I was watching yesterdays take off very closely. It failed as someone mentioned earlier a source code was given to the untrusted pool owner. A good decision to kill the project and relaunch, but in my opinion, a fail like that in a begining won't make any good for the coin's future.
I think the coin will ride nicely in early trading and sustain it's valuse because there's a real team behind it. 90% of these coin have good technical people behind them but no marketing to generate buzz. this coin is different Blackcoin is floundering right now value wise but looks at it's value compared to other coins - it's killing the me too coins and their marketing efforts will certainly pay off - this coin is the same way. |

Even with 1GH/s+ in net hash, the diff remained at less than 1 and with 2000 blocks in the first 30 minutes, multiple blocks were generated per second. So fast my CGminer couldn't even keep up and I wound up with nothing but rejects and orphans despite mining since launch. I noticed a ton of rejects and I'm running about 25 MH/s - just like all the rejects I noticed when I was in University! LOL |

Yes, Will the dev re-release or is he/she just saying "screw it I'm done"? I just heard from the leader of the dev team via private message - relaunch at 5 pm EST tomorrow and NO ONE will be trusted when it comes to pools - I just hope they block the offending pool owners who premined and fucked it up for everyone else. I hope they publish the pool owners name so that I know to NEVER EVER use that pool. He clearly can't be trusted and I would not trust him with my hash. |

What is UniversityCoin ?? I never heard about that ... have you got some of those ? they launched a few hours ago and then discovered that you can't trust pool owners and one of the pool owners was premining - screwed everything up and they had to kill everything. college kids - didn't know you can;t trust pool owners..... it looks promising - I'm still in but these morons cost hundreds of people a few hours of work and there are a lot of people pissed off at them - I do know that! |
