1161  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is it true that this AI is good for trading? on: January 06, 2023, 10:04:49 AM
The developer of this project OP put a huge amount to publish and get a better picture of what they have planned. Of course, if we ask any of the team members about this project they certainly be talking positively and promises which could tempt you to try and use it. That is what we could marketing strategy to attract the interest of the community. But what we are looking for is the aftermath and many questions if this really reliable or just speculation.
But for me, it might be good for those who are still learning but it was not better in the long run as the market trend keep on changing.
1162  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Tank Davis vs. Ryan Garcia betting and discussion (May, 2023) on: January 06, 2023, 07:47:07 AM

And each one says things to himself in his own way:

Hector Garcia says he’ll beat Tank Davis by being “smarter fighter”

That has not to be told, it's already given, I mean you need to be smart in order to win the fight. This isn't his first fight, I'm pretty sure he is using his intelligence everytime he stepped up in the ring. The question here, what if Tank Davis is still smarter than him, then how can he beat Davis?
1163  Other / Off-topic / Re: Mistakes Successful People Never Make Twice on: January 05, 2023, 01:33:11 PM
Making mistakes in life is normal we encounter in everyday life. However, very few people are able to realize and learn from these mistakes. And a mistake sometimes gets us into a problem. and trying to solve the problem and find a solution is a valuable lesson in life. which we will not encounter from a lesson that is only theoretical. We must not be afraid to try again. fix errors, find solutions to each problem and gain valuable experience and try again until it works. Only in this way can we achieve success. and successful people make many mistakes and failures before they are successful. but he did not give up and continued to learn and learn. he evaluates every step taken, he looks for a solution to every problem, and if there is still an error then he reviews the steps taken again and finds out the reasons that led to the error. that's a successful person.
Indeed, we can see we become successful in one thing if we surpass all the obstacles and difficulties we face along the journey, and then grow up and matured. Honestly, a person who is always afraid to commit mistakes will never go far because perfection is not the solution nor it helps us a lot but this will loss of self-confidence and immaturity.
We fall and we rise...if inside our mind is negative, I'm sure we can never see the positive one and close the door for our improvement.

Just how bad is the bear market right now?
Historically low prices have endured for a longer period of time in the present bear market cycle than in any other.
It was really bad for those who think that bear season is a losing season but for those who take a look on the opposite side, they consider this as an opportunity. I was not hesitant to see the situation again (and again) but never I seen the market that worse. We only make ourselves bothered too much by the FUDs around and then drive us to think negatively. Panic and emotions - I couldn't really imagine a person would think positively if they already lived to such things.
1165  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: January 05, 2023, 12:20:05 PM
If intentionally done and the wild social media attacks take place it will mean of their job, I see your point about that and maybe refs are already aware though we can't tell if they can take that risk, most probably if the money that is being offer is really enticing and can't be ignored, those refs can take it and deal with it.

Even they are risking their job, they are willing to take that to have an instant bulk of money in their paycheck.

With the nature of their job, I think they won't hesitate to take the offer behind the curtain as long as they see some advantage for them the offer. That's why even the Refs are paid to let the other fighter win, we cannot really see how they perform their tricks but we are certain it's there, especially when the fights are close and they find a way to give the other fighter an advantage like for example letting him hit his opponents in the back head which truly has huge damage if constantly done.

I think referee could be as corrupt as the organizations themselves, we have seen some bad calls to the point that it's clear to us that they are biased. Speaking of referee, what do you think of using reply in boxing?

In any case, it's really hard to really have a perfect fight without the referee and the judges messing it up, specially great fights like the Akaho vs Franco recently wherein it was really controversial scoring.

That has become a norm in boxing, don't expect too much, just enjoy the fight, and always believe that sometimes decisions of the refs are not in our favor. Even since in the past, there were allegations already that sports are corrupt, maybe because people are also betting that's why they fix the game to give the bookies huge money, or worst if the fighters themselves would try to sell the fight.
1166  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: January 05, 2023, 11:27:22 AM
Apparently, some of the Bay Area Dragon players voiced out their disappointment in twitter about the officiating of game 3.

