^this....no one is denying that Bitmain are not cocksuckers. They have been playing everyone since the start...their own customers, the markets, and even Charlie if they don't end up signaling in the next 24 hours...

Interesting, Price increase on July Batch -- now $1644, up from $1370
Robbing Peter to Pay Paul. Who do you think is paying for partial refunds? Looks like the May batch was quite the Deal if they ever decide to ship them out.

The BIOS just contains memory straps for both Hynix and Elpida memory.

I hacked together a prototype tank for some testing a while back. This is just a simple open loop design (just runs and dumps cold water through the coil). Have some more ASICs coming so maybe ill modify this with a real closed loop design. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p5-BaH8_SAk

Anyone who bought these miners from them should be screaming bloody murder. He is using your money and machines to destroy the coin and your profits all for a personal vendetta.
Ive been in crypto for a while, and have seen my share of disgusting behavior...but this has to be near the top.

For mem straps, we can probably do the same as now - Copy straps from 2 timings lower. 1625 > 1750 & 2000 for 8GB cards. 1500 > 1625 & 1750 for 4GB cards. Voltage and clocks will be a matter of trial & error & preference.
Except you wont have polarisbioseditor to do it Better start learning how to do it by hand.

No one really knows? Talk about a red flag......
Nobody bothers to answer. It is simple. If they would use all their hardware themselves they would dominate the network, LTC would crash and everyone looses. Could they not create other pools, or direct hash elswhere to make it look like a totally separate entity is mining not under bitmains control? They already have, its called LTC1BTC. This is why the only non segwit signaling pools are Antpool and LTC1BTC...

288 chips on each unit. 1M chips around 3.5k units. That sounds realistic.
Yep, I neglected to consider the 288 chips per rig. My bad. Ok, I can see how 3.5k units could sell out in a day. If anyone has second thoughts, please let me know as I would like to get one if possible. Based on my estimated size per chip, they are probably producing 100k chips per wafer batch. So about 300-500 units per batch. This is inline with the first L3 batch that bumped hashrate up by about 200-300 GH. To be safe figure they are producing 500 per batch, for a total of 1,500 units for the 3 batches. Your looking at least 750 GH of hashrate added to network. So at least 3.5 TH by July. I would base any ROI calculations on that. And of course you can assume they'll do what they did with the L3 buyers that got screwed...sell double the hashrate miner for half the cost in july again

Sure your points are valid, and in the grand scheme of things it does not really matter. Its mostly due to the fact that I have 30GH worth of resources I can redirect to this cause (which is a significant portion of Litecoin's Hashrate), .....
A long time ago someone (or may be it was you i can not even remeber ) told me that it will took you a week to patch and setup your own (solo) pool. Considering the fact that you have significant portion of Litecoin's Hashrate i am wandering how many years have to pass before you setup your own pool You can always consider the option to join my pool with SIGWIT. Besides, doing so with such significant portion of Litecoin's Hashrate you will have less variance in payments and you will get 99.5% of each LTC block + 95.0% of each DOGE block. The beauty of it is that your rewards are generated directly at your address..Any way this is just an option haha well thats exactly what I just did...got fed up with all the games pools have been playing www.arisechickun.com And yea took me a few hours to set that up...obviously it uses the stock UNOMP interface and most of its code...I just modified the stratum side and fixed some segwit stuff. Unfortunately I have been super busy with otherstuff so don't have much time to play around with pool stuff.

Thanks again guys - had clam checker scan the wallet, and as suspected, it was worthless. Hard drive can now get tossed with no doubts. EDIT: Found another older hard drive I was thinking about discarding with more wallets I had forgotten about.... I know the feeling...to this day I know I had mined some bitcoins on my CPU back in 2011 (probably not much but still worth hundreds today), and I have no idea what happed to that wallet or where it is.

