Is the wallet only 64 bit? Doesn't seem run on an older 32 bit system.

New one uploaded. Can you let me know if it works? Thanks

Does it need firecoind to run? firecoind is 81M in size which is 10x+ bigger than any other similar file from any other coin I have. Because it's so large, I would think it's not right. Plus I can't scan it on virustotal because of the size. So I renamed it but the wallet doesn't run.

The other one is not needed. I normally just leave it alone and only run the QT. Make sure you have the daemon closed.

Just an addenda for those that aren't used to command line daemons. you can stop it by typing Firecoind  stop on the command line, or by going into the task manager and finding and ending Firecoind.

Do not let the TECHCOIN be excluded from Bittrex. We will continue creating daily movement of megociações.

I can not do it alone. Let's help?

Not sure what you mean. I downloaded the wallet and opened it. doesn't it normally synch to the network on its own?

Not necessarily.

Make a text file called tekcoin.conf and copy the text with the nodes into it, and put it in your data folder. In windows that will be users\username\appdata\roaming\tekcoin

That's a hidden file, so make sure you show hidden files before you go looking for it Cheesy

That's actually about the normal size of a daemon if it's not been stripped of debugging code. I've compiled most of my own and I don't care about the extra space, and they're all around that size.

Well I even went 1 step further right now. Instead of saying you can fill out the form to get the 3k sat buy back. I have now place a big enough buy order to buy up at 3k sat. so if you want out dump now. Otherwise time to start building off of it.

Dump on a coin that stakes in daemon mode without being set up for it? HELL NO! Cheesy Only place my coins are going is your contests. Well, merchants when the time comes and my stake is sufficient...

Can someone help me out with understanding how a currency that potentially inflates 40% inflation every 30 days is viable?
It's an ongoing question, isn't it?

Its POW is very minor, so you can compare it to a high POW mining coin such as Doge, which has definitely taken some hits but remains a viable trade. However, it also has the time factor. If the coin is promoted properly and used in commerce, that inflation will be much smaller as the coins have to sit in a wallet for 30 days before they are eligible to stake. It's a conundrum.

It's also possible to modify it's staking in the future if it proves necessary. Like all things crypto, it's an experiment.

not to mention the compound interest as the actual price keeps rising day on day
month on month. By all logic this coin should be trading at least twice the price it is now,
however most human beings are not logical therein lies the problem hence we need the numbers
don't forget to vote for sync on btce and btc38 Grin

1- most people in crypto have no logic, we already know this.
2- will never get added to BTC-e, that is almost a guarantee
3- compound interest is great, but what if the coin gets dump (which happens to all coins).  Then you loose everything, even the interest. not funny.

having said that - this coin has more potential than lots of shitcoins.

1- FTFY
2- probably true, but it was supposed to be BTER Cheesy
3- that's the purpose of the asset backed fund with the foundation. Something I'm not entirely comfortable with, but it does address the issue.

So can anyone help with this error?

submitblock {"code":-22,"message":"Block decode failed"}

I am working to build a multipool that pays in TEK but I cant seem to figure this one out.  The pool is based on the nomp code to do auto swtiching, however if i cant submit a block, I cant run the pool.  What i dont know is why this error is happening.  It only happens with TEK.  Battlecoin works fine and it is POS so I am at a loss.

As usual I will donate to the person that helps me resolve this.  Seems many are having this issue.

Thanks

I banged my head on that wall for quite a while. Tek and Nomp don't seem to get along, and I never did figure it out. Sorry man.

Ok, this is for effort and a couple other guys who still seem a bit confused on staking and wallet recovery.

First, producing a bunch of orphans (conflicted or unaccepted stakes) is no big deal. In other staking coins I hold, I have produced 12 orphans in one day on more than one occasion. It's just the way things work. If your' block of coins solves the proof of stake and so does somebody else at approximately the same time, the one that gets into the chain first wins. Same as with regular proof of work, except it's MORE likely in staking coins. It is not a malfunction and it costs you nothing but time. Your staking weight remains and continues to gain if the block is not accepted.

tl:dr don't panic, orphans are expected behaviour.