Blankley and Powell are summoned by PBA for their comments on officiating. You can read the news in the link below.

https://www.msn.com/en-ph/sports/basketball/bay-area-s-blankley-powell-summoned-by-pba-for-comments-on-officiating/ar-AA15ZpeQ?ocid=msedgntp&cvid=1586c138c5784b59b44029017745da3b

What are your comments about this? I was not able to watch the whole game so I cannot comment on this but would like to hear your thoughts about this.
This is one of the reasons why I've lost interest in PBA and so are others. Unfair calls always happen, not to mention the farm teams. Like, PBA has become a joke. They knew they are losing fans but still, they keep on digging their own grave. Basketball from neighboring countries is getting better while PBA is getting worst. There's no hope for this league. We won't be seeing the glory they had back then.
Even some PBA fans does not like some calls, well, obviously, PBA does not want the Bay Area Dragon to win the series because that will destroy their prime. Therefore, we should be smart when it comes to betting on this series, Ginebra should be the right call all the time, if you lose, just double it.
1167  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How Are You Preparing For 2023? on: January 04, 2023, 09:48:16 PM
HOLD - that seems the best way to do it during this time OP. I didn't see that 2023 is a good year for crypto nor I was expecting big this year. Accumulation may be going to continue but we should be on the limitation. My bag is already filled with altcoins and I guess it is enough. All I gonna do now is wait for the next bull season.
I'd never keep watching the market chart, I don't like to create tension because I don't want to get influenced by the chart and the negative news that I heard around.
1168  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will Bitcoin Die or Pump Up in 2023? on: January 04, 2023, 01:57:47 PM
According to Elon Musk, the price of Bitcoin will increase by the end of winter.  And we should not lose hope.  We have to harden our minds.  And everyone needs to hold on to Bitcoin tightly so that it doesn't get traded away from the market.  Whoever has the amount of BTC deposited, rest assured.  And wait, something good will come inshallah.  Inshallah BTC price will increase by mid 2023.  And I believe in Elon Musk's words, so you should continue to believe.  The price will definitely increase.
https://imgur.com/a/XFaaPeI
Elon's words have little impact now compared to before when he is at his peak. Many do not believe what he always says now. It's better if you believe in your knowledge and guts rather than listening to someone. Remember they also have a motive that's why they are saying such things.

It was little to nothing, that is what I see. I couldn't make an investment journey lies on the hand of anyone like him. I invest in Bitcoin because it was decentralized and I believe it grow further in the future. I really don't see Elon Musk giving help to the crypto market, a hyped could not be forever and it will just die. This is why I don't like mentioning the name Elon Musk in crypto, he is nothing in the crypto world. Whatever happens this year whether it will pump or it drops, it is not because of Elon Musk but it is due to the changes in market demand and supply.

Just got home and watched the game, last 5 minutes in the 4th quarter, and the Dragons are leading by just a few points 5.

Time for Ginebra to bounce back, and with the help of the crowd, there's a huge chance that they will win the last quarter and probably win the game as well. Goo luck Ginebra fans and Ginebra bettors, this is our last push.
The crowd is always with the Gins and that's for sure the majority of them are cheering for their victory. Well, the attendance for game 3 is 15,004.

Just an update: 2:03 time left and score 79-79.

I knew it, they came back in the 4th quarter and won big in game 3. Now the series is in favor of Ginebra, it's 2-1. Thanks to the tip shot of Thompson and the clutch 3 point shot of Tenorio. Also, it's sad to see that Nicholson has been injured in the game, looks like it was a serious injury, hopefully he can still play in game 4.
1170  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: January 04, 2023, 11:44:15 AM
4th quarter now and the lead of Bay Area is only down to a single digit.

Time for Ginebra to bounce back, and with the help of the crowd, there's a huge chance that they will win the last quarter and probably win the game as well. Goo luck Ginebra fans and Ginebra bettors, this is our last push.
1171  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Most newbies don't know this on: January 03, 2023, 09:49:50 PM
I just found out that even if you open 100 ETH addresses using Metamask, once your key is been compromised all the 100 ETH addresses are gone, but in case of Trust wallet each addresses has different recovery seed ..

If you don't know this before you should know now, please take note, some people are using Metamask multiple wallet addresses and they don't understand the risk involved.
Even using 100ETH wallet addresses but considering that it was of the same keys/password, hackers will simply get everything they found.
If we have accumulated a huge amount of ETH, it is better not to use a single account to keep them. Spreading them to several accounts helps them to keep safe and it is most preferred to use an offline wallet if we have money for higher security than just online wallets like Trust wallet or Metamask.
1172  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Errol Spence vs Keith Thurman on: January 03, 2023, 11:20:22 AM
LOL.. a few days back, Errol Spence posted this in Twitter:

https://twitter.com/ErrolSpenceJr/status/1608830906516779011

The post only hints that he will be back in the ring by April 2023. But gives no further clue on who will be the challenger and where the fight will take place. Also, the exact date is not given (posted as "April Xx").

