1781  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Some projects which can grow bigger in the next few years on: September 22, 2022, 03:44:08 AM
It’s really hard to be an early investor of any project regardless of how good they are. People have barely invested in BTC when it was cheap. So does the ETH and a lot of other cryptocurrency.
Do you think there are few projects existed now which will be 10x-100x in the next few years. Maybe in 2025/26? I'm planning to research on such few projects and invest little sum on them. Let me know if you think any of the prpject will grow such bigger in next 3/4 years.

Yeah. There’s a lot of potential project that can grow more than more than x10 once they get the proper spotlight. You can start on Near protocol, Telos and API3, They are all a very good blockchain project that focus on different aspect of Blockchain needs. There current value is below 20$ and has a lot of potential growth compared with SOL, AVAX and other blockchain project that already reached there peak ATH.

there may be tokens worth investing but now is not the time for buying some of them. the rest of us are probably holding tokens since the bullrun and have not sold any of it which they have already lost a lot of money since the bear market.

because the bear market is not yet over, it will be best to just hold your stablecoin. SOL a month a go was tempting to buy but now that is also took a nose dive back to $30, you could have lose some money. a verifiable bull run will be a good time to buy.
1782  Other / Politics & Society / Re: High inflation is causing GLOBAL protests on: September 22, 2022, 03:07:27 AM
Plus the last time Russia did a "partial mobilization" was targeted to Austria-Hungary, there as also partial mobilizations done during the Russia-Japan War, both which became the forerunner of World War I. If we take history, and learn from it, it teaches us that "partial mobilizations" has always been an "opening" for a wider-ranging war.

I don't think that the ongoing conflict will spiral towards a wider regional conflict. Neither Russia, nor the neighboring EU nations can afford a regional conflict, in which hundreds of thousands of individuals, or even millions will be killed. And considering the fact that Russia is the country with one of the largest nuclear arsenals, I don't think that NATO will risk a direct conflict with the Russians. For now the proxy conflict will go on. And I don't see either sides making much progress (territorially) before the war ends in stalemate.

we are yet to know. liz truss also announce of Nuclear launch before Putin but people were cheering for her. but when Putin also said he is willing also to fight back with the more sophisticated weapon everyone frown lol

this war will likely blow wider if none is going to the negotiation table. Macron of France is willing but its just words besides he has no say about this since Its the EU or US who has the decision of all these.

1783  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How mentally prepared are you? on: September 22, 2022, 02:30:07 AM
Another big mistake is taking a loan if you don't have collateral or the means to pay it back when the time comes. I know people who take loans with over collateralized assets, but if you must do it, please be careful so you don't receive margin calls.
This is like a never ending experience for many. Usually, this comes during the bull run and those that have been enticed by the market and they think that it's there to stay at the top.
Much better to not do it and avoid doing so because you'll never like the consequence that it'll give to you. Just use your own money so that you're mentally prepared that you know what you're up to unlike borrowing with an unknown market behavior plus the obligation that you'll get to pay sum with the interest.

Not just by taking a loan, some i know quit their job to focus on crypto trading way back in 2017 because we are in a massive bull run that time and they think that it will go parabolic or at least they will still make the some money in a bear market, but it's not.

So yeah, takes a lot of mental preparation as the market is about timing, up and down. In bull market, everyone is very happy, but when we enter bearish cycle, it become a problem for everyone.

newbies who had not experienced the bear market will always be devastated by how much the price will dip. but i'm quite sure they didn't really go full into BTC as they have all know Bitcoin is being demonized here and there by media. the ones who go all in are the ones very stupid who had not done their research.

but its true though that it could lead to mental retardation. bear market is stressful. some who dive into leverage and lose all would even commit suicide.
1784  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Don't keep connected your wallet to a Dapps for a long time. on: September 21, 2022, 08:45:52 PM

Just keeping your wallet connected to a dapp/website won't do this, you'd also have to click to sign or authorise a transaction too.
I thought the same as you. Also, victims thought the same things. But connect a long time is harmful. According to metamask seed would be compromised this way where you don't need to approve from your wallet. The victim is pretty sure the device hasn't been hacked. If a transaction happens from the device then there should be a history on the wallet. But nothing, only history funds on the chain.
As pointed out that the dApp or website will need the wallet owner to authorize a transaction before can it be executed? I think people are missing the point here that there's a vulnerability found in some certain old version MetaMask through which they can steal a wallet passphrase and the person that still make use of the Metamask version will believe its because he contacted his wallet to a dApp or website.
I once created a thread about this but people didn't take it seriously.

