161  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Spot Crypto vs. Forex: Choosing Your Path to Prosperity on: February 16, 2024, 06:25:49 PM
       -   I think that spot crypto and forex are the same and can generate profit, but of course, if you have deep knowledge, that should be your first priority so you can balance them. However, if you have the same knowledge, you can also join, as long as you can handle it.

Forex and crypto trading are really potential sources of income. But you should know that our progress in life still depends on the knowledge we have and the decisions we make.

Spot crypto is like the stock market while Forex is like the crypto futures market. OP drifts just everywhere confused between stock vs forex. Warren Buffet is into stock market.

If a trader just wants to invest and wait for the market bull run, crypto spot market is the way, regardless of which coin as long as it ranks above the CMC, it will skyrocket and profit will be right for picking. But beware also of the bear market, because holding those tokens and coins will result in huge losses as well.
162  Economy / Gambling / Re: FORTUNEJACK SHADY/SCAMMY BEHAVIOUR. WATCH OUT GUYS on: February 16, 2024, 05:39:44 PM
Did they really ask you to provide source of income document?
As what I can read, there is "or" which means that you can choose between identity verification or source of income.
You are not being scammed here, you can say that you are being scammed if they did not release your money after you complete the KYC process.
It is now on your own hands, you can follow the terms or you can just simply leave it and let your balance in your FJ's account forever.
The same thing may happen in all casinos where you are playing, KYC is now something common and you have to be ready for it if you still want to play in online casinos.

Anonymity might just be more important for people than submitting either KYC or a source of funds for $50. They didn't even make it at least $1000 before they tried asking KYC.

Of all casinos, I think FJ knows people will not be that trusting in submitting documents to a casino. It's a bit odd for an old casino to act this way and April 1 is 3 months from now. This couldn't be right. But if they are mandated by the regulators, I guess this will also apply to the rest of the casinos even the signature participants I guess will not be able to escape.
163  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Devin Haney vs Ryan Garcia on April 20 on: February 16, 2024, 05:13:46 PM
This bout is hard to predict because both boxers still lots of rooms for improvement and probably they have prepared and train for good combinations to surprise their opponent. If Garcia shows more power in this fight with his lethal punch combined with amazing speed, Haney will have hard time to defend against it and it may lead to his defeat unless he has also prepared some unusual technique to surprise Garcia in the later rounds.

I don't think it's hard to predict, Ryan Garcia is a clear underdog here, Garcia may be good but he has weaknesses, whereas Haney almost perfected his craft, there is a saying that you cannot beat what you can't hit, Haney is one of the boxers that is so hard to hit he had proven it on his matches against Kambosos and Prograis, these two fighters are strong puncher but their punches cannot even land on Haney's cheek.
I see the same scenario against Garcia, Ryan should come out with a better strategy to beat Haney, but Haney is so good at shifting his strategy that this will make big problems for Garcia.

Every Fighter has a weakness but they can overcome that weakness if they will counter it. They must not think that they have a weakness then for sure inside the ring they can make a good fight.  Although Garcia is the underdog here then one thing for sure he will do his very best to protect himself in order to prevent such easy loss. Maybe he can't win but if he try his best and make a good strategy then there's a chance . Divenhaney  is a strong boxer we know that and he has the advantages in this fight so this must be a plus points for him.

Ryan is a stringer fighter IMO. He also has a fast hand, I think we can't rule out him winning this fight if Haney fights him head-to-head. But this isn't the way Haney fights so he is going around Garcia to get a better advantage.

Before the announcement of their fight, Ryan had been going to different interviews on many podcasts, though he wasn't promoting anything it was kind of very timely that he was doing it. And then a day or two the fight was announced. And then the next day, the two made a real drama to promote the fight. Seemed organized.
164  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: A decentralized marketplace for high-value physical assets exchanges. on: February 15, 2024, 03:57:06 PM

It does mean the adoption is already massive if a decentralized marketplace that works like eBay becomes popular with the masses. Since this project is looking for investors, does it mean it will also release its token?  Looks easy to promote if the project is backed by universities. Haven't really seen a popular decentralized marketplace that is almost known by all in the crypto space.

Searching for investors or the private sector is different from academic research, as mentioning the names of universities or future ideas without asking what will benefit the investor and the return on investment will be meaningless.
Explain your idea commercially, market your idea, the required amount, expected return, and hosting for the site so it can be tested and a roadmap for the next 18 months.