Now, dumpwallet. Dumpwallet and importwallet, if we're to be precise Cheesy These are cool commands and just might save your bacon. Dumpwallet makes a  human readable file out of your wallet.dat and saves it as a text file. You can name it any damn thing you like. The syntax is dumpwallet <filename> in the debug console. That's it. No hoops or big jumps to perform.

To restore it, you sync a NEW wallet. Remove wallet.dat (or the entire data folder if you want to resync) after having backed up wallet.dat AND the file you made using dumpwallet. Once you have the new wallet synced and all is well with it, you use the second command. It's as easy as dumpwallet.  You just type importwallet <filename> and it brings your old wallet into your new one. Takes a couple of minutes.  (just for safety, note that the <filename> in this case is the file you created with dumpwallet.

Hope it helps, and tips are always appreciated Cheesy SbA8ZD5ME28RFQuGnrPn4b6JmPHnYmEgKx

Thats why we need The MarketMaking multipool. So we can point all our haspower to this pool and mine for other most profit altcoins (scrypt, sha256,x11, ? etc.) Auto-check for most profit coin every hour (or we can decide on how often later) Then we can sell this mined altcoins using Cryptsy API for BTC and using the same API to place the TEK BUY order with this amount of BTC/// So if this multipool will have 4500 Ths SHA256 power + 600MHs Scrypt power (2x Excalibur 7) and 30MHs X11 then (according to Coinwarz calc) this multipool can create atleast 270$ (2951,368 TEK) BUY order every day or 123 TEK BUY order every hour!!!+ today trading volume of 290$ (according to Coinmarketcap.com)  That can create more liquid market + more trading volume... and everybody can sell his stake coins when he wants and know that there will be BUY order every hour!

Thundertoe! I would like you to share of what you think of this multipool Idea and make a comment as a well known member of this community?!
Thank you//peace

I really like the idea, as i like to mine/hold TEK. This would maximize the amount of TEK i can get by mining per day and cut the amount of work down to do it.  Increased daily market volume i think would be a great added benefit.

Here you go gentlemen. I haven't the time, or I'd have a go at it. But if you guys have the time, there's the way.
1631  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][HYP] HyperStake | Proof of Stake | 750% Annual | Coin-Swap & AllCoin on: August 08, 2014, 07:25:23 AM
Are there any plans to get HYP listed on Bittrex or somewhere a little larger to give the coin more exposure?
Just had a look on coin-swap and 24 hr trading is only 0.005BTC, so very little going on there at the moment.

Cy

we really need the hyperstake community to push for new exchanges collectively. Everyone needs to keep tweeting @poloniex and @ExchangeBittrex to try and show this is a coin worth listing for them.

Any update on the dev roadmap?

Right now I am in the middle of launching a local business with a group of partners. This is keeping me very busy and not a whole lot of time to devote to wallet development right now, although I will still be able to do some weekend coding sessions, etc.

What does everyone really want out of HYP? Right now I am leaning towards not adding an anti-inflation fork, because i don't think it is necessary, but if everyone wants one, I can  add one in. What are everyone's thoughts on this?

Other than that, I have all of the new icons that moneromoo has been working on that will be added to the wallet, as well as new RPC commands that I will create over time.  I will also be watching all of the work Tranz puts into HBN and porting over whatever I see that would fit HYP well.

I have a fully custom QT GUI that I am working on on the side, but this is a slow project that I am not focusing on a lot right now.

That is my current thoughts for the direction of HYP. If the community wants the speed of development to pick up then we will need a community team to help submit pulls on github.

I am assuming that by this you mean leave the cap at 1K as originally planned?

I think that's quite alright for the time being, as POS is the sole means of mining these coins. The inflation, currently, is not egregious. It can always be capped further in the future if necessary. So far, this has proven to be quite a successful experiment. Far moreso than I thought it would be. I'll be straight up honest here, I joined in because I like you. But that has grown. I think this coin has legs, and I think that we can make something cool out of it. I see it as the spending money arm of POS coins, with the lower staking coins being more along the savings side. In fact, I kind of foresee that as a good marketing goal among the "high" staking community. Coins like HyperStake being used primarily for higher volume transactions and trade for the slower staking coins such as HoboNickels, Fire and TECH. TEK kind of stands in an odd position in that hierarchy, as it's quite a large stake but it takes a good amount of time to reach it.

