it's the right forum and you can start posting but you must have a minimum of activity

You don't need anything now. You can post anywhere straight away.

Exactly.

oxfardk, you may refer to my above post.

The site looks good, but you could have used other btc exchanges like coinbase or bitstamp...

1829  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: I want in will my PC even do it? on: February 01, 2014, 05:20:58 PM
Yep, I'm already getting the card anyhow. If I can make a buck for doing so that's gravy. I wonder though, even if it's not exactly profitable, since my computer is on 24/7 anyhow, won't I at least cut down on my electric bills?

I got most of what you're saying Film. In a few months I'll have the rest of it hopefully. Is it a pretty straightforward affair to swap Alt coins for BTC, and then to hard currency?

You may try to use Multipool. https://www.multipool.us/
It allows you to mine the most profitable coin automatically.

But, don't expect to get much from it, as ATI/AMD graphics card works much better in mining.
For the scrypt hashrate of different cards, you may refer to the following page.

1830  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: 120GH/s Rig at 400$ profitable? on: February 01, 2014, 05:13:49 PM
Please keep us updated regarding this. They seem to be selling for $2-3k in Canada.

1831  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Any info on coin.mx? on: February 01, 2014, 05:07:52 PM
But before you can buy you have to get verified which requires the last 4 digits of your social security number.

The social security number is never needed in ID varification for all other exchanges. It sounds a bit odd to me....

You may try Multipool.

1836  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: HELP A NEWB save an idiot from his own demise on: February 01, 2014, 04:52:19 PM
It is so hard for me to read and understand your post  Sad

...
I read a good place to go for newbs is coinbase well I started there and absolutely refuse to pay $800 something for a measly ass .25 bitcoins...

I guess you must have misread something....It is impossible that you can only get 0.25btc for $800 on coinbase.
1837  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: will the bitcoin reach $1000 one day...? on: February 01, 2014, 04:46:06 PM

1839  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Non-scam Scrypt Miners on: February 01, 2014, 04:40:18 PM
You can build GPU rigs for scrypt coin mining.

For the hashrate, you may check it here.

1840  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Fiat Withdraw limits on BTC-e, Bitstamp, Mt.Gox? on: February 01, 2014, 04:37:56 PM
Why not Gox, because of taxes or just because it takes to long?

Regards,

CH

Because it takes months to get cash out. Takes a while getting cash in and verified too.

Exactly.
People have been waiting for months for their USD withdrawals...
