1801  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Fate or lack of control - Gambling on: March 11, 2021, 10:22:27 PM
There is no such thing as fate. If you lose big then you only have yourself to blame. Maybe you learn a lesson from this and you believe it was meant to be because now it empowers you to get your gambling habit under control. You can perceive it however you want as long as you can take responsibility for your actions.
1802  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Did you earn or get any good money form airdrops? on: March 11, 2021, 04:10:18 AM
Back in the day there used to be a lot of airdrops for new altcoins. I remember receiving some XLM and immediately exchanged it for Bitcoin. It was not a large amount, only like $30 but if I had held it for a while maybe it would've been a few hundred dollars.

During the big ICO hype of 2017 there was some decent projects that were doing airdrops. Nowadays ICO's aren't that interesting and most airdropped tokens are almost worthless but you can still get good earnings from bounties where the requirements aren't too difficult to fulfill.
1803  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do I need to pay Tax on my Crypto Gambling Winnings? A guide on: March 11, 2021, 03:40:35 AM
I've never heard of anybody getting in trouble for not paying taxes on their gambling winnings. It is not something that will get you in trouble if you are in good standing with the IRS or whatever similar agency is in your country because you can just keep it a secret and they won't even know that you owe them money.
1804  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will Paypal make bitcoin mainstream? The website makes me think so... on: March 10, 2021, 10:54:34 PM
It is not something that I am too interested in because I prefer to use bitcoin in a decentralized peer-to-peer manner. For regular people who aren't into bitcoin already this will probably make them notice it and they will probably start considering their options for investing in BTC. Since they made their announcement we have certainly seen awareness and adoption begin to increase and it has had a noticeable impact on the price.
1805  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Blockchain.com responsible for loss of clients funds on: March 10, 2021, 03:44:31 AM
It does seem like it could be an inside job. Besides all the Reddit and TrustPilot cases there are similar stories that I have seen on Bitcointalk recently. There is no hard proof but if there has been an increase of similar cases they should really be doing more to look into what is causing this.

It is estimated that around a third of all Bitcoin transactions are made from Blockchain wallets. It is unfortunate that so many people are still using this wallet which has such a poor reputation.
1806  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Earning interest on coins through DeFi. Is it Safe/Legit? on: March 10, 2021, 12:35:46 AM
There is always some risk when you are trusting somebody else with your money. DeFi carries more risk because there is no insurance and there is no central authority you can go to that will protect you from being scammed. We've already seen people lose a lot of money due to hacks and scams but the promise of high returns is what lures investors into taking their chances.
1807  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Manny Pacquiao offered $10 million to fight Terence Crawford on: March 10, 2021, 12:05:38 AM
We will wait and see for the final announcement if there's still last fight or the family will win it over and keep Manny away from the ring.

The possibility of Manny's return to the ring this year is very likely and in fact, Team Pacman is planning to fight twice this year, one in May and the last fight would be in September, his farewell fight, and they planning to stage it in the Philippines.

With Manny's statement below, we are now 60 percent sure that his next opponent would be Garcia, not Ryan or Danny but Mikey  Smiley.

Quote
“We’re leaning towards Mikey Garcia, but we’re also talking to Crawford,” Pacquiao told Dyan Castillejo of ABS-CBN. “It depends on who I get to face, what’s important is I’m ready.

I am not such a big fan of seeing a fight with Mikey. He hasn't done anything at welterweight to deserve this kind of fight. Mikey's last fight was against a washed up Jessie Vargas and before that we have to go back to 2018 when he last beat a top fighter and that was at lightweight.
1808  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: BitfinexPay payment processor? on: March 09, 2021, 03:45:05 AM
BitPay used to have the biggest market share when it came to crypto payments but then they started requiring KYC and forcing people to use their payment protocol and people were turned off. Whichever payment processor makes it easy to pay while maintaining respect for our privacy will end up being the successor to BitPay but right now with these KYC requirements it is more convenient to just use fiat.
1809  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Do you think the price of BNB will go above $ 300? on: March 09, 2021, 03:29:18 AM
It was above $300 for a while a few weeks ago when everything was pumping. It still has a lot of momentum and only needs about a 20% gain to reach $300 again. There is a lot of projects building on Binance Chain and BSC. BNB has seen a good level of adoption so I see it continuing to go higher.
1810  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What about RSK? on: March 09, 2021, 01:27:02 AM
I believe Sovryn is a defi project that is building on RSK. It looks interesting but outside of this I haven't seen to many others that are using this sidechain. Bitcoin sidechains such as RSK and Liquid haven't gotten much attention because they are not get rich quick altcoins. In order to use these sidechains' native token you need to have bitcoin locked up, it is not as simple as printing money out of thin air and giving it away for free to promote your altcoin.
1811  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Estrada vs Chocolatito WBC, WBA & Ring Magazine Unification Fight on: March 08, 2021, 04:18:18 AM
I rewatched the first fight a few days ago and the fight was much closer than what the scorecards suggested. Estrada fought really well at a distance but Gonzalez was able to chase him down and force him to exchange. The 12th round was an absolute war and both guys were trying to win by knockout because they knew how close it was.