You, David and I have spoken privately about a trading website that is denominated in some of the high staking coins. I had intended to keep that quiet until I had time to pursue it, but I think the idea is too good to keep under my hat. I don't need the glory, and I'd like to see such a thing get going. So there it is, boys and girls. I had originally conceived it as a marketplace for TEK denominated goods and services, but presstab and David convinced me by mere suggestion that it would be better to make it a few staking currencies. I intend to do this, but it's a big web and a big project. Anyone who is inspired to run with it needs no approval from me, and if you can do it quicker and better than I, I'll support yours.

I believe that this is where digital currencies MUST go if they are to ever be more than an alternate method of acquiring bitcoin or dollars. We need to get real world goods and services traded DIRECTLY for the coins we believe in, or else they will fade away. This is why I'm never in a hurry for a coin to hit the exchanges. When it does, it becomes just one more trick to get bitcoins. Not that exchanges are without value, they are not. But they are a very narrow focus, and that is not the purpose of money.

Relax. If it's not a Sync address, it will never confirm. Just run repairwallet to clean out the bad TX. If it was a valid address, you may be screwed, but if you post up the sending addy and the TX (as you did) hopefully the receiver will be honest and kind enough to refund you.

It's a supercoin add

So no worries Cheesy Just an undeliverable transaction. It should resolve itself shortly.

I'm not personally involved in this coin, but I see the same bullshit on MOST coins these days.

Wise up, people. It's not going to get you rich overnight, if ever. The dev likely has a life, and that life likely takes precedence over his coin.

And as he said, and I have said a million times, these are OPEN FUCKING SOURCE projects. That means anyone can do development work. Even you. If you develop an app for this coin, and the dev don't like it? who cares? If it's adopted, and it works, and it drives the market, what's he gonna say to you? I know if it was me, even if I personally hated it, I'd say "good job and here's your bounty".

Just DO it.

The other day, on a coin I won't mention, I couldn't get the wallet to compile because it had a bunch of Windows specific commands in the makefile. You know what I did? I tracked down the problem, altered the code, and put up a pull request for a linux only project file. I'm not a programmer. A real programmer could have done what I did in five minutes. It took me the better part of a day. But so what? I helped. You know what I got for it? A thank you from the dev team, which is nice, and more importantly, a working wallet. I didn't whine to the devs that I couldn't get it to work and bitch that they didn't fix it for me. I just FUCKING DID IT.

Every day I see talk here about decentralized currencies, followed by blind followers waiting with open mouths like little baby birds for a central developer to "do something". Well, guess what? If you didn't pay them for it, they owe you shit. You want something to happen? MAKE it happen. You got a kick ass idea for your favorite coin? Implement it. Don't know how? Flex that google muscle and LEARN. Even if you fail, you learnt something.

Be men, not sheep.

Might I suggest that instead of pushing for exchanges, you all push for real goods and services sold and exchanged for HYP as the base currency? If all it's going to be is another way to indirectly mine BTC, then what's the point?

I don't get this cloud mining  Undecided
So let's say I buy 1TH/s, that's worth BTC2.9 then I mine for 30 days. Then after that, I don't want to mine anymore.
Do I get my BTC2.9 back plus my earnings from mining??

It varies by vendor, but in this case you are buying a 5 year mining contract.
After 5yrs, Do I get my BTC2.9 back? Or will I only get my earnings from mining?
If I won't be getting my BTC2.9 back, will I have something to resell, like a mining hardware?

Nope. It's just a mining contract. You pay them to use their equipment on your behalf at an agreed upon rate foran agreed upon amount of hashpower. They pay out the proceeds once a week to your wallet. You may or may not recover all that you spent, depending on difficulty, in a reasonable time frame.

Pretty normal stuff for a performance contract. To determine whether it's worth it to you or not, you have to do the calculations of physical hardware, money you have to invest, electricity costs, expected return vs. anticipated difficulty increases (I'd aim high on diff and low on return for the sake of safety in calculation) and make a choice. You are esentially renting their hardware for 5 years.
