1461  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: FTX Scam : Unable to withdraw on: November 18, 2022, 05:43:37 PM
What the hell is he even trying to say here?
That's just part of the Twitter thread as he first spelled "what happened" (each comment 1 letter for some reason) and then  explained in short his side of the story and how he plans to make it right by the customers and other usual bullshit. Thread is here by the way https://twitter.com/SBF_FTX/status/1591989554881658880

I agree it is just a bunch of bullshit. If I am not mistaken, he filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy before stepping down as CEO of FTX exchange, so how does he plan to make it right with the customers?
1462  Economy / Reputation / Re: Please check. Account with suspicious username cozytrade on: November 18, 2022, 05:21:36 PM
It's fine to agree in disagreement.

That is exactly the whole point here. You don't have to agree with everyone's opinion, nor is it your place to judge anyone for having one. This is the exact reason why we have freedom of speech: so that everyone can say what they think and have their voice heard, and have it respected. If you don't like that someone has a different opinion than yours, then you are free to ignore that person or their opinion. You cannot force people to agree with you and nor should you try. It may be true that this place can be a bit "rough" at times, but the idea is to keep it democratized.

I am quoting this.

Yes, he already asked me for money.

Although this is unrelated to your main case, @aew is most likely trying to trick you into paying him money for supposed help with your dispute with the casino. Do not fall for his tricks!

On November 13, 2022, one of this forum members wrote to me in a private message and said that he could ask one of the bGaming employees about investigation..

You should exercise caution when dealing with this person. Member aew (alt account of Extrarakeback) already has several scam accusations against him on this forum, so I would not trust him.

Man this was really unnecessary. If i do anything wrong put some neg on me no problem. But what you have done is now make me an imposter in my own account. If you really think i am not that same person just put me in your ignore list. I hope you will think about it and remove that feedback.

There is no reason to become upset. A single neutral feedback on your account has no impact whatsoever on your further participation in the forum.

If you need to take a note for yourself then use TryNinjas self note extension. That way you do not annoy others with unnecessary feedback.

I do not agree with this. Neutral feedbacks are like opinions - they are personal and often subjective. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, even if that opinion has no basis in fact. Personally, I would like to see more neutral tags that can be valuable to the community. The more people participate in such user-friendly forms of interaction, the better conditions will be created within the forum.
1466  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The risks of self-custody outweigh the risk of exchanges on: November 16, 2022, 05:41:18 PM
The real truth is that there are very few methods that are 100% safe. Both methods have their pros and cons. It all comes down to risk. The risk of self-custody is that you are going solo. You are the only person capable of protecting your money and coins from being lost or stolen, and that could be a daunting task. But at the same time, if you manage them correctly, it can also be quite secure. In the end, it will be up to you to weigh the pros and cons of each method and see which one looks like a better fit for your needs. But whatever you do, don't trust any third-party service too much. So, to reiterate: keep your coins out of online services as much as possible.
1467  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Why are there lots of accounts that seem abandoned? on: November 16, 2022, 05:20:19 PM
for your thinking about this forum as some kind of crypto-currency center, I think that is not correct considering how many active members we have that give some value to the forum compared to all those bounty hunters who together are worth absolutely nothing.

For the new generation, the concept of a forum is not something attractive, and that is why most of them spend their time on various social networks where, frankly speaking, they will not learn much and have a much higher chance of becoming victims of a scam.

You are probably right. Forums were the place to go for years and are filled with a ton of valuable information to back it up. Unfortunately, they are nowhere near as influential as they used to be. Though that doesn't mean that forums are completely useless in 2022. There are various social networks available on the internet, but imho, the best way to get advice on a given topic is by using forums. You just can't find the same level of quality and information elsewhere. People take their time to write a post, or reply to one, which means that the quality of the content is usually better than on other sites. You can go back and read their posts at a later date, which is another advantage of using forums.

~
I think everything will change when we get a new forum, we just need to be patient a little more Wink

On the other hand, I agree with you about the new forum software. It's about time that the forum get a new, modern design. The current one looks like it was made in the early 2000s. It's boring and outdated, which is not at all helpful in making the user interface appealing to younger generations. I hope that the new design will be more modern, engaging and intuitive. I also hope that the new design will help to increase the activity on the forums, as it's something that we all want to see happen.
1468  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Too many chickens own BTC. Don't be a chicken, HODL! BE A LION. on: November 15, 2022, 09:39:02 PM
Hope is a powerful thing. It allows us to believe in something even though there is no proof that it exists. The hope for quick, easy riches is no different. People will invest in things and programs because they hope for a return on their money. But the sad truth is that the vast majority of people are not going to become millionaires through Bitcoin - and if you're waiting for that to happen, you're likely going to be waiting for a very long time. So basically, don't just "hope" it happens – try to make it happen; but don't expect it to happen overnight.
1469  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Accidentally sent btc to bsv address please help me on: November 15, 2022, 08:18:04 PM
Did you ever recover said BTC? It looks like the transaction was made to recover it.

I fear this question will never be answered.
Macmacmac0020 hasn't been on the forum for a long time (more than two years) and probably abandoned his account for good.
1470  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Why are there lots of accounts that seem abandoned? on: November 15, 2022, 07:52:09 PM
BitcoinTalk is the biggest forum in the industry and I feel like a kind of living museum, or a tombstone of sorts, for all those who participated in a specific period. You can see how the project evolved, compare different views of users from back then to now. You can see all the different points of view from different people, from miners to investors and developers.

