1181  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BlackRock applies again on: July 17, 2023, 06:23:21 AM
I do not see it appropriate to link between the rejection or acceptance of the BlackRock application and Halving Bitcoin, because in my opinion Bitcoin has overcome this effect as we have seen how the price recovered after the recent drop at a record speed.

Halving has a significant positive effect on the Bitcoin price regardless of whether the BlackRock application is rejected or accepted, but the positive effect is probably much greater if it is approved.

As for a plan by America to attack the cryptocurrency industry, this already exists, but it failed every time and will fail this time as well. Bitcoin has become more powerful and reliable.

Although halving is yet a year away, this ETF is probably the awaited part where the price of BTC will go up to $35k. If ETF approves this year + the halving a very good combination for the super bull run that will shoot to more than $120K.

US attack on cryptocurrency is probably just a gimmick like podcasters saying it. The were speculating it already because BRICS countries are backing their new currency with gold and the US will be on crypto. Blackrock is Wallstreet = US.
1182  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The fight between Mark Zuckerberg and Elon Musk. Who you betting on? on: July 17, 2023, 05:04:08 AM
Unfortunately we are not going to end up watching a great fight if we are questioning the quality of the fight, of course both of them are not good at all, they are low level in any regular UFC situation. However, when you consider that these are the richest people in the world, suddenly it becomes view worthy, not because of their talent, but because they are rich.

People who keep trying to say that one is better than the other by showing some fake belts or trainings, people who fight in these fights usually grew up learning how to fight, they spent a decade or more training, so believe me when I say this, they wouldn't last a single round with a real fighter, either of them. We are just going to see two bad fighters, and see which one is even worse.

And that I can believe. Give them a round of fight and they both get the fatigue of a lifetime. They'd gonna watch it over and over on youtube their entire life regretting they agree to such a fight. These 2 billionaires do have advisors, they may appear to be making this hype but they are not into it. Elon was just even trolling yet Twitter was all serious about his walrus special combo.   Grin

If they have a serious fight this is what will happen.
1183  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling effects on LGBTQ+ People on: July 17, 2023, 04:25:34 AM

I disagree though, let me quote from the article,

Quote
According to Dr Bush-Evans, “life stressors” such as discrimination, social isolation and harassment can serve as triggers to push some LGBTQ+ individuals to gambling. The research is still ongoing. The results from the completed study are expected to be published later this year.

I doubt that what triggers LGBTQ to gambling has nothing to do with harassment, for me just like the rest of us. They want to enjoy and have fun and to some extend  win some money just like the rest of us.

Just last night I went to a traditional base gambling and saw some members of the LGBTGQ community and just simply playing, simply as that. I doubt that they are there because they feel isolated or something. In fact they are all laughing and I even saw them getting drunk and no one cares.

Well, I may quote another text from the article which clearly states that LGBTQ+ people face harassment in their life and casino is not different place where they do not face the same situation.

Quote
The study flagged that 71% of the interviewed LGBTQ+ adults admitted that they have experienced some form of discrimination or harassment in their life.

The complete case study and research will be published later this year and that report may reveal more shocking facts about this behavior by the society as a whole. I wish they come up with something to stop this act of people towards LGBTQ and treat them as a normal human being.

The only reason why they are harassed is because they are the first to approach men who don't like sleeping with them. But generally, people don't mind whatever they do they have rights just as any other man. If they gamble in casinos, no one minds as long as it's their own money they spend.

I can only assume this article is from a woke revisionist as they were always been this way as if they are the oppressed community. It changes everything, now people are so much afraid of talking about them for fear they might be offended.

1184  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How do you stop gambling (sports betting, casino e.t.c)? on: July 16, 2023, 05:22:55 PM
Some activities which come to mind include playing some sport, drawing or even playing video games.