In that first fight Estrada had to go down a weight class but in the rematch they will be fighting two weights above at super flyweight. This should be Estrada's biggest advantage because he is naturally the bigger man.
1812  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is it bearish season yet? on: March 07, 2021, 11:08:38 PM
The market is not bearish yet because we are still way up from the beginning of the year. The price is currently over $50,000. It might've gone down for a few weeks after hitting it's ATH but has quickly rebounded after a temporary correction. Things are still bullish to me so I would take this opportunity to stack the dip.
1813  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: FreeBitco.in-$200 FreeBTC🏎Win Lambo🔥0.2BTC DailyJackpot🏆$32,500 Wager Contest on: March 06, 2021, 07:18:27 PM
I have one question about referrals that didn't add their withdrawal address - so if a user signed up via a ref link and didn't add a BTC address, I guess we don't see it on the referral list? I have a friend who was interested in this, but when he tried to add his bc1 (native segwit) address, it was unfortunately not supported - isn't it time for this service to make it possible?

You can still send to native segwit bech32 addresses if you request slow or instant withdrawal. It is only not supported for auto-withdraw because they don't want to take the site offline to implement it.

Yes, you can. Bech32 addresses can be entered on the withdraw page but you can't set the default withdrawal address on the profile page. Adding that requires a major database reorganisation that would require a lot of downtime.
1814  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Tyson Fury vs. Anthony Joshua on: March 06, 2021, 04:10:29 AM
Yes, Mayweather vs Pacquiao still holds the record.

I'm saying for the Heavyweight division though, I think Lennox Lewis vs Mike Tyson or Mike Tyson vs Evander Holyfield holds the record for the division.

And again, this is all British fight, so I'm sure Brits are going to buy tickets to see the fight live or PPV. However, this pandemic really throws everything out of the window.

I don't know if this will break the heavyweight PPV record for most buys but with inflation it could probably generate more revenue. According to some rumors their combined purses could be over $100 million so they would have to sell a lot of PPV to make that money back. Without a doubt it will break the UK record even with a significant price increase from the typical PPV event.
1815  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Shall I HODL DOGE? on: March 06, 2021, 12:54:33 AM
Recently I heard news about Dogecoin being accepted by an NBA team, the Dallas Mavericks. Now that this meme coin has become mainstream we are not seeing these news or statements from Elon Musk affecting the price very much. Now that everyone is speculating on it's price then we might not see the big pumps that we have been used to in the past. The only reason to still be holding it now would be for fun and not because you're expecting to become rich.
1816  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The World Without Bitcoin on: March 05, 2021, 07:23:30 PM
Without Bitcoin many peoples lives would be a complete disaster. There are many who are disenfranchised and don't have access to traditional payment methods. We see in Nigeria particularly where a large percentage of the population is using Bitcoin to protect their wealth from inflation and because many are unbanked.
1817  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Paypal Experimenting with smart contract !! on: March 05, 2021, 01:23:31 AM
I don't see how smart contracts will help PayPal in any way, especially if they are creating Ethereum on-chain transactions. PayPal is already faster and more efficient than Ethereum could ever hope to be. They are much better off using centralized servers than something as slow and expensive as a decentralized blockchain. We have heard of other companies using ETH or private forks but it never amounted to more than a few headlines and nothing really came of it.
1818  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Manny Pacquiao offered $10 million to fight Terence Crawford on: March 04, 2021, 10:38:20 PM
A few days ago Mikey Garcia claimed that he was going to be fighting Manny Pacquiao next. I would be disappointed if that were Manny's next opponent. However, it wouldn't be the first time someone thought they would be fighting Pacquiao next only for the fight to never materialize. Just a few weeks ago Ryan Garcia thought he would be fighting Manny Pacquiao.

Merging BFG into a single unified token makes perfect sense. Usurprisingly, this option is well ahead with over 90% of the vote.

It was becoming a waste of time to try and earn BFG(TRX) tokens because the dividends were not great and it takes longer to recuperate what you wagered to mine the token.
1820  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: [Unofficial] Coinpot.co - new microwallet on: March 04, 2021, 08:24:12 PM
is this new site legit : https://coinpot.in/  ?

copycat scam ? Same name, different extension.

If they were legit I don't think they would be using the same name as Coinpot. Having the same name as another faucet site might get you traffic but it is just confusing and not good for their brand. If anybody decides to sign up for this site I would suggest not depositing any money with them.
