1561  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Your Gambling Life During Quarantine on: May 08, 2020, 08:56:20 PM
This is what they do in my neighborhood too. Instead of gambling online, they still prefer to gather in someones house then play Mahjong or cards(tong its, pusoy, in between). They chose being sneaky even its dangerous, because they're bored. I hope no one is a carrier. We play cards too but only with other family members because we wouldn't want to go out.

That kind of game are very popular in the Philippines, and this kind of gamblers attitude we normally see in rural areas.
Yes, they maybe not aware of the risk they are taking, they are willing to go out play with other people just to kill their boredom, I think that is unacceptable, and I believe gambling is illegal in the Philippines under the Enhance Community Quarantine (ECQ) or even the GCQ.
Yes it is popular for the Filipinos Im playing the traditional gambling in my home sometimes but because I play through online I can play only few times in a month because Im focus in playing through online. It is illegal right now like mahjong many people will go to prison because they caught playing that game even they know it's not open to play in public even in private  so if we feel boredom we can play online .
I can't blame those people, they just wanted to kill the boredom but since we're under ECQ/GCQ, it's not preferable especially if someone's gonna go on the other street just to play gambling. People should learn how to stay at their homes because the ECQ will be extended again due to non-stop increase of confirmed cases here in the Philippines.

I guess it's fine if you're playing with your relatives or friends in your private places, as long as it's for entertainment purposes and no money involved in that game. Liquor ban wasn't also implemented in some cities so the same goes for gambling. The only illegal thing right now is not complying with the law which is the Bayanihan act of 2020. If you don't have a business on the outside, just stay at home.

1562  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling and health 🤕symptoms on: May 08, 2020, 08:28:00 PM
That's likely the effect of gambling addiction as no gambler would just gamble all day, sometimes this addiction would not allow us to sleep since we don't have a peace of mind, therefore these addicts will try do drugs and drink so they can be calm and they'll be able to sleep when they are too drunk.
You talk like all gamblers are also alcoholics. While this may be true for most of them, I think not all are like this. There are also gamblers that know what they are doing and not losing control on anything. Not on their health, not on their finances.
It is possible to be a responsible gambler. You don't need to lose your health.
Maybe in gambling for them alcohol, drugs and drugs is normal when playing but this is for irresponsible addictions because their emotions are out of control so what they want will be done to calm their minds so this is what makes health not improved even always lead to ration.

Gambling can still be done consciously and I think this has been done a lot here, I'm sure the gambling lovers here will be more responsible for how to play their money in betting.
Some people are using drugs to keep them calm when gambling and that's one of the signs that they're very impatient and already a gambling addict. Also, it'll lead to the worst situation, which is he might get addicted to drugs or alcohol too.

So every time he's playing gambling, he'll now look for those partners of gambling, which drugs and alcohol and that are massive destructions to your life.
1563  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you keep track of your gambling? how? on: May 08, 2020, 08:10:55 PM
In my perspective it's only a fun way to entertain myself and to lose steam from a stressful day especially these days when im really bored due to the lockdown i keep myself busy with various things such as movies, mobile games and gambling. I dont like doing extra work like having records in my spreadsheet, it will only lead to ovethinking and anxiety perhaps gambling sites could add history of bets made by an individual player to keep track.
Yes probably that is right because if our purpose is for fun only for sure you spending a little amount of money so there is no need for us to compute in the spreadsheet or anything to see how much we lose and how much we esrn money because once you compute all your money using in gambling and you saw you lose big amount of money you trigger to get back it and high chance for you to to play more and once you play agaib another will risk to your money.
Same goes with me, I don't want to keep track of all of my doings in gambling and so I will able to forget about it easily when I lose. I'm just gambling for entertainment so there's no need for me to track those.