I read the white paper and it speaks theoretically and is closer to a questionnaire than a practical implementation of a project.
The date of publication is November 2022, and we are in 2024, and it is imperative to include what you did last year.

This is where the token is for. Investors may get an early bird special.
165  Economy / Gambling / Re: What would you like to ask a crypto casino owner? on: February 15, 2024, 02:50:53 PM
I would assume this is a new casino in crypto. Maybe ask these;
People would like to know whether they are going to last in the business despite the competition. Do they have a 3-5 year plan to run the casino?
How long will he be willing to advertise the casino to stay ahead in the competition?

Probably we can learn how determined the owner is to keep the casino running.
166  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are there any reliable binary options sites these days? on: February 14, 2024, 04:12:30 PM
I haven't seen any gambling sites, especially crypto, that have binary options and offer them to customers for long time.
Last time I heard bad sentiments from some people stated that binary options were indeed profitable but also very disappointing.
As to what kind of disappointment or harm I don't understand because so far I have never tried it, some people think this is just like trading but some people also think this is like gambling because we are given choices and guess.
From the bad sentiments that I have experienced, it is that there is fraud or manipulation that occurs and from everything I have heard, everything is the same as what is being said.

Currently, whether it still exists or not, I haven't found it recently and I don't think it can be found on the Bitcointalk forum either, maybe I wrong but I haven't seen it exist myself.

Like any other casinos, there are binary trading platforms that require depositing of funds which the platform will not allow withdrawing or has a high minimum withdrawal threshold. I think the people back in the time when binary trading was popular in crypto are used to just using the wallet to bet and automatically send the profit to the wallet back again.

Users above suggested RollBit if you just read the above posts. Seem a fair casino to play with which can choose the Time Frame which is the issue of other platforms where users can't choose. It's a good game to practice trading.
167  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Beterbiev vs. Bivol - Undisputed Light Heavyweight Championship on: February 14, 2024, 02:47:14 PM
Yes, it's just that this fighters or the weight class is not known. But being Russians or at least Eastern European, their reputation in boxing precedes them. So this two Warriors even though come from the same country will try to get their heads off for sure.
And from what I research, we haven't had a unified LHW in the 4 belt era.
So this is going to be first and so they are also chasing history here. Last year we have Crawford 2x and then Inoue followed him as well in bantam and super bantamweight.

That'll be great for us to witness since it is the first time it happened in the history of boxing. I hope it won't be cancelled due to injuries like what happened to Fury but judging from these two serious fighters, they are not playing with their fight and they are serious about it since this is a unifying championship bout. It would be the hardest fight for both boxers since they are the end game of their era and I don't think there are others out there in their weight division capable of surviving the twelve rounds against these guys.

They are both capable of surviving boring 12 rounds both of them can also throw massive pressure on each other this is why some bettors are not confident in picking which one. But once Beterbev hurts Bivol, he'll finish him til Bivol lies on the ground. Beterbev is the finisher.

That's how the fight might go but if Bivol can outlast the pressure to tire Beterbev, it could also be his win because he has a great defense and footwork.

168  Economy / Economics / Re: Surviving the economy with creative thinking. on: February 14, 2024, 02:13:58 PM
I just have a couple of doubts.
OP what do you mean by "surviving the economy"?
above all, being creative are we sure that it can "feed" in all situations? but moreover what is a creative thinking applied nowadays.
If you can't pay your bill....

If creative thinking can make money, that would be best to do. When there are no companies that hire anyone anymore I guess being creative means you can still make money despite everyone seeking jobs being your competitors.

I have a plan to survive just this economy by becoming a fisherman myself lol This can be creative for me. Surviving in this economy is really hard now, AIs are going to take over everyone's job. There's got to be something that AIs can't do.
169  Economy / Economics / Re: Is increase in minimum wage a good method to fight inflation? on: February 13, 2024, 03:55:12 PM

This is the kind of solution that will also make the businesses crumble to the ground. Businesses also will need to profit and if the government forces them to just increase the salary of their employees, they will lay off some people to lessen the people they will have to pay.

This will result in a more problem in society where the unemployment rate increases. There are many instances in my country that have this issue, especially in the rural areas where private companies are just removing the store attendant because they only need one who will act as cashier as well.

