1221  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: December 12, 2022, 09:19:27 AM

Lakers win and the big 3 have some good numbers, but still the Pistons (the worst team in the NBA right now) were able to put the score to as close as 1 point and they almost handed the Lakers an L.

They maybe are the worst team per record but Lakers aren't the best team either. Pistons IMO is a competitive team because they don't lose by a huge margin, in fact, they beat the Heat which is also a good team. The Lakers just used their experience to outsmart the Pistons, but that's not enough against legit playoff teams, so they need to improve a bit.
1222  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Errol Spence vs Keith Thurman on: December 12, 2022, 07:55:16 AM

Although the rumored date is supposedly December 17, this is not going to happen.

They could have agreed that the best scheduled could be next year.

There's no time, they should have confirmed already so they will start having a tour to market the fight. If this fight will be realized, most likely it will happen in the 1st quarter of next year. I heard that it's mandatory, so there's no need to worry, we will eventually witness this fight, but of course there's no assurance when, so we have no choice but to wait for the formal announcement.
1223  Economy / Speculation / Re: My advice to you regarding bear markets. on: December 09, 2022, 12:14:27 PM
Not always in the long run you will make a profit. It is very easy to take losses, which most often happens. For most coins are garbage, which can bring profit in the initial stages, but in the long run will be unprofitable for their investors. This rule that in the long run the coin will be profitable only works for btc. So far. The rest, even like eth, are still in doubt, because it is not known what will happen to this one in a year or two.
People live in doubt because of the volatility of the market. Yes, it was really hard to find a sustainable project where profits keep on flowing because most of the projects now are just good at the beginning but they turn into scams later. Very unfortunate and it cost a lot, the trust is really affected and people easily got worried when hearing about scam issues. That is why it is not surprising that many investors are selling their coins during the bear market, they just look for their security rather than taking more risks upon holding long.
1224  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Reasons why the 95% of future traders lose all of their money on: December 09, 2022, 11:18:20 AM
The biggest reason is "brave ignorance" and that is something greatly troublesome in every part of the world as well about any topic in the world. People who know absolutely nothing about a thing, ends up reading something on twitter or facebook or wherever and thinks that it's fact and true and starts talking about how true it is.

When in reality what they read there is false and not a fact and wrong, which causes them to have amazing courage and confidence on a factually wrong thing. This causes them to bother the public in other things, but on this it causes them to lose a lot of money, because they simply wanted to believe in a thing just to believe it.
Many people believe that reading something on social media gives them an idea. Of course, yes but we should not just be reliant on it instead, we keep learning more and find another source of information. We never have to be confident of what we have learned online as it was more important to apply the learning we got in order to verify if it is true or false.
 - lack of knowledge and less experience are common reasons why traders lost their money

And they have to change the way they think about trading as this is not just simple as people think, it is risky and difficult to analyze.
1225  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: December 09, 2022, 02:26:10 AM
Well, that's the thing, it's a contact sport and Kuminga just acted that way because he felt like the contact was too much. Frustration really does things and sometimes it gets out of hand.
It was a good foul made by Jordan Clarkson and the refs just romanticized it and it's all good not until Kuminga probably said something that made JC in total rage. I'm not sure what he said but it seems that those words flamed JC and made him react that way, maybe as an insult or what.
Anyway, it's great revenge being done by the whole Jazz against Kuminga. They've won in the last few seconds of the game, JC's smiling for sure in the locker.
I think it was not a good foul, he was behind Kuminga and still tried to get the ball, so at that angle, it was a clear foul, he was only penalized for Flagrant foul 2 because he showed his fist as if he is ready to fight. I understand that frustration but he has to realize that to win, being cool is always the best thing to do. For the refs, the actions are more visible than the words, so that alone I'm sure he knows that already.
1226  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: December 09, 2022, 01:53:35 AM
Here is my bet for today:

San Antonio Spurs vs Houston Rockets

The Houston Rockets  (7-17) will face the San Antonio Spurs (6-18) tonight at AT&T Center. The San Antonio Spurs is underdog @2.09 and Houston Rockets @1.78.
Key injuries for Houston Rockets : Kevin Porter Jr (knee), Jae'sean Tate (ankle)
Key injuries for San Antonio Spurs : Keita Bates-Diop (foot), Doug McDermott (ankle), Jakob Poeltl (knee), Josh Richardson (ankle), Jeremy Sochan (quad), Devin Vassell (Knee)

I'm going to tail your pick on the Houston Rockets ML, Kevin Porter Jr is amongst the starting line up, so he would really be vital for them tonight, I would have taken the ML regardless if wasn't going to play because Jalen Green can also surely lift the team without Kevin Porter Jr's availability, so having them on the floor together is even better, while San Antonio Spur still have their worries about the players the can count on available for the game.

With what is happening with the Spurs now, I would do the same since I already have no confidence in the team even if they are hosting the Rockets here. Hopefully it's going to be an entertaining game, so far, the scores are very close so let's see.