When I seeing numbers, It'll just put pressure on me to gamble more and get back what I've lost recently. Instead of enjoying, you'll just be stressed about gambling.
1564  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: CS:GO and Betting on: May 08, 2020, 06:21:31 PM
It's almost not happening anymore because the whole esports industry thing is getting wider and wider as it goes by so, the athletes or mainly the competitive and professional players are serious with their careers and won't allow themselves to be involved in this kind of scheme.
The teams or players that becomes part of this scheme lately are the rising talents or in short, the newly born talents with potential and it's been put into waste.
I guess match-fixing still occurs, it's being done pretty clean nowadays so that nobody can assess that kind of scheme. Not only in CS:GO, but also in other eSports tournaments, particularly in MOBA. Before they qualify for an international competition, every region competes for a slot. So if a strong team is able to exploit the entire bracket by match-fixing, they will select which team to represent the country with them in the international tournament. It's a cheap tactic to be used due to the extreme desperation of winning an international league with a huge pot.
It still occurs but chances are slimmer these days. If the players involve plans to get in to the competitive scene, they will not create a ruckus like this that they will regret forever.
I have witnessed a lot of talents that do have the potential but suddenly fell into the pit because of not thinking doing this. This is for the other e-sporting events that I also play.
Well, due to the current ability of eSports players today, they can run it cleanly as what I said at some point, that is common for them and we really have no clue about it. Being an eSports professional is a short-term profession because they won't be a pro gamer in their whole life, some eSports careers are just 3-4 years out, so it's easier to be realistic and do their best in the league.
1565  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Where to start? on: May 08, 2020, 05:42:16 PM
Like what I've said in other topics.
The true purpose of this platform wasn't really made for earning bitcoins. There are plenty of platforms that are made for earning bitcoins with benefits so better go those sites and stay there. I guess it'll be hard for you if your mindset is just to earn bitcoin on this platform.
This wasn't originally made for earning income and you can't consider it as a real job with a monthly gross.

If you really want to earn, the only thing is participating in signatures, services, and other bounties but before that, you must gain a lot of experience. I guess its better to study more about cryptocurrency and if you think you deserve to earn money while coordinating with others to produce good discussion, it will come to you.

Maybe he's a first-timer, and he's disappointed not to win the $7,000 that's already close to his pocket. But, yeah, you don't need to be stunned because you should know that losing is normal in gaming, no matter what game it is, if you don't have any luck, you'll lose.
Admittedly, luck is an extremely important factor in any game. Although for some games we can calculate probabilities, there is no 100% guarantee that everything will work out at that rate. So luck is needed.
Even if it has a good probability of winning, measured by the odds, there's always a risk to fail if we're not lucky. So, yes, luck is important to any game of gambling.

I don't know if there are any online gambling platforms that have bigger rewards than Freebitcoin, although the duration of a round is very long, the prize is a car that everyone dreams of getting. I also bought a few tickets and waited for the round to end  Cheesy
[/quote]As far as I know, freebitco.in is one of the gambling platforms that has more benefits and big rewards so we're lucky enough to be on its campaign. Goodluck to us.
1567  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [ BOXING ]: Fury vs Wilder III in Las Vegas on 18th July 2020 !!! on: May 08, 2020, 04:39:45 PM
I certainly agree with you on that, Wilder is challenged here, he still believe he can beat Fury so that's interesting if we can see him knock down the guy who beat him twice, lol... I am sure this is a hell of a fight, just like the last 2 fights although it was never favored Wilder but a desperate man will show everything he got in this last fight.
I have a different opinion here, Wilder is not challenged but he is not yet ready to accept the defeat, there is a big difference Wink. Every fighter will have the confidence to beat anyone, but need to have the technical skills and a fight IQ when you are facing top competition and everyone know how to box but how you handle the situation during a fight determines the winner.
If Wilder can show a dimension he never showed that would be interesting.

True, but as the saying goes, "you can't teach old dogs new tricks". Deontay Wilder has been throughout in his career banking on his powerful right hand. They even hype it as weapon of mass destruction when he had a run and just knocking people out. But it was a different scenario when you fight a technical and savvy skill boxer like Tyson Fury. He didn't adjust even in the second fight. He thinks that he will just walk out out there again and knock Fury out. But it was not the case as Fury uses his boxing skill and Wilder didn't adjust and I don't think he can in the trilogy.
Yeah, like what's going on in the games, there's something called meta. The abilities of the new generation are that massively, which means that there are many newborns who are more competent and capable in this form of sport due to its sports development. I don't admire people who are so sure that even his target is already over, that they should adopt and train so that they can parry against those boxers who have more ability for this kind of sport.

Still rooting for fury.
1568  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will You Play? on: May 08, 2020, 02:17:31 PM
If that kind of casino exists, there may be an extra reason for you to play gambling.

Entertain yourself by playing, and at the same time help other people in need. Also, the name of the casino will now be recognized so people will get a positive view to players because the donation comes from them, it's a win-win scenario.

But for some who gamble for earning a profit, it might be a disadvantage for them. For example, I win $5000 then a $250 will be given to the charity, it's very huge so maybe it should have a range and 5% is the maximum.

