And that's it, Meralco Bolts wins the series via 94-81 against Magnolia Hotshots and will be back in the Finals of the Governors Cup for a rematch with Brgy. Ginebra. The memories of the 2019 Governors Cup Finals are one of the moments that Meralco won't surely forget. Meralco in the Finals will now erase some speculations that there will be "bigayan" in the Finals because the "Manila Clasico" is the rivalry of the same company.

Expecting odds for Game 1 will be close because of the dominance that Meralco has shown against the Top Seed Magnolia in the Semis.

Congrats to all bettors. Didn't able to place my bet because of Friday Madness lol.

That "Bigayan" thing will be forgotten now, the expected manila classico did not happen, Meralco is more eager to win the game.

Bad luck for Magnolia, Harris did try but that last fall is not tolerable anymore and he needs to rest up and let all the locals to try

beating the rallying Bolts. It's a good thing since these two teams have that past history,

They again have a chance to win against the Ginebra which they fail most of the time when they meet. It's a tough challenge for them as Ginebra has a more experienced roster and they also have the better import. I'm not sure if they could last until game 7 but I hope they will work hard, especially their import.

Quote
it would be nice for Meralco to continue and again try to disappoint another SMC franchise.

Meralco => SMB
Meralco => Magnolia
Meralco => Ginebra? ( let's find out)
1602  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Casimero vs Butler ordered by WBO on: April 01, 2022, 10:46:46 AM

As for me, I wouldn't put weight on that information, I still believe that this fight will go based on the schedule.
there still no updated information about these fights after casimero being transported on an ambulance and admitted to a hospital on the same day as the weigh-ins.
And base on his youtube channel he still on ill but it was 4 months ago when i saw that, so i hope he's ok now and this fight will be reschedule again within this yesr..

I think he's fine now as he is back on his training and I believe this time Casimero vs Butler will happen. For sure he will not miss the chance to have good fight this year since he need to prove something to get more bigger fights as he want to fight Inoue, for sure many fans are waiting so if you guys want to follow or get some updates about him visit is youtube channel since he is actively posting his shits there.

He is really chasing Inoue, and if he will not fight and win the fight, that would mean Inoue would not anymore give him the chance. The big fight between Inoue and Donaire will happen in June, so Casimero has to win his fight so he will just be waiting for the winner of the big fight.
1603  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: April 01, 2022, 10:24:26 AM
The odds for Magnolia seem not worth placing a bet. They are heavy Favorites, not even close to the @1.8 ML odds that I'm expecting.

Maybe a good pick for Magnolia Hotshots -5.5 @ 1.89.

They are likely to repeat their dominant gameplay last game. Magnolia won't allow Meralco to pass them and have a trip to the Finals.

Good luck to that . Smiley Smiley Smiley

Mate, I'm on the other side, so may the best team wins. Right now, Magnolia is leading but I believe that Meralco will not give up and they'll not allow what happened in the last game. This should be a close game and I hope that Meralco will win.
1604  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are Your Kids Aware Of Bitcoin? Teach Them. on: March 31, 2022, 09:35:17 PM
Money management and financial knowledge is a must, no matter what your job is your degree or your hobby. Most of kids doesn't know anything about investment, at least teach them about money management and saving. When they already teenager, you can start slowly teach about investment... but not force him about Bitcoin only, you can explain the other investment assets e.g. gold, stock, real estate etc. It's up to your kids to choose which investment they prefer.
Kids these days are smarter compared to the old generation, plus everything today can be found in the internet that makes most of the kids become tech savvy. However, teaching them about how money works will lead them how to value money and start saving them. That way, they will be more open on how to make money and making investments in the future. Not only in bitcoin, but generally in all types of investments.

What we need is to instill in their minds the freedom to make money and that they can find them more in bitcoin. If we can teach them about bitcoin, it will give them an advantage on how to gain bitcoin and grow its value.
1605  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you spend crypto? If yes, for what? on: March 31, 2022, 08:58:33 PM
Here's a question to the audience. Do you actually buy stuff with crypto, like services or goods? If yes, what kind?