so your seed will be exposed to the hackers or to the 3rd party app where a victim is connected for a long time. seem a huge vulnerability but not patched. amazing how they can authorize a transaction remotely. i think metamask can disconnect if the wallet is inactive for several hours to make sure of its security.
1785  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How I feel about play to earn games on: September 21, 2022, 09:12:45 AM
we are going to find out in the next bullrun, its the only time that theyd again be attractive to players. i have been playing one game but its also not enough to make a dollar a week.

if eth once again will go up to 4k. maybe those players will come back to earn from the game. payout always attract activities. axie players are also disappointed.
1786  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Casino and prisons on: September 21, 2022, 03:25:34 AM
Gambling will continue to happen everywhere, independent if it's banned or not.

That's pretty much how humans work.

It doesn't matter if people are in a prison, they will still find a way to gamble.

happens in school too. there are lots of gambling activity when i was just in gradeschool were we just guess the year when a coin was made. its kind of a guessing game only where we just bet how much in peso and then pick a year when it was minted. this might not be played anymore.
in prison there are so much to gamble as they can watch bastketball games on TV. they can even play BINGO game.

but becoming a real casino is a different story.
1787  Economy / Economics / Re: Going to war means let's ulter the economic progression on: September 21, 2022, 03:15:28 AM
during the war in Syria, the country had not recover since. the cities that once flourished to be abundant with economic activity died. same with all the wars that happened before Russia and Ukraine. Iraq up to this day had not come back to its fullest despite the years have past.

Ukraine had gotten lots of support which they can fight back. But the countries like Syria, Yugoslavia and etc. the economy of these countries also died. my father was one of those who go home devastated by the war. Its why his stories sinked in my mind.
1788  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin island in the Philippines? on: September 21, 2022, 01:30:03 AM
I heard from the Philippines is a crypto-friendly country. Once I was abroad there were Filipinos with me and discuss crypto. However, it's a good initiative, especially encouraging crypto users to visit their resort. Definitely, this is a real Bitcoin adaption. If it draws attention from people then more adaption would be happening there. Let's think positively and visit the resort whoever is nearby to share the real experience.

most tourists who visits Philippines always include Boracay on their itinerary and owners of businesses in the island are often foreigners of this country also. if more of these tourist influences the local to adopt BTC, i don't see it not possible. i remember there was a blockchain event in the island years ago. so that might have influenced businesses and people in the island.

Pouch however is not widely known in the country, its coins.ph is the most popular wallet.
1789  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETH is always one step behind the competition on: September 20, 2022, 03:11:11 AM
The trust ethereum enjoy is far bigger than any other cryptocurrency and staying the most trusted currency need you to stay in best of your shape. Ethereum achieved that by always being very objective and critical in a market of gambling. Achieving the success no other currency could.

but becoming a POS is like taking more than 100 steps backwards which is now making it more centralized. we have seen USDT being frozen before the POS shifting. this time the freezing of funds might be rampant if the SEC get the hold of ETH holders and exchanges.

they are also targeting BTC to change its codes to become POS. crypto will die so we really need something better than ETH which tokens  can migrate there.
1790  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2022-09-15] In the US conservationists want BTC to switch to PoS too on: September 20, 2022, 02:03:45 AM

BTC had been attacked for a long time and because they can't get to win, they are using Greenpeace.
Greenpeace is losing its plot after this anti Bitcoin publication. they are losing millions of donors from Bitcoiners who had funded them because of this and they don't deserve to be funded anymore. if BTC turned POS, this is going to become a security and we all know the SEC was aiming to regulate securities.
1791  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are you being secretive about your gambling activity? on: September 18, 2022, 04:21:27 PM

if you live under one roof its hard to hide it, everyone looks at what we do on our phones just when they pass by. if you are doing it on your laptop/desktop someone will eventually see the web page.

how do you hide your gambling activity from your family? i think i saw a thread asking something like this but mostly said don't keep secrets lol
1792  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🥊 The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: September 18, 2022, 03:22:33 PM
Song's cut is a killer. he manages to still fight in the 4th round. Cory should have won this fight. what made the decision win for Song is surprising. if there is 5th, it will be Cory's. i'm not the judge but it would make me feel good to see Song win. but if i am a judge i'll give him the 5th. i feel the pain when i saw the gruesome image. an elbow did that? feels like seeing Overeem's lip again.
1793  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: A New way to scam People || Be aware and don't fall for it. on: September 18, 2022, 02:53:47 PM
It's quite common actually. Someone claims to have naked photos of you and demand some ransom.