There was a gambling video I remembered where this guy won a 0.04% $7,000 dollars jackpot against another fella. The loser just looked stunned for several seconds.
I agree that winning some money is praiseworthy, but for those who don't win, there's nothing to be stunned  Cheesy Recently, I have read some news about the luckiest man: Frane Selak. Was $ 7,000 worth being stunned for his luck or other?  NO  Cheesy Winning a grand prize in the biggest lottery will be something anyone's dreams. Luck will smile on everyone, so no need to be stunned or surprised, go ahead  Cheesy But first, to win, buy your lottery ticket on FreeBitcoin. Looking at my signature, a lamborghini is waiting for you  Tongue

1570  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will bitcoin be the ideal currency of the future? on: May 08, 2020, 01:02:05 PM
Bitcoin can not be an ideal currency for the globe. Going by all that you listed, bitcoin even falls short as it is. Already it has delay transactions which some altcoins easily can solve. Alts like BTC2 and Litecoin have a speed of light transaction rates. Some people have argued that what is keeping bitcoin on top of the list till now is because it is the pioneer crypto. They believe that one day bitcoin may lose that position.
It makes sense because certain economies in various countries can't afford to lose capital, so it's going to be hard for them if the BTC wasn't stable like the current crypto market situation, which is quite volatile. It would also be challenging for consumers if the price of BTC is not constant and it also needs market awareness for each customer in order to adjust the use of BTC.

And it made me think that it's really difficult for bitcoin to be the perfect currency.
1571  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin popped $10 000 on: May 08, 2020, 12:16:04 PM
I was asleep when the bitcoin reaches 10k dollars peak.

Expecting that the bull run will be earlier than we're expecting by next year. We are comparing the season of 2016-2017 to 2020-2021 which both years halving happened.
If bitcoin will start hitting $15,000 there will be serious pull backs like what we've seen last year when it's able to reach $13,000. But if it will break $15,000 then it's a serious case by that time and we're all talking about moon, lambos and bulls.
Yeah agree, we must always check the market if the bitcoin will go through $15,000 if not then maybe better hold before it reaches down to $10,000 peak again.

It's good to see Bitcoin going up and touching 10k$ barrier. May it cross its ATH of 19k$. I suggest to be a bit wiser this time and don't go for panic buying at this price. I know FOMO is driving most of us to buy due to halving speculations. But let the price settle somewhere, otherwise we may be struck at a high price.
Yeah, it'll give a massive loss if you panic buy at $9k peak, the bitcoin doesn't give any sign that it will surpass the ATH.
1572  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: EVOLUTION OF SIGNATURE AD CAMPAIGNS (BEGINNING DAYS TO THE PRESENT) on: May 08, 2020, 11:11:44 AM
Woah, digging all the campaigns from the start, too much effort man.

If I've known bitcointalk in those times since I'm only visiting some gaming forums, I would be a millionaire now if I keep them and sell them last 2017, where the bitcoin ATH was $19,665. Well, I believe that during those days, signature campaigns have a very important role to play in publicizing those crypto platforms and promoting their meaning in the public. The cryptocurrency market side was always a force in growing bitcoin's success.
1573  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Merit isn't everything in bitcointalk! on: May 07, 2020, 08:20:37 PM
Actually what I wanted to tell is, if you are not making enough merits even after you are giving your maximum effort doesn't mean that you are not deserved to be on bitcointalk at someday you will get caught by the merits sources until that keep posting and learn new things which you are being yourself.
So this means, there are still users who do not receive merit even though they do have the highest capacity to make posts?
Well, I guess it's the responsibility of the system, as, on some other boards, the circulation of merit was very low, and I doubt that any good posters on that board would earn merit.

I guess they're supposed to adopt other boards to earn merit if that's what they want. If they're very good posters, they can apply it on different boards. Cryptocurrency is a wide-ranging subject, and you can create essential topics or posts that are connected to it.
What if that local poster is not good at English, they might use translators but most of the time google translate mess up with the translation and change the whole meaning of the statement so people think that user is spamming or having low level knowledge.
I doubt someone does not know the basic English language. I joined this forum with a low level of English knowledge because it is one of my most despised subjects, but now I have learned to type in English by doing it on the international boards.

And on top of that, most of the advertisements, crypto platforms and some features of this forum were written in English so I doubt they don't even know the basics. If someone doesn't really know English, this forum also features free ebooks or even google books that will let you learn it.

A number of good posts is more important than number of merit. Even you'll have a lot of merit, you can don't have enough messages yet to promote the rang
Well, it's true if the good posts are not common, extraordinary, and have a good meaning. If a good post doesn't have those qualities that I've mentioned then I guess it's not a good post 'cause if it's really a quality then someone might give even single merit already if it's really a good post.
1575  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: As a beginner look up more boards as much as you can on: May 07, 2020, 07:38:21 PM
If you're an obsessive reader on different things, go and check all those boards, just don't let other people do the same thing to you. We can freely go to a specific board that we can concentrate on as a Gambling Discussion whether you're a full-time gambler or a Bitcoin Topic if you want to learn more about BTC. We have different preferences on topics, which is why a lot of boards have been produced so that users can select what gets them interested.