I've recently got a Binance card to play around with and use it to pay for everyday expenses. Works pretty well.
No. I still use fiat in all of my purchases because there are still no physical stores in my place that are accepting crypto. But even if there are some, i will still prefer to keep it as an investment. Unless if its really necessary to buy that certain thing and i have no available funds in fiat, then i have no choice but to spend part of my crypto hodlings.  Spending crypto will only mean keeping a fiat that keeps depreciating, so i'd still keep it instead.
1606  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [BOXING]: RYAN GARCIA vs EMMANUEL TAGOE - April 9 on: March 31, 2022, 03:11:43 PM

I'm pretty sure that Garcia is already planning ahead that's why they choose to fight an unknown fighter. If he wins this, that would convince the team that he is ready for a bigger challenge, probably against a real champion with a real chance to beat him.

Is it just me I just noticed but this fight is not getting enough hype or attention, yes it's Ryan's comeback but compared to other fights it's not getting hype, both fighters are nice to each other in the conference Tagoe is very excited for the match he wants to go with the fight in the conference but it's not yet the fight and promoters don't want fighters to fight for free, it seems Tagoe want to hype, we'll see in the weight in.

Yes, because it's not like the old fights of Garcia where he fights a popular fighter. Tagoe might have a good record but he is not popular in the boxing world, but let's see how the sales would go as the fight is approaching. I'm sure this fight would still be profitable although not as big as the previous fights of Ryan Garcia.
1607  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Casimero vs Butler ordered by WBO on: March 31, 2022, 01:53:13 PM
So I guess we really have to wait now, those social media are trying to messed up everything.

if that information coming from social media is not official, we should not consider it as legit information that could potentially cancel or move the fight. This was already announced before, it was official and that simple tweet would not change kill the official announcement.

As for me, I wouldn't put weight on that information, I still believe that this fight will go based on the schedule.

That is a tweet from the team Butler, so let's see how legit that tweet is.
I've checked from Butler's account himself but there's no tweet also about that.
https://twitter.com/1paulbutler

So, this is just probably an speculation but there's no real proof that the fight will be disrupted.
1608  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: March 31, 2022, 01:15:22 PM
Meralco surprised us for taking the lead, yet many are still doubting with them though this is quiet a fair odds since Magnolia leads all the way and they have a huge supporters. Despite of this odds, I'm still rooting for them to win and go for the final match with Ginebra.

If Meralco will win, it will be Pangilinan vs Cojuangco, while if Magnolia will win, the two teams are with the same owner and it might be boring as people will just speculate about a possible rig. So, I like to see teams with different owners facing in the finals, but at the same time, I'm also afraid of taking the Meralco Moneyline.  Smiley
1609  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto Scams now the second largest in the world on: March 30, 2022, 11:52:08 PM
This is the reason why you need to avoid shitcoins and pick only Bitcoin if you want to start to invest on crypto space. After 13 years created, Bitcoin never ever scam anyone until now. If there's an article discuss about Bitcoin scams, pretty sure it's either exchange, investment company, recoverable funds etc are the scammer, not Bitcoin.
This is not surprising as the altcoin's market is usually the ground for all scammers, but not with bitcoin. And mostly, if you are still a newbie in the market, you always find those shitcoins more affordable to invest compared to bitcoin so you end up investing in the wrong coins and then lose your capital. Crypto scams usually happen to those who lack knowledge in crypto and only here to invest for quick profits. But if you stick with bitcoin, though its expensive, its rewards always pays off the price.
1610  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Do you share your key to your family? on: March 30, 2022, 11:24:57 PM
My family knows where to find my recovery phrases and other pieces of information to recover all my coins, but they don't have a copy of anything in their hands. There is no reason for them to have copies of the seeds for cold storage. They know what they have to do and where to look for the essentials for recovery if one day I don't come back home. That's it. My family isn't interested in Bitcoin, only I am. I am sure they will gladly convert in into fiat one day when I am gone.
Its a good thing that family members should also be aware of what you are currently doing so that they will also start to learn and engage in it, and definitely can access all what you have been trying to save for them while you are still alive. Otherwise, all your hard earned coins will only be converted into fiat because they don't have the interest to continue what you have been doing. Although its not bad but they could have made it grown and benefit it more in the future.
1611  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will Smith Inu? on: March 30, 2022, 10:14:35 PM
This can be a funny thing. I knew it had to do with the Oscar slap on stage by Will Smith hitting the cheek of Chris Rock on a joke about his wife. I was thinking to see the picture of the slap on the coin but only the head of Will Smith represented there. But the coin is already pumping, now at 0.000003013 but still a meme coin that can do otherwise.
Very funny really. The developer of this project may have been a great fan of Will Smith. But as always, memes are not going to stay long in the crypto market. They may be pumping these days but im sure in the next days, the project will start to lose its value. And those who are also fool enough to believe in this project will see theirselves losing in the end. So stay away from this meme project and don't let another meme coin cause you more losses.
1612  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How safe it is to invest in cryptocurrency on: March 30, 2022, 09:27:19 PM
In times of war, Bitcoin is a much better option for you to keep your wealth intact. Not only will you be controlling your funds even in the middle of destruction, you will also be making sure that your wealth's value is not affected by the economic repercussions of the war. However, given that shops and stores are still not accepting Bitcoin, it is always best to have a good amount of cash in your possession, an amount which you could easily carry across international borders should the necessity arise.
Fiat is now starting to lose its power and value in times of war but having bitcoin is a good option to store your wealth without losing its value despite of the destructions caused by the war. The current war has served an eye opener for us that storing most of your wealth in fiat is never a safe and secured option. But with bitcoin, it will always be safe. However, as most of the countries are still favoring fiat as their only currency, then we should always have good amount of cash in our own pocket.
1613  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How has trading been for you during this Ukraine and Russia war on: March 30, 2022, 08:47:21 PM
My trades still go up and down following current market conditions, but I mostly hold them and buy when the price drops. Maybe the profit isn't that much compared to day traders because, in my opinion, it's better to buy and hold it for a while and sell when the price goes up like a few hours ago.