Green and Porter Jr. are the young superstar that makes the Rockets exciting to watch, so no reason to bet against them against a weak Spurs team.

Just read though about the incident about the Jazz Clarkson and Warriors Kuminga?

Jordan Clarkson was just frustrated because he got block, he fouled Kuminga but it was a hard foul, not a normal foul anymore that' why he got a flagrant foul 2. But the there's still a good news, Jazz won the game by one point, they steal it from the Warriors.  Grin

here's the video of the incident.

1228  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The goodness of long-term investing in cryptocurrency on: December 08, 2022, 10:01:42 AM
When the market is dropping like now let's think positively, if we look at the price chart that has happened a few years ago then things like this are commonplace, in 2018 the price of ETH once reached more than $ 1000 then dropped to below $ 100 in end of 2018, and I sold all ETH when the price was around $280, now the price of ETH is also dropping and almost similar to a few years ago.
Therefore, we have to be aware of the situation that one day, the market prices will drop, that one day the price of these known coins like BTC and ETH will turn down like before. Yet, we carry the confidence that one day these coins will also turn back high. That is why many people have the courage to hold long-term and that is because they trust crypto and believe that they won't be disappointed. In fact, as you mentioned last 2018, everything is down but looked, the market hits another ATH last year. This means that the market never stays low forever but surely there is recovery.
1229  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Crypto Day Trading on: December 08, 2022, 09:27:36 AM
All you need OP is to open your mind that leverage trading isn't for you. I think you may try spot trading first before moving to higher risks trading like this. Please have in mind that trading doesn't guarantee you winnings or earnings but for sure, losses are what you will get, especially if you have lack of knowledge and skills. Since you already have found out your weakness and mistakes, therefore, you have to address them first and find a solution. Asking someone to accompany you and help you will be good but never push yourselves to leverage trading, otherwise, you will still lose.
1230  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Binance futures Are you full time trader ? on: December 07, 2022, 10:30:20 PM
I am not a full time trader like you. Because I like to hold gems until it's pump hard. Again I think future trading is much risky that's why I don't suggest anyone future trading with high leverage because there have a risk to be liquidated.
You don't need to become a trader like OP if your goal is to just buy, hold, and sell.
In fact, your understanding of Futures trading is right, it was too risky for beginners and not everyone can bear the risk that's why many traders are preferred to stay on spot trading rather than this. It was looking for a venue where we are about to stay comfortable and knowing the nature of Futures trading, only a few will take and try. Expert traders might take it but newbies, they will just lose their money.
1231  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why We People Cannot Think Like Whales 🐋 🐳? on: December 07, 2022, 09:54:07 PM
1) Many Of Small traders always got into the Trap of Whales? Why?

Well, retail investors do not think like whales because the whales have long term vision and most small traders are happy to get little profit. That's the reason in case of a bullish rally the retails usually sell early while whales have their big targets.

In bear times, retail are fearful and do not buy at cheap rates while the whales accumulate in these fearful times. There is a difference in the approach between retail and whales and that is the main reason why whales always win over small investors.
Their buying strategy is too different, they are in the opposite position.
Whales are buying when panic and fear increase while small investors buy during recovery. In that case, whales truly matured when it comes to investment and they can carry high-risk responsibilities pretty much unlike how these small investors do and think. It is all about mindset and market views, whales can perform better because of their long-term targets and they act consistently which we can never see in small investors as more of them are short-term investors and low risk-takers.
1232  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Casimero vs Akaho - December 3 on: December 07, 2022, 06:04:41 AM
That was actually a smart move from Akaho, but yeah he's definitely got hurt by the flurry of strong punches coming from Casimero that rocks Akaho prior to that behind the head punch.
I can't say anything bad about Akaho as we really don't know if how hurt he was though those punches did not hit him directly at the back of his head, but those would definitely hurt. Nevertheless, he used that as an excuse to force a no contest, but he really got hurt with those clean punches.

I don't think it's a smart move, if his intention was to save himself from losing the fight, then I guess it's called cheating, and you can see how people react, instead of favorite Akaho, they are calling him the best actor in a negative way. This is boxing, the purpose of the fight was to entertain us, but are we entertained?
1233  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Naoya Inoue vs Paul Butler - Undisputed Bantamweight Bout - December 13 on: December 07, 2022, 04:43:12 AM

I really don't think there is drama here, everything is very clear, Butler is a boxer who doesn't talk much, Inoue is a very focused boxer, I don't know if he really cares about getting more fame or not, I've always seen him in a very calm and somewhat respectful way, this type of boxer are the ones who have the most discipline and the ones who make the most effort to do their job well, and it is for them that they get all my admiration and well, in addition to this it shows in the ring that does everything well, because Casimero wants to go against him, that's like counting the eggs before they are born, this fight will be very interesting.

