Well, then I'll retract my fangs. I should have known you weren't a native speaker, your grammar is too good. Cheesy It drives me nuts when native speakers screw it up, and that one especially.

Hey man dont loose your nerve like that if someone speaks losely. Some people is just not native English speakers. Smiley

I shall loose my wrath on the losers who are native speakers and don't lose any sleep over loosing their wallet!
1642  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Zimstake (ZS) - PURE POS - No IPO / PreMine - SHA-256 on: August 07, 2014, 06:59:10 PM
I don't understand you people... People are selling to this retarded prices and you blame CG? What does price have to do with developer?! Are you into coin or into developer?! Did you forget that the purpose of cryptocurrencies is not to get your asses rich, but to have an option of direct money transaction without fuckers that are taking your money (among other awesome things that crypto provides)? Well, THIS COIN IS WORKING PERFECTLY so if you want bigger price, go ahead AND START ADOPTING ZIMSTAKE, do something, don't just sit there and yell "where is the dev, I am loosing my money! (yes, you, and only YOU are loosing your money. And don't flatter yourself by calling yourself investors because you are not an investor, you are a gambler...)" You are all getting nervous and angry because he is not showing up and the price is collapsing... Well, ok, but, if the price starts to climb again and goes really high WITHOUT CG showing up, will you then tell him he is AWESOME and shouldn't show up by any chance while the price is going up? All I can see is: if the price is going up that is because of the awesome community, but if the price goes down then it is dev to blame and where is dev... Trust me, with that kind of thinking, no one will do anything for you ever (and don't forget he is doing it FOR FREE).

You are behaving like you were promised a profit...

Even if CG is playing games with you, that doesn't mean this coin will die or should die nor does it mean you can't earn money from it... You just need to start doing something other than complaining...

+ a lot, but minus one big one.

LOSE, NOT LOOSE!!! I hereby loose the dogs of war upon your grammar. You lose.

Cheesy I really don't understand how I managed to make such a mistake since I know what is lose and what is loose and yes, it should say lose (I know my English isn't perfect but this kind of mistake... I really don't get it Cheesy). On the other hand, English is not my first language so I'm pretty satisfied with my knowledge of English language (and I completely understand you, I also hate when I see confusion with your and you're, than and then, etc...). C'est la vie...

Well, then I'll retract my fangs. I should have known you weren't a native speaker, your grammar is too good. Cheesy It drives me nuts when native speakers screw it up, and that one especially.

hopefully one day 10 fire = 1 btc Smiley

Definitely a nice thought Cheesy

Entered the contest, and I want to say that the daemon for this coin works very well. I was delayed by it in entering the contest because my coins went into stake Tongue

Earthcoin America, I highly recommend that you contact Karen De Coster from LewRockwell.com and Detroit: Rust to Riches. She's a huge supporter of the anarchistic renewal going on in Detroit.

I am too.

Shooting in the dark here without more detail, but did you download the blockchain that's posted in the OP?

I did not, I just grabbed the wallet. I will get it downloaded and see if that solves the issues, thanks!

We've hardforked the blockchain to keep it alive, and as a result it doesn't sync up past block 3 on it's own.  I've identified the reason this happens and I've found some code from another coin that did a similar hard fork.  We are working on getting the wallet back to 100% autonomous syncing, and then possibly integrating another future hard fork to return the specs close to the way they were originally.

Once we iron out the lingering bugs and release the next version it would be a good time to re-launch with a fresh thread to get people noticing that we're out of the woods.  I'll check to see what we can do about cryptocointalk - there might be a thread or something already.

at least having the blockchain there for download makes it nice and fast for people, is there a way to include it in the wallet zip? so it's just one download?

I'm up to 1400 TECH now... I'm hoping for a decent night of tips so I can buy another few K before price jumps, really not that many coins on the sell wall so I'm hope'n tonights a good night for me

Technically, no, there's not really a problem doing that. However, I'd make it a separate, third option. Because I personally am picky about such things, and I doubt I'm unique. Plus, there are three major platforms involved, Windows, OSX, and Linux. All three would have to be separate packages, whereas with three wallets and one blockchain, it's not much of a hassle for anyone concerned. Let's face it, wallets are not big programs Cheesy

please post names and addresses so I can make donations to developers

defaced is doing the coding and setting up a testnet. I think the coding is actually complete, but untested. Tranz found and pointed out the error. Presstab had some input on it, but I don't know to what extent. No idea what their addresses are, but defaced and Tranz are the developers of, repsectively, Franko and Aiden, and Hobonickels. Tranz is also involved with Bottlecaps, but I'm not sure to what extent.
1649  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][1000 SYNC] X11|POS|ANON NITESEND|Profit share|Asset Backed Sync Foundation on: August 06, 2014, 08:52:08 PM
Maybe a weird question, but is there a way to prevent a wallet daemon from staking?

Once the multipool transfers Sync from exchange to pool wallet there is many times some delay between the 6 exchange accounts we use for trading (3 exchanges*2 Algos)
Sometimes the pool wallet start staking during the payout, and the outgoing payments are blocked. We have to wait 50 blocks again before wallet balance is available again for payout to miner.

