and you sir just made my day.
w00t!
Glad to help. This version is a big improvement. Now we just need the price to go back up. Why is the order book on Poloniex stuffed with sell orders of 50-100 HYP? I´m pretty sure the answer is ¨someone is manipulating the price,¨but I thought I´d ask anyway. Selling "at market" is a stupid plan. I'd like everyone reading this to read that again. Hell, I'll repeat it. Selling "at market" is a stupid plan. If everyone who has a sell order up would take it down RIGHT NOW and relist at 2K satoshis or higher, do you really think no one would buy?

I am getting the following error when I try to build the wallet under ubuntu. I am using the linux .pro file. I'm probably missing a dependency, but I can't figure out what it is. Any clues? blockbrowser.cpp:(.text._ZN15Ui_BlockBrowser7setupUiEP7QWidget[_ZN15Ui_BlockBrowser7setupUiEP7QWidget]+0x19d3): undefined reference to `QWebView::setUrl(QUrl const&)' collect2: error: ld returned 1 exit status make: *** [techcoin-qt] Error 1
I have not yet gotten around to updating the Linux pro file or the Linux documentation. You will need to add "QT += webkit" to the pro file. You also may need to install QtWebKit (apt-get install libqt5webkit5-dev) Hope this helps. Where in the .pro file do I add that? I do have QTWebKit already. Just put it on a line by itself, or does it need to be in a specific place?

Get me the crash info and we can take a lookie lou. also, I can damn near always be reached on ##hyperstake on freenode as well... which ever is easiest for you. I will put up some crash dump information later tonight when I get home. (Yes, maybe the answer is to upgrade my MacBook to the latest. I hesitate to do this quite yet.) Thanks! Instead of upgrading your Mac Book I can just sell you some iHYP...they are just like HYP but come in a minimalist white box and are 10x as expensive. Hey, now, be nice. Or he just might make you use Windows 8...

All "problems" are solved by a steady increase of coin buyers/stakers, correct?
Well, a substantial portion of 'em Real world adoption, even if just as a savings model, would certainly drive those factors. It's more correct to state that solving the problems would cause a steady increase of coin buyers and stakers.

Okay, okay. Want to know the real answer to why people hate Islam? It's real simple. People love being argumentative. The answer to the question is, because other people don't.I can't disagree with that

I feel bad about promoting this crap and I feel even
worse about bashing the people who warned about it.
It´s a lesson learned.
I have tried to stay relatively neutral, but it seemed legit back when I started on it. I was always aware that it COULD be a scam, but that can be said of almost any cloud mining service. Now I have to think I was wrong. I feel your pain.

One, PBmining's registration isn't personal information. Two, if you believe that if after the registration was published halfway through Friday morning someone has already mailed Jason pig's ears with just a return address, he's received them, and then mailed back $1000 that was received by Monday morning, I have a bridge to sell you.
I dont belive the thing with the ears, but there are many other things, maybe blackmail, death wishes and that is not ok! The other thing is, like suggested from others, write to his family?!?! Are you all nuts? It is HIM! NOT HIS FAMILY! Again, is there kin liability in US or Canada? Please answer!!! I'm not 100 percent certain I understand you, but if you're asking can family be held liable for the actions of someone, the answer is only if they were knowingly involved, in which case they could be charged either as a primary defendant or as an accessory. That's the case in the USA, at least, and in most things Canadian jurisprudence is similar. The laws are often very different, but procedurally, it all derives from British Common Law.

I really hate it when I'm wrong I too am showing about 1/10th of what my mining should be according to a calculator. A few percent off would be ok, but 90 percent? I want to hope that it's an error in the page stats, but it sure don't seem like it.