Though, I would be extra careful with video games nowadays, since many of them include mechanics which are very similar to gambling and encourage the player to spend real money in order to partake on them.
Playing video games is not always effective in overcoming gambling addiction depending on individual personality, some adventurous or war video games might help fill the time to avoid gambling activities without buying any items from the game.

For me the main solution to disappearing gambling is that he has committed not to gamble anymore and avoids the gambling environment or keeps his distance from his gambling friends, he has to find a new environment to forget his past and has to have more activities outside to hang out with friends. He must change his mindset to appreciate the income from hard work not to be wasted on gambling, but apply his financial management to family needs and financial needs for your future.

When a person has yet no family of his own, his gambling addiction might just change if he got a wife and kids to feed which he will be responsible enough to take care of and will not gamble anymore. But if the man already has his own family but turns out to be addicted to gambling making the family dysfunctional, it really can be hard to treat for he had already doomed the family.

One way to stop and save these men is to jail them. A considerable amount of jail time makes a person realize their mistake.
1185  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin has already campaign for itself on: July 16, 2023, 03:34:25 PM
I also believe Bitcoin has campaigned itself ever since BlackRock, Fidelity, VanEck, WidsomTree, Invesco, and other reputable investment companies filed for Spot Bitcoin ETF applications which is something none of these companies would do 3years ago. I also read that the US SEC acknowledges all these companies Spot Bitcoin ETF applications and also currently reviewing the BlackRock application while the former US SEC Chairman said the BTC ETFs should be approved.
All this means BTC have already at the next peak but there's nothing bad in any form of the positive campaign due to the people from the rural setting.

Yep it's one thing that made Bitcoin more popular. A more reason to make someone invest in BTC though is if the bull run is about to begin. If you wanna help someone struggling in this recession time, they best jump right into investing BTC because it will literally save them.

For children, I guess they can learn more in the coming years when BTC is pretty much a household thing. Right now there are still people very reluctant to invest and that's one reason why its also good to campaign still.
1186  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling effects on LGBTQ+ People on: July 16, 2023, 03:03:58 PM
The more important concern for the LGBTQ+ people is that they are being treated differently in a casino which may come under harassment. Also, the study says that people at the casino, the staff plus the public have shown discriminatory behavior towards these people.
I've skimmed the article and couldn't find these words... You know casinos only care about money, they don't care if the customer is LGBTQ+ or whatever, as long as not a cheater.
The points being made are:
- LGBTQ+ people are more likely to experience problem gambling.
- They gamble as one of the coping mechanisms because of harassment.
- They pick online gambling because the real-world casino is too intimidating for them, you know they'll meet a lot of people.

Couldn't agree more. Casinos won't care as long as you can bet your money on, whichever your sex is go inside. This LGBTQ has a wild ride for public discussion as if they were not accepted. People will have no choice but to accept them and it's all okay. People have no time to deal with all these. If they wanna do something, no one is stopping them. They have their own community, they have their rights and there are politicians also a member of their community. If they wanna gamble online, it's up to them also.
1187  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Between futures trading and gambling on: July 16, 2023, 02:44:20 PM
There are many gamblers that can gamble just to have some fun and make money in the process and there are some that focus on gambling only to make money so I would like to ask such people a question.

would you prefer to gamble in a casino and make some money or learn about futures trading and make some money?

Which one do you actually find to be more easier and I believe that futures trading is also capable of giving someone life-changing money but which one do you believe is less risky than the other?

Trading and gambling both are totally different, however, i may highlight the key difference between them.

Gambling requires no skill, you just deposit, bet and win or lose. The same goes for the casino games. Everything depends upon luck. Even a layman can understand gambling without any problem.

However, trading is a skill and future trading is even more difficult. Going into a future trade without a plan may end up losing all your portfolio. You need to understand the basis of the financial markets before you can understand and do the trading.

Some people are simple minded though. If they both can make you money instantly, it's all the same as binary like win or lose. Futures trading to them is like red or green light on the intersection. They don't even need to learn indicators to bet for it will be like predicting whether the next 1 hour candle will green or red. A gambler who can luckily go long and incidentally the price goes up, then it's a win.

