1621  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: 5 Things I've learned day trading Bitcoin for 3 years (successfully) on: April 07, 2023, 02:16:43 PM
1. Never trade against the market trend. The market trend is king, and attempting to trade against it is a recipe for disaster. Following the trend allows you to capture profits and avoid unnecessary losses.
There is a famous quote when it comes to trading, and that is "The Trend if your Friend."
Well, we have futures already, so betting against the trend is still a good thing if you are a good futures trader. Overall, following the market will give you profits especially when you are doing spot trading. As for futures trading, you can still get profit even though you go against the trend, but it would be better to follow it.

2. Stick to your strategy no matter what. A trading strategy is a roadmap to success, and it's crucial to stick to it regardless of market conditions. Deviating from your plan leads to impulsive decisions and missed opportunities.
"Stick to 1 strategy."
Always, always stick to only one strategy that will help you get profits. I mean having more than 1 strategy would be better, but as for me, I don't want to complicate things because that will make me stressed while trading, and that might lead to some unnecessary decisions that can make me loss money that's why I always go to only 1 strategy that I know will help me get those profits.

3. Use technology to your advantage. Emotions can hinder a trader's ability to make sound decisions, but technology can remove this obstacle. Using a crypto trading bot that operates on pre-set criteria ensures that trades are executed objectively and without emotions.
TBH, I didn't ever tried using bots when I'm trading, but I've heard some good and some bad comments from it.
Overall, I still prefer going for manual trading instead of using bots.

4. Listen to industry influencers but form your own opinion on the long-term direction. Industry influencers can offer valuable insights, but blindly following their advice is a mistake. It's essential to conduct independent research and form your own opinions about the market's long-term direction.
If they're shilling a coin or a project that you don't know yourself, don't follow what they are saying, and do your own research.
There's nothing in following these influencers because after all, they are contributing, and sharing some knowledge to the newbies, and to us as well. I've been following some crypto influencers for years already, but they're not shilling any new project or coin at all.

5. Risk management is critical. Managing risk is essential to a day trader's survival. I always set stop-loss orders and avoid over-leveraging my trades to limit losses and protect my capital.
Stop-loss and take profit are very important when it comes to trading.
Always set a percentage where you will take profit at this particular percentage, but at the same time, also put a stop loss. Whenever I'm trading, I always put a stop loss, and take profit right after I enter (futures trading).

Bonus tip: Keep it simple, don't complicate your trading even if it looks cool. It's easy to get caught up in fancy indicators and complex trading strategies, but simplicity is often the key to success. Keeping your approach straightforward and easy to execute will lead to success.
Making things complicated will make you overwhelm during the process, and that can make you do some bad decisions along the way, and if that happens, you have a high chance of getting lost. Overall, just pick one strategy that will help you along the way. Always keep it simple because you can think way better if you do it that way rather than thinking many things that will affect your performance in trading.
1622  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: April 07, 2023, 01:34:55 PM
4 losses in a row and Jazz is officially out of the play-in picture now. Mavericks have 2 games left, against Bulls and Spurs. Bulls guaranteed their 10th place so it's very possible for Mavs to win both games. Thunder have only one game left and they'll play with Grizzlies. Normally it'd be a though game but we probably see big rotation before play-off so Thunder may win this one. Last place for play-in will be determined in last games literally. I'm okay with both teams, either Thunder or Mavs for play-in but I don't think they'll get a spot in play-off.
I think Danny Ainge really isn't thinking of the playoffs like it's his priority. I mean he has young players, and lots of draft picks on their roster. I believe that they will be using it to get some better role players in the off-season.

As for the Mavericks, the door is still not closed for them, but it's hard that your are relying on other teams just for you to get the 10th spot. I mean if Thunder will lose against the Grizzlies, and Mavericks somehow manage to win those 2 remaining games, they will get the 10th spot. If the Thunder manages to win against the Grizzlies, and the Mavericks lost one game of their remaining 2 games, they're out of the league already. Now if the Thunder, and the Mavericks manage to win on their remaining games, we will see a tiebreaker between the 2 teams, and whoever wins will get the 10th spot.

