1541  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: September 17, 2022, 08:20:18 PM
With the losses that he's made, that also made him realize that he's aged although he can still really box well. But age does really play a factor for athletes like in boxing.

That's right! But if only Manny Pacquiao wasn't that busy enough in his last fight then I seriously bet that the outcome of the fight would be much different and Yordenis Ugas would be the one who got defeated. Pacquiao was too busy that time he is also a senator while he is also preparing to run for presidency and then he got a fight.
Yeah, I guess that it will be a different story if he's not doing other things with his last match.

But that's it, it's better to accept it on his end and he'll just move on and do some other things to make himself busy. IIRC, the fighter was even changed at that very last minute of time and it wasn't Ugas, right?

Well, that wasn't the plan or it was the plan I guess together with the management. Wherever he goes, I'll still support him for his matches whether it'll be just for exhibitions.
1542  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do not panic. Everything will get better on: September 17, 2022, 09:17:01 AM
Sometimes panic is easy to affect the performance of our brain. so that our minds and analyzes become dull. and it is like you said that it is patience that must be applied when panic comes. although holding back is something difficult. but at least we have to be patient until our minds become clear again to make decisions that will be taken. because if we make decisions when panicking. then the decisions we take can be wrong or wrong decisions. because it is not based on careful consideration of the results of the analysis of a clear and calm mind.
You can't be patient while panicking. You're overreacting and that's why you're panicking, you can only be patient when you're calm and that's what you need to think of when you're at the state of panic.

To remember to remain calm.

Because when you're thinking a lot of things and you're panicking at the same time, you're unlikely to be calm so, find a way to be calm.
1543  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bull Run and Bear Market on: September 17, 2022, 02:08:48 AM
All world economic falls. Now all economics falls, the price of golds and shares falls and many people lost money for investment.
It is a very difficult time for cryptocurrency industry.
Yeah, even gold's market is also plummeting. But telling people are losing money in investments, this is like a daily and normal day for all investors.

We won't lose and gain if we don't invest so, we win and lose. And that's how the matter works as we invest in different markets and assets that we have.

This bear market isn't all about suffering but all about looking at the window of opportunities that you haven't executed during the bull run.
1544  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Safari Swap-Earn 500% APY by Staking on: September 16, 2022, 11:59:19 PM
Guys, those projects that are guaranteeing with huge amount of APY and profit, you're all grown up and don't be too gullible. Do your own diligence upon researching about it.

It's okay to ask the community but having it obviously would make you think the people reading it that you're too gullible to fall for such scheme.

They may pay you a couple of months and then what's next? They'll low it down or much worse, they'll lock what you've deposited to them and you'll never have a way to recover it all.
1545  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: When betting becomes to high on: September 16, 2022, 11:27:04 PM
Have you ever had an experience betting in which you knew that you were going over the limits of you finances and still continued? I have one playing a game, it was absorbing plenty of my time and despite me knowing it, I was kind of hooked on it.
When I was still young, I do that but now that I've grown up. I make sure that I'm always aware of my finances and the allocation that I put into gambling.

I'm not getting younger and I have to enjoy but at the same time, make sure that I can pull funds out of my pocket when I want to.

It was not a financial problem, but left me wondering how easy is to actually fall into a bad habit and how difficult is to break it.
When we're feeling the sensation and joy of gambling, that's how it usually goes.
1546  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The Rise of Mobile Gambling Is Leaving People Ruined and Unable to Quit on: September 16, 2022, 10:24:05 PM
You have to set that manually for you to still be on time with how long you're using your phone, whether it's for gambling or gaming.

But that's a good idea and there are people who have been doing that to remind themselves voluntarily that they should stop once the notification and alarm rings.

this is a great way to remind yourself that your time is up to hold your phone while you are gambling or playing games.
but it seems very difficult for an addict who is already very brave to sacrifice everything to play gambling. they don't care what's going on or what's going on all he thinks about is to keep gambling until he gets what he wants until he feels the satisfaction inside the phone.
but if only for gamblers who don't have an addiction, this method is very effective as one of the easy ways to do it
You can break your own rule if you will rely on it.

I've read several confessions that have done it but it didn't worked for them when they've tried to because that's not how it is. And as an addicted gambler, no one can stop them when they're enjoying, eager and focused.

Given to non addicted gamblers, they can easily acknowledge those notifications and alarms because they're not eager and they can stop completely when it's necessary.
1547  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: No doubt POS is centralized on: September 16, 2022, 09:52:00 PM
Well, that's to be expected.

POS is POS and it isn't secured as POW. While it's already in POS, the huge addresses and players are the ones that will dominate on this matter. And we're like being held by them since they've got a huge share of the network.

