1721  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: March 27, 2023, 12:44:06 PM
TNT had a chance to win the game if only Rondae Hollis-Jefferson was able to make both of his free throws in the dying seconds of the 4th quarter. The game was pushed to overtime and the Meralco won the game. It was a good game overall and props for TNT for making a comeback after a huge deficit and making it a close game in the end.  It is now a tied series. I thought this will be TNT all the way but Meralco proves that they can give TNT a good fight. I wonder what the odds for the next game will be.

After winning game 2, I might assume that bookies will give TNT a decent odd I mean they will still the favorite here but unlike with game 1 and 2 which they've got a lesser odd compared to Meralco who's being an underdog and those who trust and bet for them during a game with a ML for sure enjoy the outcome.

No available odd though, but if my observation will be right, I will take TNT to win game 3 or hopefully the handicap will not be that high.

I agree with you that TNT should have decent odds, and I'm sure everyone will be betting on them. I think the problem here is the inconsistency of their import, who had some words before about being challenged by Brownlee. However, I don't think he can beat JB. I heard during the game that he was injured, and that's probably one of the reasons why he has not contributed much, unlike in Game 1.
TNT's import isn't that explosive like the other imports out there who is scoring 30+ points and shooting threes. What's good with him is his perimeter shooting and his ability to draw fouls (he took only 11 free throw attempts on Game 1, but a whopping 20 free throws in Game 2). However, even though their import isn't that explosive offensively, he has enough help from the star-studded locals of TNT thus, they are getting some wins. Put him on an independent team, and that team will suffer more.

Now with regards to JB and RHJ beef, I don't also think that Hollis-Jefferson has the capabilities to beat Brownlee. I mean in all stats, Hollis-Jefferson might have better stats, but in terms of impact on his team, I believe Brownlee has more impact than Hollis-Jefferson. Nevertheless, it's good to see these 2 teams battle for the title in the PBA Finals. Anyway, I also think that TNT will get Game 3, but if McDaniels will be that explosive again like what he did in Game 2, and Newsome will play better on Game 3, I think the Bolts can take Game 3. Well, let's just watch how will it goes. Smiley

Hold on, but if you must buy now be wise to use spare income.
I hope that you will not regret if you're the one who is waiting still for the price of Bitcoin to go down.

You use the word "will" meaning you're certain that the price of Bitcoin will not come up soon? Did you predict it? Did you use some crystal ball to predict the future with 100% accuracy? Using the word "will" and "might" will change the meaning of your first sentence. You think you're sure that price of Bitcoin will not come up soon? Well, you might be true that prices of Bitcoin will not come up soon because it might experience some selling pressure in the future thus, putting the price of Bitcoin to go lower, but at the same time, we might see Bitcoin going up to as high as $30,000. Many are bullish right now with what's happening with crypto, and TBH it might continue for the rest of the year, and it will be the start of the bull run.

Buying Bitcoin also depends on the time you're willing to hold it. If you want to buy Bitcoin and hold for at least 5 years, then I guess it's still a good thing to buy until now. On the other hand, I also suggests that we must wait for Bitcoin to go down a little bit before buying to maximize the profit (if it goes down Cheesy).
1723  Economy / Economics / Re: What's is daily budgets or expenses as a bitcoiner? on: March 27, 2023, 10:26:16 AM
I can't see the connection between the daily budgets or expenses and me as a Bitcoin or Bitcoiner or whatever term it is TBH.

As for my daily expenses, TBH my daily expenses is kind of low, and the reason is that I'm living on a third world country. I guess my daily expenses is lower than 10$. That includes my breakfast, morning snack, lunch, dinner, and sometimes midnight snack. I don't know if 10$ per day is too high or too low, but I find it low because I can still invest a portion of my monthly income. I'm also not commuting so I excluded transportation expenses because I'm working from our home. There are times where I'm spending more than 10$ because of some unexpected expenses like going out with friends, or buying things that I need.

Our daily expenses depends on the country we are living in. A first world country has a higher income, but a higher expenses as well and vice-versa.

Many (including me) congratulated you for your investment for the future of the baby, but TBH, I don't really care if you show some proof to it or not. Creating a thread like that, but wasn't true will not benefit you or me. Do you think how many here care about your proof now?

I hope OP will lock this thread anytime soon or just delete the whole thread maybe?
1725  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it safe to keep your money in bank? on: March 27, 2023, 06:56:38 AM
Why FMCPAY is a safe place to store your funds?

