1242  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Why Bittrex so popular ? on: August 30, 2018, 01:37:32 PM
I refuse to use an exchange that makes me do an extensive KYC process.  People are creatures of habit and a lot of users are simply too lazy to change exchanges.  It can be a hassle to use a different exchange for your trading after you've been using the same one for years.  Bittrex still has very high volume and most notable coins listed as well.
1243  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Crypto Bull Run!!! on: August 30, 2018, 01:28:50 PM
Whether this is a true bull run or just another bull trap its better to invest in early instead of waiting for the perfect dip.  Time in the market always beats timing the market.  You can also leave a portion in fiat money to hedge your bets and cost average if the price goes lower.

Personally I believe we will see bitcoin hit at least $15k by the end of this year.
1244  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling Excuses on: August 30, 2018, 01:17:34 PM
no!  it is so stupid.  gambling is not a solution to financial problems.  you can even get more.

People have gone into more debt after going to gambling and have lost all their saving or more. This happens when you do not have self control or discipline in life and want to make money through short cut ways knowing that your chances of winning is less than the owners of the site/casino.

I would never advise going into debt for anything except buying a house or starting a business.  When you are gambling you should only risk what your willing to lose.  A lot of us can gamble responsibly but a few bad apples can make us all look bad in the eyes of the public.
1245  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why are most new tokens Ethereum ICOs? on: August 30, 2018, 01:10:03 PM
Most new projects are on Ethereum because it is the most trusted platform.  The daily trading volume is over $1billion per day so it has a fairly stable demand.

It looks like the NEO platform isn't doing so hot compared to Ethereum.
1246  Economy / Speculation / Re: How to predict whales manipulation on: August 29, 2018, 04:26:57 PM
Today again some whales came back on BTC ..
Does anyone have some suggestion to be alerted before this kind of manipulation ... I’m really fed up to see some big red or green candles without any reason ..
I’m always in or out when it arrives ...

You can't really predict what the market will do unless you are a whale yourself.  They tend to work together and have an inner circle so they can move the market in whatever direction they want.  It's why shorting or going long with leverage is very dangerous, you can easily get liquidated by a few candle wicks.
1247  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Too manu alts? on: August 29, 2018, 04:21:06 PM
Here is something, are we having too many altcoins listed on exchanges? coinmarketcap.com now has 1901 coins trading, some other platforms like coingecked have even more 2514
are we having too many alts?

There can never be too many altcoins, only the ones with the best technology and most adoption will thrive.

Are there too many apps? too many businesses? This is how capitalism works. Everyone tries to improve on an existing product and make money off of it.
1248  Economy / Economics / Re: Financial Crisis Will Come on: August 29, 2018, 04:17:25 PM
Financial crisis will come to those who mismanage their wealth..Most of us are in survival mode.If you are not tough enough to try new things like bitcoin, then nothing will happen to us.

Fortune favors the bold.  Most wealthy individuals got where they are today by taking huge risks and not listening to the naysayers.  It can be scary starting a new field of technology and it requires a lot of patience to see it through till the end.  Wealthy people are barely affected by these financial crises, it's not like they are struggling to afford shelter.

I think the next market crash will be starting very soon, stocks have been on a bull run for too long and everything looks very overpriced.
1249  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 NBA Pre-Season on: August 29, 2018, 04:09:13 PM
I do not think derozan will keep playing like what derozan used to play on toronto but you guys are forgetting one thing. Yes in 2014 when spurs won the title they played the best team basketball there is but two years ago spurs was heavily reliant on kawhi making plays for himself and scoring, last year it was mostly on lamarcus aldridge and his 1 on 1 with his defender
on low block.

Mainly spurs is not playing the "beatiful game" we remember, they did turned to a more isolation related game, which derozan excells at. He might share the ball a lot more because its spurs, they pass more than others, however not like used to so derozan will be required to do ISO even if not as much. They do not have that many scorers on that team, this year they will only be derozan and lamarcus, anyone else scoring is just open shots, the ppg for all others will be low.

You need at least two or three superstars to win in todays NBA.   The days of a solid group of role players winning a title are long gone.  We won't see a nother team similar to the 2004 pistons for a long time.

To be honest, the NBA has gotten a lot less exciting because of the Golden State Warriors. There team is stacked to the max with all their star players and it's just causing other players to form their own superteams.  Everyone wants to team up in todays NBA instead of taking the difficult path.
1250  Economy / Economics / Re: Economy going up and up everyday on: August 29, 2018, 04:03:21 PM
At face value the economy seems to be doing great, but the wealth gap keeps increasing.  Millenials can barely afford housing because of the stagnant wages and increasing house prices.  If you compare the average CEO pay from the 1970s to modern times it has skyrocketed.  There is a lot of new wealth created but it goes straight to the top and very little trickles down.
1251  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin now in use Football Sports on: August 29, 2018, 03:56:17 PM
I've already seen crypto sponsorships with clubs but they were in the lower leagues.  Anyways this is great news, anything that helps cryptocurrency become more mainstream.  I don't think this will have any effect on the price of bitcoin in the near future though.
1252  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETH TO 100$. on: August 28, 2018, 02:04:20 PM
Not possible at all. Miner's electric cost alone is around $150-230, depending on geography location. So if the price dropped below that for long term, many miners will not be able to survive. And this will pose serious issue for Ethereum ecosystem.