For starters, Beginners & Help is the answer, there are already a lot of spoon-feeding topics on that board. If you want more knowledge about BTC, I think it's easier to watch documentaries than to look at the BTC discussion, since the basic info about BTC was already in the back pages.

You need to rank up and gain a lot of merits before joining a campaign here but most of the BTC campaigns accept quality posters or users that have a lot of qualifications.

Also, this platform is not inactive, it's very active since its opening and this is the most active forum. When we say "forum", probably more on discussions and topics about cryptocurrency.
1577  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How bitcoins is helping during the lockdown on: May 07, 2020, 07:20:20 PM
Bitcoin is really a save haven and this pandemic has proved that. In has been the one I have been using in term of assistance since all banks are closed. We are in an era of financial freedom.

Whether this is true or not, we can only see when we look back when all this disaster ends. At the moment, Bitcoin is showing positive changes and really looks like one of the most sustainable assets.
But this is only at first glance. In the past, we saw how this stability fell before our eyes for several months. Therefore, it is impossible to say unequivocally that bitcoin now, for example, is better than gold, the price of which is also growing.

Gold is a good asset and maybe more essential than bitcoin to some people since they're still occupied by their traditional thinking.

Actually, it is true that bitcoin is a safe haven during a pandemic, I managed to buy some essentials through bitcoin. Without it, It'll be hard for me to buy those essentials that will keep us safe and survive during a crisis, It's already proven by many people. I guess it's better to have a digital asset that can be used to transact online.
1578  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: You own a decent amount of Bitcoin, How would you increase it on: May 07, 2020, 07:14:38 PM
Greeting all,

I own a decent amount of Bitcoins which were made honestly with right investment & timing since 2012.
During 2017 until 2019, i invested in many different projects and 99% of my investment got wiped almost instantly during 2019.

I did recover some of my losses with the IEO hype but it seems the IEO hype is over now.
I know the right answer is to HODL and just let the sit back and relax but it wont grow my Bitcoins amount.

I read about many so called Bitcoin Banks, Projects,  who promise you 3% interest annually, simply don't believe in holding your bitcoins in one place for such a long time.

So how would you increase your bitcoins?

Since I am short of resources after I constructed my house. I am now focusing on bounty/signature campaign to earn more tokens and at the same time earn bitcoins. My time as ICO consultant is over due to the strict competition amongs ICO's the later projects were not good if it was not a failure it would be a low paying one. I will also add affiliate commission from gambling sites, trading and  other online jobs. Right now I do feel that the bitcoin bull will wake up soon and I am starting to collect more bitcoins before it will happen.

I don't think you're the only one in this situation. I just hope that the ICO will be worth the action. As for BTC and investment ... Now it is only worth waiting for BTC to grow again and probably will be ...

I guess waiting for bounties in altcoin will give you the amount of money you desire. Some of them are scams and bounty rewards take a lot of time before sending to the participants. I hope you guys are on the right track and on the right campaign to earn and invest more in Bitcoin.

Halving is already near, you guys must save more bitcoins to earn a lot.
1579  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 26 days to the halving left, what are you expecting? on: May 07, 2020, 06:35:49 PM
7 Days left until the great bitcoin halving!

According to some articles, the ATH of the hash rate is 140 exahash per second in mining. So I guess the bitcoin pump will occur this 2020 after the bitcoin halving. There are 2 factors that you must now have faith in BTC's surge, first is the hash rate which is obviously increasing then the BTC's price.

Just 8 days remain for the block reward halving and I am getting more and more skeptical with every passing day. The prices have risen by 20% during the last couple of weeks. But I was expecting a more long-lasting spike before the reward halving. And another thing is that the volumes have remained at low levels and there seems to be a lack of enthusiasm in the market.
Quite honestly this was to be expected, many people want to see a bull run and it is not as if I do not understand why but at the same time we are in the middle of a crisis in which tens of millions of people around the world have lost their jobs in a matter of months, the economies of the world are going to contract, the stock market crashed and most likely this is only the beginning so it will be kind of illogical for cryptocurrencies to grow up in value that much.
Even we're on a crisis, BTC already manages to climb up in 9k peak. So at some point, BTC's surge is still possible.
1580  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Recent Corona Virus Scams on: May 07, 2020, 06:09:59 PM
We just had a warning from the local police.

Someone is calling people in our area telling them the law is they must buy some face masks.

Then they get scammed.

Weird scam.

People will still take advantage of this pandemic that we're facing so I doubt this COVID-19 will be cured easily if some people are still being greedy during a crisis. They're using the term law even though they're the one who disobeys it, so much hate to those kinds of people.

Even on the internet, there are many scams popped up in social media.