The businesses are also struggling, this is why some of them are trying to take it on their products, like the shrinkflation as a result of it.
170  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How can a betting shop be so dubious like this on: February 13, 2024, 03:11:45 PM
The problem with this kind of betting is that such client would have trust on the betting agent and would not collect their betting ticket and so that will make it more difficult to prove because the client will only rely on words of mouth and not document like the betting ticket. He might have been playing through that way and winning little money but this time is huge and those agent want to connive to scam him.

We have to be careful with some agents that we play through because things are difficult and a greedy agent might want to take such advantage. Moreover, some agents may not bet the game believing that it won't win.

And then it's going to be his words against the attendant's word in the end.  How can people be so bold to do this in our time, aren't there cameras everywhere already that its documented that the attendant received the ticket?  Lukman also is like the most naive man while also a gambler, hard to fathom this combination.

And worse is that the suspects bailed and they could just disappear into the wilderness and then the winner is left with nothing and still has to pay the lawyer this March 4.
171  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin’s, Altcoin’s Private Keys are all Compromised. Second proof. on: February 12, 2024, 04:38:05 PM
But why do you only point to Alamy, there are lots of images that appear in the result. There's facebook, X, github, and Pinterest and there's even tiktok. Does it mean those keys are also on those websites?

I doubt there is truth to this post. I have kept my private key somewhere safe, I created a wallet that has never been used but only deposit transactions I'm sure there will be nothing of public key that is exposed by it. How will the wallet keys be exposed with that security in mind?  This is just something for that meduim page, fud for the crypto holders.
172  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are there any reliable binary options sites these days? on: February 12, 2024, 03:06:09 PM
I saw the change too, just like you. Its not just profits or predictability that are changing in online trade. As government scrutiny grew, many companies had trouble keeping up. Im still looking for a place I can trust.

You might find what you need even in places you wouldnt expect. The Binance could begin. Even though they don't advertise it, their wide range of services may be good for binary options. You should look into what they have to offer. Before you sign up, make sure you understand the rules, risks, and credibility.

Not sure if there is binary trading in binance. But rollbit seems reputable already. And there are lots of users playing with you on that platform I can see players are active. There used to be a popular binary trading site here but it's all gone now.

I see IQoption to be popular but because they are not advertising here, it will be risky for users where you can't complain on the thread. It's still good to see an ANN thread in the forum so that anyone here can see some warnings. That's why i there is one place to go for binary, Rollbit will be the first to start.
173  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Where Do You Want To Go To If You Win $2 million On Lottery on: February 12, 2024, 02:41:35 PM
I chose London. But I'm not sure if $2M is enough to live a comfortable life in that country I'd probably just stay for a month roaming around EU and maybe try going to Saudi and Egypt to crawl under some pyramids and back to my country. Nothing feels like home still.  Living with family is still the best whether I have money or not.

So if you happen to win an equivalent of $2 million in your currency, will you move out of the country, from the article I posted and the poll I created from where country you would like to move to in case you win $2 million, you also have the option to stay in your country and why?
moving to another country can become expensive, I'd rather stay In my country, create a business, invest and try to grow the money I won from the lottery despite the terrible government and shitty economy that we have. I can visit other countries for vacation but moving to them is out of the question(maybe I'll move if I feel that I am financially secure enough to move to another country).

Apart from that it's expensive in other countries, being someone new there means you know no one. This is kinda like isolating yourself. There are countries where you could live like a kind with $2M, its just not going to be safe for you there. Cambodia or Thailand could be cheaper.
174  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Would you quit gambling for a friend? on: February 11, 2024, 04:26:24 PM
The group of friends is somewhat feeling a bit of guilt for contributing to the addiction of their friend, I think I would be willing to do something else just to sway this friend away from gambling as it's not good seeing a friend struggle. It's not such a bad attempt to try providing a solution to make this friend quit for it's becoming serious already.

What sort of just for fun could turn his life into a mess because the group introduces him to it. I'm sure some may disagree about the decision but what good does it do to a friend when he spends his money out of control on this addiction and I mean what are friends for?
175  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Understanding the basics in Bitcoin before investing on: February 11, 2024, 03:15:10 PM

They have to learn that they can buy a fraction of BTC like 0.005BTC, I think this is the most basic and they can send BTC to anyone as long as the wallet destination is also a BTC address to which exchanges also have BTC address where they can deposit. This is the most basic and no blockchain knowledge is needed.