They put ASICBOOST on their scrypt chips as well, so as soon as segwit activates, these will only hash at 300 MH

Would be fun to make some more USB sticks out of these

This pool is obviously dead and does not support segwit, but for some reason there is still 5GH of hash power mining on it. I just launched a new segwit pool for litecoin so if your still on here switch to arisechickun.com!

Arise my little chicklets ARISE!!! ---> www.arisechickun.comThere is a massive battle going on against the evil chinese pool operators (and their western pawns) attempting to block segwit support on Litecoin. Everyone with half a brain understands the only reason Litecoin finally has some real potential to it is because of the possibility of segwit activating on its network and taking advantage of it before bitcoin. I have therefore unleashed my contribution to the cause...AriseChickun.com...the first litecoin pool powered by Chickun miners!! Ok with all Chickun references aside, the pool is fully segwit compliant and ALL of its blocks will be 100% signaling segwit and segwit compatible. No BS politics, just a simple 0% fee, PROP PPS pool. The front end needs some work (just using UNOMPS stock UI), but I beefed up the stratum server and its working great. Stressed tested it with over 30GH of hash power and also found the first segwit block of the pool! https://insight.litecore.io/block/ad9abb8480e406626cb1c887bc35191233a59b2d1d15ec6976ee92797e277169So calling all miners...take out your old ASICS, USB Sticks, and even GPUs..we only need about 5-10% additional hash power to get segwit activated! I am contributing about 10-30 GH to the cause, lets get the pool over 50GH and have it be a contributing factor in getting segwit activated! If you are on ANY of these pools, switch out and join the Chickuns!! - Prohashing
- WemineLTC
- LiteGuardian
- LTC1BTC
- BW.com
- Antpool
- ViaLTC
Pool info below: To get started point your stratum software to the address below:
stratum+tcp://stratum.arisechickun.com:3032 (var diff port)
Username: Your LTC address
Password: anything
If you are using rental hashpower, or directing a large hashrate to pool (over 1GH) please use port 3160 which has a fixed diff of 32k

This seems like a very reasonable deal? Is there some hidden catch? Also, can anyone explain to me the $500 difference between buying first batch and second? It it simply because they think the difficulty will rise substantially following second batch? Just wondering. Thanks. Anyone have suggestions on hosting options? Yes of course there is a hidden catch...I was caught of guard as well by the price (lower than the original L3 at twice the hash power?). Its obvious bitmain is prepping to dump these on the market. Scrypt hash power will tripple in the next 2-3 months. Don't forget that they are also taking advantage of the recent price hikes to make it look like this is a super deal. Dont think that this LTC price will last forever (though I hope I'm wrong).

FYI Bitmain will officially announce L3 on worldwide site this week. Make sense why east shore pulled their latest batch. They are taking advantage of this price hike and selling the overpriced miners themselves.

Im done with this snake-oil thread.
jstefanop Has not followed through with any promises of info.... which is the only reason I keep checking this thread for a honest answer.
Good troll my friend. PM me if anything real hits the table, till then, I am done reading this garbage.
Im sure theres many others in the same boat as I am.
Woah there...this is exactly why I don't like announcing anything until I'm ready. I simply made a few posts about what I'm working on, and ill announce when its ready. I got caught up with the whole Litecoin fiasco in the past two weeks so I fell a bit behind, and I shouldn't have posted about getting more info out.

Before throwing away an old drive, I found an old litecoinqt file.
Also a .bat wallet backup, which I am unable to open.
It is currently synching - it is at 280 weeks, old stuff....
I believe it is empty, but when I put the addy into Litecoin Explorer it shows blank - no info at all.
Does the qt need to synch before the addy shows up with any balance?
(Again, most likely it has a zero balance, just wanted to check before throwing the disk away.)
The blockchain IS the wallet...if its not on the blockchain, its definitely wont magically show up in your wallet. Thats not to say there is nothing in your wallet...wallets store coins in multiple addresses, so it could be that you havent checked the right address.