If they put it that way then futures trading can be considered gambling.
1188  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🥊 The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: July 16, 2023, 01:16:36 PM

Holm looks worn out even before the fight started. Shes 40, it's a wonder why she still signs 5 fight contract in UFC despite how old she is for this combat sport. Striking is not impressive anymore imo. If Ronda comes back and they face again, it will be Holm on the ground. I guess she was just lucky that time since Ronda just keeps walking straight to her like a punching bag.
1189  Economy / Gambling / Re: Promote Your Gambling Platform for FREE on: July 16, 2023, 07:34:13 AM

Thank you for acknowledging my efforts. The original post served as a formal invitation to businesses within the crypto gambling sector to participate in another crypto economy, thereby promoting crypto adoption. It is crucial to nurture the development of crypto economies to facilitate the widespread acceptance of bitcoin and offer people a viable alternative to traditional fiat currencies. Your support in this endeavor is highly appreciated.

You are good in words but unfortunately lack the proper configuration of the platform to make your platform worth being a part of, why not buy your own domain and create your own forum it is free if you have a Cpanel, Namecheap can give you a Cpanel where you can create your own forum for as low as $1.98/mo
https://www.namecheap.com/hosting/shared/ why settle for a subdomain, there's a lot of disadvantages being a subdomain, they can delete your board anytime or they will force you to upgrade.

I second this. Subdomain doesn't rank up on the search results to any search engine. There are gamblers' forum way more active than that subdomain forum, OP has to start again, I think he can move the forum with the help of boards.net also, which offer that service.

There are lots of ways to make a forum busy, web administrators even pay users per post because this is also hard to make a forum busy with active members. Only a few forums are successful with that. It takes a lot of enthusiastic users with the same interest to gather in one place.
1190  Economy / Gambling / Re: Loophole in stopping Money Laundering through Wagering on: July 16, 2023, 07:16:40 AM
Many casinos now force gamblers to do KYC. So when a gambler's complete details are with the casino, there is not much for that gambler to do. At any time the casino can freeze the funds if they believe the gambler is involved in money laundering.

And this is why one should not gamble in casinos where KYC is mandatory, as this increases the risk of a gambler even if he is not involved in activities such as money laundering.
Once the casino asks for the source of funds and the user can't provide detailed info, that's when the casino is going to really suspect something and freeze the amount.

But I'm not really sure about the wagering requirement that one user has to lose it all. That's a mess up, I would certainly avoid that one even if I deposit a small amount all the time.
Depositing and then playing a bit and then withdrawing the funds seem not a good way to launder, ain't that a very obvious dumb way and the casino will indeed suspect.
This may not really be a way of money laundering, but who knows there may be many players who are doing this. Before I deposit in a casino I think several times whether I can eventually withdraw my funds from this casino without any hassle. Casinos are also getting tougher by the day to catch those who engage in such activities.

Now if a gambler deposits his funds in a bad casino with the intention of money laundering, and if that casino freezes his funds with any excuse, then it becomes a nightmare for that gambler. So I also think this can't be a good way, and if the gambler gambles with his funds for the purpose of mixing then there will still be a risk of losing the funds.

Maybe there are users doing it however it's more risky than doing it with fiat as it's traceable. When coins get into their wallets and are linked to a bank account, it's already identified. If authorities will really check the KYC of the casino, that user will be in trouble. From what I know, launderers mix their dirty money with clean money using a legitimate business with receipts making it cleaner and taxable for the government. They launder money but at the same time pay tax for it.
1191  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: When you feels like only draw is your win on Blackjack on: July 16, 2023, 06:36:44 AM
Not to bash or anything about Evolution, but based on my experience as well playing in their games in the last month or so, Baccarat either live or first person, same with Evolutions live roulette, lightning and person, I have a string of bad luck with them.