Know when to buy and when to sell. This I think is the only I want a newbie to understand as an investor because it's the only they can make money in investing BTC.
This includes learning when it's the halving and then the bear market will almost be over. Trading BTC is a different topic for a newbie.
176  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is the most underrated sport? on: February 11, 2024, 02:47:07 PM
If it's underrated it also means there may have no enough people who will bet on this sport and the bookies may not also add them to their list. The bookmakers also want to make money from the bettors and if there are only a few people in this sport, they'd be better off concentrating on the sports with a bigger audience.

There are lots of exciting sports actually and fun to watch especially when it's going to be hyped every time. There are so many people watching WWE, if they are to make this a real wrestling, people will actually be betting. Unfortunately, it's just a kid's play. But there was an association that planned to make WWE a real wrestling fight. I hope they will actually do it.
177  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does even freezing a customer's account curb irresponsible gambling? on: February 10, 2024, 03:51:13 PM
your account has been frozen for 3 weeks and the reason why they carried out that measure was because they suspected that you were gambling irresponsibly and decided to take that measure so that you can call yourself back to order,

Casinos can't freeze an account for such reason and rationally it doesn't make sense, its user's responsibility to handle his money, and casinos provide features to exclude themselves if they feel they are over betting and it even exists because of the regulations or casinos would love people who lose their money to them because that is how they can make money for them.

And I really wonder how a casino can decide a person is spending more money than he do.

This thread doesn't even make sense to me.

That makes sense.
If you are gambling irresponsibly, casinos will not mind whatever you do. If you lose a thousand per minute, they just let you be and will even like that you gamble that way. Never heard of casinos freezing your account all because of that.

There is no way they will freeze your account for gambling away your money, but they may freeze it if you are winning a huge amount and try to withdraw them all. They will sort of ask for so many requirements other than government documents but probably source off funds as well.
178  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Watching & betting on cricket matches has bad effects on study on: February 10, 2024, 03:30:49 PM

It's all just priorities. A student should always choose to study and parents shouldn't give their students extra money for their kids unless it's necessary. Extra money for a student means they can do something out of their school.  It may sound harsh but it's a way to keep them on the right path.

Too early for students to bet on games although they may learn this eventually, they shall learn it with the money they earn themselves not from the money given by their parents. Just look at the kid who took his life after losing the money for the school fees, I think all of us read that thread.
179  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Devin Haney and Ryan Garcia April 20 WBC junior welterweight title on: February 10, 2024, 03:07:23 PM
I'm gonna go with Devin Haney for Unanimous Decision, while Garcia has his speed his defence is lacking if he can't knock out Devin Haney in the early rounds he is gonna suffer from it as the fight drags on and lose the fight in the end.

comparing both of their most recent fights, while Ryan Garcia delivered a TKO win, Devin Haney led an impressive and dominating fight against a title holder. it's clear that Devin Haney is at the top of his game.

This is the easiest choice and most likely to happen. I don't think Haney will fight toe to toe with Ryan. Let's say Ryan has to be aggressive, he will not be controlling the fight if Haney just taps him with a jab every time Ryan tries to move in.

It will be a boring fight then as Haney always wants to be in the safest route to defeat an opponent but he is always going to choose to win by points rather than be aggressive as well. But he only can wait for Ryan to make mistakes to make big shots.
180  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: If I bet big I lose, but if I bet small I win on: February 09, 2024, 06:12:01 PM
Guys, do you often feel like me? when I raise the bet I lose and when I lower the bet I win. Does the casino system/algorithm know the betting patterns we make? So often when we bet big we are given a loss and when our bet is small we actually win, which is very annoying

I don't know if this applies to all games or not, but I feel like this often when playing table games. What do you think?

It's not just you who has the experience. Yep I think they are watching you LOL Whenever I tried analyzing a sports match and looking deeper at who could be defeating someone, I lose the bet. But with one roll of the dice which my bet is just $0.50, I win.

It's the same in trading actually. By the time I see the price of the token go up, I scramble to deposit some USD and then buy the tokens and the moment I buy, the price just takes a dip again. It's not a wrong timing that's for sure but the casino and exchanges are conspiring.  Cheesy I hope there is a way to join their club.
