1641  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Something Like This Happen To You on: June 16, 2022, 04:56:06 PM
That is so true - a desire to win is not wrong. So is lust for money.
One should not be greedy and lust for the money. Having a self control and stopping when needed is the essence of gambling. Better safe than sorry.
A lust for money is the one that is bad because when you say lust it means a strong desire and it can make you obsessed to it but it is not wrong if winning is not your main objective when gambling. Win can come the more you won't expect that it will happen and that is the best feeling because you did not force yourself too much looking for it.

The true essence of gambling is about being entertained but a self control might still be needed even if this is your only goal because having fun can also be addicted and it you continue playing, you are going to burn more money in the game. If ever you end on that situation then the only solution left is to stop it.
1642  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Are trading platforms useful? on: June 16, 2022, 04:03:20 PM
If we look at trading platforms all are not useful some of them are absolutely scam but some are very unique and helpful like binance and kucoin are such a big platform, they are giving a best platform for trading as well many promotions to make some extra money along with trading. We can not trust all trading platform. Some of them is just come to scam all traders money and gone away so be an experienced trader to gain good things from these platforms.
When he says trading platforms, we can assume that he mean there is general. So, the answer would still be useful but if according to you then we need to be specific because not all of them are legit but yeah those scam platforms are not useful but they are only damaging the reputation of cryptocurrencies because when a normal people see the reports about a crypto exchange scamming millions and billions of dollars they will then think negatively and they won't have the motivation to try them. In fact it have happened many times already, I am talking about the hacks but despite of that, the adoption is still going smoothly fortunately.
1643  Economy / Economics / Re: Stable coin can solve poverty on: June 15, 2022, 08:20:07 PM
People should see the other way around and we know that Poverty is a global problem that had been tried to be resolved overall the century but still not able to solve it out thats why its irrelevant that you would really be expecting for a stable coin to solve poverty is something out of context or connection.
Its true that it could improve  the lives of some people but only to those who do know on how to play out in the market and this is something needing some effort for you to do so.
People can use stable coins for staking to earn and also stable coins can be used to prevent volatile cryptos from dumping hard. These two are the only way that I know that can help people to get out of poverty but of course they need to do it right because if not then these can also make them even more poorer.

It needs an effort to learn crypto activities or even other things which can provide you a good income but if the person is not willing to face it or they are scared then that is already their problem anymore. I guess they don't want to change their lives for the better and they are already used to the life that they have grown with.
1644  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread -- 2021/22 winner - Real Madrid! on: June 15, 2022, 07:25:40 PM
Teams like Manchester City, PSG and several other clubs with the quality of players they have will definitely be favorites in the championship and that is a fact. but in this case regardless of who is the favorite in fact the champion does not know anything like this.
The star players do have a big factor that is definitely expected to win, but on the other hand there are other factors such as team strength, strategy and mentality in winning. This is also very important to support whether or not to be a champion.
The reality is that when you have a team like City, which has star players but more importantly a star manager, it is always a contender to win everything they play. Premier league? They will probably win, FA cup? They will probably win, UCL? They will probably win, whatever they do, they will probably win it. That is what I think will happen with City, Liverpool, Real and Bayern this year.

I know I said two premier league teams, but both of them are always there to win, and they can't be separated in this case. This is why I believe that there are just some teams, not many, only like maybe handful of them, which will play to win everything they play in.
1645  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is million token dead? on: June 15, 2022, 02:55:38 PM
Is million token volume is accurate? I see Million token price today is 2$  and the marketcap is 2M and trading volume  of 17k in the last 24 hours.

Is very low.. Is it dead what you think?

In compassion to other coin   like Derace token has marketcap of 11M and trading volume of 2M

Million token is dead the coin of techlead?
I recheck its volume in cmc and there is a warning sign, it means it is not accurate but the other coin derace has a legit volume. Millions token ath was over 200 dollars, it was a year ago before the bear market occurs, so maybe this coin is really dead? But not totally since there are still some volumes left and a few exchanges still allows this coin for trading but for your safety you can just stay away from it if ever you are planning to invest.

