1821  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: [Unofficial] Coinpot.co - new microwallet on: March 04, 2021, 01:08:28 AM
they actually made some fairly big batches of payments on 1st march (UTC  time)  for each coin - so i would assume these include all the final withdrawals

It's misleading to say they made big batches. The size of the transaction might've been big but the payments were for really small amounts. I find it hard to believe that only people with around $5 worth of BTC had payments pending.

anyone still not received a requested withdrawal has probably had their account flagged, and shouldnt expect to receive it

That does not appear to be the case. Their selection on who will receive payment is based on how much funds are available in their hot wallet. They don't even need to bother with these arbitrary account suspensions. If they refill their wallets with more than a few hundred dollars then you might be lucky enough to receive payment otherwise you're just among the many who are being scammed.

I agree, I don't think a lot of people have yet to see the potential for holding a good amount of FUN tokens to earn more interest. I believe if we hold the max amount that it will give the highest Bitcoin interest in the crypto space. The key is to hold for the long term to take full advantage of this which I am planning to do. Just need to build up my account and FUN tokens.

Most people won't be earning the full 5.10% max interest, but it is still a good deal because FreeBitco.in doesn't require any KYC. The barriers of entry are the lowest among anybody offering interest on your bitcoin savings. You are also not going to have withdrawal limits imposed on your account.
1823  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Estrada vs Chocolatito WBC, WBA & Ring Magazine Unification Fight on: March 03, 2021, 07:51:08 PM
I just watched the devastating loss of Chocolatito, he is a fighter who loves to slug it out, that's his style he will not run in any fight he loves to move forward, engage and go all out, and he will likely get knocked out against big puncher if Estrada now has that, then he has a good chance of winning, I expect Chocolatito to move forward and slug it out, Estrada should be ready to this.

Estrada is known more as a technical fighter but in his last fight, against Carlos Cuadras, he engaged in a slugfest. He was dropped in the 3rd round and was also bloodied in the fight. This fight against Chocolatito has the potential to play out similarly. Chocolatito is from Nicaragua but he has that Mexican fighting style.  I am expecting a very entertaining fight.
1824  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: [Unofficial] Coinpot.co - new microwallet on: March 03, 2021, 04:00:16 AM
All of the domains associated with Coinpot are now completely offline, there isn't even a message saying they are under maintenance. They did make one final payment on the last day of February but it was all for very small amounts. The biggest payment was for less than 40k sats.

This is probably the end of the line. Anybody who still had a pending payment shouldn't hold their breath.
1825  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Estrada vs Chocolatito WBC, WBA & Ring Magazine Unification Fight on: March 03, 2021, 02:00:03 AM
I don't understand why Estrada is the betting favorite when he lost the first fight?

Anyway, although Chocolatito is the older fighter, and has lost 2 out of 6 in his last fight, I think he still has that last push to beat his rival here. We are talking about pride as well, he had beaten Estrada already in an epic war and he will love to do it again and prove that he is one of the greatest Super-Flyweight in the modern era. So I have Chocolatito winning in another unanimous decision.

The first fight was close and could have gone either way. If I remember correctly most people felt that Estrada should have won.

This is a rematch that has been several years in the making. Chocolatito was brutally knocked out a few fights ago and people thought he was done. He came back and won a title against a good opponent, Kal Yafai, who was favored to beat him. I really wouldn't count him out at this point but Estrada is closer to his prime and that's who I would put my money on.
1826  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does knowing your sport and teams really make you better at betting on them? on: March 02, 2021, 11:22:35 PM
If you're just blindly betting on a sport you know nothing about then of course you're going to do much worse. However, if you don't know much about a sport then you can just go by what the odds are telling you is favored to win and you should do reasonably well.
1827  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Need advice on: March 02, 2021, 09:06:12 PM
If you start mining then you will have to sell your coins along the way to make back the money you spent on building your mining operation. If the market becomes bearish then you might end up losing more money than you are making.

Investing in coins is clearly the better option. You can just buy the most popular coins and the odds are that they will increase in value over time. Just don't go too heavy on random shitcoins.
1828  Other / Serious discussion / Re: Are Bill Gates comment to blame for BTC price instability these days on: March 02, 2021, 03:32:58 AM
People are always looking for something or someone to blame. Bill Gates is not really relevant to Bitcoin and can not affect the price in any significant way unless he used his billions to make a large purchase. He is not a regulator and can't determine government policy so his words alone aren't going to be enough to cause a change in the market.
1829  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BUSD Vs. USDT on: March 02, 2021, 02:57:41 AM
Binance has all the hype right now but USDT is far more established and is available on multiple networks so it is more widely supported in the industry. Many decentralized exchanges have added USDT as a substitute for real US dollars. BUSD still has a long way to go to be able to catch up and right now Binance seems to be more focused on competing with ETH than competing with Tether.

Where we can see those contenders for this promo? aside from knowing that the user # 39472069 is the number, in which part of the website we can see the other candidates?

And how much is the distribution from top 1 to top 10?

You can see this information if you click on the TOKEN tab. There should be some red text on the page that says "REFER YOUR FRIENDS AND WIN 2,000,000 FUN TOKENS!". When you click on it it will bring up this leaderboard:

1831  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: [Unofficial] Coinpot.co - new microwallet on: March 01, 2021, 02:02:49 AM
I requested my withdrawal almost month ago and still haven't got it. I'm still not worried much and I'm not screaming scam, but it's annoying to wait my coins for so long.