Right now, the market is in a downturn, and this is a good time to buy and hold it again. Try not to panic, and you will see hope when the price increases.
The market has become very unstable during the Russian and Ukraine war so i was not able to do a lot of trading activities. Instead, i focus more on buying and hodling some of my favorite coins. I only trade when i see good timing to trade but since most of the days the market has been affected by the war, so i stopped trading for a while. However, good and skilled traders are still making profits from the market despite of how unstable the market is. That is the good thing about them because they seem not affected at all.
1614  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What are your plans for the 2022 crypto market? on: March 29, 2022, 11:44:03 PM
Just boring plans: keep doing DCA. Buy, buy, buy (small amounts) rise, rinse, repeat. It only gets exciting if the price goes up a lot, in which case I will spend small amounts. Not planning anything big until I accumulate a considerable amount, which will be quite a few years from now I think, because I would like to think otherwise, but I think that the spectacular returns that Bitcoin had in the past years are going to be reduced going forward, although it will still be very profitable to buy Bitcoin.

Dollar cost average is not boring. It's like you are investing in bitcoin and crypto which will give you many  returns in the future.
I will be holding my crypto and only sell if it reacheds another all time high. If the prices , dump more I will wait and never sell in panic or in loss.
As long as it brings profits, DCA will always be a  very useful strategy. That is why i do it more often because i usually making good returns from it. And i have definite plan this year to maximize buying and hodling bitcoin because i always believe that having bitcoin is the most secured thing that your future will be brighter and become more profitable and productive.
1615  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: To the Ill-informed, btc has done more harm than good on: March 29, 2022, 11:04:46 PM
It's not only what they don't understand, but broader than that. It has been repeatedly subject of propaganda in different forms (criminality, environmental impact etc.), because it doesn't favor authorities, but authorities control the media.

It's also that people don't make great researches and Bitcoin requires a significant time to sit down disciplined and understand what it is.
Its not surprising that bitcoin is indirectly involved in different scams and criminality because even the authorities are also seeing that way. And most likely, what they tend to believe are the things they also want to impart and share to the people. No wonder bitcoin becomes a threat to the government because the people perceived it wrongly. However, bitcoin always gives us opportunities to learn about it, but its the people who always refused to be educated and stay uninformed.
1616  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Do you tell your friends about your crypto achievements? on: March 29, 2022, 09:52:18 PM
Do you tell your friends about your crypto earnings and trading strategy?