You can instead go on the other coin derace as its ath is only at 8usd. That wasn't a lot and I think there is still a chance for this coin to recover together with others when the market returns to normal.
1646  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: If you are given this opportunity to choose which one will it be on: June 14, 2022, 08:51:04 PM
f you are given the chance to only pick a wallet with 5000 pieces of Cardano or Avalanche which one will you go for and why?.
I will prefer to pick ADA, i know that if AVAX was a very solid blockchain but this doesn't meant if ADA was bad. My main concern was on the AVAX that is still have connection with the terra luna blockchain. This is giving a very bad image to the blockchain. I will prefer ADA at this moment.

AVAX may still in a good rate to buy but there are so many things that may make the buyers to think again and again. This coin is not a safe heaven for now.

Is not it better to get a coin that has no connection with a project that alreayd collapse?
Both are solid but I didn't know that one has a connection to terra. It's only a connection anyway but it does not mean that they will have the same plan. You can just ignore this fact and continue investing in avax. Avax did not show any shady acts lately, right? So, it's fall in its price can be natural only and is caused by the bear market.

The two coins are close to being a top coin but I don't consider the two as a safe haven, sorry. For me there is only one safe haven and that is bitcoin but no worries as I would still invest on the two coins here only for the sake of diversification. They are still a better pick than the coins that I don't totally know.
1647  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Slots is More Likely to Cause Gambling Problem on: June 14, 2022, 06:28:11 PM
A question to slots players out there, have you ever felt the uncontrollable urge to gamble after exposing yourself to slots games for a long period of time?  How did you manage to keep sane after being exposed to the most addictive gambling game in the industry?
Oh wow that's a big surprise to me, had no idea slot machines where so addictive. If you had asked me before I would have said that sports betting is much more addictive. Personally I like to do both but wouldn't say that I am addicted to either one. If I had to choose between the two I would probably pick sport betting because it's more fun and also more profitable. Slot machines are very common in my country, you can see them in many bars and every time I go drinking with friends with we spend a couple of Euros on them. The thing with slots is that we never really take any profits, if we win something we just spend it on more spins. In sports betting it's different, I like to take profits and save them. The idea is to one time win the jackpot on a slot machine, whereas the winnings on sports you already know when placing the bet. In my country I see many more people outside of the sport betting places than at a slot machine.
Really? big surprise? But, I think it was a no-brainer that slots are considered to be one of the addictive gambling games because one is it was so easy to play and second is its catchy graphics and sound, third is this is classic. On most places slot machines where scattered but now it is revolutionized thanks to the internet and cryptocurrencies.

We can think that the game that we are hooked on are much more addictive than to slots because why would we become addicted to it in the first place? Not only the jackpot but it's also possible to win big on slots. That is if you bet more.
1648  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Cryptocurrency Huge Down from ATHs. what will happen the next ? on: June 14, 2022, 03:10:41 PM
Cryptocurrency is now in a big crashing. And whole crypto marketcap now under $1Trillion. What will the next? and How long do you think it will take for the market to recover?
Maybe this situation will last for a while before support returns to the crypto market.
Until then, we can use it to buy lots of potential coins that can increase again, such as bitcoin, ethereum, bnb, etc.
But make sure before we buy, we have to analyze the movement so we can buy the coin at a low price.
We don't know how long the market will take to recover and can only hope it won't be long, but that depends on how the support comes in later.
Whatever rate you’re buying from now is a low rate, the market is in bearish trend and that’s it for now. If you keep waiting for the lowest of the trend, you wouldn’t get it; what do you think it is going to be and when is that going to be? People wait for the lowest down trend and end up missing out from the market because of that. By the time you’d know it, the market has already started to go up in value. And whatever rate you buy now, just know that you will recover it in the future, as long as you invested in a good crypto asset.
1649  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: A season for stop loss on: June 13, 2022, 09:03:30 PM
This is the best time to pick your stop loss and make it an essential part of your trade. The market keeps falling and investors and traders alike keeps crying. It seems some wild prediction of Bitcoin giving those who missed the early opportunity of buying is coming alive. To avoid been caught up and trapped  by the market volatility stop loss should be as useful as every other technical or fundamental tool you can think of. It is better to risk a small fraction of your assets than losing it all
I think that stop loss is not needed anymore because the price seems to stop falling lately as they are already at their lowest. What is happening is that they only increase a little and then they fall again on their previous low and then repeat this cycle again and again but even if we are not on this situation, there are still traders that don't use a stop loss. Maybe stop loss is really not an essential part of trading?

