innosillicon has been acting rather sketchy lately....

Very interested buyer here. When and where can I get these?
I have 100 I’ll sell you them 1.55 LTC each to LbT1xCeKt6qj4t8d47AecZN7pCUAsPBmeJ

Yea watch out...this guy is most likely a scammer..I haven't sold 100 to this guy, and non of my distributors sold 100 units to a single buyer I know of.
1365  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Ethereum post-PoS scenario on: October 26, 2017, 04:04:13 PM
Firstly, you will need to own 2000 eth to be a node and to be able to generate a profit once PoS kicks in...

That requirement was set when eth was $7 per coin...will most likely be under 100 coins if price remains where it is.
1366  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Launching the Antminer L3+, World's Most Powerful and Efficient Litecoin Miner on: October 26, 2017, 03:55:09 PM
Actually GMO claims that their 7nm SHA256 boards will produce 8TH@300W. Of course it's not going to happen tommorrow, more like 1.5 year from now.
I would have to see that to believe it. The S9 went to 13.5Th/s at 1300 w from the S7 doing 4.37 Th/s at 1300 watts at the wall. The progression curve is likely flattening at this juncture instead of steepening I would guess. Less Hashing gains with less power consumption efficiency. I could be wrong but if I am not that would truly be MIRACULOUS!!!
.....also...GMO has never even done this before right? Waaaay easier said than done!! Ask Innosilicon.....or Baikal.....or Panda.... or....well, you get the picture.

Its a 7nm chip so purely on gains from 16nm->7nm its easily believable. What the issue is with what they are doing is they are going the KNC route...large dies with crazy hash power per chip etc (remember neptune/titan?). This is definitely bound to be a disaster especially for a new company getting into mining. They haven't learned the lesson yet that large dies just don't work for mining.
1367  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [SOLD OUT!] FutureBit Moonlander 2 Official Pre-order Thread on: October 24, 2017, 11:49:27 PM
All distributors will have additional first batch stock once i start shipping these in about a week.
1368  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Mining disaster with 34 L3+ ASICs, need some serious help!!!! on: October 22, 2017, 03:27:01 AM
Why would you overclock these the day you get them? If you had them at 600 MH thats a massive overclock, not a "moderate" one. Sounds like your garage fan going off cause them to overheat...you probably blew the fets on your boards or worse. What temps were inside your garage, and what temps were the boards reporting before this happened?
1369  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] FutureBit Moonlander 2: The Most Powerful and Efficient USB Stick Miner! on: October 20, 2017, 10:55:55 PM
If anyone wants to sell me some of these.... I would be willing to buy up to 50 of them!!!

Keep in mind all distributors listed in the pre-order thread will have more units in stock at the beginning of Nov. I wouldn't buy second hand until all batch 1 orders are sold out, since you'll probably end up paying alot more. Obviously immediate stock wont be selling at the pre-order price, but I'm trying to keep fair prices.

We did it this way to keep a few guys from buying up all the stock then selling it for twice the price when they get them.

@jstefanop

i'm like a little kid right before christmas ... are some of the first (pre order) batch in production already, or still waiting for your chips to arrive?

i'm happy i were able to order one first batch and 1 from eyeboot Wink

First test run of 50 units is produced...but that was mostly to check my PCBs and production process from the sample chips I had. Main chip order is scheduled to be delivered next week, and everything is ready for me to start spitting these out Smiley

Technical question: with the new BiTG = Bitcoin Gold forking to make it ASIC resistant. And given that Scrypt was once ASIC resistant, would you or your chip supplier be able to make an ASIC for Bitcoin Gold?

Just because a coin is marked ASIC resistant doesn't mean it is.  I recently saw that when Scrypt first came out, it was pointed out that Scrypt was not "memory hard" enough to prevent GPU usage.  And it wasn't.  Was that intentional by the creator?  Possibly.  A lot of people think alt coins are scams.  And, truly, most of them are.

M
Hi thanks for the clarification but back to the question: can he or can't he make an ASIC for bitcoin gold?

Yea I probably can...just need about 10 million USD lol
1373  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: How bad is breathing in air from GPU's? on: October 16, 2017, 06:48:55 PM
What about radiation or stuff like that? I have 20 GPUs in my apartment.

Yes, hot air mixed in with extremely toxic chemicals, beta and alpha radiation emissions due to the ghz frequencies, as well as proton emission decays due to the unique ethereum algorithm computation that happens inside the GPU will most likely fry your brain within a week if you stay within 100ft of more than 10 GPUs.

With 20 you should be dead already...
1374  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] FutureBit Moonlander 2: The Most Powerful and Efficient USB Stick Miner! on: October 13, 2017, 07:29:41 PM
So this wont work if I just plug it in to my pc's usb ports?

It will, just past ~3.5 MH you'll start pulling more than an Amp from USB ports. Comes down to what kind of motherboard/computer you have...some ports are built for 2A+ per port, and others can only do 500ma before they will shut the device down because of too much power draw.
1375  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] FutureBit Moonlander 2: The Most Powerful and Efficient USB Stick Miner! on: October 13, 2017, 05:18:01 PM
PLEASE GUYS I NEED TO BUY HUBS FOR 100 OF THESE MINERS CAN ANYONE TELL ME WHERE TO GET THEM FROM. cheapest please!!

Many thanks

Awesome looking product hoping to grab a few of these when they become available again in the EU. Im confused as to why anyone would spend $7000 euros on usb miners when the combined hashing power is not much more than an l3?

Is there any news when the next batch of these will be available?

As long as manufacturing goes smoothly at the end of this month, ill be able to place an additional chip order and probably have another batch ready within a month.

Anyone try the new 17.10 drivers? Here is to hoping AMD will finally make the blockchain fix part of the main driver.

Are this hardware available in south asia ? I want to try this and it's quite interesting. And what coin can be mined with this hardware ?

Here you go, just added an Asia distributor and they have stock (limit 2 per order).

1378  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [SOLD OUT!] FutureBit Moonlander 2 Official Pre-order Thread on: October 12, 2017, 05:26:38 PM
Happy to announce I have signed on two additional distributors that have VERY limited stock for the initial pre-order.

klintay from eyeboot serving the Asia region: https://www.eyeboot.com/futurebit-moonlander2-litecoin-miner.html

Bitmart serving the South Africa and surrounding countries: https://www.bitmart.co.za/product/moonlander-2-5mhs-usb-scrypt-miner/

I also am working with someone in Australia to serve Austrilia/New Zealand so stay tuned for that!

Please DO NOT order from here if you do not live in these regions. These guys are set up to serve all the people that expressed interest in these regions but could not order from my western distributors.

Shipping/general update here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2125643.msg22879343#msg22879343

Short version is that I finally have ASIC ship date to me on on the 30th, so production and shipments will start that week, so all of you will have your Batch 1 orders in hand by mid Nov.
