1321  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Street Gambling Risk on: March 13, 2023, 10:27:15 AM
Is street gambling safe?

Does it prove that street gambling is not safe? Yes, it might but it all depends on the players. Will u play your bet with people you know are no good? No right? Maybe we can't really say until it happens but how about the chance that you can get yourself harmed, I'm not saying that don't play street games or don't bet on street gambling what I'm saying is please do choose who you play with wisely.

No street gambling is not safe whether you are playing with unknown people or acquaintances when it comes to playing that can be considered risky, your safety should be your main concern, that is why we have physical casinos where people can feel safe, relax, and can unwind, street gambling not only has a lot of risks but you can encounter thugs and cheaters and you have no control of the situation, sometimes spectators of the game are the one that will cause trouble so it's better not to play in streets.
Even if you know most of the players out there, but you can’t have an assurance that you won’t be cheated since street gambling has no fixed rules and there’s no gambling managers or supervisors that will secure the transparency of the games. That is why some street gamblers end up being cheated and harassed especially in places where there are no authorities assigned. So I’d rather chose gambling in reputable casinos than in streets gambling where risks are high and are very dangerous to play.
1322  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A costly gambling mistake on: March 13, 2023, 09:41:19 AM
The most popular mistake that newbies make with online casinos is avoiding the rules and regulations, not all online casinos will put up a warning sign on their first page and say 👇

"New users are welcome, please read our rules and regulation before making your first deposits"

You have to look for the website FAQ and go through it first, I have seen some newbies that avoid doing this has they ended up shooting themselves in the foot.

Some even start spreading FUD on the forum about these gambling platforms that did them wrong, not knowing that they are the ones at fault, they are guilty because they don't read the rules and regulations.
This is not for newbies only but even long-time players still make the mistake of skipping the TOS and the FAQ thinking that all casinos have the same FAQ, until they found out that it's different from the one where they used to play and when they filed a complaint.
It should be your nature to always check, read and be familiar with every casino's term that you're playing to avoid scenarios that will put your account in trouble.
If you aim to gamble responsibly, you should always take caution in every step you want to take, like reading and understanding the TOS first and reading on the reviews made by gamblers who have experienced playing in the site, that way you will be guided properly before you make your initial deposit. That is also one way to avoid filing complaints on the site and giving them negative feedbacks since you are the one who is at fault by not reading and understanding the terms and conditions of the site.
1323  Economy / Gambling / Re: What if bitcointalk creates a casino review and ratings board for members. on: March 12, 2023, 10:51:10 PM
I think creating a new thread for reviews and rating is a good idea in terms of convenience.  Even though we already have an announcement thread for each gambling company, it would be great if there is a thread that has the list of the casino dedicated to ratings and reviews.

But, as good as the idea sound, I think it requires lots of labor for maintenance and updates.  If anyone can do the @OP idea then I think it is great in terms of convenience.
This will be a great advantage for us especially for beginner gamblers as it will give them less chances to be scam from gambling. But it will surely requires another hard work on part of the forum just to keep the convenience for the sake of gamblers. However, gamblers should also do their part when gambling and never gamble more than an amount they can afford to lose. Just gamble responsibly, and never see gambling as a source of living rather than an entertainment.
1324  Economy / Gambling / Re: How succesful will AI projects be to win the house? on: March 12, 2023, 10:33:40 PM
In the long run, you can not win the house. The chance you can be lucky and win big to become rich will always be less than 1% while in long time, the house will always be the winner.

Just as it has been advised several times, gamble for just fun.
Right. Gambling casinos are designed to make an income out from players, and not that players will in return take advantage over the casinos. Even with the arise of AI projects, still we cannot beat the house. So I don’t think that the house will be threaten with this AI projects. AI cannot predict something to happen, most particularly in gambling where everything comes with luck.
1325  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling Is for the strong. on: March 12, 2023, 10:19:07 PM
Likely your friend is an addict that have spent huge amount of money on gambling, the best would be to just channel huge amount of money on something else. If he is feeling tempted and not able to use small amount on gambling, he should leave gambling for many months without visiting any gambling site or place, he should focus on business.
His friend won’t be acting like that if he is just an occasional gambler who also gamble at a minimal amount. Surely he’s now regretting all his losses from gambling and wishing he hasn’t done gambling in the first place. In this case, if you think you cannot control yourself over gambling, maybe because you see gambling that can give you great profits or you can earn living from it, then leave gambling for good. Gambling casinos will always have the edge over players, so gamblers should always know that and gamble responsibly.
1326  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Never Trade on Emotions on: March 11, 2023, 09:58:21 PM
If entering the markets will be based on you to first see some green candles or anything in those lines,am  sorry you aren't ready for the markets and this will hurt you in the long term.