TBH, I would love to see the Mavericks getting that 10th seed rather than the Thunder, and they won against the Kings, so maybe that built a bit of momentum for the team. The remaining 2 games of Mavericks isn't that hard because it's against the Bulls who are already in the play-in tournament, and against the Spurs who are already eliminated. Still, anything can happen and Mavericks can still lose to either one of them. Either way, the Mavericks are in a tough situation right now.
1623  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Experience of failure and success can help us control the emotions. on: April 07, 2023, 01:20:41 PM
In trading the number one enemy is our self emotions, many trader loss because they can't control thier emotions and it really affects thier decision making and sometimes it will become a reason for the big loss, in crypto we cannot be free from different emotions because everytime market condition is changing and it is really a high volatility market, i think experienced had a very big role on decision making, is this a reason why most of the newbie loss is it because they don't have enough of experience?
Experience is the most important thing when it comes to trading (for me) because if you doesn't have any experience in trading, you cannot train yourself on how to be emotionless when trading.

When I'm starting to trade, I can't control my emotions that's why I ended up getting FOMO'ed twice at that time. I experienced having my capital wiped out because of wrong entry in the futures. All of the failures that I experienced back when I was a newbie really helped me to what I'm doing in trading now. I don't have 100% win rate as of this moment, but I can say that I have more wins than losses now when it comes to trading.

As for the newbies, I believe that lack of experience really is one of the reason why newbie traders are losing. They don't know the feeling of entering and exiting, they don't know what they will do if suddenly the price of the coin went below their entry point. Experience is a big role in trading, and newbies loss more often because of lack of experience. What's good is that, there are some newbies who doesn't stop when they got losses in trading, and instead they're learning from it, adjusting from their mistakes, and will try their best not to do it again.

Overall, experience in both winning, and losing is a big help for a trader to become emotionless when it comes to trading.

I was tagged for working for you boss; we're all tagged for the same reason so I think there should be a consideration...
You're in need, eh?

You're tagged because you are promoting a scam site, and that negative trust that you got doesn't mean that you will be having a consideration. Another thing is that, it already stated in the first post that "No negative trust by the time of joining." You are trying your chances?

I wonder how will this scam campaign have applicants that don't have any negative trust by the time their applying. Or the campaign manager will have no choice, and just choose those who have negative trust because in the end, nobody that don't have a negative trust is willing to apply on a scam campaign like this. 1625  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: April 07, 2023, 02:23:47 AM
The Warriors just announced that Andrew Wiggins will be out the remainder of the regular season.  I think the use of the words "regular season" gives Warriors fans reason to be hopeful that Wiggins will return for the playoffs.  This is likely their way to begin putting pressure on him to come back to the team while not putting pressure on him to come back to the team.  Still, the Warriors organization has been a class act throughout this entire process and I'm sure that Wiggins will return the favor by not leaving them hanging for the playoffs.  Hopefully Zion comes back for the Pels also.
Well, the Warriors only has 2 games left on the regular season, so I guess it will just be a good time for them to just let Wiggins sit, train, make some shots, and practice.

Their remaining 2 games are against the Kings, and Blazers, and both are on the road. I don't know what will be the result of the Warriors-Kings, but since we've seen Warriors played awful on the road, and it's the Kings that they're facing, there's a chance that they might lose to them. As for the Blazers-Warriors, I think the Warriors can get that win even on the road since the Blazers doesn't let Lillard play anymore this season.

I think this is a strategy for the Warriors so that they can retain that 6th seed, but it's very risky knowing that the standings on the 5th-9th are very close to each other. I guess let's just hope for Wiggins to come back on the playoffs, and be a big help for the team. Maybe this is their way also to prevent their all-star player from getting injured like many other teams who already have a spot in the playoffs are doing.
1626  Economy / Economics / Re: Where do we go from here on: April 07, 2023, 01:56:51 AM
There was a time where Elon musk is afraid of Robots with AI capabilities, saying they are dangerous to humans, there was a rumour about some incident where a robot threatened to crush him, I don't know how true is this, but not too long ago even the Microsoft boss Bill Gates is very concerned about the harms that AI could bring on humanity, saying something like AI might decides that humans are a threat. We do we go from here?
It's a bit ironic that Bill Gates is even putting billions of dollars into OpenAI to fund them on developing ChatGPT,  but he himself is also concerned on the possible risks of AI.

With AI being that early, I don't know if what will be the future of it. I mean AI has many positives that can give to every person, but there are also negative that it can also give to us. I mean one positive is that, we can make our jobs online in a shorter amount of time. Aside from that, we can also answer questions that we are having a hard time answering it. AI makes people more efficient than ever. Now on the other hand, because of AI, there is a huge possibilities that there will be employees or people who will not have any job anymore in the future. Because of AI, we are already seeing pictures that are very inappropriate (like what they did our Pope where there are pictures of him that has clothes that doesn't usually being wore by a Pope).