We have no benefit from staking (its like one hour max only) but big disadvante. So, is there a suffix that prevents Sync wallet from staking??

That said:

All payments of shift 40 have been made!

yes. One line in the .conf file. reserverbalance=9999999

That is specifically to exclude a given number of coins from staking so they are spendable. setting it to six (or more) digits pretty well guarantees that it will never stake anything Cheesy

Anyone want to give a pointer or two? My wallet is perma-syncing without actually syncing. Debug window spamming about node connection timeouts. I remember having something similar with Darkcoin at a certain point a while back, but forgot how to resolve.
Shooting in the dark here without more detail, but did you download the blockchain that's posted in the OP? It SHOULD get you in sync in a few minutes time. I had some trouble building the wallet (thus the modified .pro file), but once I did and downloaded the blockchain, I was in sync in a couple minutes.

Something else, and this doesn't just apply to Mac users. If you are having a problem with the defaults, for whatever reason, you can start the qt file with the switch -datadir <foldername>. put your wallet and .conf file in that folder, and it will load and sync there.

I don't know how to do shell scripts or batch files in OS/X, but in Windows/DOS you'd just make a file called something like sync.bat that has exactly one line in it:
sync-qt -datadir=<foldername> and it will launch from that folder every time.

CG is alive, he told me he solved a big problem in the wallet via PM. I think he wants not to be disturbed while improving ZS.

Way too late. One has to be disturbed at a fundamental level to come up with Zimstake. (evil grin)
1653  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: HoboNickels - HBN - Now Celebrating 1 Year! on: August 04, 2014, 09:21:10 PM
I've never heard of allcoin. Seems sketchy to me. I'd rather trade on mintpal or bittrex but cryptsy is good enough and I've never had major problems with them.

Hello to All,  Smiley

First post here on HBN topic, but reading it for a long time. BTW, thanks for all the hard work Tranz and others!

Just want to let you know that I've been trading GRW on Allcoin for some time and found it very reliable so far. So this new HBN market, even small, seems like a great step ahead to me!

Greetings,
Alex_Koekie

Thanks Alex! Nice to have you on board. Welcome and enjoy the stay.

I'll chime in on this too. I've traded on allcoin off and on almost since they opened. I had one issue with them, and they solved it very quickly. Full disclosure, it was my mistake and they didn't make me feel as stupid as I actually was. Other than that, I've never had a problem and they seem quite reputable.

I'll be in on this one too Cheesy Waiting for coins to hit my wallet.

Do any of you know of any open source casino packages? Gambling is always a good way to promote a coin. I might set up a simple lottery as well, but I'm not sure I'll have the time very soon. In the meantime, Y'all are bringing the fire back Cheesy

guys, is it possible to stake sync on a raspberry pi? don't want to have my macbook running all the time. raspberry pi would be perfect for staking and securing the network!

Don't take this as gospel, because I'm the opposite of an expert, but I think that you should be able to run the daemon under linux on the pi. You won't have coin control that way, but you could run the qt wallet on another machine and the daemon's wallet will update as long as they are the same wallet.dat file.

Where I'm uncertain on this is whether the pi can hold the blockchain. I think it should be able to, but you might need external storage.
1656  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [TEK] TEKcoin sha256 PoS/Pow 40%+ SuperStake in 30+ days on: August 04, 2014, 05:31:31 PM
just bought some TEK on cryptsy in an attempt to get the ball rolling, then about 9 .00025827 BTC TEK sells came through instantly to bring it from 18000 to 15000,

someone's system is actively making spread orders to pull TEK down into the dirt, otherwise we would be at 25000+ levels.

it's really awful someone would be holding it back, probably the same person that was dumping 50k TEK the other day... way too much market manipulation here.

if someone would buy 380 TEK we could get it to 21000 levels pretty quick, this guy's just trying to seed the bed to try and get others to sell cheap, maybe if people see some growth in price they wont be so quick to dump.

I am buying as quickly as I can acquire BTC.

Jason

same here! but the miners are only producing $12 a day, I can only do so much

I wish we could do something to mess with that guys system/bot and at least disrupt his price manipulation enough to gain some ground.

Remember the words on the cover of the Hitch-hikers guide to the galaxy.

This is a few people taking advantage of the people who see the sky falling because of the staking issue. It's going to be fixed, and then they'll come up with some other fud to drive the price down so they can acquire more coin.

I'm going to make a predicton here. I have no money to bet on it, or I would.

In a few days, the coin's mechanical malfunction will be fixed. We'll all be staking happily again. THEN, the weak hands will dump all their stakes, holdings, and contents of their bowels over a day to two days time. TEK will drop like a rock.

If I'm right, those of us with brains will buy up that cheap TEK and stake it, and sell it DEAR when it stakes. In a short while we'll see 50K again.

haha, bct has become so scammy that when someone randoms tips coins it throws everyone off.  lol.

There's some truth to that Cheesy Thanks for the tip. It shall stake and do nothing else for the time being Cheesy

Yep it is the same. Hmmm I need to get Ubuntu GUI on one of my machines so that I can do some testing.

Current .pro file has the static tags? I don't know how to do that, but if it does, I'll give it a go in a bit for 14.04.