Like I said, clams is up 350% because it has a reason to be used. Look at clams, just because its the coin used on justdice.com the price has gone crazy on poloniex.com. maybe the same can happen with TEK with my exchange idea.
So maybe it's better if we have a casino . Win change tekcoin won for fiat. Well, I have an idea for a lottery, been thinking about doing it for HYP and TEK. Get my two favorite coins to circulatin' a bit If there's any interest, I'll give it a shot. The numbers would be based off of powerball, I'll figure out a structure if there is sufficient interest. You might want to have a look at this adf.ly/uncAB What is it, and is there a linux version? I don't currently have a windows machine, and I don't run random things I think that TeKheads Casino is good Idea.. something very simple and something running in autopilot mode Lottery is good too.. Biomech? Can you remind how lotteries work.. just for folks who dont know Well, short form, you pay into a pool, part of it goes to a jackpot, part of it to lesser prizes, and if the jackpot and prizes are not won, they carry over to the next round. I would be basing it on powerball, even using their numbers, cuz there's no way in hell I can fake that Exact rules, Well, I'll put up a proposal shortly. Not tonight, though, I've been up for close to 20 hours and I'm bushed.

Hey presstab, i'm liking the development and such thats going on at the moment! Currrently i have a block of 3356 with an age of 17.25 and a weight of 56800 and it still hasn't staked even though other smaller blocks with less age in my wallet are starting to stake. Does this happen occasionally or???
This happens to me pretty frequently. Not sure why. I've discussed it with Presstab, and he can shed no light on it either, but sometimes it seems to choose lower priority blocks. It's the "luck" part of minting.

Western media only takes out the worst of Islam. The wast majority are peacuful people who are muslims wants peace - but the media doesn't show them, they show the ruthless war path people instead.
When you say such things, please consider that some of us read Islamic world news directly and know, that only the worse of US is presented, only the worse of Israel is presented, and so forth. The same newspaper has totally different content in English, versus the native language. The Islamic world has been beaten with many falsehoods for many years. Well, maybe the Internet and the https will change that. "normal" behaviour doesn't sell copy. That's just the nature of media. I read what I can form many sources. I don't find Islam itself to be any more or less egregious than Judaism or Christianity. All three are patently ridiculous on their face, and with deeper examination only get worse. The words of the Q'uran, the Bible, or the Torah are sufficiently ambiguous that they can be used to justify practically anything. Religious RULE leads to a lot more trouble than religion itself. The middle east appears to be where the west was about the time that Islam was formed. Ruled by religion and resistant to anything that contradicts it's tenets, especially facts. Whether this is actually true, I can only surmise as I have never been off of the North American continent. But it certainly appears that way. If the above is true, there is going to be a rough transition. When a message took weeks to be delivered, there was room for a lot of nonsense in a local area. When it's nearly instant, then the ugly truth of religion becomes no more valid than most of us now think the Olympians are. A lot of people need to grow up. Not just over there. Because we in the West do not face the daily hell that a lot of the rest of the world faces, we tend to be more vocal than violent. But there are elements among us who are at LEAST as extreme and potentially violent as the worst of the middle eastern terrorists if they had the opportunity. you can`t say any religion ridiculous !! by the way which religion you are following ? Yes, I can, yes, I can prove it, and none at all. I'm an atheist. prove it ! An atheist !! ahaha Prove what? I need specifics. As I had posted earlier, I don't hate Islam. Don't like it either, but that's irrelevant. as a recovered christian, I do hate Christianity, but not christians. The deluded have my sympathy, and the vast majority of the clergy have my contempt, because there is no way an educated man can believe that tripe, thus they're hypocrites. I suspect much the same of Islam. And yes, I'm an atheist. I believe in one less god than the most monotheistic out there.

I have a warning on the wallet that says invalid checkpoint found! What is up with this im on version 2.1.1
If you're still synching, it probably just hasn't caught up. If it's in sync, I'd guess you're on a fork. Either way, it SHOULD correct itself. If it doesn't, delete everything but your wallet and config and resynch, either with the bootstrap or from scratch. Now that the checkpoint server is live and the version control won't connect to older clients, it should be fine.