There are some countries that are already against into it, and we've seen AI for months only. We don't know what AI can bring to humans in the future, and what will it be. Will it be beneficial to us? Or will it be harmful. Probably both.
1627  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Champions prediction. on: April 06, 2023, 03:01:07 PM
It might be too early, but the regular season is almost over, so I guess it's a good time to predict who will be the NBA Champions.
As for me, I already did my bet since March 30. I already put my bet on the Warriors because I think they are still capable of winning the title again.

They might be playing very awful on the road which is kind of a question mark for me, and to others as well knowing that they are performing very well on their home. They're playing very great on their home while it's a complete opposite on the road. However, if the whole roster of the Warriors will come back, and will play better on the road like what they did last year, I think they're still capable of winning it.

They have the pieces. Splash Brothers + Poole Party + DiVincenzo on the offense, Looney, Green, Kuminga, GPII, and even Moody on the defense, and rebounds. When Wiggins come back, I'm not really expecting too much on his comeback on the first games, but we know how he played last playoffs, and how he has been a big factor on their title run. I believe that he can do it again because he isn't injured at all. I pick the Warriors to get the title again.
1628  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: April 06, 2023, 02:17:37 PM
The Clippers have now won 11 straight games against the Lakers. I thought tonight was going to stop that streak. The Lakers looked pretty bad all game up until the last 4 minutes. Then it seemed like they tried to win but fell just short. I don’t know if injuries or fatigue from playing the night before was a major factor, but the Lakers season will be over pretty soon if that’s the effort they make going forward.
I also thought that when they're down double digits in the first half, they will make a comeback at the 2nd half. I didn't watch the whole game (since I'm busy doing something), but I managed to put a +8.5 bet on the Lakers, and somehow it got covered.

With the result of this game, the Clippers are again in the 5th spot, the Lakers are now at the 7th spot, and currently tied with the Pelicans, and the Warriors are now in the spot that they wanted to which is the 6th spot. The Eastern Conference standings is set already aside from 6th (Nets) and 7th (Heat) spot. As for the Western Conference, many things can still happen in the remaining games of each teams especially the 5th-9th seed. With the win of the Mavericks, they still have a chance to get that 10th spot depending on the performance of the Thunder in their remaining games. The remaining games in the West will be crucial for teams who are buying for either a playoff or a play-in spot.

Fatigue is the factor why they played that way. Playing back-to-back games is very hard, and the Lakers did experienced that. Nevertheless, it's a good game still for both teams.

Many traders desire to begin their trading careers by becoming experts in the charts, as well as in strategies and other related topics. The problem is that this approach fails the majority of the time. So, I firmly advise that you have some form of reliable revenue flowing in before you begin your trading career, regardless of the method. A skill, a job, or a career, perhaps. It will be quite difficult for you to concentrate and actually advance in this trading adventure if you don't have that, which is why.  You need to anticipate that your emotional stability will be tested.
~
I almost did this back when I saw that I'm profitable into trading a few years ago. It also come to a point where the profit that I'm gaining in trading is way more than my monthly salary on my current job at that time. I've been consistent in trading at that time, and I don't get much losses, and most of the time I'm winning. I'm trading futures at that time BTW.

They suddenly, Bitcoin went down massively, and I entered in a wrong position. To cut the story short, I got liquidated at that time, but the good thing is that, I already withdrew most of my profits at that time, so I only lost a little, but that liquidation that I got served as a lesson for me. It says that whenever you are winning consecutive times, there will still be a time where you will get liquidated because of entering at a wrong position. I didn't put a stop loss at that time which is my mistake too because I didn't expect for Bitcoin to go down massively at that time.

Overall, you can still do your job, but at the same time, trade. You aren't looking at the charts 24/7, and having multiple sources of income is always a good thing. Don't quit to your current job and focus on trading, because you will not know when you will lose your capital because of wrong entries. Like OP said, get a reliable and stable source of income, and then try to do trading, and after that, do it both at the same time.
1630  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Best time to gamble on: April 06, 2023, 01:30:59 PM
It's in the morning for me.

Since I'm mostly betting on sports games (most of the time in the NBA), and NBA games here in our country happens in the morning, that's the best time for me to gamble. A bit of analysis on which teams will face each other, see who will play or not, then I'll put which team will I think is the winner. I also like to put my bets in the morning when I just wake up. I don't know if it's only me, but I see it better for me to gamble when I just wake up than spending hours doing something then I gamble.