To a point that I think their games is really rigged, just like what you have experience. For Baccarat, sometimes I will have a good hand but eventually will lost the best because the dealer will be dealt with a good card. So right now, I just completely stop playing every game that Evolution has. And thanks for confirming, I thought that I just had this string of bad luck with them.

In my case, I’m always experiencing this after having good winnin streak on different day that makes me breakeven in terms of winning percentage but still in lose in terms of PnL because I sometimes extend my budget when losing especially on this streak.

I’m not a player of baccarat and roulette so I can’t share the experience on this game. But on Blackjack, It’s really easy to doubt on the dealers hand since you have no choice to choose side between banker and player.

In conclusion, player should stop playing immediately once this streak occur and try to play again on the other day so that our mind will be fresh for our decision making to be clear. I’m waiting on others experience on this same matter. I’m curious if many here witness this kind of madness.

Have you tried another game instead? It always feels like it's rigged for you to lose when it constantly happens. Once you got the winning streaks, you then can expect a losing streak as well in Blackjack. But try another game like Baccarat before the losing streak happens and see if you got that losing streak. And if you do then consider the conclusion that it's really rigged so they can take back the money you won. Don't wait til they got everything from your account though.
1192  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The fight between Mark Zuckerberg and Elon Musk. Who you betting on? on: July 16, 2023, 06:20:16 AM
Looking at the training pics of Zuck, I can’t look further than him now. My guy is looking good, we have to remember though, Elon is one of if not the smartest dude alive. Surely he will have a trick or two up his sleeve. The fight will be entertaining though, that’s for sure. I just hope it does happen.
Mark is making us feel like the match between him and Elon Musk is real and we should anticipate it as soonest while it not so. Having him work on himself makes me like him more for him to take up training to build his physique at this time when the attention of everyone is on him to see how prepared he is to fight Elon Musk.

With how Mark has built on his physical appearance to fight Elon Musk, Elon Musk won't have an easy match to start with, no matter how trick moves he comes up with to defeat Mark

@JoyMarsha Elon may pull a GOT trick and nominate a warrior on his behalf because if he gets into that ring with Mark he ain’t stepping out whole and thus I hope that they don’t ever get into a ring. Furthermore I got to give it to these two for hyping it up and in the end they could do what Vince and Trump did few year’s back nominate a wrestler and place a condition eg Vince had to get his hair shaved cause he lost.

That's what they might just do instead, their own champ to fight on their behalf.

The hype is working though, With all the pictures of Mark training with Izzy and Volk it already feels like there is a schedule to happen while the media is also reporting this planned bout. But every night before they sleep, they come to their senses with the right judgment about the fight and would rather be filing lawsuits than settling in the cage.
1193  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tyson Fury vs Francis Ngannou Boxing October 28 on: July 15, 2023, 10:01:21 PM
~
I personally would want to see an underdog story especially if the challenger is worth it, just like this one because Ngannou is not a push over.
We all probably seen those stories if you're around in the 80s - 90s era where there are challengers surfacing who would want to take their chance.
You are mentioning the underdog story of a boxer making a huge upset, Francis Ngannou is making his boxing debut. In MMA he is a force to recon as he has huge power, if you check out all his knockouts in MMA you will understand why he will not replicate the same in boxing especially against someone elite like Tyson Fury, who could read the punch coming from a mile Grin.

~
$600k is embarrassingly low amount for a heavyweight champion fighting for the most recognizable brand in combat sports. I knew the UFC underpaid its top fighters but that is just shocking to hear that his purse was so low.
He made a million plus in that fight, $600k was the guaranteed purse and not his overall money he made in that fight.

