop for the last 9 years. There will be no war if the neo-Nazis in Kiev refrained from ethnic cleansing of Russian speakers in East Ukraine. And that is exactly the reason why most of us outside the Western world has taken a neutral, or even pro-Russian stance during this war. The next POTUS elections are one and half years away, and by then the war will come to an end.
I have a solution for that but I am sure that nobody would care about it. Even before the start of the war this was the obvious choice, but after the war I came up with it myself and I bet that many people did as well. That land belongs to Ukraine, that much is known and shouldn't be disputed because we are in 2023 and we shouldn't really have a land dispute at this point. But the people are Russians, people who speak Russian and basically come from Russian land.

So, what can we do to both protect the people but also keep the land in Ukraine? We could just send those people back to Russia. Yes, it looks like a harsh thing but is it worse than war? Is it worse then cleansing? I feel like if you just could send them back to Russia, they will have hard time for a while but at least they will be alive and there would be no war.

It's too late to retain those land anymore. It now belongs to Russia even the people like to be part of Russia. People in Luhansk and Donetsk were also saying they wanna be part of Russia as more people n the region say they are Russian. They could have negotiated about it before the war broke out in the first place. All it needed was for Ukraine to remain neutral or not to be part of NATO. Zelensky hoped so much that he could win a war and win the hearts of the people in that region.

Let's say they go all in for war. They wouldn't win in any way either. Either surrendering or losing all the lives of Ukrainians, it will still end up in a deal anyway.
One thing they just have to agree on is who is going to broker the peace talk.

Will NATO just accept China brokering the deal?
Or will Russia also will US broker the deal? Who has the leverage in their situation?
1112  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tyson Fury vs Francis Ngannou Boxing October 28 on: July 27, 2023, 05:40:20 PM

Nope. It seems Tyson is winning in the poll. 18-15 votes.

It will really be the biggest upset in boxing history if Ngannou can pull this up. He can throw this biggest uppercut like what he did to Overeem to topple this. It's not really impossible but I wouldn't count on it. Realistically, Ngannou will gas out in 3-4 rounds while Fury will just be picking his shots to circle him. Fury being the undefeated HW champion, can instantly open Ngannou's defense to put an end to the fight.
1113  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Terrence Crawford vs Errol Spence - July 29 on: July 27, 2023, 05:17:31 PM
I have already bet Crawford by KO but after reading some comments I'm now unsure if I did the right choice.  Roll Eyes

Crawford may have won in this poll but the boxing community is also saying Spence has superior technical skills, he is also better in defense and is physically stronger. I may not even watch this fight because there is also another event in UFC but we're also going to be seeing them fight twice since both of them can activate their rematch clause as well.

Right! I honestly forgot that UCF 291 will also happen in the same day, and this will be a struggle for sure specially for those who are fan of both sports because both event is surely a waste if we cannot see it. Anyway, I'm just looking forward to seeing the Crawford vs Spence fight and one undercard in that same event where Donaire is campaigning to be a champion again.

About the bet, I already got Crawford via KO. You just gotta trust your bet and gut mate because there is surely a reason why you chose that be and not the other way around.

Good luck with that fellas as it seems like there's plenty of things on your plate now Grin Let's hope that there will be some slight window for those fights so that you watch watch both events. Regarding about whom to bet, I also got Crawford by a way of knockout and if you'll ask me why, my answer is simple, I still believe that Crawford is not yet finished in building his legacy and still standing in his prime years where he can still dance gracefully even if that is Errol Spence Jr.

Seeing both these fighters can erupt once they see a chance, someone's gotta fall when that happens and it could either be Crawford or Spence. Let's say Spence superbly carries out his defenses as well. It might end up just as UD. Spence was once undermined before the fight with Mikey Garcia saying the only reason he can win is because he is bigger but he outboxed Garcia. All Garcia did in the end rounds was just protecting himself. I'll just hope I win big on UFC 291 if the KO we expect will not happen.
1114  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling should be play with care on: July 27, 2023, 03:52:28 PM

Stopping in the middle of the poker game because the money allocated for the month is reached is not going to make them win. The itch on their palm is going to get itchier by the day and the next day they will come back to allocate another percentage for poker game. If they stop every time they reach their budget for the month, the loss will be consolidated where as they could win back if they didn't stop.

A person just has to realize that gambling on casino games is for rich people. If he plays on budget, he best follows that rule to stop playing. Not minding the urge.

In the case of online merchants, I think they will use platforms like BitPay which they may complain to this company if something happens. Customers will also have to DYOR to verify whether the merchant is not a scam.

Quote
In a trade does the buyer send their Bitcoin first or the seller send their goods/service?

Yep, You could say it only involves those you trust which is why you may need to read comments and accusations about the online store. It's easier to make a transaction if it's a local store.
1116  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tyson Fury vs Francis Ngannou Boxing October 28 on: July 26, 2023, 08:37:14 PM

Definitely the money. There is no way a WBC/WBO boxing champ will fight someone who is a first-timer. For all, we know it's just Jake Logan who does this but WBC consented to make this happen. The hype is on and everybody can make a huge money as well.