FMCPAY Exchange takes security seriously and has put in place a number of safeguards to protect your payments and personal information:

  • Two-factor authentication
  • KYC
  • Email verification

As the most trusted platform for cryptocurrency exchange by digital securities registered in the USA, FMCPAY can ensure your assets will be protected whenever you invest in this exchange. Moreover, it is the most suitable for newcomers in this crypto economy. Market cap & rank, prices, exchange volumes, and currency conversion! Track your holdings with our new portfolio and make detailed comparisons – plus stay updated with crypto news. With its user-friendly interface, you will find it easy to use and start investing or trading crypto.
It's kind of funny that you took advantage of what's happening with US banks right now by promoting your own exchange. Your exchange has no differences on the other exchanges out there.
More suitable for newcomers? How come? Show how it is more suitable for newcomers?
Market cap & rank, prices, exchange volumes, currency conversion? We can do that in either coingecko and coinmarketcap.
Portfolio tracker? We can also that on Coingecko and Coinmarketcap, and there are more out there where we can use to track our holdings.

Maybe the user-friendly interface is what's different with others, but still, I don't want to give my personal information to some exchange out there. You are also giving free coins to those who will do their KYC? I mean why? You want information of others for? Many people also don't like storing our money in an exchange and yet, you are promoting your exchange, and it's better than others because it has 2FA and Email Verification? Good luck then, but you've already mislead many people here.
1726  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Games & Metaverse Category Altcoins (are there any projects worth monitoring?) on: March 27, 2023, 06:42:25 AM
ILV is just an example of an older project I've been monitoring recently. and this is not a solicitation to buy. and please do your own analysis. because maybe friends here also find an altcoin project in the Games or Metaverse category which is also being monitored and might want to share the information here.
As a long time fan of Pokemon, like you I'm also monitoring this game for a long time already because it's kind of have the same vibe with Pokemon where you will catch Illuvials.

I'm always seeing when the will be releasing the game, but the P2E hype has went down already and yet, they still can't deliver their game to the public. They released their coin, listed it on exchange, but their game is still not playable. At best, I guess they will release this game on or before the bull run, so whenever the game released, and people liked it, most probably the price of it's token will rise.

How about guild of guardians? They also launched their tokens but still their game is still in development and not yet tested out. For me they should be in the list like ILV, its also worth noticing project since they made a lot of partnership even in the esport industry.

For now they only got the nfts sold out from their sales and tokens listed on some tier 1 exchange but once their game has been release surely the community will watch out for them.
This one as well is the one that I'm waiting back when the P2E games is still at hype.

I can still remember the time where I'm constantly waiting for new updates for the game, and yes until now they are still updating on their discord, but with other events whatsoever, and not the release of the game. They've been selling NFT characters on Immutable X already for a long time, but the game is still in development stages. I've seen also the gameplay online, and it seems pretty good at least since there's an adventure aspect on it which I often play the most. I wonder when they will release the game... or will they release the game. :X
1727  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Thanks to bitcoin on: March 27, 2023, 04:07:22 AM
I again remembered what happened during the pandemic where establishments are closing because of getting bankrupt.

People losing their jobs at that time which makes their life even harder. As for me, I'm thankful that I didn't experience that kind of thing (or at least I can say that I'm one of the lucky ones who had still an income source at that time). Bitcoin helped me a lot at that time. The Bitcoins that I'm getting from my signature campaign is the reason why I'm lucky during that time because I used my Bitcoin savings to have some money to buy things that we need. I even helped other people thru Bitcoin at that time (converted some of it and donated).

Bitcoin helped those average Joes out there for whatever reason it is that's for sure. Some probably now are working from their home instead of going to an office and work from 9-5 with the help of Bitcoin. Some now might be a millionaire because of Bitcoin. Some people's lives are now forever changed thanks to Bitcoin. I wonder how my life is in the past 3 years if I didn't know Bitcoin at all.  Huh

It's recently i know about Bitcoin and since i have noticed the important and kind of asset Bitcoin is , i have embrace Bitcoin to the fullest after making research of Bitcoin, a property was shared for me and i decided to sell half of the property to invest in Bitcoin, i have sold the property and i have decided to take the risk to invest for long term for Bitcoin after i notice that Bitcoin is an asset. The deal of investing my property money in Bitcoin has been done already.
Well, that might be the stupidest thing that you can ever done, but hey... it's your money, it's your property, and as long as you're ready for the possible risks and consequences that you might face then there's nothing wrong with it. If I were you, I will not sell my property just to buy Bitcoin. I hope that you will not regret making that decision because many did regret selling other things to buy Bitcoin. The problem with them is that they entered at a wrong time while in your case, Bitcoin is still in the process of recovery, and we are not yet still in a bull run.