~
Fury is a boxer who wants to be mentioned in years to come alongside true boxing heavyweight legends. For that he will have to fight the very best of his own era and generation one after another successfully defending his titles. If that does not happen Fury will not be held in high enough esteem to be mentioned alongside legends such as George Foreman, Lennox Lewis, Mike Tyson and the great Ali.
Tyson Fury is considered as the best boxer in the modern era and he is considered as a legend of the sport, going to Germany to face the undefeated Wladimir Klitschko as a heavy underdog and winning the belt, then going through depression and drug addiction and even trying to kill himself and gaining over 400 pounds and then making a return, going to US and facing Deontay Wilder who everyone considers the best knockout boxer in history as an underdog and winning and he is still undefeated and no other boxer you mentioned in history can claim that other than Rocky Marciano Wink.

The same speculation was done in Conor vs Floyd fight, many of those guys are not expecting Conor to win and they were right about it. But Conor did throw some good shots at Floyd which they thought he can't hit Floyd. If Ngannou can also replicate a KO punch he did on UFC fighters, he might be able to do damage. The question is if it can KO Fury, It's highly unlikely but Wilder did it, it's just one tiny chance and that kind of Wilder chance is what Ngannou needs to win the fight.

Fury does a lot of head movement and the gloves in boxing might give a problem to Ngannou as it's heavier which takes a lot of getting used to.

1195  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling is more important for crypto users? on: July 15, 2023, 08:58:37 PM
Can you explain me why i need to learned gambling?
I don’t know if anyone have forced you to learn gambling before? I see no reason why you have to learn gambling, gambling is a choice and if you know you can’t control yourself, then it’s better you stay away from gambling, because if you can’t control yourself, it’s likely you get addicted and that’s the problem most gamblers are having currently, if you know you can control yourself, then their is nothing wrong in gambling and I don’t know how you are going to learn gambling, because when I started gambling nobody taught me how to gamble, so I don’t know how ur own will look like. I haven’t seen any PDF on how to gamble before, you have to learn how to gamble yourself, and if you have a friend that’s a gambler, then ask him to put you through.

He sure isn't a gambler and most probably won't initiate. Some people are just not into gambling. It has to have a cause before he will try it. First-timers usually try the luck base games like dice because it doesn't need special skills to participate. If he wants to learn, this is probably his first attempt and he will figure the rest in trying more until he discovers which game he can potentially make money on as his strategy develops.
1196  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: This is not Practical on: July 15, 2023, 08:08:39 PM
My understanding here is that, you are being taught to be more responsible and warn you that gambling can be very risky so spending your important money here is not ideal. That’s why many are saying gamble with your extra money only, that means you will not be broke if you lose that money since its an extra. This is a practical advice from the gamblers who already knew the effect of gambling, don’t ever try to borrow and gamble, its more risky.

The advice is good to follow but there is something called odds that if you bet only a small amount, you could also make pennies. This is basically sports betting. You can just bet $10 to make $5 if you are okay with it.

But that's not really satisfying after some time. Over time you will need to make sure you can make a fair amount in one game and there will be no allocation when you think of bigger profits. Not practical but when you feel confident with your bets, thats what will happen.
1197  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: It's on! 2024 US Presidential Election Biden+Harris Vs Trump Bitcoin betting.... on: July 15, 2023, 07:30:25 PM
Considering Kennedy is an anti-vaxxer, I really really hope that he will not be allowed to speak. I mean I do not want him to be nominated of course, but not only not nominated, I also do not want him to speak because he would have a place to voice his anti-vaxx approach to everyone.

There has been millions dead because of the pandemic and the only reason we are much better to go outside nowadays is thanks to hard work of the scientists that provided us with the vaccination, otherwise there would be a lot more millions dead and a long long time we can't go out as well, and all this work to be considered BS by someone who do not have any science degree at all, just a lawyer. I am sorry but if USA elects such a guy, there is no hope for the future at all.

Ironically, Trump's management of the topic of the vaccine has been strange: on one hand he likes to brag on how quickly the vaccine was developed under his administration and the fact he endorsed the vaccination, however, he is not stupid; he is aware much of his voting base is against vaccination and they believe vaccines are literal poison or the mark of the beast, ect.