We can't do anything from there and let's see on how each of the close ones to them try to achieve where they are.
1548  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: trading is good for traders with passive mindset on: September 15, 2022, 11:59:09 PM
Traders with a lot of determination, focus and patience are most likely to become successful in the end. But for those who only trade for profits and are just waiting for the opportunities to come, I guess they will be left behind as smart and passive traders will always look for opportunities where they can grow their income, and not just only waiting for it to happen.
Every trader has that quality of waiting for the profits, even investors and those speculators. We're all for the profits, no matter what qualities we have.

We all will meet in the end by having that reason.

But the difference is that those that are determined, they'll make themselves find a way to be profitable and stable in trading. They'll collect every lesson, data and experience they've gained through the losses they incurred.
1549  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The Rise of Mobile Gambling Is Leaving People Ruined and Unable to Quit on: September 15, 2022, 11:25:16 PM
The technology really affects the time duration that people who enjoy or maybe get addicted to gambling, by simply clicking the site and everything is set to go.

It's alarming and without proper control of your time and good money managements, the chance of getting broke is really high.
Time is quicker when we're in front of our gadgets and that's why it's really making us spend a lot of time using these gadgets. It's a very effective way to kill time if you don't have anything to do.

You just sit and use your gadget and then later on, an hour has already passed.

Alarming as it is when you're not worried about your usage and time. And for the bettors that uses their phone, there's not that much of a problem if it's consuming their time.
A great deal of the problem is the notification system, if you have to use your phone you just grab it and do whatever you want, however with notifications your phone is always ringing and reminding you that something is happening, most of the time what's happening is not important and it doesn't matter if you take your time and respond whenever you have time available, but this creates anxiety in people believing that they are missing something important, so they check the phone not because they actually want to do it but as a reaction to a stimulus, and if you do this enough times then it will become impossible for you to ignore those notifications, wasting a lot of time in the process.
You have to set that manually for you to still be on time with how long you're using your phone, whether it's for gambling or gaming.

But that's a good idea and there are people who have been doing that to remind themselves voluntarily that they should stop once the notification and alarm rings.

1550  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The Biggest Gainers in The Just Concluded Ethereum Merge on: September 15, 2022, 10:52:48 PM
Well, the real gainers aside from #1 to #2 are the whales. The scheme of PoS is really for them, the rich folks, and they'll be richer than ever because of it.
You are right the whales are the biggest gainers as the power to control the network have been handed over to the ethereum holder who stakes the balance of the pool to process transaction, there is one strong limitation to the proof of stake consensus which is the ability of the highest ethereum holders to control the process of transaction processing in the network. There is a fact that proof of stake will less the energy consumption by the ethereum holders and aside from this I don't see much advantage the merge has over proof of work and if we must view it closely the proof of stake favors the big bag holder who can afford to lock their funds in the staking pool for a long time and giving them the power to control the network.
It's really favoring those whales that has the most holdings and they're taking care of the network. While the little players, yeah, we also are part of it but we can't do much with it.

They're the ones that will bag more profits as they've invested more and held more Ethereum before the merge. Right now, I just hope that the network is still secured and there won't be flaws caught out with this transition.

How I wish that I was one of the people who holds a lot of ETH.
1551  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Cryptocurrency Huge Down from ATHs. what will happen the next ? on: September 15, 2022, 10:09:23 PM
Although Charlie have spoil the reputation of litecoin the year he make a public announcement about selling his hold but understand this, a coin not making a huge pump in price doesn't mean it is not good for an investment, and what is important is the altcoin's longevity. The last time Litecoin appear to be making steady price growth which is better than an overbought altcoin that will pump and dump hard.
That's true.

I think if that Charlie is still active and didn't sold all of his holdings
Yes, Charlie is still active but that was after he see the result of his decision some years ago and for the record, he sold all his LTC holdings. Although, he may later buy back after some die-hard enthusiast of LTC talks to him about the consequence of this decision.
I think he has already spent that profit he's made after selling at the top. Litecoin's ATH last year was just the same when he has sold.

there's still a chance by now that it's still one of the top 10.
Technically, LTC is one of the top 20s, and the competition in the crypto market is different from 4-6years ago. The only way LTC can claim the top 10 spots will be if they introduce something unique into the market which will solve some problem in the market or if the LTC dev team raised an army of shillers just like this Shiba inu coin team does.
If he's still there, I'm sure that he's able to maintain it on the top 10 but not anymore today. I don't think that the team will still do something like that after all the swings that it has made.

As we look at its reputation and longetivity in the market, it's still showing a strong volume.
That's why it may not be a good investment for some but for its utility being used for transactions, I think that's what is holding its ground.
I agreed and that's why I hold a couple of it but 95% of crypto enthusiasts these days are after profit and always flock to the most profitable or hyped coin.
We're all for the profit. Whatever we find in the market, that's what we think.