Re: Bitcoin is an asset.
Bitcoin has been a currency every since. It's just that, because of it has the same feature as other assets out there like the Stock Market, and other precious metal which is volatile thus, some of the investors characterized Bitcoin as an asset. As for me, I think it's safe to say that Bitcoin can be both an asset and an currency right? Cheesy
1729  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: SIM Registration: Anong Dapat Ipag-alala? on: March 27, 2023, 03:10:18 AM

Hornets with MJ's management should be released and he's good that he's selling it now.
Dallas is such a terrible team by not having a good results with both Kyrie and Luka playing. The fans have expected a lot from both but that's it.
They're both great ball handlers but it seem that they're exploding and I mean by exploding is like that there's no direction while I'm seeing them play both.
Well, MJ got his profit now, so I guess it's time for him to sell his shares already. Now the question is will there be any buyer?

Luka-Kyrie tandem is a fail at least for me. Yes their offense got better (I guess), but their defense gotten worse. Their defense has been bad already since they got Irving, and letting go their defensive player just made them even worse defensively. No wonder why they are now out of the play-in tournament.

Pat Bev though, funny that when he scored against Lebron, he gestures that James is way too small for him.  Cheesy
It's the same as what Luka said over Booker. "Everybody acting tough, when they're up."
At least he must've do that kind of gesture when the game is close. Do it when it's still anybody's game. He's kind of funny like what you said, but at least he isn't the same as what "Dynasty" Brooks is currently doing to many players. Cheesy
1731  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: March 27, 2023, 02:17:11 AM
Kawhi is having a bad night scoring only 12 points with 4/16 on the field. Other players helped offensively as well, but the combination of Ingram, Murphy III, and McCollum is just too much for them scoring 85 of the total 130 points.

Clippers not having PG is a bad thing, but I guess they have enough players to retain that 5th spot or even 4th spot depending on their matches. They have role players like Gordon, Hyland, Mann, Plumlee and others. I think that the Warriors have a chance to get that 4th spot because they will be playing 3 straight games on their home, and we know how good they are on their home.

Yup! this is really alarming but again I think what he really needs now is some rest, from all that he is doing it surely straining him in doing all he surely needs a rest once in a while just like what Steve Kerr is doing with the Golden State's main players,
I don't know if resting Kawhi Leonard is the best option for the Clippers.

It's kind of "Pick your Poison" for the Clippers right now. You make Kawhi rest, there's a chance that your team will lose... or a higher chance of the team losing because PG isn't playing as well because of an injury, and with how tight the Western Conference still with only a few games left, a mere 3 game losing streak might put them down, and worse they might go into a play-in spot.

Now if you choose Kawhi to play, his performance will decrease over time because I don't know if this is accurate, but in his past teams, he didn't ever play back-to back games in regular season (Correct me still) because of load management. In the past, Clippers let Kawhi rest because of load management, but this time, they can't afford to do it.

Right now, it's either Kawhi will adjust himself, or his team will lose.

Charlotte Hornets - Dallas Mavericks - Dallas Mavericks (-10.5) They already defeated the Hornets yesterday with an 8-point lead, I hope this time they can cover the spread. And, wishing Luka to have a fun game, stop all the drama about not having fun anymore, and just be competitive again.
Tim Hardaway is probable to play.
The Mavericks are struggling, losing again against a bottom seeded team in Hornets.

Currently, they are in a 4 game losing streak and losing 7 out of their last 10 games, and now out of the play-in tournament. Their remaining 7 games will be very important for them because they're now 1 game behind the 10th seeded Thunder. It seems like the Luka-Kyrie tandem turned out as a fail for the Mavericks isn't it? Do you agree? They gave away defensive first players for an offensive first and ball handler player.

That's a very risky gamble for the Mavericks, but if they will not enter the playoffs this season, it's either they will not sign Kyrie, and pick players who's specialty is defense, or sign him still and pick some defensive minded players.
1732  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is the biggest problem you think AI can fix in gambling on: March 26, 2023, 03:48:05 PM
Legality of it, customer service of every gambling casino (maybe? Cheesy), frauds and cheats being done by users with 100% accuracy.

Some of these might not happen or might not even need an AI to solve, but if there's something that an AI can fix, I guess it's the legality of the website. I mean if an AI can check it's past and can search online if there are some complaints against them then good. AI's ability is limitless, and we've seen AI websites already that we've never seen before. We've seen AI websites that are doing what we can't do in the past in a quicker way. Legality of a gambling website is very much needed for the users to trust that website.