And more interestingly, he posted another tweet, in reply to a poll put up by another user on the likely opponent:

https://twitter.com/ErrolSpenceJr/status/1608831449205182474

The results from the poll (3,583 votes till now) are as follows: Thurman- 48%, Crawford- 35.5%, Boots- 9.1%, Stanionis- 7.4%.

So does it mean that Spence is going to fight Thurman now? or he is gauging what the public opinion is and fortunately it was a hit for those who voted because they want Thurman to be his next opponent.

And it seems that they accepted that he won't be fighting Crawford or Ennis next because of the high risk low reward for him.

I guess there's no other fighter that Spence would fight if Thurman is indeed a mandatory challenger. The hype between him and Crawford is already over due to this mandatory fight, and if he bets Thurman, then we might start building that hype again and hopefully they will make it happen.

Quote
So hopefully he has finalized his decision to fight Thurman this April.
We will surely hear the confirmation this month or next month if that fight is on April this year.
1173  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: January 02, 2023, 11:40:15 AM
Everyone was expecting Giannis to play, but he didn't play last night. That's why they lost the game and everyone's bet lost.
If I had known, I wouldn't have played.
Only my Memphis bet won.
Sometimes it's nice to put our bet during game time, this kind of bad news is inevitable, so that will make our bet useless as we will likely lose. On the other hand, it could also be on our favor if the star player of the opposing team will not play, so it's just a gamble, but if you don't wanna gamble like this, better wait until game time.

I don't think there are many teams against which Bucks will be considered as a -4.5 when Giannis, Middleton and even their biggest facilitator in Jrue Holiday are not playing, I think the bookies played us perfectly into this trap, so it's just one of those where the bookies have the edge of bettor because of one information or the other.
We put our bet early, we cannot anymore cashout our bet because the amount will also reduce. Next time we have to be careful especially if we are betting a decent amount on a certain game, looking at the injury report is necessary. The last time I check on that game, Giannis was questionable, but maybe bettors think he would play.

Going forward, there are tons of games to pick from today, starting with New York Knicks vs Phoenix Suns in an early tip off.

That's too early in my timezone, if I would put a bet now, I might miss some information like what happen with the Bucks. Anyway, I guess I'll be rooting on the home team since Booker is still unavailable.
1174  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: January 02, 2023, 11:06:33 AM
There could be, but the scoring at least should be correct in the first place as reversing the decision doesn't look good for the sports. That why they are judges, they are train and if I'm not mistaken, paid to do their job right. But if they continue to made mistakes after mistakes then they should look for another job.
That's where the petition probably starts. When the loser boxer don't want to accept the decision and thinks that there's an anomaly regards to the unanimous decision and as per as scoring.

Honestly, this is a childish petition if ever there are boxers like that. They have to respect what has given to them based on the score cards that's presented.

If that's the main reason why many don't like the judges anymore then there shouldn't be judge anymore but, that's it. They're trusted to do their job.

It's childish if the public sees that the decision was fair, here, the public sees there's something wrong with the decision and the judges were favoring the home fighter despite the fact that he was very well dominated in the fight. This will destroy the sports of boxing, and the reputation of the country that have hosted the fight.
1175  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin isn't dying, it's alive. on: December 30, 2022, 11:50:14 AM
Until now the price of bitcoin and altcoins is at its lowest point and we do not know when this will end, all investors are under great pressure and some of them have given up on the current situation, but believe me everything will return to normal and the market recovery will return to happen then never panic because the situation as we have often faced in the past year, never let go of our investment when we are experiencing losses we still have to survive because there are big surprises that we will feel in the coming year, now we have to find a way so that all the losses we feel can get bigger profits again.
We can't call the market in a normal situation if the price is high, a dump can be considered as well knowing the fact that the market is volatile. We are still in the normal condition of the market, we have two market cycles - bearish and bullish market. If we understand the nature of the market, we gonna be aware also that not all the time we are in a bullish trend, drops are really possible. That is why we can never say Bitcoin is dying, it was just a correction and it turn high again someday.
1176  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Should you avoid anything funded by Alameda Research / FTX ? on: December 30, 2022, 11:12:52 AM
Solana was once been called another strong coin in the market before the issue come out but as people know their connection to Alameda, investors are moving out and rejecting this coin. Solana is declining, people can't afford to take risks if they know the possibility of losing their money is too high. There are a lot of projects that are safe and free from the influence of this huge group in Alameda, better we choose them to avoid losses and also to have peace of mind thinking about our investment.
1177  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: December 30, 2022, 08:07:44 AM

I had a bit of money on the Memphis Grizzlies -3.5 against Toronto Raptors, although I was skeptical about the bet with Memphis Grizzlies not being very convincing in the last 5 games, where they lost 4 of them, but they were a very different team tonight and Ja Morant doing almost all the damage despite being not among the top 3 scorers, however his career-high 17 assists came in very handy.