vegas and Trololoh, you're both usually better than this.
I worked with Noise23 just before the latest TRK release as a guinea pig, he taught me some things about coding that I didn't know, and was a stand up guy. I think English is not his first language, so things may not come out as they should. Also, why shouldn't it be fun?
NVCS is a variable algorithm. It is the basis of ALL Pos coins except (to my knowledge) HYP, PPC (which NVC itself is descended from), and NXT, which is totally new code, not the satoshi client modified. This is not news. Just when it's going to happen might be.
Hey Biomech, good to see you. You know how POS is. Youve got to structure your wallet to stake for maximum reward. I lost my patience , as noise23 was the only one that knew the exact block size for maximum reward, and had been asked 3 different times what the max block size should be without hitting max reward and gave very vague answers. Initially I asked him 'is it 2000", noise23 replied "ya something like that", then when I did my math and asked again in a much more direct stance, he finally told everyone its really 4000. Nuff said on that. It almost seemed like a game. I do enjoy crypto, and it can be a lot of fun, but its work too. The changes were coming, and I was structuring my wallet and had no idea what size to block my coins. I ran out of patience and lost my head, and others were asking and got the same result. I saw no one speak up, as a born leader ,I finally had to, and got the answers everyone needed. I dont like drama, or fudding or causing problems, but I DO need the correct, and accurate information to structure my wallet for max performance. I even wrote a stellar article on truckcoin on my blog to get the word out about how awesome truckcoin is. Hundreds of vistors a day will see this. I called it "the 2nd best coin in crypto" (next to HYP). I STILL feel the same way today. http://bitcoinlasvegas.net/category/highest-percent-proof-of-stake-coins/page/4/ Ill always ask niceley, once, even twice. Everytime! The best to you Bio Vegas Noted. I'm hardly an angel. I've lost it more than once in a public forum, and was often right. Just as often got my head bit off for being a jerk, too. At any rate, it was just a bit surprising from you. You seem a level headed player, and in this game that's a rarity. I've talked with Noise quite a bit recently, and while he is indeed talented, he's also still learning. I suspect (and he can correct me where I'm wrong) that he may not know the answers when you ask them. I am, due to him, Presstab, Thundertoe, and a couple of others, slowly learning bits and pieces of the code myself. While most coins are based on bitcoin code, they can vary significantly due to one or two lines of code. Documenting changes in the code is just not done, even though it ought to be, and the developer stepping into another's shoes, even if they're damn good, are going to be stumbling in the dark for some time just figuring out what the other guy did, and probably even more time attempting to figure out what the hell he was thinking. Of course, there's a lunatic running about this forum that thinks I'm shakezulu (or at least last week that was the charge) and I know immense amounts about the code I really wish it were true. I'd not be so damn confused looking at coin code. Anyway, I'm very tired and I suspect it's showing in my rambling. Have a good one.

Having an issue with the latest build for Mac OS X. when I launch the wallet it states that the wallet could not bind to 127.0.0.1 and that the wallet might already be running, but it isn't.
Suggestions??
Thanks
I don't know the command for OSX, but I can tell you more or less what happened. The daemon or QT didn't shut down properly. Somewhere in your memory, it's still running. The simple solution in Linux is sudo killall truckcoind if you're running the daemon. or, if you can reboot without problems, just do that and restart the client. I don't know the kill command(s) for OSX, but since it's also a POSIX derivative, it ought to be similar. FWIW, I've had this happen with numerous coins at different times. It seems to just be something that happens from time to time.

All of those cryptsy withdrawls are in the blockchain, Arsenay. You can check the blockchain explorer. I suggest building and running the newest version. If upgrading your gui build environment is not possible, try running a headless tekcoind instead. with such approaches tomorrow and console application will not work. Arsenay, you can have multiple versions of QT on your linux install. QT5 will still compile QT4 if you use the command line qmake-qt4 instead of just qmake. You don't have to recompile everything or symlink dependencies or any of that. Assuming you're running a debian variant, at least. I'm not familiar with the non Debian versions, I run ubuntu. However, I do primarily run daemons, they're less resource intensive and do all the same things, just no pretty pictures. minor security update wallet bababah .... lead to upgrade to assemble a new boost, qt, gcc ... it is fine )) The newest update (I didn't do it, but I did look at the code) is just a change in a few lines regarding versioning. It will not connect to older peers. No changes in dependencies since the last upgrade. Not mandatory, either, but it will tend to stabilize the network as the newer, non excluded peers all use checkpointing. Theoretically, this should eliminate or at least vastly reduce the number of orphans.