Right now, I can't think of any way that an AI can solve in gambling, but who knows. We might see AI and gambling together in the future.
1733  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: March 26, 2023, 03:29:58 PM
I think it's normal for SMB to need to win Game 2 so they won't be down 0-2 going into Game 3. Unfortunately for them, they still lack offense, as seen in Game 2, and their import is not contributing much, thanks to Justin Brownlee's great defense.

I guess this series might end in Game 3 as Ginebra will make sure to rest early.

JMF's absence is a big loss, and it's a tough experience for Coach Jorge Gallent. Maybe they could bring back Coach Leo Austria, who is a master at maximizing JMF.
The combination of Brownlee and Standhardinger is just too much for the SMB to handle. Standhardinger is most of the time being defended by Tautuaa, and he can't defend him because of CStand's craftiness when it comes to shooting. I mean we've seen him shooting some circus shots and some unexpected shots. No wonder why he is currently the leading MVP candidate. Both CStand and Brownlee got 32 points while Brownlee is just 3 assists away from getting that triple double.

In Game 3, expect the Beermen to win. It's not a certainty, but I don't think that the SMB will just let themselves get swept against their sister team.

As for the first game, I can feel the frustration towards Hollis-Jefferson's face because of his missed free throw in the dying seconds of the game. He has the opportunity to take the lead in the final seconds thru 2 free throws. Missed one and the one went in to tie the ball game then it went to overtime. I mean what if he didn't miss that free throw then they are now leading 2-0, but instead that missed free throw made the series tied at one a piece, and that's the first loss of Hollis-Jefferson this season.

McDaniels is just a monster on this game scoring 39 points with 20 rebounds as well. Newsome isn't having a good night as well scoring 5 points, but Black scored 28 points. I just hope that Hodge is ok after that not-so-good fall in the final seconds of the game.

You just did a great job not lending your cousin.
If you feel that he/she will not pay you in the future then what's the reason why you lend money to him/her. Trust hasn't been there. It's like those banks where if you have a low credit score, they see you as untrustworthy therefore, they will not let you borrow.

Lucky for me, I didn't encounter that kind of scenario as well. Maybe because I'm good at keeping my assets, and I'm not sharing anything that's related to my money to anybody here (even to my own family Cheesy). Don't get affected if he doesn't talk to you anymore because after all, you see him as an untrustworthy person. If you are affected that much because of your decision, you can try and approach him and lend him a few dollars to at least build the trust.
1735  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: March 26, 2023, 01:31:15 PM
We have an exciting game to watch and bet on tomorrow. I see this as a potential championship matchup between the Bucks and the Nuggets. The Nuggets are favored by -2.5 points at home, and they are probably the public favorite in this game.

What do you think, is it right to bet on the home team or should we continue to back the Bucks, who have been so dominant in their past few games?
It ended with the Nuggets blowing out the 76ers with a 3rd quarter comeback. 34 against 19 points in that quarter. The game was so intense, three Bucks players were called for technical fouls. Giannis, Bobby, and Lopez. They didn't like how the referees are officiating the game, especially with Giannis always attacking the paint with no fouls being called. While on the other hand, Jokic had their attention which resulted in 10 of 11 in the stripe.
Don't forget the poster made by Jeff Green against Giannis. He's a 36-year old veteran, but with a verticality of a 20-year old guy.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Be-mh7V3qIA
Giannis lead his team with 31 points while 3 of their starters scored the exact same number of points with 13 (which is kind of unique, and weird at the same time). Anyway, these referees are becoming worse and worse. Hmm what's happening with them.

Clippers vs Pels - I'll go with the Clippers at home here, -4.5 @1.88

It's too bad that the Clippers lost again. They certainly miss the services of Paul George, and Leonard struggled with only 12 points due to a poor shooting night. I hope Paul George can return soon so that this team can be competitive in the playoffs. Right now, I don't trust the Clippers, so I'll choose to bet on other teams instead, especially the Warriors, who have been impressive at home
Kawhi is having a bad night scoring only 12 points with 4/16 on the field. Other players helped offensively as well, but the combination of Ingram, Murphy III, and McCollum is just too much for them scoring 85 of the total 130 points.

1736  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What do you think about this? on: March 26, 2023, 01:15:35 PM
Recently, a Uganda pastor who won 100million shillings decided to shut down his ministry. This left me with several questions in my head, such as ' Do religious leaders gamble? Is it right for religious leaders to gamble? Knowing fully well that most of them preach against gambling in their religious places. What is the ethical and moral implications of gambling, particularly in the context of religious practices and beliefs?

Well, priests are human and some even have sex despite being forbidden to do so (although depending on the type of church, not all are forbidden to do so), so I am not surprised that they gamble. In this case, given that he was betting and after winning that amount he has decided to shut down the ministry, it seems to me that he is going to indulge in earthly pleasures for a while.