I don't know what this means but they have taken Coinpot offline. There are still a lot of people who initiated withdrawals many weeks ago waiting to be paid.
I thought they would continue making payments in the next few days but now it is looking uncertain.

Update: They are back online but you can't login to view the status of pending payouts.
1832  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: dogecoin's withdrawal stuck on: March 01, 2021, 01:00:12 AM
I wouldn't bet on that... As FinneysTrueVision said above the Dogecoin code is a fork of BTC one, so it is very similar to bitcoin and the mining process has no reason to not be the same, at least in its basic principles. A proof of that : it has released the transaction from the mempool after 2 weeks exactly like Bitcoin would have done...
Doge source code is a fork of bitcoin but there were many updates in bitcoin in the past several years and RBF (Replace By Fee) or CPFP were included recently and if you look at Doge they did not upgraded these in their code and when the price of Doge started rallying the developers said they will be updating everything that they left out in the past few years and we might see those upgrades soon.

Dogecoin already supports RBF and CPFP but most wallet implementations do not support these features. Due to this, the developers reduced the default mempool expiry from 14 days to 24 hours. This change was included in the latest Dogecoin Core version which was released earlier today.
1833  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Canelo Alvarez vs Billy Joe Saunders - May 8 on: February 28, 2021, 11:06:20 PM
I am not too convinced that Billy Joe will be able to put up much of a fight against Canelo. Super middleweight is not his best weight class and it has been three years since his career best win against David Lemieux. After that fight he tested positive for PEDs when he was supposed to fight Andrade. Recently he's just been fighting against inferior competition hoping that the Canelo fight would drop in his lap. I think he has lost his hunger and will just use this fight as an opportunity to cash out. This would have probably been a better fight a few years ago at 160 lbs.
1834  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Canelo Alvarez vs. Avni Yildirim - February 27 on: February 28, 2021, 04:23:02 AM
Well, Canelo won easily on 3 rounds, while I think we all knew Canelo was going to win this fight it was a disappoint fight, Yildirim did almost nothing during the fight, he tried to defend himself and even that was not good enough, while we know this was the mandatory fight and Canelo had to accept it or lose his belt it is surprising how weak his opponent really was, these kind of fights do not really appeal to anyone except the fans of Canelo that want to see him win every fight, but for boxing fans that want to see a good fight this was a waste of time.

Yes, this was a waste of time. There was no point in making this fight. We knew Canelo would win easy and Yildirim would be lucky to make it past the early rounds. It played out exactly as was expected. I don't see any of Canelo's next potential opponents being that much more competitive. I hope Joshua vs. Fury gets finalized soon so that we have something more interesting to look forward too than another mismatch.
1835  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: dogecoin's withdrawal stuck on: February 27, 2021, 11:56:30 PM
No I don't think they couldn't do anything, I think they just didn't want to or didn't know how to manage this pretty elementary issue. A double spend transaction with the same UTXO and higher fees or a Child Pays For Parent transaction would have solve the problem quite easily IMO.
Not all blockchains are designed in the same way as Bitcoin. OP clearly stated that the betnomi support told him that it's not possible to perform a CPFP transaction on Dogecoin blockchain.

Dogecoin is a fork of Bitcoin and ancestor fee mining is implemented in it's code. It should be possible to do CPFP on Doge.
The only reason I can think of for Betnomi not being able to do this is because of the wallet software they are using or maybe they just didn't know how to do it.

If I'm the admin/owner of the casino, I will give you a compensation for the inconvenience although just a small amount or a bonus such as free spin or free bet on the site.

I agree with this. The error was entirely their fault and we have seen the price move around a lot in these past few weeks. Not only is it an inconvenience but their was also potential financial damage done by not being able to trade the coin when it was at a higher price.
1836  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: dogecoin's withdrawal stuck on: February 27, 2021, 07:03:02 PM
I hope you have received your money now. There has been some complaints recently about delayed withdrawals from this casino. Betnomi had already stated that they would upgrade their system to eliminate these delays so it surprises me that all these months later there are still issues.
1837  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Floyd Mayweather vs Curtis Jackson (50 Cent) on: February 27, 2021, 05:41:13 AM
Nothing has really materialized in this entire month and I think it might be worth considering closing this thread so we don't keep rehashing the same opinions. Floyd's most recent comments suggest that his fight against Logan Paul will be rescheduled.

Thank you for sharing this address, this is an interesting find. According to Freebitcoin figures 86 000 users bought 84 000 000 tokens till now that's about 1000 tokens per user. So to sell 3,75 billion tokens to users it will need to convince 3,75 million users.

There are also plans to do token burnings, developing new uses for FUN, and creating partnerships to increase demand. It will not be necessary to convince millions of users. The price should go upwards over time if we see these plans become a reality.

Maybe, high rollers will gamble on this 7 percent profit but not me lol (just a small fish).
Even a high roller would also doubt, too small return in a risk of big money.

There is at least one guy who bet $110,000 on Canelo winning. If he wins the bet his payout would be $2,750.

I wonder if it is just a publicity stunt to promote the casino, otherwise this is just insane.

I am not seeing much hype around this fight and I'm not sure I will bother to watch it live. I'm expecting it to end with an early KO.
1840  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sponsor Money from Casino, Is bad or Good? on: February 26, 2021, 01:20:37 AM
When somebody advertises something then there is obviously going to be some form of compensation. Even streamers who are not paid directly to advertise are still looking to make money from referrals and they don't intend on solely using their own income for something that carries a certain level of risk. Whether they feel like disclosing that they're playing with sponsor money or not isn't all that relevant to me because it is safe to assume that almost everyone is doing it out of self interest.