1554  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: September 14, 2022, 11:48:42 PM
He can always have any exhibition fight after his pro boxing career is over and this guy is a truly charitable person who always wanted to help. One of his ways is becoming to get into politics to further help others in need. Anyway, his era is over and we are now living in a different era where names like Inoue, Canelo and Haney, and others are the talks in the boxing industry. next Saturday will be a huge fight that will be one of the historical fights this year can't really wait for that. Canelo vs GGG III will finally happen.
There is no doubt that he's got a good heart but he's already past his prime and I agree that he can do exhibition matches for charity purposes if he wants to but, he can always get a cut from it.

Manny is no longer in his prime, what we have is just memories of those run when he was in top of the game for many years. No one can escape Father time not even the great and elite fighters. At least when he lost to Ugas, he knows when to stop and focus on other matters like the PH Presidential election in which he lost badly. And then the news of his return thru exhibition match against a South korean if I'm not mistaken.
Yeah, that's the news but it seems that there's no more update that I've seen about that match. But maybe within the next month, we'll see.

He tried to do what he had to do at the same time and he won at some point in time but later on Pacman realized that he is not getting any younger and should only pick one fight at a time that's why he retired after he lost to Ugas and focused on politics as he is also busy at that time for the presidential election.

Now, that he almost got all the time in the world, and just like what we've speculated, Pacman is not coming back but on an exhibition fight.
With the losses that he's made, that also made him realize that he's aged although he can still really box well. But age does really play a factor for athletes like in boxing.

If you are talking about Manny Pacquiao, his last match he really became a slug out there.  He even stated his legs are tight, meaning he has difficulty in moving.  I don't know if that is the sign of old-age where your minds are able but your body is not.  Manny may be slowed down and it was shown in his last fight.
And that's why, professional fights could be a no to him for now and he just have to accept the matches that there's not that match of stake for his professional record.
1555  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Father of Blockchain on: September 14, 2022, 11:03:44 PM
I'm pretty sure that he's got the idea elsewhere but credits to what he has done. He can be recognized in anything that the people will give him and it's for the community to give that credential whether it's the father of blockchain or just plainly one of the big contributor in the aspect of technology.

AFAIK, he's still got a project today and it's in crypto.

I just can't find it anymore but I've seen it before and it's like there's an upgrade that his team has done to it. Or I'm not sure if he's still that active on that project or he has just given the go signal to use his name.

1557  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Crypto Casinos vs money laundering. on: September 14, 2022, 09:57:03 PM
The money being used to gamble is hard to trace and determine if it's from money laundering activities but enforcing KYC will be a big help. They could freeze the account with suspicious activities but not all laundered money will be traceable. Some casinos don't mind checking their gambler's source of funds as long as they're earning.
And that's why those that have been into money laundering knows what to do and they're letting it flow to the casinos so that it won't be traceable anymore.

One reason also why gambling business has such a huge tax because of this reason and probably the government has just accepted the fact that it's hard to trace, thus taxed largely.
1558  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [POLL] After the merge the price of Ethereum will go? on: September 14, 2022, 08:52:27 PM
With the market now, I don't think that we'll see the positive reaction of its price when the merge happens. It's still known that ETH also follows the path of bitcoin.

And as what we can see right now, it doesn't look good for bitcoin so the whole market is.

We'll see, it's just a few hours left until the merge finally happens but I don't think we'll see a buff.
1559  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum The Merge on Google on: September 14, 2022, 07:56:51 PM
I'm expecting that the same thing will happen when we're near to the bitcoin halving. That's even giving more hype and excitement if ever google does that.

I am starting to doubt that it will happen. Google has obviously chosen the PoS side and pr for promoting PoW now would be just bad. I am starting to feel more and more that there will be immense pressure against PoW based coins soon.
It's not all about choosing the PoS side or Pow Side. It's all about what they're looking at the crypto market and such events are given that type of projection onto their platform.

But we will see it then, there are too many websites that are only there for the bitcoin halving countdown and they can start that when it's like a month to come and they'll just put the projection when someone searches for it.

Especially against those that consume too much electricity. At this point, i don't mind. I have zero bitcoins left and i don't believe that it can sustain itself against governments.
Okay, I see where you're coming from and maybe that will change when you start holding bitcoin again.
1560  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum The Merge on Google on: September 13, 2022, 10:39:22 AM
About google, they've became a validator for the ron network from Sky Mavis. So, this is a good sign that google is giving that way of monitoring the market from events like the merge for Ethereum.

I'm expecting that the same thing will happen when we're near to the bitcoin halving. That's even giving more hype and excitement if ever google does that.

Well, these big tech companies are already in and showing that they're no longer ignoring the crypto market and the updates that happens within it.