There's no drama here because it's a complete mismatch. Although Butler is still a champion but compared to Inoue, I don't see him being a threat to Inoue who always wants to finish the fight early. Butler's power is way below the power of Inoue, and in terms of quickness, Inoue still has the edge. Now, if Butler wants to have a shot, he should be smart and find a strategy to beat Inoue.
1234  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: The patience to hold is a gift on: December 06, 2022, 10:18:45 PM
It's obvious you are not an investor, and mind you, patience to hold might be a gift, but it does not guarantee success. What guarantees success in an investment is the ability to speculate rightly at any point in time, and this speculation might even advise you to liquidate your investment at any time to avoid the coming catastrophe. See, 'it's good to attack and retreat in every war,' this is wisdom which is important to replicate in crypto investment.

That said, investors should define the longevity of their investment, it might be short, medium or long-term, but it doesn't matter, yet speculation is still important to be a guide. This indicates that it's not necessary to be an excessive holder of any asset, including crypto, it only has to do with the investors' goal and the plan to realize the goal.

Conclusively, a good investor should be dynamic in decision-making and act based on the current market reality not minding the ROI to avoid making mistakes.
Precisely, winning success is not just holding but also having good decision-making which most of us have made it too difficult. Like if we are just holding shitcoin, for sure, nothing really good to happen in the end, and makes no sense. Though we can say that holding has some good benefits, however, this will also rely upon on the situation and the coins we hold. Because if we are very certain about holding that it will give us more profit then we gonna expect that everyone will do the same as well. But they never found it working, that's why.
1235  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What should be my fear? on: December 06, 2022, 09:48:48 PM
As a newbie who has a little knowledge of cryptocurrency but much interest in purchasing bitcoin for a long time Hodl, since the purchasing capital is not included in my spendable budget and the price of bitcoin is not very high at the moment 16k, what should be my fear?

Pls, advise me.
What you need OP is to understand first how this Bitcoin works. You can't just invest blindly because it was not the interest that brings you success but also knowledge. Stop your fear, control your emotions, and learn everything about Bitcoin then you are ready to go.

It is very important that you make ready yourselves. Set money intended for this and be sure that amount is okay for you to lose. Yes, the price is low and a good opportunity to buy but never do rush instead, think about it many times.
1236  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Naoya Inoue vs Paul Butler - Undisputed Bantamweight Bout - December 13 on: December 06, 2022, 12:09:07 PM
It feels like this is an easy fight for Inoue and he will gonna win the undisputed championship title with no problem. Will be next week that we will gonna witness once again his outstanding performance. Obviously, this is another knockout for him and Butler seems not to bother with it. He might have prepared something but I don't think it's enough to defeat Inoue. After Casimero's performance, I don't think they will have a chance to fight each other because right now, Inoue is from a different page and it's a page of a true champion. Where Casimero is fighting a loser. Inoue has a bright future and he is adding more trophies to his personal record as a pro boxer.

And because it's an easy fight for Inoue, he will not longer stay in this division once he will win the undisputed championship. With that said, I'm expecting that he will start his journey soon on the higher wait and will face some tougher challengers. Casimero for sure is waiting for him.....

1238  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Casimero vs Akaho - December 3 on: December 05, 2022, 08:12:59 AM

I think there will be no rematch because, according to Nonito Donaire[1], Akaho is already planning to retire after his fight against Casimero.

Good thing he realized that he cannot handle powerful punches anymore, but Donaire is always better than him because although it was clear that he can't carry the punches of Inoue, but still he choose to continue, this guy (AKaho) choose to make excuses and the result was in his favor.
1239  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Technical Analysis and Charting on: December 02, 2022, 09:12:18 AM
At the present time, most of the technical analysis indicators do not work, for example, all moving averages have been broken during the past months, and therefore it has become useless to rely on them as points of support and resistance.
Therefore, publishing such analyzes is more waste of effort than benefit.
Very unfortunate but it is too hard to deal with the volatility of the market. And I really agree that these TAs are getting useless from time to time which makes no reason for us to believe in others' TAs rather than our own.
Traders are not reliant on TA anymore but rather have luck and follow their instinct. Because even if we spend a lot of time in the market, checking the chart, etc... sadly it only confuses us about what we gonna do next. This will tell us that trading is really hard and the direction of the market is very unpredictable.
1240  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: December 02, 2022, 05:08:10 AM
I don't know if SMB has the weapons to beat Converge TBH because they are a strong team as well, but let's see how they will play.

I would not question SMB's capability, I think the question would go to Converge. I get it, they are hot currently but comes playoffs time, it's going to be a different story so I'll always back SMB against Converge TBH.

I will agree with you on that one because SMB can't be underestimated in the playoffs since that's their favorite situation in the PBA season. Romeo will undoubtedly bring some energy and with JMF back in the lineup, he will be a big problem inside especially if he will be playing close to 100% soon.