You best option to give yourself a winning chance and an edge over the markets is build a solid trading strategy this will help eliminate any emotions that get you to doubt your positions and will also allow you to apply good risk management to protect your capital.

Ultimately we also need to agree that we can't win all trades no matter how good of a strategy we have, let's accept losses to be part of the trading game!!
Trading is not an avenue to make you an instant wealthy with less than a year. It does not guarantee consistent profits, but it’s even more visible in making you losses most of the time. Most especially if you enter trading without knowledge and little bit of skills in trading, then you will never be profitable from your trades. And also trading with emotions is never advisable. If you feel that you find it hard to control your emotions in everything you do, particularly in trading, then it’s certain that you will hardly make profits from trading.

Hello everyone.. I'm am new in Bitcointalk.. I don't know the proper work.. I have participated in a signature camping which is free.. They are accepting Jr member.. The camping is helpful for me because I'm new and I don't know how to do signeture camping.. That is my 1st signeture camping participated.. I requested everyone to help me. I don't know how to do signeture camping!! Roll Eyes
You should have started learning from the forum and explore everything whatever you can read there because that’s the only way you will learn on how to be a good signature campaign participant. And not that you eventually participate in a campaign and leave you clueless on what to do there, and how you will become a relevant member when everything you do is spamming. Always acquire knowledge first before you start your decision making.
1328  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What do you think about stop gambling services issued by gambling platforms? on: March 11, 2023, 09:24:22 PM
Does it really help them? No, and I don't think they need to do that just for the sake of stopping people from becoming a gambling addict. Instead, they keep encouraging people to gamble on their site and enjoy themselves.

Honestly, being addicted to gambling is not about the site, it is about losing control of ourselves. Though they are saying just gamble moderately but in the case of addiction, they have nothing to do with that but to let them play, instead of stopping them.
Gambling addiction is certainly a choice. If you see yourself experiencing it, then you should be responsible enough to stop gambling and avoid gambling at all cost. And not that gambling sites are given responsibility to stop them because honestly, it will definitely not work. Gambling casinos are designed to make money from gamblers, and not that they should stop them from playing whenever they have lose huge amount from gambling. If gamblers will chose to continue gamble and lose their money, that’s already their problem and not on the casinos.
1329  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is it legal for our kids to learn trade? on: March 11, 2023, 09:00:47 PM
I want to know if it right for children that are of 10-15years go in to trade or not because I have a kid friend of about 14years and very eager to learn trading but am scared of the lost and how long it will take him to understand what his doing, because it hasn't been very easy for me. So what your opinion please I need help? because I think is too risky for them to go in to trade for now.
I don’t see any illegality if kids will be taught about trading at an early age. Kids have different interest and passion so might as well enhance and develop it rather than discouraging them about trading. However, knowing the fact that trading is never easy and will always require complete understanding on trading before trying to engage in it, then your kid friend should not be allowed to trade for now as his mind is not ready yet to incur consistent losses as that’s what trading is all about for first timers. He’s free to learn actually but he should avoid trading for now knowing it could cause him trauma if he used up all his allowance from trading.
1330  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I managed to convince my senior dad to invest in BTC on: March 11, 2023, 08:45:01 PM
It's such a great idea inviting people to know about cryptocurrency and the potentials it can offer to those that are into it, but on the other hand I hate being blamed for any losses someone might incur because he  or she decided to invest into crypto because I told them to do so.
Be it a relative or colleague I can only introduced you to the idea of the existence of cryptocurrency but never gonna try to convince you to invest, as I don't know your plans before you decided to invest and with the volatility of the market there's much chances things might go as you had planned, so I now git caught up in the blame net.
The same reason why I never want to convince someone to invest in a high risky investment because I don’t want to take the blame when things did not work in the end. Though I have high hopes that bitcoin will never disappoint us and will give us life changing rewards, but there’s no guarantee that bitcoin will stay that way forever. I can always help people on how to learn and understand about bitcoin, but I will never force them to invest in it knowing there’s also high chances of losing from bitcoin especially if they will only invest for the sake of getting rich quick.
1331  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Is kyc verification dangerous? on: March 10, 2023, 09:37:27 PM
It will only be dangerous if you submit your KYC to non-reputable crypto services or exchanges. But if you DYOR first before trying to submit your KYC, then that will prevent you from being abused from your own KYC details. KYC is unstoppable these days, as even small banks and small insurances are asking it, but what is more important is that you only pass your KYC if it’s really necessary, otherwise don’t bother submitting KYC.
1332  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Before you buy your first bitcoin take note on: March 10, 2023, 08:58:43 PM
It is important to take note of the following key factors to owning Bitcoin and what you stand to get from that action,  first I will like to build in you the background mindset of the important of knowledge/Education and it resultant impact on your bitcoin journey.