Hard to see if Ngannou will ever land a lucky punch. All we witness from him is a Will Smith slap coming from the ground while Fury had been fighting boxers the likes of Wilder.
One possibility is that, and this may just be a tinfoil assumption, Fury may intentionally not knock out Ngannou for the sake of a rematch.

Now the boxing was more corrupted as compared to before, the main reason is to earn money. The boxer had his carrier very short time,it’s the main reason for the corrupted boxers. The boxer doesn’t have a chance to earn more money as like a football player, cricket player. So they get into the match fixing on the important league game.WBC itself get corrupted and allow the Logan to win the match, the Logan match was the game of first time match.

Ngannou should learn the game and get his maximum power punch to win the game against the Tyson Fury. Most of the people support the Fury as compared to the Ngannou.Because Fury was the old player with lot of game win as compared to the Ngannou.Fury full intention to win the game by knock out as compared to win the game by points.

Everyone has their say about this match but there is still a big community that sees it as MMA vs Boxing. Ngannou is a UFC HW champ and Fury is the boxing HW champ. When Jake Paul defeated MMA stars, it then becomes a battle of both combat sports. But this Ngannou-Fury fight is for the badest motherfucker in the world. If Ngannou-Gane got a ton of hype that the legacy media covered it, this one will definitely be in the headlines.

Yep those organizations like WBC or WBO are just the same mafia guys in the beginning of boxing sport, they just got an organization name but it's still them.
1117  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Inoue vs Tapales for Unified Super Bantamweight Title - November on: July 26, 2023, 08:15:09 PM
I don't think Tapales has the speed to match Inoue. Looking at those names he'd beaten, I can't see anyone familiar. But I saw him after Inoue -Fulton fight, he was asking for it which Inoue also said they gonna be fighting before 2024. Inoue is stashing a lot of money.

Speed is one, but then Tapales will have to contend about the power too of Inoue. He witnessed how he just go and steam roll Stephen Fulton into a knockout win. Fulton has a good chin and defense, but for a split second that he put his arms down, it's over as Inoue was able to see that small hole and punch it.

I can see another KO. If Fulton didn't make it, so will Tapaless. I checked some of his fights on youtube, he is a small tough fighter though. I guess he is up to making money as well regardless of the result.

I would agree, maybe it might take less than 8 rounds for Inoue to knockout Tapales. And it's hard to imagine on how a boxer is going to defeat Inoue. Maybe he should be taller than Inoue has a good chin and a speed that can match Inoue and of course the timing to counter as well and I doubt that Tapales has that tools in his arsenal.

Tapales I think has a good balance that's one tool. They did that verbal arrangement in less than 5 minutes. Having an interpreter in the interview makes it easy for these fighters to just give it a go. Inoue also proves that he will fight whoever comes his way. This is a lot braver than those pickers. Only a few boxers do this.

4 divisions is already an achievement for a boxer of his size. I wonder if he could often get out of Japan to fight more with audiences who are not so friendly. Like in Tapales country.
1118  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Between futures trading and gambling on: July 26, 2023, 05:30:22 PM
Both are equally risky, but gambling is riskier because we can feel the pleasure of gambling, making us forget to control our gambling. And in the end, we only know that it turns out that we have lost all the money with nothing left. The risk of future trading is also the risk of making our money disappear, especially if we don't use the stop loss feature and choose Cross mode, which will use all of our balance to trade. But if you use Isolated mode, you will not lose all the money.
That is very clear and simple, all fields will have their own risks, and the two fields referred to here are gambling and trading in my opinion both have a very similar risk impact where psychological and mental will be the main targets that someone can feel. As for gambling, I agree with you that the level of risk in it is very high if you are too excessive in it. The self-control factor is very important in both areas, but there is indeed a slight difference in that the self-control factor in trading as you mentioned, requires one to have risk management, including stopping loss, take profit, maintaining psychological calm and other management to prevent us from what is called MC. Furthermore, in gambling, there is no risk management as I mentioned above, but from a psychological point of view, it is still very much needed here, where control in gambling is only needed when you experience defeat.
Agree that both are risky but I still think luck gambling results cannot be controlled but futures trading to an extent can be controlled. If you do the proper research and analyze the data you can predict the outcome. It is somewhat like sports betting, although the outcome will be always in your favour is not guaranteed. Whereas luck gambling is completely controlled by the house.
Between gambling and future trading I can say that future trading is more risky. In fact, I am speaking from my own perceptive and that is on Sports Betting and not any other type of gambling. What happens in both future trading and Sports Betting prediction is that you must have knowledge of the subject matter.

In terms of future trading, predicting the movement of the coin requires the knowledge of the charts but in Sports Betting good knowledge of the league and the particular teams that are playing including the availability of players will give you a clear hint of who to win the match but it is the choice of odds and the confusion set by bookmakers that makes people lose money.

Sports betting and futures trading indeed require skills to foresee what might happen. But then most of those traders in the forum I think are switching to gambling like sports betting because the market in crypto is a lot harder to predict than sports like soccer or boxing.

I can read charts somehow but the because the market is just moving sideways, like the moment you go long the market starts dumping. It kind of betting against your position. I guess the whales just need to keep the market uninteresting until halving.