You are lucky you were able to bet on the right side, sometimes when we are a bit doubtful, that's when winning comes easily. Congratulations man. About my experience last night,  it was bad because I bet on the underdog, the Rockets,  thinking they'll cover as sometimes they also pull a big surprise like even beating top 3 teams in the NBA,  but that game they weren't competitive, they let the Mavericks masaccred them.
1178  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading With Borrowed Funds!!! on: December 29, 2022, 09:25:38 PM

Some might really that just too confident with their skills and believing that they could able to repay up some borrowed funds or loan if they would tend to make it use on trading.I dont know on where they do get that kind of confidence and consideration when it comes into their trading activity. Its never been recommendable nor really that suggested on using up loan amounts on doing trades.Instead that you would make
up some money or profits, you would really rather lose up if you dont trade up well plus  the market isnt something that could really be predictable which means outcomes or results could really neither
be positive or negative and no one really knows on how it would be ending up.
If you have multiple sources of income, this is not impossible but if we just rely on the results of our trades, I couldn't really think about it. Might borrowing a small amount for trading is not really a bad decision but if we talk about a huge amount, that seems not to encourage as we can't be sure about the future of our trading journey. It is really the best option to make use of our own money for doing this just to avoid hitting another problem. We'd better-playing safe in trading otherwise, we regret our decision later.
1179  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Tank Davis vs. Ryan Garcia betting and discussion (May, 2023) on: December 29, 2022, 01:56:45 PM
To those of you who criticize the fight cancellation vs. Gesta.

Ryan Garcia has made the correct decision, I reckon. If he was to continue the fight against Gesta and also has to have some of his attention on the superfight against Tank Davis on May, this will certainly be more added pressure that he does not need. Would fans still want King Ry vs. Tank if Ryan Garcia does not give a good performance against Gesta? What if he lost vs. Gesta? There is also risk of injury.

These are risks that Ryan should avoid. Similar argument to Tank also, he should cancel his fight against Hector Luis Garcia. He might injure his left hand again.

I don't criticize his decision as I believe it will only result to a mismatch fight.

Garcia should focus on his big fight and that's why he is doing right now, if Davis will have a tuneup fight, that's his decision but I'm pretty sure he will not be at risk of losing that fight because their fight against Garcia is already destine to happen.

Even if that fight would occur, Ryan Garcia would still win the fight, and people would not get excited since Gesta is not a champion, they will think that it's a tuneup fight where there's an obvious winner. His decision to cancel to fully prepare himself to Tank Davis is the best decision he made, why? because he needs to be fully focus in order to beat Tank Davis who's a real champion.
1180  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: December 29, 2022, 01:32:20 PM
Off-night performance by the Barangays but I like how Justin Brownlee is keeping up the spirit. Unfortunately, not enough to influence his teammates to push more. Besides, their fans should just move on as Bay Area Dragons is a tough team and no doubt, they are really strong against almost the entire teams in the PBA. Dragons always adjust every time they lose and next game, I expect Ginebra to do the same.

Don't like to see a game where a big lead always happened. I want to see several exchanges of lead, especially in the last quarter where everyone watching will be put on silent mode as no chance of seeing who will win at the end.

It's Ginebra's turned to adjust now, Bay area manage to find a way to work with how to break the tight defense of Ginebra the outside shooting also improves which gives the Gin kings the hard time, though I also see some lapses with the Ginebra's offense they are not effective very different from how they show up last game 1.

I like to see the new system from coach Tim. Bay area's strategy works in game 2 so it's time for new sets of gameplay and a good execution from both coach Tim and all the players.

Both teams had already laid their cards on the table, game 3 not be a one-sided game like game 1 and game 2. Coach Tim had accepted that they were outplayed, that said, I believe he will make a big adjustment in order to win and take the lead again.
But if you look at how the Bay Area defeated the Ginebra, they seemed to have no answer on the tight defense of the Bay Area. Brownlee can be defended as Bay Area has lots of tall players, but Nicholson is just too much, he can dominate inside and I think they will use the same strategy again.

Japeth and C. Stand were the missing link that game, they should own the inside.

The total crowd in game 2 was 16k according to the commentator, that's a huge crowd, and yet Bay Area remained focus all throughout the game.

That's huge, it's because they had Ginebra, if it was the other team, it will not be that big.