We have different time of gambling. Some gamble on the afternoon because that's their free time. Some also gamble in the evening because it's their relaxation time, and their way of getting relaxed is thru gambling. There are also some who are gambling in the morning because for them, they are feel more comfortable when they bet in the morning. One piece of advice is that, whatever your gambling time is, just remember not to get addicted into gambling. Cheesy
1631  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: April 06, 2023, 02:29:30 AM
So who do you guys think deserves the MVP for the year? I've been hearing a lot about Joel Embiid on sports outlets like ESPN and my local Chicago sports radio station.  I know that he's been right in the race with Jokic over the past couple years and there's been a lot made about how Embiid should have maybe won one of those.  I also saw Doc Rivers "aggressively" proclaiming that there's nothing left to discuss, Embiid is the clear cut MVP already.

Congrats to anyone who bet on this..it seems he's got it all but locked up.
A few weeks ago, I already put a bet on Embiid on winning the MVP, and I guess he deserves to spoil the back-to-back-to-back MVP titles of Jokic because he deserves to be the MVP this season.

With how he carries the whole Sixers team right now, even some of the analysts are rooting on Embiid to win it as well. It's Jokic in the start to mid season, but coming into the final stretch of the regular season, Embiid played better than Jokic already. Though I don't know if the voters will pick Embiid on this one over Jokic because it's still hard to choose and bet which one will win. As for Coach "Choke" Rivers proclaiming that Embiid will be the MVP, of course he will say that because he is the coach of the Sixers where Embiid is playing currently. Cheesy

I guess I don't want to assume that Embiid will be the MVP this season until they will say that he is, and if he is then my bet won. Cheesy
1632  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Best Whitepapers to Read as a Beginner? on: April 06, 2023, 02:08:02 AM
I find myself reading Whitepapers and barely understanding any of the technical languages or being able to formulate any form of assessment. I was hoping anyone would have recommendations for me and/or others on this forum to read to truly gauge many of the concepts and technicality.
I don't know if it's only me, but right now, I don't think that reading a whitepaper is still an important one whether you will invest into that project or not.

In the past, yes Whitepaper is a big factor because you will see everything about the project there. Their tokenomics, the roadmap of the project, the team behind it, the possible upgrades of it etc. etc. Now on the other hand, I've also seen Whitepapers who is very alluring and very attractive to investors, but they ended up scamming others. I've read some good whitepapers which if you read it, you will think that "The whitepaper is good, I will invest into it." especially if you are a newbie investor, but they ended up as an abandoned project.

I'm not investing into new projects in the past, and until now, but I've read some whitepapers already, and the ones that I've read ended up either as an abandoned coin (most of the time) or a scam coin. Like others here, I know that reading whitepapers isn't essential anymore. Reading whitepapers is just a waste of time for others. Some might disagree with me, but that's what I observe base on my experiences in the past. As for the OP (if he will read this), it would be better if you will just pick and invest into the top coins instead of spending your time reading whitepapers that will end up as a fail project.
1633  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: You are probably a target already if... on: April 06, 2023, 01:51:40 AM
This is the main reason why I'm hesitant to enter such airdrops.
It's because there's a chance that you might click a wrong link, connected the wallet there and *POOF!!!*. MONEY GONE in an instant. I also didn't enter the Arbitrum airdrop, but no regrets on my side.

Phishing links has been one of the most effective ways of the scammers to scam people. Newbie, ignorant, and sometimes the lazy investors who are just lazy enough not to read what must be read are the ones who are most likely to be falling into these kind of scams. Many said this quote, but I will say it again. "Always be vigilant". Always be vigilant especially in airdrops. Yes Arbitrum airdrop came up as a successful airdrop, but many scammers and hackers are using that as their advantage to lure and attract those newbie and ignorant investors.

I know that there are some including the OP who has shared their own tips already here, but I'll share mine as well.

1. Always double or triple check the website you are entering. Make sure that's the official website you are using with. Whenever I go to a new website, I always go to Youtube, pick the most trusted influencer that I know (though I don't trust them at all), see the description and sometimes, there are some official links there. Just be careful because they might still give you a wrong or a phishing link. Maybe picking an influencer that has many subscribers might help. Still, don't trust them.
2. As much as possible, use a separate wallet if you are going for an airdrop. In that way, it will reduce your chances of getting hacked or scammed.
3. If you can, just don't participate into airdrops at all. In this way, you are 100% safe from getting hacked or scammed.
1634  Economy / Speculation / Re: When do you think Bitcoin will hit $1 million for the first time? on: April 06, 2023, 01:22:37 AM
I went for 2042 or later.