Well, no surprises at all because like you said, pastors are also humans and they aren't Gods who aren't doing anything wrong. They're humans as well that also making mistakes so TBH, I didn't surprised at all. What I'm surprised with is the fact that he confessed, and didn't lie at all. I mean for a pastor to go gamble and luckily won, he might lie unto it, but he confessed and really said it to public which is a good thing.

I've also seen news here in our country regarding a priest having an affair with a teen that is on their singing choir, but eventually got arrested. I also saw a priest here in our place making fights with an opposite party because of elections.
1737  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin can't become world currency (at least now). on: March 26, 2023, 12:57:15 PM
Bitcoin doesn't need to be a global currency like Dollar. Bitcoin isn't the same as Dollar because Dollar is the currency of US and all of the countries just agreed for it to be the world's accepted currency. As for Bitcoin, it might not been accepted globally because only few are using it still, but people can just use it.

TBH, any item or thing that has value can be traded for whatever it is as long as both parties agreed to it. You can exchange your house and lot into a Lamborghini car. You can exchange you 100-year old jar into Bitcoin if both agrees. I mean Bitcoin doesn't need to be a world currency, but it will be used as an alternative way of buying things either online or in person (whenever you buy). I'm not expecting this kind of thing to happen as well.

However, I'm not sure why Trae Young just played 14 minutes? did he got himself injured in this game?

Trae got ejected in the third quarter because he threw the ball "to hard" to the ref, haha. How this in enough to through a player out I don't understand, these refs are getting more and more like a Karen.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5dXqZt5moRE

Something has to change I think.
The referees are becoming more and more sensitive nowadays TBH.

Player screams on their teammate because of wrong plays, they give him a technical. Player shows some gestures, or actions that's against the referees, they will get a technical or worse pay fines. Player will rant against their wrongdoings, they get fined. I did watch that video, and I think there's too much force on that throw, and maybe the referee close to where he threw the ball got hit (didn't see in the video) that's why he was ejected. However, being ejected just because of that was too much. I mean the referee can just give a technical to Young, but instead the referee ejected. Referees really are becoming more sensitive right now.

Well, it's a good thing that the Hawks still won that game despite Young not playing.
1739  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Meme coins still a good invest? on: March 25, 2023, 04:07:15 PM
Do you think that meme coins still have a chance to do well in the next bull market? Would you still invest on projects like shiba inu and floki inu.
Yes, but only those at the top like DOGE and SHIB.
The other meme coins? There might be a chance that some of the bottom meme coins might go up as well because it's a bull market, and most if not all of the coins are going up. Even the shitcoins are going up.

Floki Inu? Heard that coin once, and once advertised by Elon Musk as well, but I don't think that it's a good coin to invest at first place. TBH, there might be a chance that we might see another version of memecoins emerging during a bull market. I mean we've seen new types of memecoins or shitcoins back a few years ago when it was hyped. We've seen memecoins with lots of burning mechanism, memecoins with lot's of supply, but it turns out they will just burn it until no token is left.

Overall, memecoins are still a good coin to invest, but not a good mid to long term investment at all. Even the top memecoin, DOGE isn't a good long term coin to hold because of it's feature of it being inflationary.

Someone contacted me today that she needed bitcoin, I quickly search for bitcoin vendors, God so kind a friend of mine introduced me where I can get it easily. Those vendors have refers benefits, whoever bring client will always get 1% of whatever units of bitcoin the client will purchases.

I go extra miles to verify the authenticity of those vendors without telling the woman to avoid trouble or scam threat. But at the end the woman bought 10% of the current price and she later call me that she loves transparent people I should send my account details and she bless me with 50k my local currency plus vendors refers benefits of 10k. Lol, this amount is called small is beautiful.

I have a total of $100 and I quickly used it to invest in bitcoin, the money is amicabily disappearing. Lol. Is God not good?
Short and concise I must say.
However, I'm curious on how did a woman contacted you out of nowhere? Is it possible that you are offering your services online already, and you're kind of trustworthy to the eyes of that woman thus, he made you as a midman on his transaction.

At least tell where did that woman contacted you, or how did she contacted you. It's impossible that a random stranger out of nowhere will just hire you as a midman, but anyhow, being rewarded for the work you've done is considered a good thing. It's good that you invested it immediately into Bitcoin as well instead of spending it to some useless things. I just hope that you will continue investing into Bitcoin, and not just hoping that you're $100 investment into Bitcoin will become a 6-digit price in the future. Cheesy