A true investor and trader does not cry but those who cry are weakling or they are newbies on this scene. If you have picked the right set of coins, it is better to not loss anything even if that is small because their value can always recover.
1650  Economy / Gambling / Re: Comparison between bitsler and stake on: June 13, 2022, 05:56:58 PM
Bistler is too big to be compared with stake, bistler is one of the oldest casinos to offer the bankroll option for the users to save their money and warn from the revenue of the site. I don't think stake has such features and coming from the angle of promotion both have done well as better and also have strong promotions when they were coming up back then.
I can`t agree with you. It is possible that bistler is older than stake, but it doesn`t mean the same time, that bistler better than stake because it is older. There are different features that makes stake interesting for gamblers and there are features that makes bistler interesting for another gamblers. I think that both casino are famous enough and they don`t need compare - they both have their gamblers which don`t want to change casino.
Same here because I think that stake casino is much bigger than bitsler. This one is obvious because we can see how big their promotions are and the number of players plus the amount of bonus that they are giving (it is possible to see it, if you are a member of their vip telegram group). What is only true here is that bistlser is older than stake but stake still manage to get the trust of the public despite of being a late comer on the gambling scene. Stake don't have an invest in bankroll feature but it's not a big deal.

@RILWAN if what you are saying is true that bitsler has a better promotion then why would the op come and complain here?
1651  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Are trading platforms useful? on: June 13, 2022, 01:49:20 PM
of course very useful mate!, but there are many trading platforms in the crypto currency world,
of course we have to follow only the best, such as OKX, FTX, Bitfinex, Coinbase and of course Binance,
you will feel safe if you trade there, and stay away from new platform, because many have been scammed
Those are quite important places and they are "useful" in the sense that they are allowing us to do what we want to do. However, they are not useful to make money, they are just there to help us do what we want. Think about it this way, if you have a math book, you are not a math genius, you just have a book that helps you understand it better, but you still need to study it.

IMO, exchanges and trading platforms are the books, you need to study them and learn to be better, they are there as tools that will help you, but you are still required to be willing to do all of it in order to keep it going for a long time.
1652  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin will Hit over 700% or $250k is this possible? on: June 12, 2022, 06:14:02 PM
Almost all people who know about Bitcoin, strongly believe that Bitcoin is the most promising future asset. Before this prediction was published, there were also those who predicted that Bitcoin would reach a price of $100k in 2022. For me, predicting the price of Bitcoin is very interesting, but let's not talk about the timing. Because people like us who believe in the future of Bitcoin don't need that. For me at this time what needs to be done is to buy according to the money available and hold it.
What about the haters and normal individuals that don't dig much deeper in btc? They already heard about btc but they don't thought of what you said. Only the solid btc supporters are the only one's that can think of that but yeah there are other better predictions that this one.

This is not the first and this is not going to be the last but the more the adoption we get the more the prediction that could  come about btc reaching a higher value. 100k for btc is still weak. Maybe you are not aware that there are experts that say's btc can reach 1 million dollars? But this is the one that can reach a decade or two and not the 250k that is said in the article.
1653  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: The Legendary Forumla of Dip = Opportunity on: June 11, 2022, 03:51:06 PM
Trusting those stable coins after Luna crash is not at all good decision and the owner of funds has cashed out millions already and his Twitter profile going private giving clear signs of rug making the market loose badly and also some mentally sick due to big loss. This might happen with some other stable coin also so for me it's not going to work anymore but yes investment in btc is surely wise moves especially during these dips contrary to those are selling at this time.Just holding them not trading for long term is best solution for me.
It has always been a complaint about stable coins, take for example I can remember that a lot of people used to complain about USDT, until today there are still people complaining about how it is not fully backed by the US dollar, but by some other assets that the company owns or whatever. So in a case like this, maybe considering the stable coins which are decentralized might be a better option.