Bitcoin didn't reach a 6-digit price yet, and TBH, I'm also thinking that it might not reach that price again because we don't know what can happen a few decades from now with regards to cryptocurrency. Maybe we will see a new coin that will be created that's better than Bitcoin? Maybe we will see a digital coin or another coin that's way better than all of the cryptocurrencies right now? I mean technology is evolving very rapidly, and I'm not removing the fact that there might be a chance that Bitcoin might get replace a few decades from now.

Nevertheless, I would love to see Bitcoin reaching a million a few decades from now, but it's still hard to imagine when or if it will reach that price knowing that we didn't see Bitcoin reaching $100,000 yet. On the other hand, I'm will be happy if it reaches that price because I'm holding some for long term (that is if I still got the patience to hold it until it reaches that price). Cheesy
1635  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: April 05, 2023, 02:39:47 PM
I will tail you with the Warriors handicap bet, it's going to be in their home court, and we all know how strong the Warriors is at Chase Center specially in the third quarter wherein they can change the complexion of the game. I also like the chances of T'Wolves against the Nets, T'Wolves ML for me.
And we won.

The Warriors somehow managed a good run in the 4th quarter. Even though they didn't have the lead for a long time, the energy can be seen on both ends of the floor.
Draymond Green and Kevon Looney, these guys are very critical for this team. Looney's offensive rebounding had been impressive since the start, he won't stop trying to get a second opportunity for the team.
That's their last game in Chase Center for the season. The other two games left will be on the road, I hope they can win their games.
I really knew that the Warriors will do what they are doing on their home. Being down double digits at one point then in the 2nd half, they will make a comeback and winning. They did it against the Blazers, they again did it against the Pelicans, and now they did it against the Thunder. They are down double digits on the halftime, but went on winning by double digits. I put my bet on them twice because I felt that they will make a comeback in the 2nd half, and they really did. Congratulations to all of us winners.

Poole and Curry combined for 64 points, while their bench scored 42 points in total. It's always good to see Looney out there fighting for rebounds. I mean if you watch the game, you always see him fighting for rebounds, and that's the reason why the shooters of the Warriors can just shoot threes if needed because they know that they have Looney who can get offensive rebounds like in this game where he got 4 offensive rebounds. I guess the team that will face the Warriors in the first round should be having a hard time defeating them. They played on this one without Klay Thompson, and they still got the victory.
1636  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: April 05, 2023, 02:07:23 PM
CStand and Aguilar are twin towers of the TNT and with that, they might be forced to put 2 big to defend the paint. It's good that the TNT has many good players who can just step up offensively when needed.
Ginebra has the advantage inside the paint with the return of Aguilar, giving them an added boost. On the other hand, TNT needs to focus on their accurate 3-point shooting, as it will be their main weapon in winning the series.

While TNT has good outside shooters, Ginebra also has talented shooters who can defend well. Ginebra has an advantage in terms of size as their starters are taller and known for their strong defense. This is an opportunity for C. Stand to display his skills, including his passing ability and improved free throw percentage. If Ginebra wins the series, he may become the Finals MVP again as he is nearly unstoppable.

With Japeth Aguilar back, C. Stand's production might be limited a bit, but his confidence is so high that it seems he's ready to battle aggressively to win the series. In terms of physicality, I believe Ginebra will have the edge, but the speculation surrounding the upcoming game remains to be seen, as TNT is also a formidable team.
If I'm the coach, I'd rather focus on CStand more on the offensive side, and let Japeth do his role as the defender and the rebounder. Standhardinger is very efficient in offense, and his craftiness to shoot, and his circus shots are almost impossible to stop. The only problem with him is his free throw shooting which is kind of awkward if you will ask me.

I also don't think that Japeth will be given more time especially when Coach Tim Cone see that Standhardinger is doing his job, and his team is leading. Maybe if only the TNT will put 2 big players on the court then that's the time that Coach Tim Cone will put them at the same time. In their last game in the final game of the eliminations, TNT beat Ginebra, and it just shows that they are capable of defeating them. There might be some who are rooting on Ginebra already because of how they played in their last games, but let's not forget that the TNT is also a formidable team like you said, and they will not get a 10-1 record if they aren't that strong. Let's just see how both teams play, and I hope there are no spoilers on this series like injuries whatsoever.

Many say it will go past $1 next bull run and it could well do but think I would get out around $0.70 which would be a 7x if I was to invest at todays price of $0.10.