Just delete them and move along.

yez i have read of this before back in 2016. this is not new anymore and there are threads about this in this forum itself. if somebody falls for this he got to be someone who really jack himself in front of a camera.

the hacker is not very smart to really personalize the email. but it would somehow scare the hell if he says good day Crypt0S0ul, i know where you live, your name is .. and your address is ...
1794  Other / Politics & Society / Re: High inflation is causing GLOBAL protests on: September 18, 2022, 08:06:58 AM
Inflation is just figures indicating certain metrics. The actual effect of inflation is felt by the masses, especially the poor and middle class. They are usually the least financially educated, and with Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) being badly affected by poor fiscal policies, they also lose sources of income.

in the USA people were given so much money due to the pandemic now the situation is still terrible is it not ?

The idea of printing excessive amounts of money to stimulate spending was a sort of band aid solution to a critical issue, leading to higher inflation and higher cost of living.
What are protests going to do - Government are not much concerns about people interest they are much concerned about the Ukraine and Russia war how to put sanctions on countries which are neutral - and how to make a regime change. This inflation is obvious.

I am fully convinced that Ukraine war is the root cause of all economic crisis the world is passing though since beginning of 2022 because it created supply chain issues of crude oil & food products which triggered rise in inflation all over the world, Unfortunately this war is not coming to end because neither Russia or Ukraine is winning this war. The people in many countries are protesting because they can not afford to pay their sky rocketing  electricity & gas bills & if inflation is not brought under control then these protests can create massive unrest.

it started with COVID lock downs that disrupts supply chain.
we're all connected to each other. if one super power declines the ones dependent on it also declines and their currencies also suffers inflation. Ukraine war amplifies the crisis because the sanctions affected everyone from wheat production to gas supply.

protest will really arise when people gets hungry, no jobs and have no money to pay services. we're seeing these to EU countries now.
1795  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Canelo vs Golovkin 3 - September 17 on: September 18, 2022, 07:07:46 AM
it took 12 rounds and a decision to defeat GGG. seem not a real fight to me actually. canelo seem very careful in getting too close to fight toe to toe. no highlight that really inflicts damage. its either that or he makes sure the crowd will enjoy a 12 round fight for the independence day celebration. anyone see it like this is an exhibition fight?

1796  Other / Politics & Society / Re: The economic danger of China and Taiwan war on: September 17, 2022, 04:00:31 PM

war is expensive and everyone will lose especially Taiwan. one drop of bomb to this tiny island and there is nothing to fight for. sure that's not what Taiwan wants. but

is that what China wants?
is that what US wants?
who between them benefits if Taiwan crumbles to the ground?

strange times actually and its like there is no adult in the room to tell both parties not to escalate. if its only the Chip manufacturing industry that US wants, they can also manufacture in US. why don't they do it there? that will benefit them economically.
1797  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2022-09-09]Crypto Mining Is Threatening US Climate Efforts, White House Warns on: September 17, 2022, 03:26:46 PM

they might be forcing BTC to become POS too now that they have successfully turned ETH to be one into believing cryptocurrency is adding the climate change problem. hard to make them turn to some other industries that actually is 100x worse yet protected by the ESG.

if they get support, it will result in banning BTC mining which Biden administration is aiming for in their crypto report.

1798  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will you buy a token if its price never went up and you could never sell it? on: September 17, 2022, 06:18:31 AM

if i want my money back, i would have to trade it to the market where i bought it. it will be good to see there will be buyers when i come back to trade. but if we can't sell them, how do we know the price is fixed?

one problem with stablecoin (USD) will be its purchasing power too. we all know how much gas per gallon already.  if today we can see $4/gallon. tomorrow we'd likely see more than $5-6. its best to buy gallons today than tomorrow. its best to try our chances in buying a coins where its value could go up.
1799  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: In your opinion, which altcoin do you think is going to be the new king of POW on: September 17, 2022, 06:02:10 AM
the ETHw is now a hot trend in CMC which is supported by many exchanges already. this will replace ETH position. but the king will still be BTC.

The miners will be happy to move to ETHw than going to LTC or other coins. It is unsure though if the ERC20 tokens will also migrate to ETHw. there will be major developments in this token and Vitalik is out of the picture. i guess making the team unknown will be much safer for ETHw.

1800  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin all over news so not unknown fiction anymore on: September 17, 2022, 05:55:16 AM

if it weren't for the people looking for ways to fight inflation, BTC might not be very known to them still.now that there is the necessary to look for something that will keep their wealth with them that banks will not confiscate, BTC will be the best alternative. cypto had reached to mainstream TV news programs, it will be better if channel will have a a crypto guy who will explain in details in prime time.