Before you make up your mind to buy your first bitcoin as a newbie who does not have a basic knowledge and understanding of Bitcoin, you should know that, no matter the amount of money in your possession without knowledge and proper understanding you will end up in frustration because you will lack that control over you ability to analyze the current condition and even getting yourself exposed to some criminals e.g hackers due to the inability to protect your wallet and what's have you.

HAVE KNOWLEDGE FIRST BEFORE YOU BUY BITCOIN
The afar bolded term capture the entire message and essence of this thread, and any contribution or suggestion is welcome.
That is the most proven and effective way not to end up regretting why you bought bitcoin in the first place. Knowledge is essential, so you should have an adequate amount of knowledge before taking such investments, most especially if it’s a risky investment like buying bitcoin. Because even if you have all the means to acquire a lot of bitcoin and store them in your portfolio, the fact that you don’t know how to run and manage your investment, then you will always prone to failure in the end. The reason why knowledge should be necessarily obtained prior to investing.
1333  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Too harsh on user? on: March 10, 2023, 08:39:46 PM
Is it right to call a gambling platform a scam for confiscating users account with the deposited balance because you use more than one SIM card to access the platform? The SIM cards aren't from same network provider, so their IP addresses are different from one another.

This happened to someone I know very well, but I found this to be too cruel,  different IPs on the same device shouldn't cause this ban, what do you think?

There are some gambling platforms that pray that users make this mistake and use the opportunity to sit down on their money.

No, I will not support the platform decision in this case. It's normal you will have two sim cards in your mobile. You will use both sim Data to browse the internet. But the platform can not ban for this reason only. I don't know yet even if there could be rules like you can not access sites from different IPs (even the device is the same here). But if there is any TOS like this they can take this decision but it's against the users. Not a good decision and this could not be a good platform.
Any platform that is going against our own privacy and is harming our funds, I know in the first place those platforms are not safe and reliable. So once you experienced it, then stay away from that platform by then because obviously, they are here to scam people and not to treat them the right way. And I don’t think using dual sim with same device is a big offense for them, if their goal is to scam us, they will always pushed through it.
1334  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Common red flag to detect a scam on: March 10, 2023, 08:34:43 AM
The second technique listed is a well and popular technique used by scammers to scam naive, new beginners and unexperienced member or individuals. So i urge and advise new beginners like my self to be very careful and vigilant in any work or giveaway they might encounter because some might just be a way of giving personal information in one way or the other. Thank you for the well said advice and notification mate.
Almost all of the techniques listed are used by scammers to set traps for cryptocurrency beginners in order to see if they can get them scammed.

Beginners must be cautious and take their time learning everything there is to know about Bitcoin and cryptocurrency before they begin trading or investing, as scammers are just waiting for them to fall into their trap due to small mistakes made by beginners, and scammers will take advantage of the opportunity to scam them because they are waiting for any slice mistake to scam them.
Not just for beginners alone but even to those who have been here for quite long, extra cautious and extra vigilance is highly needed knowing scammers can be smarter than us, they will always upgrade their ways of scamming as it won’t seem too obvious for their target victims. But most especially for newbies and beginners in the market investment, as they never had experiences that’s why they easily fall to the scammer’s traps.
1335  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How do you feel selling your BTC against your plans? on: March 09, 2023, 09:59:18 PM
I would be surprised if someone would feel positive when something goes against regards his plans. Of course a person would feel bad if he is forced to sell his holdings before the price hits the amount he has set as a goal. Such urgent trades never goes good, as people not only sell at a lowest price, but also lose quite a hefty amount on commissions, because they dont have time to search for best offer on the market.