I have noticed he prefers to avoid the topic, using whatever talking point is going on the news about his political opponents, it could be the alleged bribe Biden accepted or the coke found on the White House, anything but the contradictions he does not want to face in front of a camera.

Kennedy is not in the game. He is just going to divide the votes of Biden, if anything he will decide not to run in the end.

Of all the issues coming out since Biden, vax may be one of the things that are to be exposed to nail his campaign. It's a touchy subject but there are lots more to talk about in getting more votes for Trump than vax issue. The age and mental state alone of Biden is not gonna make him win that's for sure those are the best talking point for Trump.
1198  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tyson Fury vs Francis Ngannou Boxing October 28 on: July 15, 2023, 07:16:05 PM
The exhibition fight is taking place in Saudi Arabia and up until now the undercard has yet to be decided and announced. Why is Fury doing this? What is the mindset behind the action apart from the obvious money aspect.

I think he does not need to fight Joshua to prove anything but after beating Wilder he really needs to fight Usyk in order to unify the belts otherwise he will not be able to cement the legacy he craves.

For Fury, this is a guaranteed win. He knows to himself this is going to be a lopsided bout which means he is surely to win against Ngannou. Not to mention the money he'd get from the fight. Joshua is out of the picture already. There are stories coming out that Fury is avoiding Usyk as well, not sure if it's true but he could just set that fight in the future for now.

Winning against Ngannou is close to an exhibition fight for him but it will be a validation for Tyson to be the baddest mf in the world. That's enough reason for his esteem.

They may be famous outside the crypto community but to most Bitcoiners, they are unknown. As much as we want to bet on boxing bouts, there are just uninteresting exhibition fights like the ones promoted by this Kingpyn.  @YuginKadoya posted this in the other thread https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5370631.msg62532811#msg62532811

The Logans really influenced a lot of YouTubers to also try boxing but this one looks like a reality TV.
1200  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What could make you get into a fight with your fellow gambler? on: July 15, 2023, 09:51:41 AM
I heard of a story about two gamblers that got into a serious fight on the grounds that a bet they merged an amount of money equally to place  using the online account of one person among their two. Luckily for them the bet won. But something happened, when it got to the sharing formula of the total amount won the owner of the account  insisted on taking a lion's share since it was his account that was used in placing the bet. The latter refusing to accept it that way they got into a serious fight. How pathetic!

What could make you get into a fight with your fellow gambler? And would you agree at anytime to double cash with your fellow gambler to place a bet using his account, on the notion of increasing the potential win.
If that should be the case they are not supposed to go into combat because of gambling, if they actually predict same game and stake and they won the game it should have caused a fight because the person that brought the money the higher amount should have taken the larger amount of the money instead of the own of the account, what they lack is undemanding, and basically I may feel that it's good use your private account to stake any game instead of using a friend own

Sharing the accounts or sharing the betting money is always dangerous as people become greedy once they see the money and want to take a larger portion than the other person. Usually we will notice that before the bet, both of the people involved will be best friends, but the money will put serious issues between the best friend's friendship and they could go to any stage in order to get more money than the other. Sometimes money becomes evil for the relations  Sad

I would usually be careful and will not make partners in any thing which involve real money because i know the end of such partnerships, mutual investments is always bad.
It can be dangerous when someone don't have a good understanding but friends that have understanding can not have barter because of disbursements of gambling wining funds, normal money always bring separation between two friends who stake together but before you merge your money to stake bet with your friend, you should have known your friend, and I believe that knowing your friend attitude should be one of the important thing you should know as a friend before joining him or her for a business that involves money

A person who has long experience with friends and money will always choose the lone path. It's never a good way to put your money with them. Betrayal is certain to happen along the way. Even if you are friends since 10. A nuptial agreement was even created for couples because they know things could go south when it comes to money and properties.

Friends never last when it comes to money. Each person has his own priorities and they need money for these priorities eg Family.