There's nothing wrong with someone losing interest in an online platform. People lose interest in things at different paces and for different reasons. However, one thing is for sure: the cryptocurrency market is growing, and forums like BitcoinTalk are still at the center of this market.
1471  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Cristiano Ronaldo partners with Binance on: November 15, 2022, 03:23:31 PM
This is already old news. Here is my thread on the same topic from June 24, 2022: Binance signs Cristiano Ronaldo for exclusive partnership to push NFTs

Other than that, I do not see how this is related to gambling in any way.
1472  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: thank god for bringing btc back in 2018. on: November 14, 2022, 08:37:47 PM
I think that Bitcoin is in the process of having a dramatic correction, and possibly a very large one. When this takes place, it is likely to cause panic among newcomers. This is the perfect time for an informed investor, who knows how undervalued Bitcoin currently is, to jump in and purchase some BTC at rock bottom prices. When it comes to investing in cryptocurrency, timing is everything. The most successful investors are those who know when to enter the market and when to exit. If you want to buy some BTC before it reaches its peak value again, now would be a good time to do so.
1473  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What have Bitcoin or crypto change in your life? on: November 14, 2022, 08:14:51 PM
If you ask me what is the greatest change that happened to me, I would definitely say that it has given me a whole new perspective on things. When I first heard about Bitcoin, around 2018, I was very skeptical and thought that it would be a fad that will pass in a few years. But when I started to understand the potential of this technology and its impact on the future of money and finance, I became convinced that it was something truly revolutionary, and I realized that this is something much bigger than what I can imagine. So, I started learning about it and reading about what other people thought about it. Prior to this, I had never thought about money in the same way that I do now. The benefits of Bitcoin are endless, but the most important thing we should understand is that it can help us reach financial freedom.
1474  Other / Meta / Re: Why does an account get autobanned? on: November 14, 2022, 07:26:42 PM
DdmrDdmr buddy you say.

He may be banned for plagiarism as shown in the previous link without publishing a plagiarism complaint (copy/paste).

Now my question is, if he could not reveal the allegations of theft, why was he banned.

I am not sure what you are asking. Can you rephrase your question?
"He" was banned because he violated one or more forum rules. The real reason is known to the moderators.

one more question what is Nuke user?

Nuking a user is the same as banning them. The only difference is that, after a nuke, their posts are deleted as well. This usually only applies to newbie members.
1475  Economy / Gambling / Re: Roobet.com | Crypto’s Fastest Growing Casino 🦘 on: November 13, 2022, 06:38:50 PM
-snip
That's the case but see the thing is if you are wagering over three or say more teams in order to improve your chances of winning you would have to bet $30 for each of them which is little bit more according to me compared to your free bets for each match.

Pretty sure that it is limited to only one, otherwise people would be abusing this by betting all those potentially top 4 teams but still though getting a team to win 6 games to get $30 back in free bet is hard so just treat it as an extra promotions though. You might potentially win your outright bet alongside with all those free bets from the promotions
That's why if you're going to participate in this promotion you have to think deeply on what country could dominate the world cup to have a chances to get more $5 for each winning. Yes it's a bit hard but if you happen to bet on the right country, that's satisfying. Anyway, probably some of us can't afford to risk $30 (specially the average gamblers) but if you're open for a challenge and a fan of FIFA then it's worth to try, who knows right? Just have less expectation.

Yes. It is a risky business to bet on the winner of competitions like the World Cup. After all, anything can happen in a knockout tournament. But with great risk comes great reward. A $5 free bet is just a bonus- basically, if your chosen team reaches the final, you have a good chance to receive your initial deposit in the form of a free bonus.

1477  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: With a 99% drop in value of Crytpo Will the Morons Move On?? on: November 12, 2022, 11:31:30 PM
The overall opinion of the crypto community is not positive and you can see it on most of the major crypto social networks. The majority of the negativity is directed at exchanges, and also lending platforms. In fact, there is more negativity with cryptocurrency services than with developers, projects or even ICOs.

In the future, hopefully, a more sustainable and reasonable crypto market will emerge from the ashes of these ponzi scams. This is part of a revolutionary process that is based on separation between useful services from garbage and scams. After this separation - free market will do rest. I know this is overly-optimistic but we will just have to wait and see. Nothing else. Apart from that, I believe the future of decentralized exchanges is bright; they are surely growing in numbers and will continue to draw in more and more users. At least crypto community is learning from its mistakes and trying to improve. And in the end, that is what matters most.
1478  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Is this online web wallet safe? on: November 12, 2022, 10:31:31 PM
I don't know much about the PoKT Network project, but since you plan to trust them with your money, there is no reason not to trust their official wallet. I highly recommend bookmarking their official address. It is always best to never access websites through a search engine, especially when using a web wallet. Otherwise, you could accidentally end up on a phishing site. Also, make sure that your computer is clean of malware before accessing your wallet.
1479  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: War of exchanges on: November 11, 2022, 07:50:17 PM
Looks like the info is legit. I found their tweet about it, but there is no explanation:

https://twitter.com/WhiteBit/status/1590745188955295746

I do not think that this is a war of exchanges. WhiteBit probably has its own reasons for delisting BNB, and maybe it is related to the war in Ukraine and Binance's policy regarding sanctions against Russia, or there is simply not enough volume trading BNB pairs.
1480  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: How does my Trezor wallet work? on: November 11, 2022, 07:21:21 PM
If my computer makes a query to the trezor, then how does my computer / trezor know how many bitcoins are in the specified account?

Your Trezor device does not actually know how many bitcoins are available at the specified address. It is like a special key, which you use to sign/authorize transactions.

Basically, software on your computer creates an unsigned transaction that contains all the necessary information. The transaction is sent to a hardware wallet device, which signs it and sends it back to the software application, which then broadcasts it to the bitcoin network.