Gladly I was never in a situation like OP described. Mostly because of money pillow and money management. The money I invest in crypto I count as already spent money, so I never turn to them as an emergency funds. There is only one reason that can force me to turn to crypto funds and sell them - my or my family members health issues.
Good to hear if you are managing your investment well and everything happen based on your plans. However, for some here who have no left options but to sell because maybe the emergency funds are not enough, the feeling is really devastating. You could have sell them in a perfect price if you never sell them earlier than your plan. But that’s what life is. Sometimes we have to take some unplanned decisions even if it will badly affect us, but knowing it will be good for the person we love, then taking the decision should mean no regretting.
1336  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: who would you trust? on: March 09, 2023, 08:59:22 PM
Since strategy are always changing in trading, what is the relevance of experience? Who would you trust the most for trading tips,
An old trader who has had better days and mostly still relevant because they have a strong reputation for the fact that he has been trading for a while, or would you trust a new trader who is hot in the market and fresh with new strategies?
If we can trust no one, that would be a lot better. Trading profits cannot be guaranteed even if you rely for someone to do your trades, because we all know losing in trading is still inevitable, and it could happen regardless of your position as a trader. Just accept the fact that losing is part of trading, the more you lose, the more lessons you will learned. And when you gain enough experiences already, then you would eventually manage your trades well and might start making maximum profits when trading.
1337  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Would you Bet on a Fight that is Scripted? on: March 09, 2023, 07:57:55 PM
When there is nothing else to bet on.

They promise the pre-outcome will not go public. But it's more devastating instead because the WWE itself will scam the public by betting against the people who believe these scripted fights. There are more fights out there other than NBA and if it's just for the sake you can gamble, every country today has had a premier league since the time India started it.
Well, the fact that regardless if it’s scripted, people are still being entertained by it, then there’s no wrong actually if we bet a small amount if we don’t see real fights happening that time. After all, I don’t see wrestling games are certainly real even before, so it’s not really an issue for me. But I still think betting on real match games like boxing and sportsbetting still give me more excitement to bet since we all know the outcomes are mostly not scripted and fixed.
1338  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Betting strategy question on: March 06, 2023, 06:19:25 PM
In fact, a gambler cannot determine and ensure that he really can have a multiplier opportunity like that found in slot games.

For me there is no strategy whatsoever that can be done to play slots, because its works by the machine, not our brains. We only bet, the rest is machines or programs (online slots).

Some people can indeed have an opinion like you that any strategy cannot be done to play slots.
But have you never tried and found out that there are several special patterns that can be used in slot games and many gamblers have proven this.
In this pattern it cannot really give a win, but at least with this pattern we can increase the chances of being able to win slot games.
Sounds ridiculous and doesn't make sense, but in reality that's what happened for now.
That could be true too as gamblers still find it exciting to play slot games even if we already know it’s clearly a luck-based game, maybe because they still anticipate for a good win by following some special patterns they reserved for slot games. And to think that it could work for some gamblers, I guess it’s not bad too if we can also try making it. After all, gambling is gambling, it’s outcome will always be unpredicted, and it’s what keep us from coming back in gambling.
1339  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Shakur Stevenson vs Shuichiro Yoshino April 8 on: March 06, 2023, 06:00:47 PM
^^ I would agree, decent to good opponent for Shakur but I doubt that he can upset Stevenson at this point. So I will have to put Shakur here winning maybe by a knockout or complete domination of the fight.

No offense to the Japanese fighter, he had the belt in Asia, beat Nakatani who gave Teo Lopez all he can handle and also fought Loma in his comeback fight. But that is not enough resume to beat the likes of Shakur right now.
Same feedback here. This Japanese boxer may have achieved past winning performances but I don’t see him a perfect match for Shakur. Though both are professionals on their own career, but seeing this Japanese boxer past performances, I would say he won’t easily beat Shakur because Shakur is definitely a tough and hard to beat opponent. Still, this will test them both who will dominate the fight and maybe still make a good fight in the end.
1340  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Tony Harrison vs Tim Tszyu - Mar 13, 2023 on: March 06, 2023, 05:34:04 PM

This is a really a good test for Tim because Harrison is very good and durable opponent who gave Charlo his only lost so far. Right, win-win situation for Harrison as well, if he wins then maybe he will be the mandatory for Charlo again.

This fight is a challenge for both fighters, as the winner will have the opportunity to fight Charlo. While Tim Tszyu is a slight favorite, I wouldn't be too convinced that he will win easily. The winner of this fight will surely be deserving of the opportunity to fight the champion.

It would be very entertaining to watch a knockout in this fight. With Tony Harrison having 21 knockout wins from 29 fights, he is definitely not a boring fighter and has a high KO percentage.
This will be a tough fight for both fighters. While Tim is still considered undefeated through all his performances, but I would say beating Tony is never easy and from his high KO percentage, it would be a big challenge for Tim to beat Tony, which it could be the other way around since Tony is also a very dangerous opponent and that fighting with him involves a massive risk. So let’s see then who will come out undefeated days from now.