Would be good to hear some views on this - are you for or against Doge?
It can reach that price, or it cannot.
The time when it reaches $0.70 was when Elon Musk is hyping it. Reaching the price to $0.70 doesn't mean that it will reach a dollar though I'm not removing the possibility that it can.

I'm into a point where I'm thinking DOGE as a good coin to invest, but not for long term. I don't know the reason why, but I'm thinking that it isn't a good long term coin to hold. It has no use case at all aside from the fact that it's a meme coin (and possible that Elon might integrate it into Twitter knowing that he is charging people 8$ for that blue tick on their name, there's a chance that he might accept DOGE into it as well).

I'm not against DOGE, but I'm also not a supporter of DOGE as well. I don't see DOGE as a good long term coin to hold as well. Maybe the fact that it's supply is unlimited, and has no use case at all that's beneficial to investors are the reasons why I don't want to hold DOGE (for now).

One of the biggest games of the year is on tomorrow. ESPN will be showing the Lakers vs the Clippers and they are both currently sitting on each side on the play-in tournament with a tying record. There’s a good chance whoever wins tomorrow will be getting the final playoff spot in the west and leaving the other to face the play-in tournament.
A must win for both teams.
The Winner will get the 6th seed, and has a chance to retain that, while the other one will go to 7th seed, and has a chance to go even lower depending on the result of the play-in tournament.

With how close the standings in the Western Conference may be, we are in a spot where a win or a lose for each team from 5th to 9th seed can put them into a spot where they don't want to. TBH, I would want the Clippers to win the game because if that happens, there's a chance that the Clippers will go to 5th seed again and has a chance to match-up with the Suns in the first round. Well, depending on what will be the result of this game, I don't know, but I think there's a chance that they might go up to the 5th seed.

One of the biggest games of the year? I mean it's important for both teams but by far not a big game.
PG won't play, Lebron is back and he is ballin Smiley .

Markus Morris and Eric Gordon are both questionable, that will also play into Lakers's plans. I think they will win this one even though it's the second night of a back to back (including overtime) . They are hot at the moment winning 7 of their last 8 and this game being so important they will show why LA is called "Laker Land".
If Davis will play again against the Clippers, the Lakers will win.

I would like to see the Clippers win, but with how the Lakers are ballin right now, they are starting to gain their momentum coming into the playoffs. They need Davis to play right now in their remaining games because of how close the standings are. Just look at how they performed against the Rockets where they lost, and on that game, Davis, Lebron and Russel didn't play. All of them must play.

It looks like Andrew Wiggins will be at the Warriors game today joining his teammates for the first time in weeks as he works his way back into the lineup. Reports are now saying it isn’t problems with his girlfriend but the health of his father that has kept him away from the team. Regardless, it looks like he’ll be back in action in time for a playoff run.
They need these 3 wins to nail the coffin and be in the playoffs without going thru the rigorous play-in tournaments. The Warriors will be up a notch in their defensive line with him, Payton, and Draymond Green being the outside protectors while letting Looney do his job under the rim.
Perhaps, the team had urged him to return like it was an emergency, or else he will come back playing a practice game instead of the playoffs.
In order for the Warriors to retain that 6th seed, they must win most of their remaining games.
On the other hand, if the Warriors will fall down to 7th seed and the Lakers go to the 6th seed, I think it will be a win-win for both teams.

If Warriors will go to 7th seed, they will face the Grizzlies in the first round, and as a Warrior fan, I would love to see the Grizzlies getting eliminated in the first round because of how arrogant they are, and knowing the beef between these 2 teams, I'm pretty sure that the Warriors will surely love this match-up. Take note that like @Ognasty said, Wiggins will be coming back after looking his father for a long time. Now if the Warriors will retain the 6th seed, it's still ok because they will be facing the inexperienced Kings team. Many are optimistic about the Kings, but experience matters in the playoffs because it's a different playground already. Adjustments are a must. Injuries will be a huge factor in the playoffs. One thing more is that, Draymond Green would love to face the Kings in the first round as well.

As for the Lakers, if they will face either the Kings or the Grizzlies in the first round, I think the Lakers can make an upset between these teams, and defeat them in the first round. The Lakers are the top team in terms of defense after the trade deadline, and as long as their players are healthy especially AD, they can make an upset between these 2 top teams I believe.

Let's see where will be the Warriors and the Lakers are landing after the regular season. I just hope that the Warriors will not go to 5th seed because if that happens, it will be the Suns-Warriors in the first round. The supposed champions this season Vs. the defending champions last season. Cheesy