Sometimes it's hard to keep it to myself, but at the same time, I don't want to share my trading lifehacks.
Do you share with your friends?  Tongue
No, i prefer to keep it to myself. There's no point actually if i tell my friends about it because they might be offended and think that i'm bragging when in fact i'm not. So as much as possible i always keep myself low key and never share to others how far i've gone in crypto. Though they know already that i'm into crypto but telling them about my crypto earnings is always a bad idea. If they can see how my life improves in crypto, then that will give them an idea how much i'm earning in crypto.
1617  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Getting more skills in trading on: March 29, 2022, 08:59:14 PM
Seems you are more experienced than us lol. Because you have added a lot of technical points on the thread that I am not aware of. Anyway, trading isn't a thing that you can learn by reading or watching videos without doing it by yourself in real life. In the beginning, most traders lose money, and day by day they improve. So you need to stay here and learn. Of course, you need to study besides trading. So I will suggest starting trading with a small number of funds then start research. Keep in mind you need to research the project that token or coin you gonna buy. Otherwise, your analysis would be worthless.
You will never learn in trading if you never let yourself experience the different trading scenarios. Reading books and watching video tutorials are helpful but the best things are learned when you start to put them into practice. Particularly in gaining skills, you will only develop them if you keep on trading and losing because it will give you lessons and help you to motivate yourself to develop your own skills and strategies to minimize seeing yourself from committing losses. Trading should be learned the hard way so you should exert more time and effort to make you learn.
1618  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Long Term Holders - When Do You Plan To Cash Out? on: March 28, 2022, 11:52:45 PM
One of the things I regret the most was not holding the Bitcoin I had acquired a few years ago, I didn't really need those funds but had cashed out a large chunk of them. Luckily, some of which was saved till now and was invested in DeFi projects and managed to earn a decent sum of money.

After this experience, I'm trying to save as much Bitcoin as possible. I'm not sure when I'll withdraw again, certainly not before surpassing the last all-time high. Currently, I'm not need of funds, thus, I'll keep on holding.
If you have no important stuffs to buy, then just hold it as much as you can. After all, bitcoin will always grow in value despite of its unpredictable price volatility. However, if you want to have consistency in making profits, then sell some of your bitcoin when a new all time high is reached. That will motivate you more to buy and accumulate more bitcoins when their price is low so you can start selling them at a reasonable high price. You may sell some, but leave some of them for long term hodling and for future profits.
1619  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Assumptions of People who don't know about bitcoin... Ki on: March 28, 2022, 09:49:02 PM
Quote
1) Bitcoin is a bubble : This is the most common thing the community has said against it from the past and it could burst anytime but they are proved wrong each time. The prices increase they say it will burst out and when they falls they say it's crash but in reality they don't know anything about it.It is a currency and like any other asset can go up and down in value so what do you expect from it? But in reality btc is needle that is bursting fiat bubbles.
This is mostly what I've to hear from the people around before but today, upon asking them, you can hear different stories some will say "it was a profitable investment and any got rich" , while the others will still think it was a scam and it burst. It is likely to say that many were still not aware of the situation by now, many were never appreciates Bitcoin, in fact, it has already been proven so many times. And to argue with these negative people is just a waste of time, but I believe they'll change somehow sooner and they realize that they are wrong.
People will always believe in it as long as they refused to be educated in bitcoin and become one sided. Because i always believe that if you have enough knowledge about bitcoin and the rest of cryptocurrencies, you will never stick to this foolish idea that bitcoin is  a bubble. Bitcoin has definitely its high potentials that will create a good store of value. And if its really a bubble, i cannot think of a valid reason why bitcoin has still survive up to this present time.
1620  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Understanding "When" to trade. on: March 27, 2022, 09:23:31 PM
I don't think there's a perfect timing when to trade, it's always not perfect. I mean  you can't find a perfect timing when to trade, crypto is too volatile and it fluctuates too often. You may think as if always has no timing when to trade in the crypto market, no idea on the forex as I'm not familiar with it.
Knowing how unpredictable the trading market is, you will never know when is the perfect timing to trade, but you will know for sure it's the best time to trade. Knowing when to trade is a very vital part since you are not risking your own money, but also your time and effort. So as much as possible, you will only trade if you see the timing is right, not perfect. And trading with stable emotions and having a good market analysis is always the best time to trade as you become more positive to gain good profits than losses.