I strongly believe $250 is the floor price for ETH currently. Until Casper (/Hybrid) launch, where the dynamics will go through major change and adjustment.

Miners are barely making a profit at the current prices. I know miners won't let the price drop any lower.  With all the updates Ethereum has planned (casper, sharding, POS) it will reach a new all time high relatively soon.

I think OP is just one of those manipulators that tries to spread fud so he can buy in at a cheaper price.
1253  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: In Gambling, Money is not everything on: August 28, 2018, 01:50:59 PM
Money is the important thing in gambling if not then video game is enough to give that fun needed but gambling is much different the real money gives the ultimate adrenaline pump if you lose the game you will lose your money too so there will be huge excitement in the gambling only because of money involved.

Thats the thing, a lot of gamblers are addicted to the adrenaline rush.  Without money being on the line you don't get the same excitement.

I lot of the negative naysayers preach that gambling is wrong because you always end up losing money. Well almost everything in life costs money and if your having fun doing it I don't see the harm.
1254  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is your game and why? on: August 28, 2018, 01:42:44 PM
My favorite game is roulette by my favorite thing to gamble on is sports.  I prefer to bet on football (soccer) and basketball.  I get a lot of excitement when I put money on a game.  Sports have become quite boring to watch unless I have some money riding on the game Smiley  Also I firmly believe that sports betting isn't just luck because you can use the knowledge you've gained over the years to increase your odds.
1255  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Paying Bounty With TOKEN or ETH which will be better? on: August 28, 2018, 01:18:09 PM
The reputable campaigns already pay in btc or eth.  Good posters don't want to waste their time with a signature campaign that pays in worthless tokens.  Anyone can create an erc 20 token in a few minutes, they have no value until proven otherwise.  Most projects that pay in btc have legit operation and a bright future.
1256  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why Bitcoin isn't a legit currency. on: August 28, 2018, 01:11:40 PM
bitcoin has a price that keeps changing so that it cannot become a currency because it does not have a fixed price and will be dangerous if used to buy something because prices can be very expensive but can also turn out to be very cheap
No, I think that reason is not enough because volatility is normal even in a centralized currency so how much more on decentralized system that market is will depend of the activity for all the people who buy and sell in crypto market. There is only one reason I see of why government is hesitant to adapt bitcoin as a true legal currency and that is because its a decentralized system that even them can't control. Bitcoin is for the people's benefits around the world that is why many people like it and me too.

I agree with you that the government is against bitcoin because it is decentralized and it will be difficult to control.  I also think governments realize that it can't be stopped so they would rather try to regulate it and generate tax revenue from crypto.

The volatility is still a big issue with bitcoin but prices will eventually become more stable once its more widely adopted.  Right now a lot of people are afraid to get paid in a currency that can drop 10 percent in one day.
1257  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Are you going to pay taxes? on: August 28, 2018, 01:00:08 PM
I have no issue with paying taxes when it goes to help the homeless and those that are in poverty.  I wish the government didn't spend so much on war and other ridiculous things though.  All it takes is a few bad events and any of us could land on the streets,  it's why I always treat others the way I would want to be treated.
1258  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What to do with scammers on: August 28, 2018, 12:54:55 PM
There are scammers in every field it's not just crypto.  Look at how much money Bernie Madoff stole from investors, all the combined scams in crypto don't even come close to that amount.  The amount of MLM scams I see posted over social media is staggering as well.  This is just a crypto problem, its a human greed issue.
1259  Economy / Speculation / Re: 2020 Bitcoin Halving Will Push Prices To $60,000 Says Bobby Lee on: August 27, 2018, 12:24:22 PM
60k is a tame prediction considering John Mcafee is calling for a 500k bitcoin.  What a lot of people don't understand in the bitcoin can be broken down into many different units.  It's intimidating for a new crypto investor to spend so much on just "one" coin but it can be broken down into smaller units such as mbtc which make a lot more sense to the public.
1260  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 NBA Pre-Season on: August 27, 2018, 12:19:48 PM
I don't think the Lakers can realistically compete against the Warriors. I think Lebron knows this, he went to Los Angeles for the endorsement deals and to do other hollywood appearances.

The Lakers have been lacking a true superstar since Kobe left so Lebron will help them generate hype, sell loads of merchandise, and sell out every game.

I do agree that Lebron moving to LA ha something to do with Hollywood. But it doesn't mean that he will not bring his best to Lakers. Remember he singlehandedly bring Cavs against the Warriors so don't be surprise if the bring the same attitude in LA to compete in the West with the likes of GSW and Houston.

At least lebron can play in a relaxed manner.  He doesn't have the same pressure anymore because of his age and he has already won 3 rings.  Most experts already rank lebron in the top 3 greatest players of all time.  So from here on out anything else he accomplishes is just icing on the cake.