But as for me, I haven’t really made use of any stable coin, I’m always making use of Bitcoin, ethereum, and a few other cryptocurrencies that I feel are reliable, and no stable coin is on the list. But if anyone should be considering a stable coin, then I might say that DAI, which is a decentralized stable coin would be a good option here.
1654  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is Bitcoin the best investment at the moment? on: June 11, 2022, 01:46:36 PM
...
Since entering starting in May the price of bitcoin has continued to decline very deeply. Even the price of bitcoin is currently trading in the $30k-$29k price range. Therefore it seems that bitcoin is difficult to hit the $50k price target in June even to get back to the $40k area it's still difficult.
if you look at the price of bitcoin from a short term perspective (june) then Bitcoin will not be possible to reach that price ($50k)...
The first half of June is still not finished yet, and what if the price the next couple of days can rise above 30 to 35k? That will now be easy for btc to reach 50k as soon as the rise is continuous but if not June then we still have July and so on. We aren't rushing anyway so btc can always take its time. When it comes to the reason why people invest in btc.

I think the number one right now is because of its value that can potentially increase by up to a million dollar per one btc but before, the main reason why people invest is because they can feel freedom with it, which is very different from the fiat that is controlled by banks and governments.
1655  Economy / Gambling / Re: How do you know how to trust online sportsbooks? on: June 10, 2022, 02:48:06 PM
first of all a site should have a license. if it possible I take a look about "privacy" and "about us" or other text (just be sure they have inserted useful information and it's not a mere copy paste from other platform).
I made a research online to verify and read scam accusations (I know that most of the site have some accusations but it's interesting understand why people are complaining).
Last but not least, I have a look on their topic in bitcointalk. If they have any promotion active or any kind of marketing.
What if you found out that they have a marketing/promotions on going on bitcointalk, what impression you would give? I supposed good? But you should rework that because there are also scam sites that are being advertised here 1xbit for example but there might be some others which I am not aware of but I guess you will still find the truth about them later on because I can see how careful you are before you try any sportsbook.

Having a license is also one of my bucket list but unlike you I don't take the time to read the privacy page, I don't know why but I know that they are also important and it has something to do with our data's. For the about us, I sometimes read this. Reading this will allow us to know the vision and mission of the sportsbook and also if they are connected to some other sportsbook or gambling sites.
1656  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How do you educate petty traders in adopting Bitcoin? on: June 10, 2022, 05:48:32 AM
What's your opinion in educating these petty traders and letting them know more about Bitcoin because  I believe this is amongst the grassroot adoption which starts from the base as they do transact more often than some of the big companies we hear of. Although the petty traders do little amount but it is most often on daily basis.
What steps would you take in drawing the attention of the traders to Bitcoin?
Some vendors that you see in the street may look like they are poor but they are actually rich. They have a better house, have cars and their family live comfortably and they all achieved this because of their business so they are also part of the top class citizens in the society.

I believe that they already know bitcoin and maybe some of them are willing to accept btc if that is what is demanded by their customers but for those who are uneducated, they are the ones that we should be concerned of because they may not heard of btc before. We can educate them by simply telling them what is btc and what is its use and maybe do some actual demonstration.
1657  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Well, you put your money in your luna if it gets forked? on: June 09, 2022, 08:23:20 PM
If you are ready to bear the risk then there is nothing wrong with trying, because at this time the recovery is indeed happening and the price is starting to increase again, but some investors still feel doubts about the coin because the decline that occurs is very large so the confidence to rise is very difficult to happen, but we just see the developments for the future hopefully big changes can occur.
I think one to two mistakes is already enough but more than that is not good anymore because it just shows that you did not learn anything but you are still like a fool believing on someone's promise even if they already did a mistake before. There might be some recovery but that was only small compared to what it's lost and I don't think its old price will come back because of some many factors like the supply and trust of the people and also the exchangers.

So, what if luna gets forked. What will be its role? To recover what the old investors have lost? LoL. That generous then but no it is not as simple as that. Some are given an airdrop but the amount is too tiny. Investors are still the ones that will put money and expect for the coin to have a different faith than the other one.
1658  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How do you spread BTC to people within you on: June 09, 2022, 06:55:21 PM
As a lover of Bitcoin how do you spread Bitcoin, i mean how do you tell people about Bitcoin and it's adoptions?
I have been able to start up the first bitcoin book club in my city with a couple of my friends. Some months ago I talked to my parents about bitcoin. I regularly post short videos and pictures about bitcoin on my WhatsApp status. One other thing I'm trying to do in my community is translating bitcoin materials and resources into our local languages. The goals is not to shove it down their throats but to help them understand what this new innovation is one step at a time.
Oh was it you who created a thread about bitcoin book club here in bitcointalk? I read it last time but you better include that link on this reply so that many people can find it out. Anyway I like your initiative there. That seem to be the best answer in the op's question because you're not only spreading the word btc to your friends and family members but you are trying to spread it in the people on your own city/country.

Another thing that I like is you are taking time to translate your materials but for the many, they mainly use the English language but not all can understand English properly and there are terms that are hard, so it is important to explain it on our own local language.
1659  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETH Is A Scam Like Terra Luna And Only Makes Millionaires Rich Who Hold 1000ETH on: June 09, 2022, 04:08:10 PM
I think ethereum will drop back around 1200 to 1350.. from studying the Fibonacci retracement over the recent years.  Ofcourse I can’t gurantee it. But I just think it’s substantially possible.
I know people have lost a lot more than me, but I’m not a rich man.  I put most of my money in these things and it’s halved.  I’m holding because I have no choice.
But it is not the question here instead it is about the comparison of Ethereum and Terra Luna and this is a different currency and a different project in which also has different supporters and this is the reality here.
Ethereum is a long run currency now while LUNA is just a scam project that exposed recently.
so there is no a like from these 2 .
Maybe he is trying to say that eth is following the path of luna because it will still drop a lot? But he shouldn't speculate like that because he himself invests invest on eth. Instead what he must do is try to be more positive. Eth and luna are both the same, they are cryptos and they are altcoins but they are different in terms of credibility as one if just a scam while the other is legit though there are some people that think eth is a scam coin.

Well, if that is what they think about then no problem but we who believe in eth can just close our ears. We know to ourselves if what is a true scam coin and what is a legit coin. They will only regret it soon once they see the big improvements coming from this coin.
1660  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading Cryptocurrency for 1 Week! on: June 09, 2022, 08:54:23 AM
Honestly, if someone could turn such a small amount into something valuable, that would have been awesome, but it is not a long term solution at all. I always thought about doing something similar, like shoot videos of 1 hour size, where I trade, and I do not have to keep it a live video, meaning I could have like 10 times a day where I try to do 1 hour of trading, and whichever one I made the most profit, I will publish that.

Each and everyday that would be done to show how I could profit. When in reality, behind the scenes, I had 9 other tries where I may have lost some money. This could be done, and I am not doing it because it is unethical.
It is possible. There are lots of stories that I've heard and seen on the past where they can be able to turn a small amount of money into a big one. It was only about consistency, and doing a lot of trial and error till they finally make it.

Watching it live would have been better because we can saw the actual moves he is doing and we can see if he did make a mistake or a lose but the only downside is, it is going to be consuming in terms of internet data, electricity, storage/ram, and others. That would be the reason why he recorded the video instead and do some massive cutouts because it was a whole week of crypto trading.
